Went here while on holiday, and I have to say, after waiting over an hour for the food, it came out, and the pie had hardly any filling, and the chips were cold. We did complain, but we were made to feel like we were in the wrong would not go back.

Food was lovely, didn't have too wait long, every time I've been it was busier, but it's not the same without dj mutley

After lots of people raving on about buddy’s bar a group of 8 of us went on Sunday 29th September 2024 we had a selection of food non of it was cooked well asking for a medium rare steak got it well done 🤢 ordered a spaghetti Bol well unless you like pasta over cooked and bolognaise sauce tasteless don’t bother. please do the world a favour and stop serving food and teach your bar staff how to pour drinks in a clean glass will never come here again I do not recommend

Had chicken masala just slice chicken not chunks, didn't enjoy at all, My daughter ordered hunters chicken It came in a dish slice chicken at bottom bacon and chesse on top, I told the chef he couldn't under stand hunters chicken should be a piece of breast bacon on top, sauce then grilled, But got a refund back.

Buddies is a great family bar, and all ages are welcome. Live music every day along with a large Food Menu. I will not comment on the food as I have never eaten any. Good prices for the drinks with an extended HAPPY HOURS. Quality service at all times. It is worth a visit. A lift is available for the less mobile. Still consistently A TOP VENUE. SORRY I FAT BOY DO NOT EAT SNAP.

Good food, we had a large selection from 6 kids meals and 6 adult meals and on the whole very satisfied. But and a big but… the music whilst eating is way too loud whilst you’re trying to enjoy your food. If it was near 9pm then I could totally understand the loud music but at family meal time it’s a bit much. All together a decent place and lovely staff.

Love this place. But they have a new dj who has no interaction with the crowd. Just sits on his phone most of the time. Shame as this place could be the best in town. We miss you mutley

The food was good except the chips were dry but it wasn't too bad. The music was really loud, you can barely hear yourself thinking let alone the people next to you. The waiter/cook that brought over our food was nice and polite but the one waiter was rude and had a face on her the whole time we were there. She tried to give our table away to someone else even though we were there. She had no manners at all. The second we finished our drink she took it away rudely still with a face on her. She didn't even pretend to enjoy her job, made it awkward and made us feel like she didn't want us there. Probably won't eat here again.

Food fantastic but the service and politeness from the lady that brings the food out is outstanding and deserves more than a 5.

Food missing from plate after receiving order, after questioning why was told abruptly by kitchen staff we’ve run out and we’re closing kitchen now then walked away from! Burger was cremated to the point it was inedible and the chicken in the hunters chicken was actually sliced meat that was dry as! Then had a waitress lean across us while eating to take the table number. Ended up leaving half the food and going after 1 hour spent there.

Great for a meal or a night out , friendly approachable staff with a great atmosphere

What a lovely place, great atmosphere, One of my children is autistic and can can sometimes be challenging, but one of the doorstaff I think his name was lee came over, he explained how his granddaughter is autistic too, I instantly felt more relaxed, he even came back to check on us after some trouble kicked off. Will definitely be going again

Dogs on seats is so disgusting , the owners need too realise dogs cannot wipe their arse and people do not want hairs etc on there clothes especially in an eating place! They may feel this acceptable behaviour at home but need educating badly!

Been quite a few times. Atmosphere is always good, it's not overpriced like other places nearby. Food is great too.

Was there on Easter weekend had a carvery it took over 1 hour in a queue where there was 5 people in front of me the meat was over cooked and the vegetables well what can I say terrible some of us had food of the menu took just under 2 hours to come over all very ve poor will not be returning for again

Easter Sunday. Over 90 minutes wait for hunters chicken that was dry. Carvary vegetables overcooked. Meat overcooked and dry. Overall very poor.will not return for food

Had Sunday dinner here was good size. Needed more gravy Clean toilets . More staff or self service required. Dinner got a little cold while waiting to be served

A nice large open venue with singers on the weekend aswell as Cash Bingo (which is a bit of harmless fun for all) A good array of alcohol, a lovely decking area outside with great views over Fantasy Island and Ingoldmells Market, on a sunny day, its delightful. Large screens for sports, they serve food and sweets for any visiting children. Would recommend and visit again as had a nice time here

Great pub. But please cut down on Motown music. Not everyone is 65. Other than that great bar. Brilliant for sport. And drinks.

We went to Buddies to celebrate a 40th birthday there were eight of us, we all had a very enjoyable meal very well presented not too long waiting time even though the bar was busy, there was also an act on, will eat there again.

Fantastic food really good quality the curry looked fantastic. The service let it down waited nearly an hour for food.

Advertise as dog friendly. Then refuse dogs. Have a hatch to serve outside then say no service at this hatch. Could be a great place but looks like it's run by amateurs.

