Had the pleasure of being served by Dhruv and honestly, he’s an absolute gem. An excellent barman who truly goes above and beyond to look after everyone. He’s incredibly kind, and the way he speaks to guests—with such politeness and a gentle manner—is something you don’t see every day. It’s no surprise he has so many great reviews—I was genuinely curious to see who this guy was, and now it all makes perfect sense. What an asset to the company. People like Dhruv make all the difference. Keep shining, mate!

The staff were beyond kind! They were busy but had time for all of our requests! Dhruv served us at the bar and helped us with our blue light discount! He was wonderful and made us aware of the wait for food. The food was worth the wait and our family enjoyed it. We 100% will be back!

Called on Sunday and they were fully booked Dhruv went above and beyond to accommodate for me and my family, all staff are friendly and you couldn’t ask for better! Couldn’t recommend more 5⭐️

Lovely friendly staff. Just met friends so didn't try food but what we saw looked good.

Booked on website for 19:00 on Mother's day in the morning, and got confirmation. When we arrived we were informed that they had no table for us, as they only pull reservations down the night before, so they can't help us, as they were fully booked. Apparently they can't do anything about that and there is no reflection of this when booking online. Further informed they had a 1 hour wait for food if a table became available, so we left. Poor customer service, poor organisation, abrasive staff. Not recommended in any way shape or form.

Staff very friendly. Food was lovely. Great atmosphere and even helped my son by giving him s balloon to give to his mum on mothers day after he had lost the one he had bought earlier in the day 👍 😀 😳

While the food and service were as expected, the 'background' music was obviously aimed at a young audience, and was also too loud for us.

My 5 colleagues and I had a great experience every staff we engaged with was polite and helpful and we all said we would come again because we enjoyed the food and beer

Since being under new management this pub is so much cleaner and the atmosphere is more friendly. The food was lovely, piping hot and didn't have to wait long. Will definitely be back soon.

Great service, 9 people and they served us all together. Good food, good surroundings. Not crowded for a Sunday lunch time. We will be back.

The fact table service has been abolished was bad enough but to then scan the QR code and be told no ordering services available for the Woodlark Bordon on 4 separate devices was a pain considering we had 3 children and 4 adults. We had to wait to order by the bar where people just buying beers and we had a meal booking. After eventually ordering, the drinks came in a timely manner but I can't say the same about the food. It took quite a long time for the food to come out. I can't fault the food though, it was excellent and probably the best food experience I've had at the Woodlark. It's just disappointing that the table service is gone and the QR code ordering service off the menu doesn't work. Even when it does work there's stuff missing on the app which is available to have. Many drinks are not available to order on the app but they're sitting right there behind the bar. Overall the food is good, however it is let down by the lack luster / non existent ordering on the app and also lack of table service which was always very welcoming. I can't help but feel older generations won't eat here now due to faffing with the app and having to queue to order. In fact my parents I know for a fact will not order on the app as it takes them too long and they can't end up finding what they want. Not to mention asking about allergens and I got told twice to look on the app by a member of staff. It wasn't immediately available and took many times to try and load it. It's just gone down hill which is a shame as the chef did a really good job.

Five stars for my local pub! It's a nice and clean spot with an excellent range of drinks and food choices. The environment is just right – comfortable and inviting. Ample parking space is a plus, and the friendly staff ensures a pleasant visit. The presence of a designated smoking area is a thoughtful touch. Cheers to a great place

Went to the woodlands yesterday afternoon and ordered 3 small meals from the lunch time menu, which took 45mins to arrive at our table luke warm, we then ordered 3 puddings which 1 came out pretty much straight away but the other 2 took another 40minutes to arrive, which again was luke warm. I did ask the boy serving why it was taking so long which I was greated with an attitude and told that everyone orders at once and there's only 1 chef on. which would be a reasonable reason but there was only 3 tables occupied including ours in the whole pub, he then came out with our puddings looking cross and as he walked passed us shouted to the chef in perfect ear shot of us thanking him for his fast service haha very unprofessional. The girl that actually took our orders was lovely and polite and came over to apologize for the wait, she's a credit to your pub Regarding the response from the woodlark saying they had reviewed the footage and I was in the pub under an hour, I would look again at the footage, I was sat on the table by the toilets just so you get an accurate measurement of time I was there, I have an app called life 360 that tracks where I go and how long I have been there, it shows my location at your pub from literally just after 12pm and left just before 2pm I can have this proof emailed over to you, I wouldn't write a review unless I could back up the details I put in it

