We've been here a few times and know it's not the best food and drink or very fast service but we only wanted a drink so we gave it a go. It was raining and there wasn't much of a queue but we still managed to wait 15 minutes for a hot chocolate and a milkshake. Quite amazing the slowness of the service. It seems to be staffed by a load of kids who couldn't give a stuff.

What a great idea - stop for a coffee half way through walking the dog and sit for ten minutes in a great location having been served by truly nice people. Except they charged me 90p for soya milk- 90p!!!!!! So a small coffee served from a hut in the woods cost me £3.60 Loads of people don’t want dairy these days- why are we being penalised because we can’t have dairy? A shame- but won’t be doing that again.

Waited in line today, queue not it moving for 10 mins. Really need to work out systems to be more efficient. 20 mins is too long for just a coffee

I love walking the dogs at Eccy Woods, especially as I can reward myself with a coffee and toasted tea cake from here. Always friendly staff, and a biscuit treat for the dogs. A great place for a coffee in the summer or winter. Wish it was open more.

Walking my dogs in the woods is something I do most weeks and having a little stop off here for a drink and a slice of cake is nice and refreshing.

We came upon the place by accident when walking the dogs to Millhouses park and as it was mid afternoon we stopped for a coffee. Although the facility is in the open some tables had fixed covers over them so even a quich shower did not spoil the day

This small cafe has a limited menu and the seating is outside. However, the coffee is excellent, and so are the cakes (although my favourite is the corn-bread toast with Marmite!). And there are shelters to sit under if it rains. The staff are lovely. There are loos (very clean and pleasant) inside the Discovery Centre, and a car park. But the best thing is the setting, within Ecclesall Woods. It's a great place to walk, run or ride a bike, to bring your kids or your dogs. And its great to end up at the cafe, or drop in half-way round your walk.

Decided to stop for a coffee while walking the dog, quite a few people queuing at the hatch, however this queue was only to put in your order,so ordered my coffee and after about 15 minutes one of the servers announced order number 70 and as my ticket was 81 I decided to ask for a refund which I was given. This woodland coffee stop could be a great commercial success but it has all the hallmarks of an inefficient public sector organisation, do they really think people will wait an hour for a coffee while they are fulfilling cooked orders 1 by 1.The same can be said about how they are using the space available to them, you have a great venue so get in the real world and make a success of what a gem you have.

A chance meeting with family this afternoon meant we met up at the Woodland Discovery Centre and having lunch from the Woodland Coffee Shop. Simple but good menu, respectable prices and excellent service. Served from my a friendly and polite member of staff, tea served in bone china, coffee is huge mugs, food served hot and promptly. Lovely place, a real hidden treasure..... Don't tell too many people about it, it would spoil it 😜

Every week I am spotted at the coffee stop. It's a welcome relief at the end of a walk. They have the best cappunicinos in Sheffield. A real gem. The staff are always so happy and welcoming.

Nipped in for a quick brew and a breather on a busy Saturday morning. Found this little wooden oasis with lovely coffee, homemade cakes and sat in the sunshine on the carved curved benches. Just lovely. Will be back soon for the bluebells

We are regular visitors here, always great coffee and lovely selection of home made cakes, we're never disappointed. You place your order at the hatch, find a table in the courtyard and someone brings your food and drinks out to you. If your expecting a indoor cafe you could be disappointed as all tables are outdoors, some undercover some not, but for the location this is perfect. Dogs are welcome with free dog biscuits at the counter and a water bowl or 2 dotted around. It can get quite busy during events but the quality is always great and there are only a couple of events a year, they also do bio degradable take away cups so you can take your coffee on your walk, not that we leave our cup in the woods to biodegrade! I have seen people eating sandwiches which look loverly but we only have coffee and cake. The place is really nice this time of year as another business in the same location sell christmas trees.

A very charming and beautifully located cafe amongst the woodland environment. Although I didn't order anything myself, the fare seemed very enticing and definitely look forward to a return visit to sample the treats! Lovely spot for a short stop.

Outstanding hot drinks. Great cappuccino and lovely gunpowder green tea in china pot. Small selection of food but sticky prune cake was excellent. Outdoor seating only but much of it is sheltered. Pristine indoor loos. Recommend for walkers especially with dogs or kids in tow....

The pub itself is what you want from a traditional establishment. The atmosphere is good. Been visiting here for many years, both for food and drinks. Visited tonight for drinks with family, and it was quite visible how many customers had just drinks? For years we visited to both eat and drink, but now just for drinks? The food over the past couple of years has been awful, from burnt pizza to dry burgers etc. I was shocked but not surprised how few people were eating? It’s not a cheap establishment and has steadily declined over the past couple of years? It’s such a shame as the pub is great and the staff are lovely.

This place has turned into an absolute joke. The queue times are ridiculous and half the time there is only 2 people on, one taking orders and one making the drinks. Now they have changed their opening times and if you are seeing a movie after 7.30 you can't get a coffee now. We used to persevere because we like the coffee however the final nail in the coffin was the price increase! £7 for a venti cold brew! £7! however if you drive to meadowhall just around the corner you can have the same drink for £5.75! It's an absolute rip off! We will no longer be going!

Dropped on this pub while looking for a Brunch spot ... interesting menu .. my daughter is vegan ... I'm a meat eater ... there was plenty of choice for us both ... she had mixed tapas plates and I had Katsu chicken burger ( I think that's what it was called).... it took a while to arrive but that's fine ...it was clearly freshly prepared and very very tasty Full marks to this pub ... lovely decor ..great music being played ... but ...wow ..a wetherspoons style trek to the ladies ...up and down stairs !!!!! Would definatly visit again . SD Leicester
