Wordsworth Coffee Shop in Derby

My Wife and I visited last year and had a very nice breakfast, I am sorry to say that this was not the case when we visited recently. Poorly cooked, greasy breakfast that looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Sorry to say we won't be rushing back!!!

My Wife and I visited for breakfast on a very busy Saturday morning and I must say we were very impressed. Nice food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Nipped in for a quick breaky and cup of tea. Breaky was quality and a big pot of tea to wash it down. Looks nice inside aswell. Staff are pleasant 👍🏼

Coffee needs some work, Seems to have gone for cheap coffee and made poorly. Real shame, Used to use fresh roasted coffee before but now appear to be picking it up from any old where.

Lovely little cafe. Modern & clean. We have a small full English & it was lovely, fresh & tasty. Staff we’re lovely too. Will be back.

Just popped in for a bacon cob and cup of tea. Plenty of well cooked bacon and big pot of tea, very reasonable price. Wil deffo go back.

Was walking past this place and thought i would try it. It looked dark from the other side of the road and there was a closed sign up so I politely asked a staff member who walked out if they were still open as I wasn’t sure if they were about to shut hence the closed sign and she bit my head off. Put me off going.

Best Sunday lunch takeaway; reasonable price. Haven't been for anything else, but highly recommend the lunch.

So me and my friends have been going to Wordsworth for some time however this was our first visit since Covid restrictions lifted. The customer service was extremely poor - almost felt like we were in the way! Asked about their cakes and when they would be ready but didn’t get a proper answer. Felt very deflated and sad after the visit as the atmosphere was horrible. Won’t be going again.

This is the second time I've had food when work has had a delivery and again I was disappointed. Ham salad cob.....the photo says it all... the cats have enjoyed it though so not a waste!

Visited today for lunch and had the most amazing chips! Everything was really tasty and well presented but the chips were THE standout item. If you haven't visited this place you really must....you will not be disappointed!

Love the cheesecakes here! We have become regulars over the past few months which is not great for the waistline however the cheesecakes are absolutely delicious! The portions are generous and well worth a visit.

Between this soft bun, consists everything That makes a breakfast great. From crispy bacon to thinly sliced mushrooms, this concoction came together beautifully to ensure my morning was a joyful one. Definitely recommended, with its low price and outstanding quaintly.

I have been here a few times for breakfast both times we had the English breakfast. Everything was cooked spot on, the fresh ground coffee we had was lovely and you can buy the coffee beans! The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. What a nice clean cafe in-fact a very clean cafe. Looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent Staff lovely food Basil Faulty Owner. Recently popped in at 14.15 for lunch. The owner got very angry that I dared asked for food so close to closing time. Ok I settled for a slice of cake very yummy and tea. Only to be asked would you like to take it away as I’m clearing up. Not sure what his problem was however his lovely staff is the only reason I didn’t give it one star. Personally foods nice location quaint however if it’s to survive a lesson in customer services is urgently required for the owner/manager.
