Had a really disappointing visit here today. My friend and I ordered two hot drinks and a toasted tea cake each. We sat outside and our drinks were brought out shortly afterwards. A few minutes later a young lad brought us our tea cakes with some butter each. He put them down and then said "the knives are inside, and jam too if you want it". Seriously? You bring out something that clearly needs a knife ... without a knife?! My friend went inside to get us a knife each but there weren't any! She asked at the counter and was told they'd bring us one out. We soon realised this wasn't going to happen, so used our teaspoons to spread our butter & jam!! As we were there for a couple of hours, we ordered a second drink each and asked what the cake was which was on the counter. The same lad who'd brought out our teacakes didn't know what the cake was and made no attempt to find out. I said it looked like apple cake, and his reply was "I think it's rhubarb or something" then shrugged. My friend said to him "sounds like you dont care to be honest" and he said "no, not really"! Sadly things didn't improve when he brought over our drinks and slopped most of them in the saucers. Such poor service today and a real let down. It's put us off returning but are hoping it was just a one off.

Eaten here loads and always been lovely. Went for bacon toasted sandwiches which the bacon was almost raw. ( i thought theyd given us ham) We asked for it to be crisped up more. 5 mins later it came back equally as raw just the toasted bread was just harder. It had gone in a microwave.

Updated review: I feel obligated to update my review now that the cafe has changed. The drinks are still great and the staff are still lovely. However, the food menu is gone now and the food serviced is either snacks or bought in and reheated/plated. And the overall vide has changed. It’s not really a place for a cozy coffee meet up or for families or for groups. Gone are the comfy chairs, the sofas, and the baby change. Now it’s high tables, metal seats that you can’t really sit in for very long, or sofas that don’t really work with the tables. Clearly they have made a shift with an aim for higher table turnover. I hope that works out for them as it’s a nice cafe but it’s not my vibe any more. I still pop in for a take out dirty chai when I’m passing but sadly it’s no longer a regular coffee stop for me. Original review: I’m not going to say that this is the best cafe/wine bar around because then everyone would come and I wouldn’t get a seat anymore. So I’m not going to say the best food (the loaded nachos are definitely not to die for), I’m not going to say that they make the best dirty chai anywhere in Stroud, I’m not going to compliment excellent staff for friendly and efficient service, and I’m not going to praise the fun decor and chill atmosphere. Definitely don’t come here; but if you do please make sure there’s always an empty table so I can get a seat!

Lovely setting by the wharf. A mid-afternoon visit for a couple of coffees. Friendly greeting, drinks delivered to table and nicely roasted coffee. Food choice looked good, as did the choice of drinks. I thought they could do with some local beers in there too.

We came here for a casual branch on a Saturday morning. The breakfast menu is fairly small, but the items on it make sense, what we had was nice. I had the toast, hot chocolate, a croissant and a smoothie. Sadly, the kitchen was out of some ingredients so the smoothie was compromised, but otherwise everything was nice and not expensive. The interior decor is relaxed, and on a sunny day it's nice to look out onto the water.

They try to create a relaxed atmosphere but the very loud and choice of music is more akin to a sleazy strip bar. It's totally out of character for the area. The food choice is minimal and very expensive. The place is best avoided on Fridays and Bank Holidays. There are far better places such as the cafe at Saul Junction where you can have a cheap quiet meal as you watch the boats go by.

Visited Kitsch for lunch yesterday with partner and baby. Disappointed by the very uninspiring and over expensive menu. Shared a mezze plate, £17 for cheap white baguette, tinned olives, horrible bitter bagged salad, tiny portion of tasteless hummus. We think they’d brought all the ingredients that morning from local supermarket own brand range. It was so sad and bad. Won’t return for food! Also why so many high tables with high stools? Lots of older people in there and families with kids, unable to find anywhere accessible to sit. No baby changing facilities. Staff were very friendly and decor is cool. Bet it’s a lot of fun in the evenings!

We visited on a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were nice and friendly but sadly the food was very poor value. Everything prepackaged and very low quality. A ‘mezze platter’ for £17 consisted of some horrible olives, a stale baguette, about half a slimy pepper with some feta and some cheap hummus. Pretty poor.

There wasn't anything overtly wrong with the meal, it just doesn't feel like very good value at all. A toastie with no salad (£8), a very small veggy bean meal (£10) and a couple of pints of lager at £6 quid each makes it an expensive lunch for what you get. I guess it's cost of living etc, but despite being nice decor and friendly staff I wouldn't rush back.

Was a tricky one, as a place for a coffee and cake it was Ok and we enjoyed the food and drink but the experience is more like a wine bar / bistro which I'm sure it excels at in both produce and atmosphere. So if going for a cafe stop like I was it feels a bit awkward, but if going for a more adult wine bar /bistro environment it would be great.

Delightful and charming cafe and tea room at the southern end of Frampton village green. The homemade cakes were delicious . Light lunch, lots to choose from All items are reasonably priced, well presented, good quality food and love the atmosphere and traditional ambience of this cafe. Also even more grateful as I left my handbag behind when we left,They kindly put it behind the counter, they remembered us and as soon as we walked back into the cafe they handed it to us without us even having to ask. Well the cafe has some marvellous cakes - the flapjack was absolutely delicious1 You can also take them away. Be aware that they close promptly by 4pm so dont leave ordering too late. There are some nice gifts in the shop - I bought incense for presents. If you want to see the monastery chapel be aware that it is nowhere near to the car park and cafe - if you like a walk that is fine, if your mobility is limited there is space to park up near the monastery itself. The walled garden looked rather sad!
