Sultan Restaurant in Redbridge

It’s been 6,7 years we used to go there but last night I had the bad experience ever, nothing was same as we used to eat there portion was too small and price goes quite up now. If they put the price up then they supposed to do the platers like that but the plater wasn’t that good ,will never go there again. According to me I think the food taste is not like they were used to be 😔😔😔 I got embarrassed 😞 in front of my friends who were invited for a dinner there .

Rude staff, terrible service, atmosphere too loud, and waiters are liable to mess up your orders or even forget them completely. When these problems happen, they don't offer anything to fix the problems caused. Avoid this place - go to Faroz or Wazir instead of you want a good Turkish restaurant in the area.

Absolutely awful, found hair in lamb doner and i ordered garlic mushrooms and found several garlic cloves and hair pieces. Not kid friendly too!

So i walked in and was told i had to wait by a rude waitress, i waited then walked back in and she seated me and my family, then some waiter came and said we would have to leave due to someone who had allready booked and they kicked us out the group of people behind us even felt bad for us and said they can have our seats but the rude little waiter told them to keep quiet, he may have been the manager they then said wait 5 mins and we will get you a table but i decided to leave as the waitress was so so rude and evil she had no remorse that there were little kids with us and it was freezing cold she said i dont care if you want to go then go it was such a terrible experience i will never even look at this place again let alone go in there if you have kids please avoid this place, it is a families worst nightmare.

Food is very decent here. The family platter is good value and you do get a lot of food. The cop shish is such tiny pieces of lamb like they’re trying to save money there. It would’ve been better if the lamb shish was proper big chunks of meat

Bad reservation management and food has gone downhill. The reservation and waiters are very rude and disgusting in their approach. They seem oppressed or frustrated. That guy that manages the table allocation is nothing short of a rude imbecile, get rid of him.

We went for lunch with my daughter, we had a terrible experience’s. Duty manager Charging extra money. Staffs and duty Manager behaviour disgraceful and rubbish. We asking for food recite’s which was not provided. UK is the rule of law, this type of restaurants staff’s and owner always violated Uk rules. As long as we have a card payment details, we will complain to the restaurant license authority.

We went today as a family lunch for 7 adults and 3 kids. Upon on arriving the woman staff asked us to put our pram in the corner which I did. Then after a man coming after me name called harry and told me he is the manager to fold the pram as there wasn’t space in a rude arrogant way. He even told to my grandma to use her logic! I was angry the way he spoken to us. Firstly there is enough space in the counter secondly he should ask us nicely as we are a customer and we are there to have lunch so then i said we will just leave the restaurant as if they don’t like us to be there because of our pram. This restaurant clearly isn’t good for kids as you will not feel welcome at all. They will treat you rubbish if u have a pram!! It wasn’t our first time to be dine out in Sultan however this will be the last. Surely I can imagine the management is very poor due to having a poor manager and arrogant called Harry.

I went yesterday for dinner with my family we had Excellent service for such a large table and it the food was so lovely and tasty. The atmosphere was unbelievable and the staff were impeccable. Would definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.

Highly recommend the mixed grill, the meat was cooked perfectly (not dry at all). The bulgar wheat was extremely tasty! The turkish bread was fluffy and soft and went well with the hummus. My only criticism is that we did feel rushed, as our starters and mains came together. I would definitely recommend this place, but make sure you have a table booked.

While the food was very tasty and the staff very sweet, it just was so disjointed. I get they have there way of doing things but having to ask for the bread to be brought over not just brought over just before your food arrives is not good as we like to enjoy and have time in between. The lahmacun was not cooked properly and a bit doughy still. I know I should have said something but I’m not sure the point would have got through.

We spent our nieces 18th birthday at the Sultan. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was exactly as we had heard, delicious, full of flavours and more than enough. We’re now looking forward to a nice meal for two very soon.

Came last Saturday night it was extremely busy but eventhough we didn't book we were told 25/30 mins for our table ...we waited outside along with other diners. Once we sat down one of the waiteress came took our order straight away and got our order within 15 mins. Food was amazing ,I particularly liked their aubergine salad it was very flavoursome. The restaurant was very busy and noisy, lot's of families with children, service is good I think all of the waitresses deserves medals considering how they cope with so many covers they do during Fridays and Saturdays I can't imagine cos I myself run a restaurant. Restaurant proposant des plats typiques turques. Les mezes sont délicieux et copieux. Les doner sont servis en quantité avec beaucoup d'accompagnement. Tout ça avec un service ultra rapide et un personnel au petit soin.

We been there all family services are amazing 170£ bill which were not too bad we were 9 people Big platter fish starters drinks chips burgers etc I saw people they don’t want to spend money and Thy blame on restaurant on service etc which is not nice While we were sitting there 3 tables left nun of pay the tips

Lovely mix grill meaty platter with plenty of bread and salad. Tastes better than average and it is well priced!
