Woody's Bar and Restaurant in East Lindsey

Once again an honest opinion ..food came quickly and looked beaut .. burger meal was enjoyed by my son ..the kids meals where devoured by the little ones .. the gammon meal was OK gammon was a bit tough but rest was OK.. my fish was lovely and a good size the chips a little under cooked but where edible .. I would recommend if you out this way nice spacious place and there is a play area for kids ..sports TV and a pool table

1st time visitors, food was very tasty, a variety of food and no complaints, very clean restaurant

This would be a 5 star if it wasn’t for the useless staff in the play area. Apparently they’re there to watch the equipment which is durable and will last years without any supervision. they was on TikTok and our children was getting punched and pushed by other children while they sat there and did nothing, we understand that it’s not their responsibility to watch our kids but if reckless behaviour happens you would assume they could handle it slightly with saying to children calm down or telling them to leave ect I’d get them collecting glasses literally no need to have two dossers sat in there there’s enough say in pub as it is not watching the children.

£17 for two Bombay Sapphire gin single and tonic. Empty due to prices....

Absolutely amazing! We visited Woody’s bar and restaurant in Ingoldmells and were blown away! The food was amazing - full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes are huge so it’s definitely great value for money. The atmosphere was really welcoming and relaxed, and the service was fantastic - friendly staff and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I don’t normally go for a dessert, but I couldn’t resist trying the mini donuts with chocolate sauce… and I’m so glad I did! Warm, fluffy and the chocolate sauce was divine. Can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

Ridiculously priced £20 for a hotdog also ordered a pie for £15 which was clearly microwaved after complaining the manager admitted that food is microwaved because they are too busy ridiculous serving basically ready meals and advertising there selves as a restaurant

Nat bad, better than most places

Food is a bit more pricey than other local places but my god is it worth it! Absolutely delicious meaty burgers. Not a massive selection for smaller children is the only downfall but they had good fun in the soft play while we waited. Staff are friendly and efficient!

Fabulous ...so much so we went there 3 times out of our weeks holiday ....visit every year ...the vegan tikka masala is amazing ...please keep it on the menu for September 🙏

Mash potatoes had a horrible twang to them and we got talking to some other diners and they said same not happy THE GIRLS IN PLAY AREA ARE GETTING PAID FOR PLAYING WITH THERE RINGS ON THERE FINGERS RATHER THAN WATCHING THE KIDS THERE WAS A FEW INCIDENTS THAT HAPPENED WHERE THEY DID NOT INTERVENE WHEN YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE THERE WAS GOING TO BE DANGER AND THEY JUST SAT AND WATCHED SEEING KIDS DOING SILLY THINGS AND IN PROCESS MY CHILD GETTING HURT ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND ALSO LETTING TO TALL CHILDREN IN AREA AND SOME NOT IN WHICH CAUSES FRICTION BETWEEN OTHER PARENTS

Had a carvery at woods Ingoldmells on Sunday and today ,Steve carved the meat he was very helpful, respectful and professional on both day's as were all the other staff on sunday, we will be coming again

Great family pub/restaurant!! We were staying on the chase site and wandered down for a pint. Great selection, ended up staying for hours as the food was great and they have a softplay for the kids. All of us had a great time! Lovely, clean place with great food and drink and looked to have all sorts of entertainment on their schedule!!

Woody’s Bar and Restaurant is a fantastic spot! The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is always lively, and the entertainment is top quality. The new 2025 menu is full of tasty, high-quality options—especially the smash burgers, which are amazing. It’s the perfect place to relax, grab a drink, enjoy some great food, and soak up the good vibes. Highly recommended!!!

Best Carvery dinner I have had in long time, everything was hot and fresh, loads of choice the meat portion was generous and Stephen the guy who carved and served the meat was so polite, friendly and jovial, a lovely experience though out, would highly recommend

First time trying this place had a Sunday roast carvery lots of choice and really lovely food enjoyed it also great for familys with play areas for the kids definitely recommend coming here

Service had to give a 4 star because you had to order food separately from drinks. Had to go to another section of the bar to order drinks. The food was really nice. Good value for your money. The presentation is good. Very neat and tidy inside. Lighting is good.

