The Ranch Steakhouse & Grill in East Lindsey

Been to the ranch numerous times and one of my favourite restaurants but last night was unfortunately the worst meal I have ever had there .The t bone steak was just full of fat the chips were lukewarm the chicken wings were OK and the macaroni cheese was OK but for £85 it was the worst meal I have ever had there .Please up your game guys or we will not be returning!

Back for another visit this time with a group of friends. Staff as usual were polite and attentive. The food was awesome, we had a mixed grills, burgers, steaks. Ribs and sides including burnt ends. It was all so so good. Highly recommend this place for a great atmosphere and better food

So disappointed- had high hopes for this restaurant as it was quite hard to book a table. Not sure the staff wanted to be there on a Sunday afternoon as they just didn’t seem to want to serve you or talk to you. Had to ask to be served a drink. Hardly any atmosphere in such a nicely designed restaurant - could be overcome with staff that really go that extra mile and deliver a fun, informative service - but it was all a bit underwhelming. Food was hot and T-bone steak cooked as requested. Ribs fell off the bone which meant that they were overcooked and ended up as a pile of mush on my plate, not to mention that they had not been trimmed properly with a great deal of fat remaining on the top. The chicken wings were also overcooked and again literally fell off the bone, the sauces were tasty though. Chips and slaw were edible. All in all a very disappointing dinner and won’t be back.

Have been here a couple of times, good fairly price food, really good portion sizes. A real fan of the nachos here, very tasty. Quick and friendly service. However, book well in advance!

!st time visit Sunday 31st March 2024. We were staying in the area for easter weekend and i booked here for 10 of us being 6adults and 4 children. we were all on 1 table. I think its the best menu i have ever seen with many offers and choices. We all enjoyed our meal , it was well presented, was hot and we all commented how nice the food was. if we lived local we would dine here a lot. The staff were very customer focussed. Price wise was good. we loved the setting and fixtures. car parking 5minutes walk away. Well done to you all

Wow!! What can I say! But amazing!! We had 9 of us dining and all of us had the most wonderful food! The steaks are delicious and best I’ve tasted anywhere in a long time! Cocktails are delicious. Deserts are just so incredible. The staff were very attentive and good came out at a quick pace! If I could give more than five stars I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited on a Saturday night with friends for the first time. Great service from all the staff. The venue is good. Nice and open without the tables being packed together. The food was awesome. Really good tasting food. We had a mix of mains and some milkshake desserts. All in all a really great place to go

Had an enjoyable evening for grandsons 18th birthday. Unfortunately was disappointed when we were told they had no steak left on a SUNDAY STEAK NIGHT. The alternatives were OK but not what we were going to order

I cannot give the ranch enough credit for being such a great place to eat. I’ve been with big family parties, large work parties, small family parties and the food & service are always excellent. I can’t say much else except every time I leave I’m happy and so is everyone else. Never had an issue with anything. Special credit for my last meal, the Nashville crunch chicken burger. 10/10. Absolute delight. You guys are absolutely crushing it.

I met up with my sister in law & niece for a get together & the Ranch is a favourite as you get a good steak & I’ve never been disappointed. I like mine medium/ rare & it’s always cooked to perfection. I very rarely have the potato option so they double up my salad & I don’t have lettuce, & the sauce bacon & stilton is heaven in a jug 😊 There’s definitely plenty on the menu to choose from & you really won’t be disappointed.

This was our first visit to The Ranch and it was absolutely lovely. We received a warm welcome on arrival, before being shown to our table. Katy our server was very helpful when we explained we hadn’t been before. We decided to order the Steak meal deal with starters and a bottle of wine. The atmosphere, food and service were fantastic ! We will definitely be returning very soon. Many thanks for a very lovely experience.

Such a lovely place to eat with great food and great staff. Staff are so efficient and welcoming. Food is always 10/10. We go regularly and have only ever had top quality.

We came here based on the reviews the Ranch got and honestly I couldn’t fault anything!! The food that came out was piping hot which and absolutely a big tick for me the steak was cooked to perfection. Well done all concerned at the Ranch what a great place to eat!! See you soon.

Great food and drink Staff lovely

Not sure if I’ve ever written a review for The Ranch before but every single time we’ve been it’s simply been epic. Catering for 19+ people is a mammoth task in itself but to bring everyone’s food out at the same time and for it to be that nice is outstanding. I haven’t included pictures as the food needed to be consumed not faffed about with as it looked incredible. Special mention on the Cluck a Duck burger, the hoisin duck topping the fried chicken mixing with the pickled cucumber was stunning! See you again soon 😃

Visited The Ranch Last Friday(02/02/24) First Impression Very Clean, The Venue Itself Is Very Nice And Big Excellent For Birthday Or Family/Friends Get Together, My Meal For This visit Was The Mixed Grill.. Simply Delicious 😋 Two Others Went For BBQ Spare Ribs And Another Mixed Grill...All in All Spot On.. Food Good.. Service Excellent.. Prices Very Reasonable An Easy 5/5 👍🏻.

