Worst customer service and they have blamed me for my incorrect order. I have to pay extra to get what I need.

Absolutely disgusting service from here, told it was gonna be 30 mins it then took over an hour and to also be spoken to like dirt by the owner. Will never be coming here again. You've lost a very loyal customer that's been with you for years. Manns chinese is the perfect example of how a Chinese should be run.

THE RUDEST OWNER EVER! I’ve been working in hospitality for years and never encountered such disgusting customer service. Ordered home delivery via the just eat app for the third time in the last few weeks. Food ordered for 9pm. I come home from work at 7:30pm to find the delivery driver just leaving £55 worth of food outside my front door. I called the owner who was reluctant to give me a refund, said she was going to decline me from now on, that I’m causing her issues for not eating my food an hour and a half early and made the delivery driver take all the food away. Not even an apology

Great food. Just a shame they can't cater for allergies.

We've been using Chefs Kitchen for several years. The food is always good, portions are as large as can be crammed into the containers and they never skimp on ingredients. I always collect so I can't comment on delivery times. The longest I've had to wait from placing a telephone order to having the food is 30 minutes. Usually it's closer to 15 minutes.

Used to love this place but the last two take always have been awful. The food has arrived cold and most of it tasteless and poor quality ingredients. I had chicken stay. It looked like and tasted disgusting. Not anything like satay. The veg was soggy and chicken rubbery and it was cold. My partner had chicken chow mein which he said was also bland and chicken rubbery too. Shared a rice which was cold and tasteless. We had quarter aromatic duck which was shocking too. Half the meat was just fat and half was so dry you couldn’t even chew it. Paid £40 for cold tasteless and poor quality food. Also £6 for delivery ?! Awful ! Won’t be ordering from here again.

Tasteless food. Ordered 3 mains and starters. Starters were fine but what happened to the mains, a special Chow mein with a spoonful of noodles and the rest was veg( it's a noodle dish), chicken and oyster sauce which was more like mushrooms and gravy and my father's dish tasted strange and went straight into the bin. Won't be ordering again !!.

Always had great food from here, we find it to be always hot and freshly cooked. Well worth a try

2 hour wait for delivery which was only mentioned after ordering and paying… when the food did eventually turn up it was cold and had £10 worth missing… Have been using for the past year and although good at the beginning, has definitely done down hill! Will be trying another from now on and advise anyone reading this to do the same.

My partner ordered online this evening and upon receiving email confirmation stating a 2 hour wait for delivery decided to call to say we would collect instead. Was then told on the phone they would get the delivery to us within an hour. After waiting the full two hours and an additional 10 minutes, we phoned again only to be told our order hadn't even been cooked as they were very busy and priortising walkin orders!!! Disgusting customer service and to top it off when the food did arrive, bearing in mind we had been told the order hadn't been cooked, the chips were lukewarm! We will not be back

Really disappointing, used to be so good but has gone downhill recently. Ordered a takeaway from there last night and was nearly £80 but there was a lot but to spend that much and it be disappointing is a shame. The chicken was chewy, the banana fritters the banana was actually all grey inside so couldn’t be eaten. The chicken and sweetcorn soup had no flavour and the bbq sauce was like an pva glue. It was just disappointing and gone downhill from how it used to be. Used to be the best. Won’t be coming here anymore will be looking to order elsewhere.

Ordered a collection this evening and have to say it was superb. So much food could not eat it all. Never mind, enough left for breakfast tomorrow 🥢

Have been going here for years. What the hell has happened to the food and the ridiculous prices. Less than 6 months ago our order was £32.80 and this week the same was £44.95. The satay was dry and burnt and the prawn toast were not fresh. The breaded chicken was soggy. the only thing okay was the seaweed but more salty than usual. Will not be returning here for a takeaway anymore

Absolutely shocking experience when I called to advise one of my dishes was inedible. Would not refund and manageress was rude. I would avoid as sub standard food and even worse service (or lack of).

Sadly after 3 years I have had to change my once 5 star review to 1! The food is good, however when there is a problem (mistakes happen we are all human) the customer service provided by the manager is very poor, she almost tries to make you feel that you were the one in the wrong! Time to switch to Man’s Chinese up the road.

Pisstake. Ordered twice from here and both times got the order wrong. No wonder delivery takes 5 minutes when they miss half the order. All the family eating separately because they're clearly incompetent.