OMG what an amazing Sunday dinner, the guys on the carvery are so nice and friendly and generous portions, all the staff were lovely, had football on which was a bonus and a play area available for children inside and a free play area outside, will be returning every visit to ingoldmells from now on, well done to all of you at Woody's for making us feel welcome

In the summer woody's is always packed. Great food, good atmosphere and great evening entertainment. Another spot if your lucky enough to catch her to hear the amazing sarah jameson sing.

Beautiful food, pricey but definitely can see why.

Have now been several times and is pretty consistently good each time. Special mention for the security guys who when there was a child on the play equipment trying to push younger children off the equipment ( literally off the edge to the floor) security were called and on it and dealt with it very well

Walked in with family and they were so rude to us told us they weren't gonna serve us and told us to leave pretty much we was shocked and will not be going there again

As Sunday dinners go in Skegness/ingoldmells, this isn't bad at all and it's a carvery so you can pile it high. Great portions, the meat is nice and the gravy is thick and tasty. The service at the bar was very slow as they only have one till that can take the (non carvery orders). Bonus is they have a little soft play for children under 1.2m and big screens to watch the sports!

A lot of people rave about woody,s but I didn't think it was that good. But first time there, I will return for a second time to see if it is as good as they think.

Me and 4 members of my family went to woodys on the Sunday just gone .. not very often I leave reviews ...but probably the best carvery I've had on the east coast .. and I've tried a few .. the thing for me was the whole package.. staff were brilliant .. polite and informative.. food was stunning choice is great .. and easily the best turkey and gammon I've had .. price is reasonable not stupid .. bear in mind the overheads a place like this runs with .. and tables were qui kly cleared and the toilets were spotless... 10 out of 10.. I will be back . Was recommended to us and it didn't dissapoint.

FAMILYS WITH DISABILITIES PLEASE AVOID With having special needs family we was not aloud to bring our needs with them not being able to supply us so not good customer services we'll have to find somewhere else to go as a family

First time here. Ordered 4 meals. 2 meals was cold. When returned back with fresh food the burgers was still pink in the middle. Would I recommend......no I wouldn't

Today was my first time visiting Woody's Bar & Restaurant, and I must say, I will certainly be returning in the near future. Upon entering, the ambiance was exceptional. The staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The carvery deck was meticulously presented, showcasing an array of meat options as well as vegetarian alternatives. The meat was of superior quality, and the vegetables, potatoes, and gravy were all delectable. The Apple Caramel Cobbler was presented beautifully and tasted exquisite, with a perfect balance of apple flavors and caramel sweetness. I highly recommend this dessert. In summary, Woody's Bar & Restaurant is a must-visit establishment that deserves a 5-star rating. I highly recommend it. Well done, Woody's.

The Carvery is Excellent. Lovely food. The Syrup pudding and Custard beautiful. Well done to the Chef and Staff. I will be recommending.

We went for Wednesday mid week carvery.By far best carvery I've had.Beats toby carvery hands down.shay our carver struggled with the sausages as not cut but that's his complaint he was polite knowledgeable and friendly. Cauliflower cheese and pie were to die for.keep up the good work Steve.

We came and I ordered a mixed grill and my partner ordered the new Yorker burger and then 2 kids fish finger meals, The New Yorker burger and kids meals were nice and hot and the speed of service was fast however the mixed grill… the steak was cooked how i ordered it but when I came to eat my chicken the chicken was raw, I shouted over the waiter who was cameron and explained to him that the chicken was raw, slimy and pink he was very helpful and understanding of the situation and took my food to the kitchen to let them know and also informed me that 3 other people have just sent chicken back for the same reason, when he arrived back he says (April the kitchen manager) says there’s nothing we can do as you’ve eaten your other meat to what I explained steak you can eat wether it’s a bit under/overcooked but chicken you cannot as you’ll get food poisoning and cameron agreed with me but the kitchen manager April says there’s nothing that can be done which is shocking to risk customers health and wellbeing and should not be in a position of responsibility so I got the attention of the bar manager( Howie) who also agreed that this should not be happening and was quick to try and help and defuse the situation and gave us some free dessert's for the kids and a round of drinks for the adults which was a nice gesture rather than the one greeted by the kitchen manager, overall 90% of the meals were fantastic but the general attitude of the kitchen manager spoiled the whole experience and wouldn’t not come out of the kitchen to explain the outrages statement that she made basically implying that you ate your steak and lamb so it doesn’t matter if you get salmonella, overall howie (the bar manager) and cameron (the waiter) are a credit to the company very helpful and understanding and don’t deserve to be picking up the pieces for where the rest of the company is not performing