Try to have something different everytime we go not been dissatisfied yet ,favourite place by a mile

Had a meal there for a birthday, everything tasted fantastic, good portion size.

Never had a bad meal here. Always 11/10! Loaded Fries, Fillet Steak and the beef dripping to die for.

Sorry for this review but i need to rant over what was a unpleasant time . We have been here 3 times in the last 3 months , booked @ the start of the month and had a 4.45pm table . Got to the restaurant and was shown to our table , was not happy as it was right in the middle of the main walkway just down from the bar with people and staff constantly walking around us from both sides I asked to be moved but they said they had no other tables ?? as far as I could see the main restaurant area near the the toilets was empty and was so when we left . £180 for a meal that i felt very uncomfortable eating as I felt like a child who's desk was put in the school corridor for all to see and laugh at . I strongly feel your staff could and should have moved us as requested as I was clearly upset with this table . I feel I will not now go back as if you are packing people in on tables in the middle of walk ways you are putting profits over people's enjoyment. Kind Regards Peter

Our first time coming, service was great, all staff were super friendly, smiley and approachable. We were served drinks quickly and our food also came out quick. The food is so, so tasty. Everything was such good quality. Overall really happy with the price for two starters, big mains and also extra sides and two drinks each it was less than I expected. I would say the starters didn't seem very big portions for the price, but maybe that's just because we enjoyed them so much, we wanted more! We couldn't even pick a favourite part, everything just tasted great. We absolutely will be coming back!

Wife and I drove over to Louth on the recommendation of a work colleague - I’m very glad we did. We were warmly greeted and seated for our 4.30pm booking. Our drinks orders were taken quickly and arrived a minute later. Ok, it wasn’t too busy then but half an hour later it was already filling up. We had a burger, a Rib and Steak combo, with sides of onion rings and a sensational Mac n Cheese topped with Hunters chicken. It was all very well cooked - the ribs literally fell off the bone. Sometimes with American style food in the UK, it’s a bit of a letdown. This was delicious. To be constructive, we both thought the onion rings could maybe have done with the batter being seasoned, and there was a lot of loud music, which in itself isn’t a big deal, but it kept stopping/starting going loud then quiet which was distracting. Small points. Overall though, food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere etc were excellent. We’ll definitely be going back.

Food not as good as previous visits and service was very slow, also was very cold inside had to leave coats on! Very expensive for mediocre food/service won't be traveling 40 mins again.. honest review

All right, I suppose. food was nice. Atmosphere was ok being that we were sat out back in a decorated steel extension. Had to ask for clean cutlery as the set provided still had food on it. Replacements were very tarnished, and so were most of the other cutlery on our table. We were there for our staff Christmas Do, so don't feel so bad as we weren't paying.

Fantastic restaurant, great ambiance. Attended with family for Saturday evening meal, staff were fantastic. Food exceeded expectations, so did portion sizes! Well priced menu, left with two boxes of leftovers which got finished the following day

Went for a pre Xmas meal, had combi starter, beef full rib for main and brownie for pudding, arrived and after a short wait was seated and quickly sorted, servers are polite and efficient, would recommend as a place to visit. Not cheap but food is excellently cooked and presented, both visits here have been excellent, well come against n in new year

Looks pricy to start with but the food is lovely and well thought out. A wonderful mix of flavours and good portion sizes. Definitely get what you pay for and more. A very enjoyable treat. The staff are helpful the service is at a sensible speed, the decor is nice and the food is tasty. Will definitely go back.

