Delightful and charming cafe and tea room at the southern end of Frampton village green. The homemade cakes were delicious and a wide selection of all day breakfast items, omelettes, jackets, paninis, sandwiches, quiches, ploughmans, cream teas & cakes. All items are reasonably priced, well presented, good quality food and love the atmosphere and traditional ambience of this cafe. No issues whatsoever with the owners / staff on our visit, who we found friendly and helpful when ordering our food. We would recommend visiting especially for morning and lunch times.

Called in for lunch before heading off for our afternoon walk on the canal. The staff were lovely. The food was great. Wide variety to choose from on the menu. Delicious cakes and all very reasonable prices 😋. We will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

There were no opening hours displayed. We arrived at 3pm. Google states close at 4.30pm. We were met with unwelcoming looks and told they close at 3pm but we could have drinks and cake, which is all we wanted. I confirmed the opening hours and said I'd update Google with a suggested edit. That was immediately met with ' oh no, the boss won't like that' ! We got our cake but had to request our forgotten drinks. No apology when delivered. All in all, won't return nor recommend. Sorry.

The Feast breakfast is amazing.

If you want a ‘one foot in the grave’ or a ‘Cell block H’ experience then this is the place for you. Seriously lacking customer service, the 2 ladies that work there need to improve their hospitality and presentation, overall they are generally unwelcoming, you get the feeling you are inconveniencing them just by being in the shop. The blackboard is crowded with information and hard to read when people are sitting infront of it. We ordered baps with hot fillings but the rolls were cold, and we saw the scones came out of a deep freeze !! This could be a really lovely cafe with some simple changes… Put the menus on the table and make it more inviting (including the staff)

Great little cafe in a beautiful location at the far end of Frampton’s village green. Nice food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Sit outside on a nice day and watch the world go by.

Smells of over cooked food, shouldn't have ordered but we did and we were disappointed. Rude staff as well. Such a shame - it's set in a lovely village and could be a real gem.

I go in the Bistro often when I take my dog over Frampton Estate. There is one lady there who is adorable, very friendly and very welcoming. The other lady not so. This particular day, the nice lady was off sick. The grumpy lady said "I'm not serving food, I'm on my own. If you want a drink you have 15mins before I close up." It was approx 2:30pm. I only wanted a coffee anyway and I was very polite with her which I think prompted her to be more "relaxed" and polite when I left. I don't do grumpy and perhaps this lady should think that being happy and polite with her customers will make them return. Sadly, I don't think so. I would happily love a job in a little tea shop. 😊

Looked at on line menu to check suitability and booked a table. We were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. We were then told they couldn’t do coffee as machine had failed. Fair enough these things happen. Looked at the menu on the wall which we couldn’t see as there was people in front of it eating. Menu board needs to be higher of better put them on the table. We then found menu different to that on the internet and that the menu board was difficult to read. Food was ordered without fuss. All was good except soup was ordered with Rustic bread but what was presented was a microwave defrosted burger bap. The wife said it was ok but she was disappointed. Then there is the entrance door that was really noisy in closing. Then what I think was the water boiler which made enough noise to need ear protection. So overall a mixed bag. 1). Provide proper readable menus and correct website. Or at least raise the menu board. 2) Provide what people have ordered. 3). Fix the door 4) Sort the noisey water boiler out or replace with something quieter or relocate it. 5) Revarnish the tables Definitely more of a coffee stop than Bistro. Got potential as in a great spot but needs improvements. Parking is poor.

Couldn’t fault it! And have been back a couple of times since. Old style village cafe with a lovely atmosphere. Staff have good humour, are friendly and honest. There were a few dogs in at the time we went - so don’t know why one review said they didn’t like dogs going in!! and staff happy to accommodate as long as the dogs are not full of mud after their walks and don’t keep barking! Can’t say fairer than that can you - Food not bad either and fairly priced. Will go again definitely.

We don’t live too far away but come to Frampton once a year or so. We always stop at Ley Bistro for lunch, a cream tea, or at least a takeaway coffee. Everything is always fresh and handmade and the staff is always lovely and helpful. These are the kinds of independents we should champion.

We stepped inside the door with my small (clean) spaniel and asked if they were still a dog friendly cafe? The lady working snapped “only if it’s clean we don’t want to clear up after you” and said nothing else to us. As she was clean we sat at a table, the cafe was empty. The lady continued to glare at as we felt very unwelcome so we left. What a way to welcome customers you could really just say politely if you don’t want dogs in.

Bloody awesome several older ladies discussing and arguing about, who knows, with the staff but it was jolly and friendly, a more welcoming place you'd be hard push to find whatever you pay. Coffee was actually excellent as was the Bakewell tart. A lovely place in so many ways, thank you ladies.

I can find no fault. Very chilled atmosphere with most helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was simple and straightforward, but of excellent quality. Will certainly go there again.....and again

We ordered an americano and a flat white today but unfortunately both were awful. We compared the two and they were virtually the same drink, very watery and tasteless. I decided to take mine back as it was not a flat white. They offered to make a cappuccino instead but that looked equally as bad. I suspect the coffee machine is broken somehow as the milk doesn’t seem to froth. I had a refund, although no apology. Such a shame as in a great location.

