Wazir Restaurant in Redbridge

Everything is very expensive and I was charged service charge TWICE!! I didn’t study the receipt till I got home. Won’t be returning.

The food taste was very bad. I didn’t feel right taste.

I was visiting my family in the area and they are regulars and say how amazing it is so we went Saturday evening. Didn't start off very well with a not very nice parking attendant, I was in quite a big car with my mother, baby and niece and according to him, I wasnt parking correctly but I did not understand all the hand swinging and waving about. When I did park very close to the next car, my mother couldn't not get out and we definitely could not get the baby out. When our male family member arrived in his car, this attendant couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. My experience of the actual restaurant, did not disappoint. All staff were friendly, the restaurant was big and bright and food was AMAZING. Despite parking hassle, we had a lovely time and definitely will return if I'm back in the area.

Turkish gimmick.... poor service and quality

Went for dinner with some friends, we had two different sharing platters with some salad and bread with dips. The salad was quite small but the bread was refilled once for free, which was appreciated. Food was good, the waiting staff were friendly and funny! Nice atmosphere. There is a mandatory service charge of 10% and no tap water is serviced, both very strange.

Great big restaurant and happy to pay the prices for the dishes...until we tasted them- tasteless and menu not properly thought out. Mainly dry dishes. Nothing cooked like a casserole or curry to eat with bread. Doing burgers and english breakfast as well- not a real Turkish restaurant. Mocktails are a joke..simplest mohito for £7 - half (yes half) of a small can of red bull, lots of ice and two mint leaves. should be half the price. Will not visit again. Sorry.

I called to ask about parking and the person on the phone hung up on me. Was very rude, definitely not going there.

This place is a shambles. Tables were dirty and sticky, atmosphere whilst seems like theyre trying comes across tacky. Food is average at best and definitely not worth the price in comparison to other similar cuisine locally. They don't serve tap water which is quite odd. Having visited this place and given it a chance 4 times now, I won't be going again. Baffling how this place is so busy (might be the free car park which is the only thing going for it!)

Fantastic Dining Experience I recently visited Wazir and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was attentive, and the food was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, Perfect for any occasion.

I had Wazir signature breakfast. Like Turkish Khvalti. I asked them to substitute halloumi with hash browns, which they did. Very nice, plentiful, and nicely presented. However, a large flat plate would have been better as it wasn't easy to pick food from various small and large bowls. Mushrooms, hashbroens,olives sausages and cheese very very very good quality However honey wasn't honey, rather some honey looking syrup They gave a side of salad and sauces I didn't need to eat the while day after that, and I have a big appetite

Food was about to delivery at 19:55 -20:05. At 20:05 I can see my food is delivered, but actually my food is delivered at 20:30 after calling the restaurant three times. I am very unhappy with my order. My food. became cold..

Got the jumbo platter for £49.99 for 4 people tasted the same as all Turkish restaurants so nothing special just average. Waiter was in a rush it seemed like to take our order and kept coming every 5 minutes - not necessarily a bad thing but should observe that we were still in discussions of what to get. There was only a few pieces of bread given as usually most Turkish places give a lot more. Mango lassi tasted average. Waiter seemed a bit funny when it came to removing the service charge and almost tried to give the impression that it is some sort of mandatory option and directed us to get up go and go towards the till for this removal.

The platter tasted good, meat was a little chewy. It was expensive for the amount given- more rice than meat but overall decent food.

Always check with their server to repeat what u ordered. Such a snicky cunning place. I was simply talking about the tea with my other guest, it's enough for the server to include it in the bill for all three of us. I am thinking it's free like some Turkish do. Carrot juice £9 konofa dessert £9, service charge for terrible service. The girl just avoids looking at me even when she knows i am calling her.