Been coming to woody bar and restaurant in ingoldmells for nearly 5 years! no didn’t reliese you can only order drinks on wed and sun from the food bar with food no logic to this what’s so ever they then expect you to wait in another queue for your drinks apparently saves time but not on a Wednesday or Sunday logic baffles my brain pls management have a look at this policy you have put in place by you according to your staff. Staff very friendly and polite and willing to help but had to order from to separate points don’t make sense pls sort thanks in advance. The only thing this will cause is a not very happy customer 3 stars this time hopefully will be changed for next time matthew

Food worthy of 10 stars. I'm not sure whether the name derives from a restaurant that was near Fantasy Island about 45 years ago. We were impressed then and impressed now!

Had a carvery here with my wife and daughter the other day, very nice food, but does get extremely busy. They opened at 12 on the day we went, when we got there at 12:20pm, they were already queuing up half way round the restaurant waiting to be served their food, but once I sat down to eat I could see why it was so busy, the food is top notch. You can’t book a table, so check opening times, and get there at opening time or just before they open, to avoid long queues. Also went again before the end of our holiday, just for drinks this time, and our daughter was able to play in the soft play area while me and my wife watched her with our drinks, don’t know any other pubs that have an indoor soft play area, nice touch

We have been coming here for a while & never been disappointed until just now. 5 of us were eating so not cheap the potatoes in the meat pie were rock hard & there was eggshell in my egg. We called a waitress over to explain she said " I'm just a waitress" so we asked to speak to the manager. Another waitress came over & said the manager was to busy and would come over later. We asked to speak to some in charge a lady came & said "what did we want them to do about it, they could cook the meals again but was very busy so it would take about half an hour. We were very disappointed with the attitude and rudest of staff and asked for a refund they said they would do this but have to take the meal back. Tea was already spoilt and we handed our meals back, which were not up to standard. Spoilt our evening & will be a long time, if ever we return.

Tried to eat here today but was told at half past 6 that we had half hour to grab a carvery but only other food available was kids meals. Very disappointed as it was the middle of the week in high season.

Went here a couple of times over a week, whilst staying in Ingoldmells. Woodys is pleasant, food was lovely. I’d recommend and will be visiting again.

i would just like to say the service was very good today, there was 1 particular staff member that was fantastic with 1 of the members of the public i noticed she was sighing to them which i thought was so lovely, the staff member in particular had ginger hair very long young girl but overall the staff was amazing and i would definitely recommend this place.

The Carvery was delicious so was the mocktsils.

Can't score food as we didn't have any. But the drinks were OK. Really nice bar staff and atmosphere. Snooker table is £1, and you need to get cues from behind d the bar and put a deposit down to use. Lovely place and close to wear we were staying. Nice play area in the back too.

Ordered 3 adults and 1 child's meals and was charged for 4 adults but didn't realise until food came out and portion for child's meal appeared somewhat large. Overpaid by £4 which put dampers on us coming again.

I’d like to share this review as we come to chase caravan park every single year. We always come into woodys as we love the atmosphere and the place in general. The service is always second to none. The food is delicious and never had a bad meal. My only concern is the children’s indoor play area. I think of late it’s got bad, when we came this year the members of staff/ staffs 2 young females one with brown hair one with blonde hair, these members of staff just sat there for hours looking into space not watching the children when throwing things around near younger children, no communication and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. We always get a table near the window or the play area so we can watch our young toddler. I couldn’t believe how the 2 members of staff just sat there, didn’t challenge children walking up the slide didn’t challenge children throwing things around. I felt like it was me watching the children. Maybe this needs to change as eventually there will be a bad accident in there.

