Woodland Tandoori in Harrogate

Absolutely gorgeous food from here tonight again. Chicken Tikka Balti for me & Chicken Maylayan for my wife,both really good,we really enjoyed them. Highly recommended 👌

Nuclear coloured red sauce straight from a cheap tin- that was supposed to be a tikka masala Cold, doughy Naan and bhajis that were more like soggy brown dumplings. Yeuch. Avoid this place- obviously the new owners can’t cook! Should’ve gone to Morrisons :-(

Seems to have changed owners bad is shocking Shocking onion bhaji , processed chicken tikka masala , just plain chicken with a red sauce nothing like curry , bring back the old owners as this look just seem to have a love for food from bookers!!

Food was very nice arrived as expected but very very very salty which spoiled the whole experience. Cut the salt input and it would have been spot on.

I am afraid I cannot say as much because no cash payment available at this takeway restaurant. Food I didn't tasted I cannot give my thought but is the only one on this area close from home.

Not gonna lie, had higher hopes from this place given the reviews on Google. So many plastic bags! Side salad came in a plastic bag, naans came in a plastic bag, sauces in a plastic bag which we had to tear so couldn't even reuse. Not happy about that and the impact on rubbish and the environment. The rice wasn't proper yellow tasteful pilau, was just colourful dyed basmati... Don't know why Indians arent doing proper pilau rice anymore! Korma was okay, partners chicken pathia was okay. The cheesy naan wasn't that cheesy, I was convinced it was a plain naan until I got closer to the centre. Garlic naan was nice. My chicken tikka starter was disappointing. The chicken wasn't marinaded so once the coating came off in my mouth, the chicken was so bland. Tasted nice, just wish it was absorbed into the chicken more. Overall, quite let down... Don't think we'll return. Our old regular has gone down hill too... Think it's time to start trying to go out to try Indian restaurants and try eating in for a more authentic experience.

The food is lovely (best Indian takeaway here IMO) and the phone service is great too!! Improve delivery times (please) and you’ve got 5* from me!

Not great; lamb Ghaty (meant to be fairly hot was not at all) was packed mostly with chunky peppers and onions, lamb was over cooked and dry, dish was sweet and not as described just as the far spicier Chicken Bombay Special described as various herbs & spices. In general lacking in flavour and overpriced at over £25 for two mains a rice and some breads. Delivery requested for 8pm and turned up at 6:20pm which didn't help having to keep the dishes warm. Will not bother with this place again.

Best biriyani I've had in a long time! Rice and curry was so tasty. And my partner really enjoyed his jalfrezi. Thanks woodland tandoori :)

Have to say Woodland Tandoori have really upped their game.....last 3 takeaways including tonight have been superb. Tried lots around town and theirs is by far the best! Keep up the good work!

Just had our first takeaway since they moved from woodlands corner albeit a few years ago,was excellent! Highly recommended!

The best onion bhajis!! Vegetable main dishes always include a good selection of vegetables. Recommend the vegetable pathia - perfectly seasoned. Friendly service from taking the 'phone order through to delivery. Always spot on!

It’s a fabulous food. Specially lamb kadai. It’s real taste of mugal style. Children also enjoyed. Will order again. Good costumer service’s and prompted Delivery also. Good friendly dealings .

What used to be a pretty good Indian takeaway has sadly declined. The quality of the food has not been good for a while now, and my latest visit will be my last.

Best Indian I've had in a while. Rogan josh is beautiful and so is the special Karahi. Beautiful service and cooked on time. The staff are great and there is such a range of food for everyone. Ordering tonight so I thought I'd write a review

Excellent, delicious authentic Indian food and on time deliveries!

We are regular customers and most times the food is good. However, waited 2 hours last night for delivery and sons chips were soggy because they come wrapped in a plastic bag!! Please stop doing this.

Don’t know abt their curry but the cheese burger and chips is horrible. The burger is fried and chips was hard.

Excellent takeaway. Well priced, and never a bad dish. Good range of options, including plenty of vegetarian choices.

Very good value food, the best Madras this side of Rusholme. The specials are all worth a look but beware the chilli ones-they are very hot.

Probably one of the best and most reasonably priced takeaways in Harrogate. Where else can you get a donner on nan for £3.50. Good size portion that would cost £6 - £7 elsewhere. Currys are great value too and some good and different options from the usual types. Delivery is always within the timescale with polite and friendly drivers. Phone orders through as Just Eat will rip you off with a service charge on all orders.

Perfectly adequate, but certainly nothing more. No idea quite why it has the high ratings. It's generic takeaway food. Set your expectations accordingly. I was told it was 'really good' so expected something more akin to restaurant quality. Not even close.. So, perfectly ok, but nothing sets it apart from any other generic Indian takeaway...

First time I have eaten from here - absolutely wonderful - I have eaten curries from numerous places worldwide and the meal I had from you was superb - spiced to perfection !! Not too hot - I like to appreciate the subtle spice flavours - not burn my taste buds with Vindaloo. Will definitely be back for more !!!