I had a lovely weekday meal with friends. The menu has a great selection of classics. I really enjoyed the American style hot dog with chilli beef. The chips that accompanied the dish were crispy on the outside and really fluffy in the middle - just as they should be! Dhruv was a great server! He's enthusiastic, efficient and happy to banter and makes some great menu suggestions.

We had an absolutely amazing time at The Woodlark in Bordon! The bingo and karaoke nights were so much fun, creating a fantastic atmosphere full of energy and laughter. The food was delicious—fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. A huge thank you to Kevin and the entire team for their friendly and attentive service, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a great pub with good food, entertainment, and a welcoming vibe, The Woodlark is the place to be. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant lunch at the woodlark today. We had the chicken burgers and they were delicious! Served by Dhruv, very polite and helpful and understanding, I was there with an elderly friend who doesn’t go out much due to anxiety but we had a great time and will definitely return.

Booked a table online day before for Sunday lunch, no issues with booking, was quick and easy. We all had a Sunday roast dinner, which was absolutely delicious, our plates were clean after. Staff were welcoming and the restaurant was clean/tidy

Absolutely awful experience. We usually enjoy the woodlark but the past 3 times we have been over the year it has just got progressively worse. We waited over 45 minutes just for our starters and when we approached somebody about this we were told that the kitchen was busy. Whilst I understand it may have been, the restaurant was not busy at all with only have 2 other couples and a group of 5 friends. Whilst we were waiting for our starters karaoke night began which as you can imagine if you are trying to have a meal was not great. This should be told to customers before booking as it was not a pleasant experience. The beer was also awful and it was a beer my partner likes and has regularly but he could not even finish it as it tasted off to him. This is a real shame as the woodlark is somewhere that holds memories for us and we used to have a great time. However, due to our last 3 experiences we will not be returning.

VERY POOR, FOOD COLD BAD SERVICE. GOT TOTAL REFUND

Not been to the Woodlark for couple of months but thought we’d catch up with some friends for a few drinks. Arrived at 7pm asked a young female waitress if it’s allright for food still and told yes no problem. Sat down ordered food and drinks no problems however we noticed a female waitress walking about with an attitude thought ok maybe had a bad day no problem however when we all finished our food we where still picking at our fries that we had left whilst chatting then this south African female waitress came over grabbed my plate and stacked some other bowls into it clearing our table. Surely ask if someone’s finished before just taking their plate it’s just basic good manners let alone customer service. Whilst I was getting another drink at the bar the man behind the bar was confused as the waitress was going round telling people something which turned out to be that at 845pm it was last orders as the kitchens closed at 9pm and everyone should be out and leaving the building at 9pm to which he seem pleasantly surprised about but happy to get an early finish. I asked if I could get dessert still whilst at the bar and then told he’s not sure know so he’ll check and come let me know, then along comes the female waitress again and said yes you can have pudding but there’s no point as she hasn’t got anything left apart from 2things and then reminded us that we have to be out by 9pm so not a lot of time left. I ordered my fudge cake and ate it whilst finishing my drink to which she came over very quickly once I had the last spoonful in my mouth and said ‘guys you really need to leave now it’s gone past 9pm finish your drinks’ I challenged her and said I thought kitchen closes at 9 but pubs open until 11pm. I then received a sentence of absolute nonsense saying ‘we’ve a new manager and they’ve said because we open later at 12 we finish early at 9instead so you need to go’ I mentioned that most Marstons open till 11pm but got shut down with it’s got to be changed still. After this I had enough and thought I’m not spending anymore money to which we all left. Whoever the manager is now needs to have a chat with this waitress and sort her customer service skills out. Il be going back for drinks at some point the next weekend and hopefully I can see the manager or see the waitress is in a better mood. Arrange my father's wake to be held at the Woodlark and a small buffet laid on for the guests. The amount of food was more than I had expected, certainly worth the money, The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making a difficult day little better.