It was the worst experience we ever had. The menu said lamb platter is for 3 persons, but the portion size was so small that a single person could barely eat to their fill. The quantity of rice was already less, but they put bread in it underneath rice to fill that small plate. Also, they charged 4 £ additional service fee other than food charges. 🙄 I'm never gonna visit again. Sultan is way better than them food taste, quality and cheaper. 😬

A good place for Indian Pakistani Cousine

Honestly, this seems more like a desi/pakistani restaurant more than a Turkish restaurant. The food wasn’t nice I left and I also told the waiter the food isn’t nice. She said okay. She cleaned the table while I’m drinking tea and was slamming the sauces on the other plates. Price wasn’t bad. The place need a good clean.

We went for a family meal on a Sunday night. Service was not good, they had a big group booking and waiters were attending to them. No notice was taken of us. It seemed like they did not have enough staffing to cover the big group and other customers. We had to go up and ask for the bill and pay the bill. No complimentary Turkish tea offered (which is a usual for Turkish restaurants and Wazir). Also they don’t give tap water! Would not recommend due to service.

Here are my thoughts on the ones I tried: Lamb Soup: A hearty and comforting start to the meal! The lamb was tender, and the broth was rich and flavorful. Perfect for a chilly evening. Lamb Shawarma: Absolutely delicious! The lamb was juicy and flavorful, and the shawarma was crispy and well-assembled. The tahini sauce added a nice creaminess. -Dessert Heaven in a Jar: Wow, just wow! This dessert was incredible. The layers of creamy custard, sweet caramel, and crunchy biscuits were absolute perfection. A must-try! Overall, I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food at Wazir Restaurant. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. Pros:Delicious and authentic Middle Eastern flavors, generous portions, excellent service Recommended for: Anyone craving authentic and flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine. I honestly don’t know how this place hasn’t got 5 stars from everyone. The food is always delicious. We brought all our family this time and they fell in love with the food too. Everything is always perfect and that’s hard to find in a restaurant these days. The meat is always so tender and delicious. Please don’t change anything Wazir.

Not really good experience, the service is really bad , when I called the waiter to order my food he saw me but completely ignored me, when he finally came and ordered he took like an hour to give me my food even though there was not that much customers, I found hair in my food and nobodyb cared about it

Quite disappointed from this place. Service was nothing special. They brought us wrong order, didn’t check back if everything was fine and no tap water (which is a must by the legislation). Asked for a big bottle of water and the waitress said they have only small ones when we saw on the other tables. Also, they add service charges which is not optional?! Never heard that before tbh. Won’t suggest this place.

I was finding difficulties since i wasn’t used to their cuisines but Nima was very helpful by providing me with samples to try and was very kind, friendly and humble too. Definitely coming back due to his great customer expertise.

Very nice food, but the restaurant is extremely noisy since they closed half the tables in the back and made everyone sit close to one another.

Ordered zumbo plater portion are really small dosen’t come any ribs and salad they gave which is good for one person not for 3 of us . Great food, very tasty. Service was very good, nice atmosphere, free parking at the back. Only problem is they charge 10% service charge on receipt, they said it's optional when I challenged it. They should be more clear about it, as most people pay it without realising.

We visited Wazir with my children as we usually have take aways from this place and have been fairly happy. Unfortunately it was lacking in cleanliness in our dine in experience as we had flies flying around our food, plates and cups had dried particles of food, the tables were quite oily and it seemed that the place needed a deep clean. A young boy who served us was very professional in delivering the service however another staff member was still chewing food when she came to collect the finished plates. I have visited the place a few years ago with family and friends and we were quite happy with overall experience however it seemed that the place is deteriorating and needed a renovation. The food was ok for my children as per me I had a lentil soup and made me feel quite sick and couldn’t eat anything for the day. Sorry that I had to leave this review but if people do not share their thoughts and experiences change may not happen.

