Meat and side dishes were very greasy and spoilt the taste. Not much meat in the meat dish.

Great as usual lamb shank fell off the bone unfortunately one item was missing from the order the onion Bhajis had disappeared.I noticed too late to contact the restaurant who have been helpful in the past.

We eat at this restaurant on a fairly regular basis. The food is very good and the service excellent. Just about the best Indian menu restaurant in Bexley. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just moved to the area and thought we’d try Ruchi out. Wow! Fantastic food (especially the paneer masala and naan), attentive and friendly staff, good pricing and a beautiful restaurant. 10/10!

Really sad to say, it wasn’t the best. Korma was like water and both mains were very bland. Poppadoms were the nicest bit. Sad as very long time since I’ve ordered from here and sadly think it’ll be the last.

The prawn dish was undercooked.

Just visited this evening with my friend for my Birthday. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and very nicely presented as is the table, real napkins and crisp white table clothes, the ambience and surroundings are very pleasant I would highly recommend.

Really disappointed, we have ordered from here a couple of times and I have ordered the vegetable Thali, on each occasion they forget to send the onion bhaji, despite being reminded. When you call them they say they will send it around but then your meal gets cold waiting and the other people you are eating with have finished. The thali also comes with a naan, so we asked if we could have a garlic naan, Instead of a plain one. He said that was OK but he would charge an extra £1......Really.. .we paid it but that coupled with the lack of bhajji, not impressed, won't use again

Not only was the food fantastic, but the restaurant modified my husband's curry to suit his dietary needs following recent surgery, and added a 'get well' message to his food container! They really went above and beyond. He enjoyed every mouthful.

Food was delivered late by 30 min. The quality was not good.

I got a takeaway, not even 15 mins and it was ready, the food was absolutely delicious and the chicken was tender. me and my partner will be coming back to dine in soon!

Been here twice and daaaaaaamn… SO GOOD!! outrageously good. The flavours do not disappoint, they only traumatise me because very little compares. Very reasonable prices, lovely service. Looking forward to when I am back. Next time I will try to leave room for dessert. Went after recommendation by my partner, whom’s family have been going for years.

I had Khara Paneer, Tandoori roti, Paratha. I requested a spicy one like you get in India and Chef made exactly the way I expecting, very delicious. Very less desert options though..

First time using (on the recommendation of my daughters 13yr old friend who is staying over!) and we were not disappointed Excellent quality - not greasy / oily - good portion sizes, fabulous taste and delivered both warm and on time

We went with friends and had an excellent biryani- the best I've ever had!!

Food was cold, chicken was dry and chewy and the onion salad i had requested was not included. Overall we were very disappointed.

The food arrived late but we were told beforehand, so it did not detract from the pleasure we got from eating the food.

Food from here is lovely as always, only bad thing is they sent meat samosas instead of vegetable with our vegetarian meal. It happened the last time we ordered too

Our absolute favourite Indian restaurant. Always a great service and the food is always hot and tasty. We love to eat in here but due to current lockdown we got a takeaway instead. Took one star off as the food wasn’t ready at the allotted time but it’s no big deal. The quality of the food more than makes you for it

I truly believe the Ruchi is the best in the area, the food arrives on time, hot and delicious and everyone that has delivered has been very courteous. I would recommend it every time.

Seem to have received someone else’s order that lives on the same street as their receipt was their bag with their name and address. Luckily they order the same thing as I did. Food was not as hot as normally is.

I got home with order after collecting waiting in restaurant for 15 mins after order should of been collected an item was missing so had to go back as could not deliver as too busy not enough staff there too give good service

Having tried many Indians this is by far the best by miles. Yes you may get cheaper or better decor elsewhere but the food and atmosphere is fantastic. Nice staff but the food is fantastic.

Average food. Nothing more or less. Trading on old reputation. A number of meals are just sauces with meat added. No ‘slow’ cooking. Needs updating.

We’ve been going to the Ruchi for years. It never disappoints. Great food, relaxed atmosphere together with prompt and attentive service are the reasons why I gave the Ruchi five well-deserved stars.

I ate here at the weekend with a group of friends, it was rather quiet as most people where watching the big football match.The food was tasty and arrived to the table hot, the portion sizes were generous and the staff are friendly and helpful, what's not to like? Would recommend.

I am 11 years old , i have just come back from my third visit at Ruchi's , because its so good , .I think Ruchi's restaurant has a very welcoming presence when you walk in. All the staff are really kind and when they take your order they speak to you in a very nice way. The food was cooked to perfection and nothing was wrong with it. Every bit of the food filled me up, as i am hungry all the time ! Thank you for your time and effort in your food and your work. We will definitely be coming back here again, very soon!

Love this place have used it since it opened and know the owner well Madam , we won't use any other Indian restaurant and get our takeaways from here. The food is excellent the staff are lively and friendly, it is more expensive than some other Indians but well worth it.

I so wanted this to be good, I really did. We live within walking distance of this restaurant, but instead choose to travel over to Welling for our weekly take-away fix, such is the quality of their food. I am however tiring of the journey, and would love nothing more than a first class take-away on my doorstep; cue a random Saturday night visit to Ruchi. On the surface, they have everything to tick the boxes; a double fronted unit knocked through to create a spacious restaurant that still leaves enough room around the bar and reception areas to afford space and privacy while waiting; Cold Cobra on draught; traditional and welcoming décor; a large and polite brigade of staff, and a very welcoming and likable manager. Our order should not have proven too challenging to an experienced kitchen; a Tandoori Mixed Grill, a Chicken Tikka Main, a Bombay Aloo, some Madras Sauce, and a Nan. On arriving home however, we were disappointed to find the food barely warm, with the accompanying salad a little more than a couple of bits of leaf, one cucumber slice, and one tomato slice. Even after a drive back from Welling, our usual take-away burns your fingers as you take the containers from the bag – if they can manage it, then surely a kitchen less than 1,000 meters away can ? The Bombay Aloo was tepid, and slightly overcooked in far too much sauce; the Madras Sauce had a slightly synthetic processed taste, and was too sweet. So, next weekend I will be braving the Friday night rush hour and once again heading for Welling, passing on the way the restaurant that appears to have everything – except a good chef.

As I was eating alone and love curry, i opted for the non veg Thali... What a feast I had. A popadom was brought early to keep me going til the food cooked..I was asked how hot I wanted. Thali used to appear on the menu in most Indian restaurants, now rare but a whole meal.. delicious chicken tikka cooked in a charcoal tandoor, served on a crisp salad, a delicious lamb curry, a chicken dish, lentils and vegetable curries too. Perfect naan and pilau rice too. Not a spot of grease and tender meat. Great service from all staff. A great way for a lone dine to eat a balanced meal... less than £20 with a pint of lager.

Tried this restaurant after many years to see if it was still the same quality as when in its heyday Gary bush all used to use it. Not sure if he still goes there now but first impression is that the front looks very tired and needs a bit of money spent on it to cheer it up. Must say the food was good and it was served in good time but the tables looked bare and there were no identification on the crockery like you. Would have excepted from this restaurant. Please make this place good again it needs a facelift.