Had Birthday dinner for 10 people this evening, service was brilliant, very welcoming, friendly and looked after us really well. Food came out all together it was all hot and no complaints from anyone Portions were massive and the kids meal could have been an adults size for real. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again.

The amount/selection of veg was poor...Sunday lunch... compared to the picture on menu.. couple of small heads of starting to go yellow broccoli.. and an amount of red cabbage under the beef.. no carrots, peas or other veg, flagged this up and more potatoes arrived and more same condition broccoli, red cabbage and the addition of peas. Meat was good but knives very blunt so hard to cut but tasty.

A good experience overall. Menu prices were just right. We chose Cowboy Burgers, Thai Curry and a Steak and Ale pie. Nicely cooked food at reasonably good affordable prices. We went lunchtime and I booked a table in a "quiet area" which we were given. Waitress service was just as we like it too, not overly attentive but there if needed. Would recommend.

Made to feel welcome as soon we entered and were given a choice of tables. As soon as we were seated a waitress came to take our order for drinks which she then went to collect. After a short time she came back to ask if we were ready to order our food then went away with our orders. When she came back with the food it was well presented and piping hot. We enjoyed our meals very much and look forward to going back again in the near future. I thoroughly recommend the Woodlark.

Come here at least once a week. Only on quiet midweek days with my mates, and Dhruv is an absolutely top bar man. As soon as we walk through the door he’s got a smile on his face and knows what drink we’ll be having before we even order it. Top top bloke.

We read the reviews and decided to check out the experience. The pub has recently been taken over by a new couple who are doing an incredible job. I’d like to say at the start I don’t base my review feedback on just the food it’s all about the experience from start to finish. The atmosphere in the pub very relaxed the food extremely well cooked and very hot. The environment extremely clean ❤️literally spotless especially the toilets. The staff were all extremely nice.We ended up having a bit of banter with one of the customers who actually ended up being one of the bar staff, a top man. It’s not very often you visit a place and feel like you’ve had an absolutely fantastic time, but we did. Some advice to anyone reading this review make sure you pop in and check this place out it rocks. Good luck for 2025 you’ve certainly made an impression on us best wishes Darren/Dawn.

We recently visited the Woodlark in Bordon and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The service was exceptional—bright, cheerful, and welcoming. The food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious, perfectly complementing the festive yet calming atmosphere. We were also impressed with the timing; a 25-minute wait was just right, giving us enough time to relax and enjoy some drinks beforehand. We came to the woodlark for our Christmas treat, Service was fantastic, we were seated quickly and food was quick to arrive. Millie was attentive and warm. The food was incredible, all 3 courses were delicious.

The pub is amazing! It was the best pub food I’ve tried in the locality but the highlight was the atmosphere and the staff, specially Dhruv! He was so considerate throughout the service and preemptive with everything he did. There are lots of pubs in the area but it is staff like him that makes you want to go back!

Popped into Woodlark the other night, and it was such a great vibe! Drinks were on point, and the staff really knew how to keep things flowing smoothly, even when it got busy. Shoutout to Dhruv, one of the managers there—he seemed super on top of things, making sure everyone was having a good time. You can tell he’s got the place running like clockwork. Definitely coming back for another round soon!

At the top of my mind I do remember Dhruv Thakkar, not sure of his exact duties but he went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. From recommending some of the bar’s signature drinks to guiding us through their standout dishes, Dhruv's attention to detail and dedication to making us feel comfortable was evident. He made sure we were taken care of every step of the way, always with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. The combination of great food, a fantastic drink selection, and service like that from everyone who we interacted with made for a perfect evening.