Went for mid week carvery food was not hot at serving station should be probed or hold at 63 degrees bit disappointed so dosnt get my vote.

We do like to go in woodys bar when our Grandchildren come down to our caravan they love to join in everything so do we like to go in for a drink or a meal the Carvery is a lovely meal Yvonne

Had wonderful carvery on Wednesday so tried menu Thursday. What a disappointment cold lasagna with cold floppy chips complete with bad bits. Sent back and meal returned to me 5 minutes later husbands meal came. been microwaved too long both burned at edges. Peas still cold. Chips revolting!!

I never moan, but the food was only just warm. We ordered 2 chicken burger meals, one of the plain. They both came out just in a bun. We asked about it and was told that is how it is served. Immensely dry to eat.

Very expensive price increase this season (2024) ! £15 for Lasagne. £11 for a baguette. £9 for a jacket spud! Our evening meal for 5 people was £85. Portion sizes have been reduced, prices increased . Carvery is the most expensive in the area without justification. Lovely venue, clean , kid friendly, but I fear Blue Anchor have become way too greedy this season .

Really disapointed as was looking forward to trying this new restaurant. First of all it was very busy so had to wait ad keep look out for a table, then eventually when we did we had to find someone to clear the table of plates and then my mum went and found a cloth and spray to clean it as the staff were running round like headless chickens serving food, and only one memberof staff was taking food orders. On ordering we were told two of our meals would be without onion rings as they had sold out but they werent willing to provide anything else such as a slice of garlic bread or chips, infact there exact words were I dont know what you are complaining for, its only a couple of onion rings! Not really good customer service, especially when food you order is over £70!! We were old 40min wait on food but it was actually 1hour before it arrived, and when food did arrive sausages were missing off the mixed grill and then reallised coleslaw was missing off the brisket beef. The food was actually ok, just a shame about the lack of staff and customer service.

Tuck the little kids for food and so could play food was OK service 5* but the play area was disgusting 30+ kids most of them two big to be in there bouncing all over was not letting my little ones go in there told management just said the a staff member in there when they was 100% not go in there 3 times a year but not no more my kids was screaming as I wood not let them play

Don't serve normal menu while carvery is on. Not great for people with eating issues, especially since this fact isn't advertised anywhere on the menu.

Was having a fantastic night bar staff was brilliant so was entertainment how ever was ruined by there security trying to course trouble

Decided to go for a meal here on Thursday after looking at reviews on Google. It's a nice modern venue with some old pictures of the local area dotted around with nice decor & very clean .We had popped in earlier to check what time food was served till & came back after an hour in the local arcades. As was the case when we checked in earlier we were greeted in a cheerful & professional manner by the staff who were very welcoming.There seems a decent choice on the menu & we decided on the burger which was described as a steak burger this came with a choice of chips or jacket potato & came with salad onion rings & coleslaw. We choose chips & were all surprised with the portion sizes & quality of the food. The burger lived up to the description & tasted like a quality burger with a nice meaty taste & light seasoning which came in a nice soft brioche bun. The chips were lovely, crunchy on the outside & fluffy on the inside & the onion rings were a good size with a nice crispy batter. It came with a nice fresh salad & a little pot of coleslaw which was just the right size to accompany the meal. Being low season it wasn't packed that said there were still a few people in but this meant we didn't have to wait to long for our food. Three meals & a round of drinks for the three of us just under £45 can't fault it & will definitely come in again next time we're down this way.

Lovely and clean, the Sunday carvery was absolutely delicious! After reading reviews, we decided to give it a go. Will definitely return when we are in the area again. The beef was cooked perfectly. Huge portions too.

Was a brilliant night till 1 of the security guards came over and was rather aggressive and intimidating accusing us off vaping in side the property even though they had seen us go out side all night he was very aggressive in how he spoke to my self in my opinion and the people that seen and heard it seemed like he was just looking for a reason to try and start trouble

Always nice food here ...the atmosphere isn't too bad for a meal with family and friends but for a night out its not set out too well