Went there for a birthday meal, had the 32oz T-bone steak with chilli fries, quite possibly the best meal I have ever had Absolutely outstanding 👏 👌

Was treated to this venue and, as an ex-chef all I can say was the food was phenomenal, the staff were fantastic and attentive to all our needs, not once we're we made to feel like we had to rush so they could get more people in. The steaks were to die for, never have I had a steak that just melted in my mouth and cooked to perfection the flavour was sublime, it just oozed class and quality and the side dishes didn't feel like they were playing second best they enhanced and balanced the meal. I shall be returning again to savour the best steaks in Lincolnshire with out a doubt well done 10/10

First time here and definitely not the last , we were a party of 8 that came over from Hull ,we all said it was fantastic 👏

We booked in for dinner for a busy Saturday night. The atmosphere was pleasant with lots of themed items scattered around, staff were very friendly and helpful. We were pleased that there was a decent amount to of veggie options on the menu, however while the veggie mac and cheese was very nice, the veg mex burger sounded very exciting but was disappointing; it felt like some of the toppings were hardly there and the veggie pattie itself was very 90s - it was one of those frozen mixed veg burgers that are completely flavourless. I appreciate they offer a „fake meat” burger too for a few quid more which perhaps was nicer but I think the „basic” veg burger needs a serious improvement. We also had a milkshake - this was probably the highlight of the meal! Overall it’s a great place but some veggie options should be improved.

First time visited the ranch for my partners birthday you could not fault the food garlic chilli prawns very yummy and my fillet steak melted in your mouth my partner had a t bone which was the same ...however we had a prosseco deal which the prosseco came up from the cellar which wasn't chilled so its like giving somebody a bottle of champagne that's room temperature prosseco needs to be chilled to be enjoyed so maybe have you prosseco in a fridge before you serve it to the customers ....also it was quite cold in the restaurant but apart from that service was good and food brilliant will certainly be visiting the ranch again deffinately worth a visit ....

Brilliant atmosphere, very casual. Staff where running around like headless chickens because it was busy. Food was absolutely awful. It was not fresh at all as expected. The chicken burger was dry and reheated. The cheese bites where not cooked properly, the cheese hadn't melted in the middle and was in clumps. The steak was extremely chewy and fat. Far too overpriced for this. Very unimpressed.

What a treat this was. We came here as was disappointed with hotels offering. So glad we did. This made our stay in Louth. Service was great, brilliant atmosphere and vibe. Food was delicious. Genuinely the best ribs I’ve ever had! Great value for money....

Amazing food fantastic service absolutely stuffed to the brim when there for my lads 14th birthday, between us we have a selection of pretty much everything didn't find a single thing we didn't like and it all came out piping hot and freshly prepared

Food was absolutely delicious! We had starters to share and the backyard, BBQ platter to share. All the meat was tender and high quality!! Only downside was the burger bun was quite dry, but everything else was perfect!!

I've been waiting to try this place for some time as you MUST book in advance, and I was not disappointed! Service was second to none, the staff genuinely care about your experience, this is backed up by amazing food, the steak in particular is one of the best I have had in years, the milkshakes were huge, and the desserts really hit the spot! I have to say this is the best restaurant I have been to in Lincs so far, and I would highly recommend 👍🏻

Food, service and the atmosphere were all good. Right from the initial welcome and getting a drink, we all enjoyed a good night. Food was served fairly quickly and was great. We will definitely be back.

Have eaten at The Ranch many times and can never fault it. The food is always fantastic and you never leave hungry. Always great service and the food arrives so quick, you’re never waiting long. Prices have increased over the years but that’s to be expected, worth every penny!

We celebrated my birthday and so looking forward to going. To be truthful, I was tad disappointed with the whole experience and not too sure if I’d be in a hurry to return. The menu was great, but the noise in the main restaurant hurt...

Went mid week the place was busy but the best night I have had in a long time. Booking is advised as are the dessert choices.

Great food. Been at least six times. Every visit met my expectations. Steak is always cooked how I ask for it.

Our first and last visit here. It was meant to be a special celebratory meal. It was very dark and claustrophobic inside which made it difficult to read the menu. There was background music playing but instead of hearing the artists voice they were overwhelmed...

Really nice food and expansive menu. Had a lacking but still nice vegan and vegetarian selection. The steak itself was quality and cooked how I wanted it, no issue there. The Philly Cheesesteak was delicious too. Staff were lovely but I do question why they sat us next to a large family table with actively crying babies, opposed to the many other seats in the restaurant that were free. But then later on, those seats filled up with seemingly higher class people. We chose not to complain as we didn't realise until it was too late. The dessert, the ranch waffle, was really light which was perfect for the end of a decent sized meal. The Blood Orange Cosmo was fantastic and couldn't recommend it enough, as they do 2 for £12 on a Thursday.

Very nice place, with great food and lovely staff. Unfortunately my steak wasn't quite the quality I was expecting but everything else was amazing and everyone else enjoyed their steaks. Honestly believe I just got unlucky (it happens). I will most definitely be returning - highly recommend

One of the best steak houses I've been to, and worth the journey. Great food, reasonably priced, good sized portions, and good atmosphere. Though no parking on site, there are plenty of places to park, in short walk car parks. Will definitely go again

Didn't book a table. But the lovely staff got us in. Which was really appreciated as we was only there for a few days sat at the bar with cocktails. And was definitely worth the wait food was fantastic. Staff and atmosphere was outstanding.