Looks a nice place to stop for a coffee! The service was very poor, admittedly they were having coffee grinder issues, but no smile, no welcome, no sorry for the long wait in taking orders. As we requested decaf lattes, the problem with coffee grinder was not needed for our order. The decaf latte comes top of the list for one of the worsted we have ever had, could only just tell there was any coffee in it, watery and tasteless. 😝. Toilet could do will a deep clean, I was wearing walking shoes and my feet were still sliding on the greasy floor. Nothing for wiping hands.

Fab fry up ! Their Frampton Feast is consistently excellent…. you get the works… black pudding, bacon sausage all good quality… either beans or tinned tomatoes and toast with butter. All very well cooked and always well presented. The ladies running the show are lovely characters. Great biking / walking stop off in a lovely characterful village… what’s not to like !

Got here after 3pm. Greeted with " You don't want food do you as we stop food at three? We didn't just tea and cake. There was a Grandad and Grandsons on another table with a dog; the "Waitress" proceeded to check the freezer for scones, luckily(??) she had two which were obviously going to be microwaved; the young lad, aged about 6 went out with his dog to see if there was any water - he came back in and, to be fair, brusquely said " your water's dirty, it's full of flies" - which it was. The delightful "waitress", aged apprx early 60's responded abruptly, " i fill it in the morning, haven't got time to do it the rest of the day". The scones next arrived, steaming hot globules of cack......................the other family left and, after they'd gone, under her breath but loud enough that we heard, " Litle git, i don't come here to provide for dogs". Interesting statement seeing as the family had a dog, as did we and, i suspect, other cafe users - as far as i know the dogs never pay, always the owners...........pay for a service which keeps Mrs Misery in a job..................then a few moments later, to her colleague, another beauty, said, loud enough so we could still hear " that little boy, i wanted to poke his eye out with a knife" - just a tad over the top i think. Anyway, i went to pay, Mrs Misery nbr two was clearly put out as she'd shut the till down and now i wanted to pay, well, what an inconvienience - she didn't say please/thank you, nothing - we left. Needless to say we will NEVER give them our custom again. The cafe in Frampton, end of the Green, used to be the Bistro.

Nice coffee but the sausage baps were probably the worst we have had in a long time, cheap nasty sausages and rolls had been frozen then defrosted. Also agree with some of the other reviews a smile won't go amiss. The village is delightful so next time we will just have the coffee.

Called in today for a cup of tea, lady in the cafe was very unwelcoming, we were only looking at the menu to see what was on offer she said you will have to wait I've got other customers to serve before you, cafe did not appear to be overly busy, the lady appeared to be very stressed, she was rude and abrupt in her manner, we will not be returning, will find somewhere with better customer service.

Good choice of cakes but staff unpleasant and not welcoming even though a phone call ahead had asked if a group could come. Although in a nice setting I would not wish to go again or recommend. We were not in a hurry but were treated like an intrusion on a relaxed day out. Best recommendation is always customer service.

A super little café in Frampton-upon-Severn. Plenty of reasonably priced food on the menu and all cooked with a smile by Bernie. Caroline is the cheerful front of house who is born to meet and greet. What a great team they make* and what tasty food we ate! (plus a sausage for our dog). *These ladies are only there Tuesdays and Thursdays and we're very pleased we chose a Tuesday to visit

Great little find for a watering hole on a walk, unfortunately when we went in we felt like we were in the way, no smile or welcome.

This was overall a great experience. The food was excellent - well above average - and was prepared fresh and great value for money. The place was well kept and clean and tidy. The service was very efficient and performed perfectly, but the young lad serving seemed to lack any personality, and barely said a word. He was never rude, and served us most efficiently, as stated, but the servers are the frontline of any place, and he simply wasn’t the right person for that job. Hence only 4 out of 5. But I still recommend this establishment fir good food and drink.

Brilliant. My wife and I popped in for some lunch, my wife has some special dietary requirements, a lot of people cant cater for them. The staff went out of their way to provide a delicious meal for her. We will definitely be returning.

Really disappointing Based on all the positive TA reviews we were really looking forward to enjoying a great takeaway coffee to start the day. Having placed our order at the counter we stood and waited while the young guy serving us put the coffee shots into the cups. I noted at the time that they looked very weak and I should have stopped him there and then. However he then discovered that the coffee machine was broken so was unable to heat or froth any milk - a pretty essential ingredient as our order included a cappuccino and a flat white! He looked somewhat embarrassed and was a bit unsure what to do, so to try and help him out of his dilemma we suggested we could have them black instead. He then disappeared out the back and returned with a small jug of hot water and filled two cups and then returned with more water for the third one. At no point did anyone apologise for the inconvenience, nor make any offer to reduce the charges, but the worst thing was that my earlier suspicions were confirmed and the coffee was so weak as to be basically undrinkable. Obviously machines to break down and that’s no-ones fault but the lack of customer service and poor quality of coffee left a really bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Haven't eaten there recently, but when I've dropped by for a coffee it's always looked good. Coffee is great and the service always friendly. In a nice spot at the south end of the green.