Love this place been coming for years and staff have always Been pleasent however some guy turns up looking in command who maybe a partner to the beautiful blonde who owns or manages it. . Well a word to the wise he needs to treat staff and customers with a tad more respect and not come across like he's better than everyone else just saying big head fancy himself or what

Nice pub, but unfortunately the worst food I've had in a very long time ! Told the waiter about this, to be told he doesn't deal with stuff like that. Waste of money!

Sat in the place right now at 20 past 3 in the afternoon not busy in a may weekday couples and family’s enjoying their drinks music on reasonable little arcade for the kids. Food tastes good just not much of it for the money you pay needed bit more food on the plate and I’d have felt the valve for money would have been great but no. It’s good stop for a afternoon meal at night check the other reviews

Went in for Sunday Dinner as ALWAYS it's all changed now one price for meal £10.95 for dinner new size plates not enough no roasters not much choice on veg staff not wearing gloves or hair nets lovely polish nails was matter befor with small medium or large sizes

We used this club as it was a family bar and right on our doorstep to the promenade holiday park in which we were staying. We quite liked it until it kicked off one night! Glasses were thrown and landed, smashing right on our table, just skimmed my 13 year old daughters face and cut her hand. Staff were useless. Never knew how to handle the first aid situation, I was handed the first aid box and left to my own devices. Not once did any of the bar staff come to check if she was OK! Security guard was OK, asked after her and spoke us through the steps of what will happen. Don't expect fully grown adults to be throwing glasses around in a family bar which was full of children! Shame, but other than that it was alright. Cheap drinks, live entertainment and mini arcade for the kids.

We paid a visit for lunch on our day out. Customer service was ok. The food took over a HR to come and then I had to chase it up to get our order wrong. The food was horrid food cold and very unhappy children and one waitress called me a liar and said I was wrong . Never mind customer is always right. Will not be visiting again

We came for Sunday dinner the place was busy and loud music was playing the dinner was awful,the turkey was not carved just a big chunk of meat,pork was all fat, Brussels soggy carrots like rubber roast potatoes were very dry best thing on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding.

Went for dinner wirh the family really bad service my food came out slap cold and then after still waiting for cutlery really bad service all the staff on their phones hanging around like they weren't interested pathetic never again SHOCKING !

Came here for a family meal while dropping some family members off. We decided to go for food and noticed they stopped serving at 8 so wasn’t really expecting anything special or for them to have everything on the menu, especially with us being a party of 7 - but they had everything which really shocked us, and the food came out looking lovely and was amazing. Only thing that let it down was the fact the chicken breast on my hunters chicken had been deep fried so was dry and chewy but apart from that was really lovely and came out really quickly also. My grandad had the steak and ale pie and that looked lush. Bit confusing how you have to order drinks and food separately but not a big deal. Cheap too.

Beautiful food. Had a burger and fries and was packed with flavour and very well presented. Plenty of drinks options. Great location. Certainly my "go to" for Ingoldmells. Buddies is where its at.

Absolutely shocking food, asked for turkey and only got the skin, gravy taste worse then skeggy sea water itself. Also was like pi**.. two tiny pathetic scoops of mash. Wouldn’t even feed this my dog. Carrots where harder then the rock they sell on the markets and the Yorkies weren’t even cooked properly may aswell of just left it as dough. Staff are ridiculously rude especially on the carvery selection. One looked like she was on whizz and the other I have no words. Wouldn’t recommend, definitely need to get themselves on kitchen nightmares, don’t even think Gordon Ramsay could sort this place out.

Use this place regularly throughout the summer and it is cracking .the food is delicious and reasonably priced , I just wish they would sell guinness

I visited Easter weekend 2022. Bar service was efficient and drinks priced reasonable. I noted there was staff constantly going round collecting glasses and cleaning up. I also witnessed unreasonable behaviour by a group of people that were spoken to and soon dealt with by staff. A credit to you all. Keep it up.

This place is head & shoulders above anywhere else In central Ingoldmells. The staff are ALL friendly & very efficient. Never have to wait long to be served, even when it's packed out. The food is highly recommended,quality, service & presentation is a definate 10/10. But the jewel in the crown is definitely the Sunday lunch Carvery. They also do happy hour every day £2.50 a pint 😍😍 Our 1st go to bar 🍸 Highly Recommended

Food order was a farse! Ordered well in time but apparently order wasn't passed on to kitchen. We like buddies bar but no organisation when it comes to food. Not the first time we have witnessed chaos here with food. Come on guys.!

Greeted by a woman that gave us a table around the corner by the smoking area (we don't smoke) people were smoking inside the door, so we asked to move , food was awful, chips were hard and dry, forgot our extra portion of chips (luckily) locals Vs outsiders feeling to the place, won't be returning.