Not bad, not as good as when it was in other building. Staff not as attentive and got order wrong. Staff too busy giggling between themselves and clearly too young to be left to own devices. Food was very good. Went back again on another night to try a walk in, 2 adults and one child, at 5.30pm. Place was empty apart from 2 tables. Told their was no space as fully booked, no alternative was given or look in booking book to try to accomodate, just got put on laughter and told to come back later when more people where there. Clearly didn't want the work, not him paying the Bill's, very short on customer service.

Fantastic food and huge portions

Visited with my husband and son. The steak was cooked exactly to me liking (rare). Service was excellent, however, I did think it lacked some atmosphere. I will definitely return though.

Fantastic place. The food was terrific, definitely, the place to go! Staff are constantly smiling and super friendly. Worth every penny! Update 29/08/23 Still amazing, fantastic quality meat for what you pay. Did notice that the back BBQ looks smaller. Might just be me though! Brilliant atmosphere, still worth every penny!

Took my partner and our family for his 30th birthday. He received a free dessert which he was thrilled about. The food was delicious, the kids menu was great and had something for everyone. The desserts are massive which is great. Overall had s fantastic time.

Everything but the food was good. The ribs were tasteless. What a shame.

There is nowhere to recommend steaks, which were all amazing as was all the food esp the sides like Mac n cheese and chicken strip loaded fries. The food really was exceptional and we all had something different. Good value for money with drinks. Will definitely visit again soon as the best steak restaurant we have been to for many years. Only area suggested for development is that the he staff were really attentive until finished our main courses and waited an age for our dessert order to be taken and in the end had to approach staff. Also there is a statement that says if you are overcharged and have left the restaurant then it cannot be rectified. However we realized after that we had been undercharged by 2 x steaks (almost £60) so went back and paid what had been missed off the bill. My kids had treated us for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and they were underwhelmed at staff's reaction at their honesty, esp in light of statement if you are overcharged! However such a geat experience and food it hasn't put us off going back We will just scrutinize the bill, which you pay at the till. 👍

Just visiting Louth for a week from Louth Ireland. The Ranch adds a bit of USA dining to the town. My wife who is from the US loved it.

Perfect service, and the place looks great. BUT the food ( i had Rib and brisket ) was tasteless. What a shame. The sweets were nice but the drinks were very overpriced.

We hadn't booked so decided to chance getting a table. They squeezed us in and seated us immediately. Quick to take our drinks orders and gave us time with the menus. Allergens are checked when they seat you and the appropriate menu bought over. Plenty of staff and we were never left waiting to get someone's attention. We had starters, mains and treated ourself to a pudding. The puddings are decent size servings and beautifully presented. All the staff were lovely, lovely atmosphere and the tables were nicely spaced out. Would go again

You HAVE to book. This is a two header because you should book to avoid disappointment and you HAVE to eat here. The venue is very well decorated, the music is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food range is great (even if a vegetarian) and very well cooked. It comes out quickly which means they have some good cooks behind the scenes. Kids meals are good too. Plenty of options for drinks, a strawberry daiquiri slushy is gorgeous! So pleased that we ate here, such a shame we are only near louth for the weekend before we head back south to the big smoke. If you are here on a visit, please try and get to this beautiful place, it's WELL worth it 👍

Fantastic food to much if you have a starter

First visit, met our expectations. Good sized portions but would have liked more veg with the steak. And as I’m really going off meat, some more fish dishes to choose from would have been nice. However the starters were gorgeous and the staff very friendly...

Went last night for my dad's 70th, had a lovely evening. Waiting staff were very helpful. Food came out in good time, especially for my sister who had to time an insulin shot. We also had a cake which they took away on arrival and brought out with the candles lit when we asked for it. We were tucked in a corner which was nice as it meant we could keep my niece contained in a small area. Food was beautiful 😍 we all enjoyed very much. Would definitely recommend and we'd definitely be coming back at some point in the future.

Had our granddaughters birthday here and my first time in going pleasantly surprised at the size of the place looks a small frontage but expands in to a big venue ..the food was outstanding and I’m not one for a salad but the guys or gals in the kitchen knocked it out the park very good indeed..Definitely worth a visit highly recommended

Myself and my wife travel to this restaurant after reading good things about it online. We were welcomed at the door and quickly seated at our table . The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant was great and fit the theme of the establishment perfectly....
