Woodoven ha bajado cuesta abajo y ha perdido todo su encanto. El servicio terrible y el restaurante es demasiado ruidoso con mesas y sillas demasiado cerca. La comida se mezcló algo bueno, algo terrible. El filete de solomillo de los maridos no era un filete apropiado. No volveremos

We had been for a while amd wished we had ,food was great,staff friendly,I went with the homemade chicken shop,this was delicious and the shish.

probably one of the best turkish restaurants I have been to, the salmon 🍣 meal was spectacular, The starters and complementary side dishes were also very delicious tasty everything was spot on, all the staff were amazing, 🤩 and the owner is an absolute incredible individual, i’ve only been here a couple of times, and last night we sat on a small table, right in the corner, me and my wife didn’t like that table as it felt a bit cramped, but other than that everything else was brilliant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you for everything, from Ibrahim shekerali, and angie shekerali.

We tried Wood Oven BBQ with the family. It seemed nice to begin with found a menu online but the prices must of changed since. The food was okay bit over priced for the portion size. My main problem with the service was I could not change the rice or couscous for chips. They instead made me order a separate side of chips and still gave me a full plate of rice which went to waste. I've been to loads of other Turkish restaurants and have never been told they can't swap them.

The food was not packed properly, the lid was not secure on the kebab and the salad was very watery. This meant that the food fell out , the lamachen was soggy . Such a shame

Last night at wood oven bbq table wasn’t ready even tho it was booked two weeks before hand half of us got there starters half of us had to wait so we couldn’t eat all together I had to wait for my starter after everyone else had finished there’s because they forgot We got charged for large lamb shish twice when we asked for med shish twice which is optional med or large on the menu Giving us the wrong drinks or we weren’t getting our drinks and had to constantly have to ask where our drinks were There is no organisation or Communication with staff So disappointed

We had a lovely meal here. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The sharing platter was a generous amount of food it could easily feed 3-4 people. All the meat was well cooked, succulent, and also well seasoned. The salsa was fresh and tasty. We are definitely coming back here and would absolutely recommend it. Thank you Wood Oven.

Nice food, ordered a large shish and chips, expensive at nearly £18. They said cash only while there was a card machine next to them by the till, I pointed this out and they said it was ok to pay by card after that?! Seems fishy.

Staff are so rude I informed them we got very sick after eating in there and the man I spoke to said what do you want me to do about it. I asked for the managers name said he doesn't know and he on holiday. Very rude people

Maravillosa comida, bebidas y experiencia en general! Teníamos las alitas de pollo y costillas de cordero, ambos deliciosos. Sazonado muy bien y encantador sabor ahumado a la parrilla. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to their bad attitude and poor response. I placed an order and had to repeatedly ask for lime and tea. Despite saying “yes” each time, the staff kept forgetting. Eventually, they told me they don’t offer lime and tea but could bring lime slices instead. Even after agreeing to that, they never brought the lime slices. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, with only about five or six other customers. I can’t imagine how terrible the service would be if it were full. The service was incredibly slow and unprofessional. I do not recommend coming to this restaurant.

We come here alot because the service is great. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The food is the best turkish food ever. Highly recommend coming down

As far as east London Turkish gaffes go this place defo has it's own unique taste, especially the sarma beyti. Slightly creamier and Tangier than other places, and noticeably better bread too. Layout is a bit of a squeeze though, not ideal for bigger groups unless U want to be rubbed up by every other customer walking by. I didn't mind. Hope they enjoyed it too! Price is up there so only pop in for a treat.

Had a great meal here with my family, 9 of including kids. The food was great and excellent service, our waitress was so friendly and all the staff were so pleasant. We had a range of starters, kebabs and pizzas, all delicious. Looking forward to returning soon.

Quality of meat is not bad but there really stingy on portions like salad for example £24 for a mix kebab and you get a few leaves of salad I’d be embarrassed to serve that. Will be going to kervan next time.

Card payments available I visited here a few times. They have nice Turkish food which is reasonable priced. However they have packed too many chairs into this space and so can feel very cramped depending on where you are sitting. The only reason I have not given this place a five star is due to the crampness and I felt uncomfortable as the waiters all stand nearby together and watch you eat. Whether this is to provide good service to you such as if you need a drink or have finished I don't know, but for people who need space when eating this place might not be for you. If you can look past that then all good.