We actually visited their sheesha section they have a family section also, sheesha starts from £25 and they have a variety of menu for non veg lovers not much for vegetarians or vegan i suggest, a cozy place to visit with bunch of friends We ordered some shakes, pizzas, sheesha and yes if you want you can buy your booze and sit and drink as they don't serve alcohol their ask for Ali tehrani nice dude with decent service and very polite Visit this place if you wanna chill out for some hours as they are very good at serving Cheers 🥂

Had the Wazir Traditional Breakfast which was amazing. Took me back to Istanbul. Huge plate of food served with Turkish tea. Najmeh served us and was very polite and attentive. Will definitely be going back again.

Amazing place, Food was amazing and the staff are equally as good. We visited the area for work and we found this place far to late which is a shame. The first order was chicken shish and chips and my God we loved it. The next day we ordered 1/2 cheese burger & cheesy chips and another chicken shish and chips and whilst we waiting to takeaway the front of house staff offered us to sit in the actual restaurant and make ourselves comfortable with some complimentary Turkish tea and Turkish delight. Highly recommend you visit them for a quality time and meal. Thank you

Foods good, clean , good quantity. Also good customer service actually I like, ❤️ I recommend but i didn’t recommend completely or paid Turkish tea because it’s normal black tea. Who didn’t knows the flavour of the Turkish tea maybe they like it but who knows the taste of the Turkish tea they didn’t like it.

My food came too much salted i couldn’t eat, and the bread was old like gum and stone

Went to watch England finals in their sheesha lounge, staff were disorganised the moment we walked in, we reserved a table of 4 online and they couldn't figure what table they had booked us and I gave my name 4 times and they eventually sat us at a table. Once ordered, they bought our platter before they even gave us bread or salad to nibble on and there were no individual plates or cutlery present either so we just sat there with our pile of food for 5 mins until we called someone over to bring the missing stuff. We then asked if they can bring the sauces too and also requested cacik and hummous, after asking 4 times at every 5 mins intervals or so for cacik and hummous we gave up and towards the end of our meal, the waiter then came over apologised for the delay and said its really busy and the sauces will come. We then pointed out the obvious empty platter and asked what on earth are we now going to do with the sauces and clearly not happy with how comical this has been handled so we were given pot of Turkish tea as an apology and the sauces would be removed from the bill. At the end of the evening to add further insult, they demanded service charge and pointed out the free pot of tea we were given, we very politely told him to f'off and told him to remove service charge and he then said we will charge you for the pot of tea instead and became somewhat hostile and stormed off to amend the bill and returned, we explained the Turkish tea was given without any charges or conditions and they always offered Turkish tea with the few occasions we have come to dine here, again he stormed off and eventually gave us a bill without service charge and pot of tea. I wholeheartedly tip but their service was even worse than England's performance.

This place is really packed all the time. but the moment we get in they gave us a seat immediately and bring us a menu. the stuff is really polite and care about all your needs. The only complain is about one of the kebabs. I’m not sure what it is but it could’ve been more better. Other than that, this place is a jam. everything else was perfect.

Dined here last night, service was diabolical, waiters arguing amongst themselves, openly swearing at each other, management arguing over the cash sales. Kitchen team shouting at the waiters, i was in shock! Food was average. Will not be returning at all.

I recently visited to enjoy Turkish kebabs, but I was disappointed. The plastic sheets on the tables had photos of ice creams underneath them, which were incredibly irritating and distracting, especially when you're trying to enjoy your meal. The bright colors made it hard to even look at the table. Moreover, the service charges were unacceptable and felt unjustified given the overall experience. I will definitely not be returning. But All the best for you guys especially the staffs are excellent.

Over priced and food was really standard. Service charge mandatory and when questioning the manager at till, was rude and started to haggle the cost. I let him know to remove it or I'm walking out. Then he agreed. Tap water not given and charge near over £2 for one bottle. I would not recommend.

Advertised the lunch menu for £12.99 and when I went to pay the bill another £1.30 was added as service charge. I told the staff member that you should mention this and he said we can charge whatever we like. It’s not about money but the principal and they shouldn’t falsely advertise this if they going to charge extra

Best Turkish joint in Ilford. Reasonable prices.

