Woodland Bakery in Brentwood

The food would be unimpressive in a school canteen - super dry chicken, frozen veg and oven chips. The building is also pretty shabby and needs some TLC. However, the staff were lovely and salvaged it from being a one star review.

Nice little pub, staff ok not the happiest. Half the menu they had run out of and the what they did was not great at all. I had a very dry over cooked fish and chips. Other members of my group also didn’t rate their food.

so.. not sure on the "we're filming you for social media signs", but for me, yes it's refurbished and the outside does look good. The inside however now feels smaller, there are definitely less seats, it is not a relaxing pub at all (it was once). Perhaps some UX testing will be carried out by the owner including reading customer reviews so that in the future it will be worth a visit again..