Not family friendly price wise. unbelievably expensive and no set lunch menus. Toilets are disgustingly filthy. £8 for small halumi £5 for chips “£5 Liberty” £24 for a small mixed kebab Definitely would not recommend to anyone. no wonder why it was empty. I’ve had better food out of Woodford Kebab.

Great food, great decor and no compulsory service charge added

We have been to the Wood Oven many times, and because we love it there, we took friends there on Sunday evening. I know that the pitta bread and tzatziki is "complimentary" but the little dish of tzatziki was really for two, and was polished off very quickly. I usually have the lamb chops (to die for - always a great meal) but this time I chose the lamb shish. I had to eat the cubes whole as the knife provided couldn't cut them. They were quite chewy (but tasty). Finally, our friend chose rice pudding for dessert and surprised that it was served cold, and disappointed to find the tiny portion she was given. Just about 3 or 4 spoons only. That was poor.

I received the wrong order and have reported it with the shop and just eat and have not received a refund. I requested a combination kebab and got half a portion of just lamb but was charged full amount. Reported it immediately on your messenger and email and have had no response

Great food and staff, reasonable prices. Happy to accept cash which is a positive. No service charge, which is great considering how many places like to take their chances by adding one.

The food was very nice and the customer service was good The lamb chops had all the flavour and the texture and the chilli sauce and garlic sauce with that rice was very nice

The time kept being pushed back and when I called the restaurant, 45mins after the original time, they said the guy hadn't picked it up. I heard them ask in the restaurant and the guy who was delivering our order said he was waiting for another order. When our food arrived it was cold. I complained to the delivery guy and he just said nothing.

Service was irratic and felt like you was ment to hurry up, as kept clearing the table while we eat and even wiping table while we are still sitting at it, bill was £197 with a £20 Service charge and not knowing its cash only, so was told to go draw out from the cash machine across the road, it was dark and raining so this was not great, what makes this strange is they don't take cash but they took a £50 deposit when I booked it from my card, so they do have a machine just making it a massive inconvenience for the customers. I understand the prices are up as its the time we live in but £11 for a child's meal? It almost felt our face didn't fit, as another table was very well waited on.... but us not so much. Atmosphere is not warming, I have wanted to come here for a long time, unfortunately I won't be back.

Food was alright, it wasn’t anything special! There is no sign that says cash only and the waiter tried to over charge by saying they had a menu change on the system but new paper menu hasn’t come yet! Atomsphere is really nice!

Improved service and atmosphere

Excellent service food is good but can improve a little.

It's been a long time since we ate at this restaurant and I must say, its even better than I last remembered! They have expanded the size of the restaurant and create an much more up market look. The food quality remains high and the prices are reasonable for the area and are what you'd expect to spend on a decent plate of food. All in all, highly recommended!

I ordered a seafood mix. Apart from the fact that the food was cold and slightly warm, I only got salmon and two chewy and over cooked shelled prawns. The menu stated at least three different types of fish. The menu also says, served with rice and bread." I got a bowl full of bulgur wheat and one or two table spoon of boiled rice. Calamari was soggy, too. Could have had a lot better dinner at home than the effort made to go out. It's also the deception of the restaurant that puts me off, thinking that an individual would not know what is served is different from what the menu states. It's just appalling. I'm never going there again. The restaurant did not meet any expectations in terms of the food quality served and accuracy of the menu description. It's understandable that I feel disappointed and deceived by their service, nothing was done when I complained. It's always and totally frustrating when a restaurant fails to deliver on what they promise.

Was a Sunday about 2pm very busy. Sat age's to order. Eventually brought a tiny amount of bread and Taziki for 5 of us. Food tasted great large shish was definitely large. Asked for sauces never arrived asked for water too AGES. then the boss stands hovering hinting he wants paying. No credit card facilities CASH only if you don't have cash they point to the barckays ATM opposite. Tax avoiding. Would I go again absolutely not much better one up road by waitrose that's accepts cards and better food in my opinion.

The food arrived late, pizza was cold and hard, all the ingredients but thw ham especially nothing like seen advertised, the sweet sauce from the baklava was everywhere in the bag which contaminated the pizza as well. Never again

Since They don't have any signs of "CASH ONLY" from the beginning, so imagine in the cold rain night after the meat and you're informed to pay bills by CASH and they don't accept any card, then the manager stony-hearted tell you to go out and withdrawal cash at the ATM. Food was good not special but the portion was big. Drinks, seems they brought from somewhere else, we ordered 1 non-alcohol and 1 cocktail, they came out exactly the same : non-alcohol! At the end, I think they don't care about selling food, drink nor service, their business maybe something else.