Wife and kids, wanted Turkish food, so i decided to give Wazir a try. I was served by a young gentleman at the tills (didn't get his name), who exceeded my expectations of the place. Beautiful food, excellent fast service, and best Turkish tea. (Free) To cut it short, "ALHUMDILILAH", Wife and kids were very happy with their dinner.

Hubby and I were going to eat at an Indian restaurant but accidentally came across this lovely place in ilford on cranbrook road. The restaurant is large and will be able to accommodate wheelchairs and prams. We got here quite early, just before lunchtime and were directed to our table by our friendly server. The restaurant is beautiful and has a rustic Persian/Turkish deco. Absolutely ideal for couples and families. We were served with complimentary Persian breads, dips and salad. I could have eaten more bread. Hubby ordered Chicken Shish Kebab (Tavuk Sis), I ordered veggie lasagna and chips. Hubby stole my chips. We ordered still water and mango juice. The food was delicious and the portions were big. So if you are a light eater be prepared to share your food. Our server and the rest of the staff were friendly and polite. The prices were reasonable. We will be going back to try other dishes. This place is highly recommended.

The food quality was one of the worst I ever experienced. We were fasting and this was the meal we broke our fast with and honestly, despite staying hungry all day, I struggled to eat this rubbish. we ordered the Persian platter for 2 people. they gave half cooked kebabs, filled with fillers (just plain white rice with some oil) and some old salads. It was blonde, and not spicy at all (despite clearly mentioning this in order). Honestly even if I am paid to eat , I would refrain. AVOID!!

Ordered jumbo platter yesterday my senses are very much heightened as im heavily pregnant, the lamb cutlets were foul the smell was horrible within 5mins of eating was violently sick so were other members of family who later ate!!! Awful place. Dont waste your money or time here. Went as a group of 8 for breakfast. The whole order was messed up and they ruined our entire morning. We waited ages for the food and then when it arrived it was all wrong or missing, a few people didn’t even receive their meals and we cancelled them. The ones who did get their food got completely different things, eggs missing, hash browns missing, vegan breakfast sent with Eggs and Halloumi! Vegans cannot eat this!!!! Plus olives missing. The waitress just dumped the food on the table and when we asked what meal it was she shrugged her shoulders and gave us a dirty look. We questioned anyone who we could see but they all seemed so confused and were passing the blame to one another. Asked to speak to a manager but no one wanted to come forward. At the time of the bill all they did was remove the service charge. I had to go up to the till and individually explain what was missing. To be fair it still was not worth what we paid. The excuse was - sorry we are busy, too many breakfasts… Sadly will not be returning here again.

The food was absolutely delicious. We wanted to swap something in the platter for something else and when I called the restaurant they were so accommodating and so polite and well mannered. Great food and service.

Good atmosphere but this place has gone downhill. Service is pretty poor and the food standard has dropped. We were served raw chicken and told this is how grilled meat is. What a joke.

Sticky tables and dirty plates. Ordered the chicken special platter. Food was the main problem. Probably the blandest and unseasoned Turkish food I’ve had. We kept having to ask for things that came with our platter like houmous, bread etc. and they weren’t even busy!?! Kofta was dry and chicken shish was not fresh. Bread looked like it had been sat on and was not fresh at all. Overall Portion were small and would not recommend. Save your money and head to Eyva in goodmayes.

A bit disappointed with the salad size, for a 4-6 people platter, the salad was for only one person,and only one flatbread. Also one of the sauces was partially frozen , I guess they keep it in the freezer and then serve per request. Not a big fan of that. Overall the selection of meats were nice

This really is a quick stop sort of casual dining place. Food taste is good, service was very good and staff attentive. Hygiene and general hospitality is pretty low, starting with a pretty sorry looking salad. They do not serve out TAP WATER even of you are paying for drinks. Service charge included in bill. Atmosphere is noisy and probably more suited to large groups. No real excitement in this restaurant.

Quality food with pleasant sitting place

Really bland and tasteless. Food lacked any sort of flavour. Very pricey too for small portions.