Great value, great range of breakfast and lunchtime favourites and a really, really warm welcome

Great little Bistro/cafe and Dog Friendly inside too. We were staying at a campsite about 10 mins away and came here for lunch on Saturday. Portions are excellent and my husband actually struggled to eat his Fish Finger Doorstep Sandwiches! The portion of chips he ordered to accompany them was also generous too. I had the Tuna Mayo Jacket Potato which came with a good portion of salad (not just a bit of salad garnish that you usually get). The homemade cakes are also great too. The young lad serving on the Saturday lunchtime was working hard taking all the orders, bringing the food out, cleaning and clearing tables. I'm guessing he was still at school so well done as you were polite and efficient. We went back in just for a hot drink on the Sunday as we were meeting family at the pub for lunch. Although small I think I counted 6 tables inside, seating at least 4 people and there were 2 or 3 outside. We'd definitely go back here to eat/drink. Highly recommend this little cafe.

Not a wonderful experience today. We ordered some cake and two cream teas. When the coffee arrived it had grease floating on the top and was horrible. We returned to the counter and didn't receive an apology and had to ask for a refund, rather than being offered one. When the server took the scones out from a freezer, the door was covered by some sort of black mold, or something similar. The cake was nice enough, I wouldn't recommend.

A lovely friendly little cafe. Enjoyed a nice snack at lunchtime. The lady told us there would be a wait as they were busy but we didn't mind. However the food did come quicker than we thought. The lady at the till was very kind to the little 3 year old girl we had with us when we sent her up to.pay. She got down on her knees to help our little one.

Stopped here for breakfast recently. The place actually doesn't open till 9.30 despite what it says on the website and here on Google. The ladies that run the place were fantastic and real characters. Only cooked food available for breakfast, we had the Frampton feast which was excellent aside from the eggs which were totally overcooked. Coffee was fair.

My family and I (including our Rottie x Lab puppy) stopped in here for some brunch. It was lovely that it was dog-friendly. The food was lovely besides one frozen chip - we all tried something different from cream tea, paninis and breakfast - all great! We enjoyed our time here and will be returning in the future!

We called in for takeaway coffees when visiting the area and had to sample the Bakewell Tart, we weren’t disappointed! It was amazing! Pastry was light and buttery and the filling was delicious. Only downside is that we live as far away as we do!

This is our second Sunday lunch at Ley Bistro and and even without the Government’s eat out to help out carrot, this has to be incredible value for money. Very much like wonderful home cooking.

We had an all day breakfast which was nice but we waited a long time for it. Another customer after us was complaining about the long wait for a sandwich too. Hopefully it was just an off day, but have to say I wouldn't rush back, which is a shame.

Después de un paseo por Frampton, decidimos que apoyaríamos este negocio local, aunque no queríamos comer, en ese momento decidimos pedir cafés, un café con leche y un capuchino. Al recibir nuestro café, no pudimos decidir cuál era cuál, ya que ambos tenían el mismo estilo de tazas y ambos sabían exactamente igual, ¡tampoco particularmente agradable! Las mesas de afuera todavía tenían platos, tazas y cubiertos usados por personas anteriores y nos sorprendió que estos no se despejaran cuando se entregaban nuestras bebidas, ¡sino que simplemente se dejaban en el camino! El personal no llevaba máscaras, ni dentro del bistró, ni en la cocina ni en el exterior. Comprenda que los tiempos son difíciles con tener que implementar los requisitos de Covid 19, pero habría esperado más atención a los detalles. No volveré a apoyar, lamentablemente. Dejó un mal sabor de boca en más de una forma.

Pasó a las 2. 30 durante una caminata. Como nos apetecía un té con crema más tarde, aparecimos para preguntar cuándo cerraban, dada la ausencia de un cartel que nos lo dijera. Después de esperar a que la mujer saliera de la cocina, nos dijeron que eran las 4 de la tarde. Perfecto. Regresó a las 3. 25 - que le dijeran que la cocina cerraba a las 3 y que ni siquiera prepararían bebidas calientes después de eso. Al ver nuestras caras, la mujer señaló sin rodeos que no habíamos preguntado antes a qué hora cerraba la COCINA y que no podían trabajar en todo el día. Extraño.

Incluso si no estaba en oferta, regresaré, excelente lugar para tomar un café y almorzar.

Stopped here a few time now after a beautiful walk around frampton. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. Cakes are delicious, definitely homemade and reasonably priced. For a little place they have lots to offer throughout the week. Friends have been here for Sunday lunch and they said it was the best lunch they've had out for many years and a great price too not like these garden centres!! Every time we pass it's a must that we stop for a cuppa and cake. Would 100% recommend it.