My go to Chinese in Alton! It’s a bit pricey yeah but honestly it’s worth it. Quality of food is so lovely, they are always friendly and never get the order wrong. Have the lemon chicken and aromatic duck! Yum yum

Decided to try Chefs Kitchen again a couple of weeks ago (visited shop and collected) and was very impressed. Really good food and the customer service was amazing, especially as they were under severe pressure with orders. Will order and collect direct from shop in the future although cash only option was a pain.

Very disappointed with customer service missing item then told me we had it,well love we didn't. Put it in the oven she said still not had 1/2 hour later. Very very unhelpful. We work hard so to be spoken to like we were we are very upset.

Was going to leave a four star review as to be cash only in 2021 is mind boggling. However the food was that incredible leaving anything less than a perfect review would feel harsh. I had the udon noodle with beef teriyaki and a side of grilled dumplings and they were amazing. The beef was so tender and tasty and the prices are super fair considering portion size and quality. I have only just finished and I am already looking forward to my next visit. The only thing I would change is to accept card payments. Cash isn't king anymore.

Health & Hygiene not a priority! I have often ordered food from Chefs Kitchen, but last night I walked past at about 11pm when they were closed and one of the chefs was cleaning out the fryer whilst smoking, inside a kitchen and in his chefs whites!! I won't be returning, if they are this blatant about smoking around their kitchen, god knows what else they ain't doing? If he is that lazy he can't walk a few feet to go outside is he seriously taking the time to check dates on meat and temperatures of his fridges and freezers? If you have any sense i would avoid this place, I'm amazed they haven't killed anyone yet!

Oh my word!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!! Quick delivery and incredible food. We ordered smoky shredded chicken, salt and chilli chicken, crispy shredded beef and chicken chow mein. The smoky shredded chicken is just gorgeous and i genuinely couldn't get enough of it! For the first time in as long as I can remember I was devastated to be full haha. Honestly though we just found our new local Chinese! Will definitely be back very soon!

we ordered a Chinese take away on Saturday 19 october 2019 the order was wrong and poor quality very salty more like a mush than a meal and for the money i would expect more sorry very poor

Had food from here this eve. Bland rubbish. On time though, only plus.

We have used this place a number of times and we have had no issues. But unfortunately we used them again and when the food turned up it was luke warm we then phoned them back up to explain the situation, only to be informed it was brought straight to us from the restaurant. There was no apology when we complained. We had to use the microwave to warm our food up.

Honestly one of the worst meals I have had in years. Inedible. Even the plum sauce with the crispy duck was suspect. And they got the order wrong. Terrible

Found the food a bit greasy and lacking of flavour. Three of us ordered different dishes from the menu and we were all disappointed.

Great food and quickly prepared, everything is cooked from scratch and you can watch them preparing it, the only thing to bear in mind is they dont take cards, its cash only.

Really wanted some chicken fried rice tonight, but it did not happen. I went to the restaurant at 1012pm. It seemed abandoned, then after a minute, an out of breath young man and woman came up from downstairs. They said sorry, closed no food. Oh well. This was my one chance to get food from here that I have heard is so good. They should post "Closing 10pm" if they decide they need to close at 10pm.

The last few times we have ordered on a Friday night for delivery. We have phoned through our orders at 6pm. We have been told delivery time will be between 45 and 60 minutes. For the last few times using this takeaway they are taking 1 hour 45 mins and last week it was 2 hours to deliver the food. Not once have they phoned us to inform us that delivery will be delayed or apologised. The majority of the time we have had to phone several times to chase up the order and it seems like they have forgotten to cook our food each time and lost our order. We will not be using this takeaway in future and have taken our business elsewhere.

Great Chinese take away. Buzzing atmosphere. Hard working chefs. Often tasters while you are waiting. Lovely Chinese food: delicious, plentyful, quick, fresh.

I grew up in Hong Kong, and this is still one of the best Chinese Takeaway places I've been to in my life! Great tasting food, and run by a friendly couple who recognise you after the first visit. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend :)

Very good food at really reasonable prices. The speed with which they will get your order is pretty incredible. Always polite and charming, even when dealing with an influx of customers, they will make changes to dishes as requested without any problem at all. Be aware though, that you MUST take cash with you to pay. If you forget, there.are cash machines a little way down the hill in town so it's not a disaster.

Ordered a variety of dishes for home delivery at 6-30pm, it arrived around hour and a half later. Ample food in tasty sauces but, the chicken starter was very fatty pork, the king prawns were over-cooked and the beef almost inedible. Never again.