Overpriced for the amount of food you get. Wood Oven previously was better value but I won't be going back due to their prices Vs quantity of food.

Food was good but no one informed us that it was CASH only until we had to pay. That thrown me off quite a bit considering it looked like such a fancy restaurants. So anyone who wants to eat there, make sure you BRING CASH, they don’t inform you nor put a sign out.

I went there with my girlfriend for our anniversary, the staff was very rude and kept giving me dirty looks for absolutely no reason. Ended up finding hair in the food and the owner tried to blame me saying it was my hair when i’m not even blonde. Don’t recommend this place at all, too pricey as well.

As you enter, there's good signage that you can bring your own booze but not one that says "we're cash only"...this caught out many diners during our visit, including us. Many a table had to go marching off to the local cash-point. The food was decent enough. The chicken had a lovely smokey flavour but it was a bit disappointing once plated. Service was a bit too fast. We'd barely finished our starters when the mains arrived. I'd wanted to come here for a while. It'll be a long while before I come back.

Had an amazing birthday dinner here , come all the time and has the most amazing atmosphere ever , not know a better Turkish restaurant as I’m Turkish myself . Would recommend this place to anyone , has massive amounts of food and a great price

I'm from Palmers Green and tried most Turkish places in North London. Wood Oven do the best Adana kebab you'll try for that calibre of Turkish restaurant. Let's just say their Adana is on par with Gokyuzu (those of you that know, this restaurant is supposed to be more of a fine dining Turkish place). It definitely beats places like "Hala" in Harringay and clears all the other mid level Turkish restaurants (Capitial, Kervan, Aksular, Vadi etc). MUST TRY Adana kebab - definitely taste the smoke from the wood grill, incredible colour from spices, great aroma, top quality lamb cooked to perfection! 💯

My experience in this place was not very nice. Firstly, the portion sizes are very small. Secondly, the prices are extortionate for what you get. Thirdly, the only thing I enjoyed was the bread and yoghurt. Towards the end of our visit, once we asked for the bill we were told it was cash only. However, this should have been stated at the beginning. Please avoid unless you like to pay extortionate money.

Food was nice but staff are crooks ! I gave them 200 and they dropped cash behind the bar so i left extra then saw the manager counting cash behind the till.

I've been a loyal patron of my local Turkish restaurant, but the changes have left me disappointed. The food quality is still decent, service remains great, but the prices have skyrocketed, making it hard to justify the cost for what feels like less. It's disheartening to see a place I used to love become a "pay more for less" option.

Dined here with mixed feelings. The location on George Lane was close to the South Woodford tube. The smell of the grill was oh so inviting. Staff were friendly. We ordered the lamb and a chicken burger. The lamb was fantastic, so juicy and cooked with the right amount of char. Bread was warm, fluffy and complimented the meat with its tzatziki spread. Unfortunately the chicken burger was an extreme let down. Fried processed chicken patty on a stale bun. Given the type of restaurant, I expected maybe a grilled chicken breast. Please do try this restaurant but steer clear of the burger.

Really enjoyed the lamb shish- very tender and well marinated, however portion isn't the biggest.

Good tasty food and decent portion size. Let down by service which is a shame, ‘certain people’ are asked to go outside to the nearest cash point and take out cash as they won’t accept card yet ‘others’ are offered a card reader. This is not made clear at all when you first enter the restaurant. Also a lot of staff which is usually a good sign but not attentive at all.

Love the food, love the staff. I always come for lunch but it’s very busy in the evenings during weekends. They also do a corkage free to bring your own alcohol. The chicken Shish is my favourite!

Haven’t been for awhile, used to love this place. Paid over £17 for a takeaway, Halloumi dish which should have come with salad and rice neither of which we got. I had a quarter pound with cheese and despite not being a fan of McDonalds it would have been far better from there.

Food was really nice however when we asked for the bill they told us they don’t take card when we question the staff why they haven’t told us this before we ordered they than said there is a cash machine across the road to get cash . They made my husband along with other guests to get cash . There is clear tax avoidance going on in this establishment so I won’t be going back there again as it’s not ethical .
