While staying locally we heard that this Farm Shop was well worth a visit so we opted to stock up on some essentials for the week. We left feeling a bit deflated as it was not what we are used to where we live.On our visit all of the bacon and sausage was pre-packed which we had but upon cooking felt it all lacked taste with the bacon high on water content. We then tried the butcher in town which put a smile back on our face along with more money in our pockets..

We stopped here during a cycle ride. The homemade cakes are fantastic, although it can take a while to get a hot drink when we all pile in.

Wanted a nice local tea shop and this one was suggested for early lunch. Very nice food and they were very happy to make gluten free version of whatever was on offer. I had bacon, brie, and cranberry toastie and it was lovely. Haf a mooch around the farm shop and bought some lovely frezh produce and home made sauzage rolls. There were some lovely looking cakes on display but sadly not a single one was gluten free or vegan. Very dissappointing.

Sorry forgot pics this time. Family group of six including one in wheelchair, table booked in advance as recommended by them so a place would be available for my wheelchair. Lots of tables, seeting, alcoves and a short window bar for snacking.

Having missed lunch at a very busy Newark Park, we found this delightful Farm shop less than 10 minutes drive away. The shop is very well appointed, with a super little cafe too. We sat in one of the little booths and enjoyed a very nice coffee, and shared a panini with salad and a piece of gluten free lemon and lime cake. Other cakes also looked delicious. A lucky find and a place we will certainly return to.

We loved it here on our last visit, lovely small cafe with very helpful staff. Was busy when we were there but staff told us there would be a wait for food and we were happy to wait with our coffee. Nice Selection of home made food in farm shop, we bought a fantastic quiche. Our children liked the chickens outside!

What a lovely treat after a long walk with the dog in the woods. Lovely cup of coffee and home made flapjack. Sat quietly with the dog at picnic table with fire pit alight nearby. Really autumnal.

I have been a customer for years and love the wide range of fruit and veg. But visiting today the prices were extortionate. Most of the standard loaves of bread were £2.99, as was a small tub of coleslaw and a very small individual buffet sized quiche. £1.30 for celery, £1.08 for 3 apples and £1.99 for a tiny bunch of purple sprouting. To cap it all the checkout girl was quite unfriendly - not wanting to respond to any conversation or queries, which I found very off putting.

Although most of staff very pleasant no getting away from fact that £2.75 for latte when you have to order at till and wait for it is overpriced. Not enough staff at busy times so can take quite a while. Recently paid £6 for cheese toastie and no salad included. Member of staff who brought it over virtually ran off so no opportunity to complain. Couldn’t be bothered to follow it up and much easier to not eat there again. Lost its previous charm

Sadly dogs are not allowed in side, so had to use out door seating which is next to a chicken coup- not really great for dogs who might be activated by this.

Quality home cooked food as takeaway meals. The quiches are particularly delicious. Breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea the menu isn’t huge but easy to find something interesting and well done.

This was our first visit since they completed their new extension, WOW what a difference. Gone is the marquee, instead there is a lovely oak portico at the front with vegetables, fruit and plants on display, and an outdoor seating area with cozy fire bowls on hand to lift any chills as you watch the chickens in their very large enclosure. Step into the farm shop and you now walk into a "tardis" as the shop seems so much bigger on the inside.

My parents in law love this place & are unable to drive so we (& local friends) take them here often when we come to visit from the US. We love it too & we enjoy the farm fresh meals & the wide variety of foods to take home. I like to see the silk chickens in the pen nearby. All coffee drinks are excellent here.

Had not been here for a couple of months, previously had a small cafe area in a side building. They have extensively rebuilt and what a change. Apart from the fresh vegetables they always had, the range of goods, especially food products is very appealing. But the star was the new cafe and food counter. We had a bacon roll which was almost half a baguette full of bacon,, and I had the soup, minestrone which was clearly home made, and delicious. Plenty of home cooked produce to eat and very pleasant staff and surrounding. Particularly like some of the seating in individual mock barns, each named after a famous gardener - great idea. Prices reasonable as well.

We found this farm shop on our way back towards Wotton under Edge following a lovely walk along the Cotswold Way by the Tyndale Monument. We bought lots of greetings cards as well as locally produced pork sausages and a delicious steak and ale pie. A good range of products overall and we will return.

Made an effort to visit here having passed it on my travels some time ago, I will not bother to visit again. The menu is very small, mainly pies, rolls, paninis etc, the range of cakes were all left uncovered and the shop had some flies. The ordering arrangement was to suit them and not the customer and we had to wait a lot time to be served, the cashier was busy talking to a local person who had just purchased. A lady serving from the cafe saw how long we had waited and came over to serve us.

The restaurant offers well-prepared British food at reasonable prices. Service is swift and friendly. There is a good wine list with plenty of choice at the cheaper end. Vegetarians and vegans are catered for as well as those after a good meat meal. The chefs clearly take a pride in presentation and desserts are better than average. This restaurant is worth the journey into the hills on the outskirts of Gloucester.

Very nice pub, we randomly stopped here because it was on our way to a ghost hunt in the area, and we are so glad we stopped here, the pub was nice and clean, the mother daughter team that run it was really friendly, and the food was outstanding, very well presented, great prices and yummy! We are going back in December and I’m very much looking forward to it.

The building and setting at Leaf and Ground is beautiful. I’ve been here before but never eaten in the cafe so wasn’t sure what to expect. We pre-booked a table as we were meeting a friend with their family, making our group 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids). They did charge £5 per person as a deposit but we were glad we could book a guarantee a space for our party. Service was a little slow at points, drinks took awhile to arrive and had to grab someone’s attention to order food. However the food didn’t take too long - it was also delicious and very good quality. I had the chicken parm which was tasty, and my husband had ham, egg and chips, both were very decent sized portions. I would agree with other comments about the kids fries being salty, they were fine to my taste but the kids weren’t especially keen (they don’t normally have salt on their food) - so it might be worth taking that on board for future. We then enjoyed a walk around the grounds after lunch (the kids loved romping around the woodland area). We then had a stop at the kiosk for ice cream/milkshakes, followed by a trip to the kids play area. A very pleasant way to spend a sunny October afternoon and we will be back :)

We arrived in Stroud mid afternoon on a Saturday. The kids were starving and every other place we tried to get into was in the process of shutting. Despite Stroud being packed, Milano appeared to be the only place open that was still doing lunch or any type of food for that matter ! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and everything that we had to eat was tasty and really good value too. My youngest especially liked the Spag Bol and the proper milk shake made with ice cream. Don`t be put off by some of the reviews on here, it`s a nice place and really friendly. Just don`t go in expecting a restaurant, the clue is in the word cafe !
