I am not happy to service charge , because we are so many time eating food not to paid service charges, today my bill is £43 but me paid £48 something, me ask the reception why paid £48 something, he told me service charge £4.48, this is no good, me and my family not happy to this charge, I will try to not going next time,

I visited Wazir restaurant in Ilford and honestly didn’t find it worth the visit. The service was poor and the staff didn’t seem very attentive. The food was nothing special just standard Turkish dishes that you can get elsewhere, often better and for a more reasonable price. Speaking of price, it felt bit expensive for what was offered. The only positive is the small car park at the back, which is handy in the Ilford area. I’m sure they can improve service standard.

Date of visit:12/5. The food was bland and was overcooked. The service from the staff was non existent. What makes matters worse is that there is a non-discretionary service charge of 10%. I queried this with the member of staff who stood there trying to justify it and then became quite rude and dismissive when I explained that the service wasn't great nor the food. The food left a bad taste in my mouth as did the staff's poor attitude. I will not be returning and would encourage people to spend their money elsewhere.

When we entered food was looks fresh so we decided to to dine in . But the service they gave we are not happy at all . First when we ordered waited 10 min again a guy came and said sorry waiters couldn’t understand can you repeat and again we ordered when my daughter was hungry . Waited 10 minutes they serve dried bread and salad & when food arrived we were happy because of food was fresh and delicious . We asked tea after food .waited 15 minutes to get some tea . Completely unhappy . The waiter and waitress doing nothing and Top of everything we had to pay service charges £7.99 for £41 food what a joke . We could eat outside a meal for £7.99 . For this service do we have pay service charge . Never going again

I personally saw kebab skewers fall on the floor, and they still used them, which is absolutely unhygienic. Moreover, all the staff working there are undocumented and working illegally, which is a serious offense in this country

I went for iftar with 25 people from my family and they did not give any water to break our fast with as they do not give tap water or sell big bottles of water to share in big groups, however they state on their menu they have big bottles. Instead they charge £2.79 for a small bottle of water which they expected us to purchase 25 of them for each person to break their fast with. They have an overpriced menu and don’t offer tap water and don’t allow drinks from outside because they would rather you pay triple the price for a can of drink. They charged 10% service charge which they did not remove after several times of asking. Extremely poor customer service.

I am writing to express my absolute horror and disgust at the appalling experience I endured at Wazir in Ilford From the moment I walked in, it was a nightmare-of incompetence, negligence, I was met with staff who seemed utterly disinterested in their jobs. The hostess barely glanced at me before lazily pointing to a table—no greeting, no smile, just sheer indifference. Our waiter must have been trained by someone who actively hates customers because he Ignored us for 20 minutes before even acknowledging our existence. Waiter Disappeared for 45 minutes while we waited for the bill, forcing us to hunt him down like some kind of restaurant scavenger hunt. Is this how you treat paying customers? Or do you just assume people enjoy being neglected and disrespected Conclusion: A Complete Failure This was not just an average meal it was a complete failure on every level. The service was abysmal the food was ok very small portion indeed and the entire experience left me questioning when they charged me service charge when it’s not mandatory, the manager had no clue and argued with me for his service charge as if they had depended on it for their business. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again in my life.

Hi management, I visited the restaurant today with my family to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. Unfortunately, the service was shockingly poor. We’ve always had good experiences in the past, but today was extremely disappointing. The staff, particularly a tall white gentleman ant the till and another short guy with a large afro hair , were incredibly rude. The Indian lady who served us seemed uninterested and unhappy to be there. The restaurant was not busy, yet the staff’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. This was a stark contrast to the usual friendly service. I am very disappointed and shocked by the lack of care. Management, please address this serious lapse in customer service. We expect better, especially from a place we visit regularly. Usually, when we visit, there is an older gentleman at the front taking payments who is always friendly and welcoming. He sets a positive tone with his smile and greeting. Today, however, the absence of management was glaring. The experience was awful, and it was clear that no one was ensuring the usual standards were met.

Went there with friends. Very weird atmosphere - no privacy - the place feels like an airport or a garage turned into a fake restaurant. It's a kind of a place that's too impersonal for dating but also awkward to have a large party as tables aren't big enough to allow for a banquet where you can see and talk to everyone. Food was ok but but not the best. The drinks (I think they were called mocktails) were well over 7 pounds each and so sickly sweet that they needed to be diluted. When asked for some tap water it took the servers took well over 20 minutes to say there is no free water and you need to pay extra for the basics. Aggressive server lady forcing orders and not giving time to decide - then throwing plates around. Then the staff couldn't handle split card and cash payment and actually overcharged my group by 20 pounds. AVOID AND TAKE YOUR MONEY WHERE IT'S GOING TO BE APPRECIATED!

Overpriced!!! The seating arrangement is spacious and can accommodate a large number of guests. The food was decent, but not exceptional—I've had better Turkish cuisine, so I found it underwhelming in comparison. Service was average, yet they added a £5–£7 service charge. They don’t allow outside drinks, don’t provide tap water, and charged me £2.19 for a bottle that usually costs 25p, I found online. Overall, I found it overpriced and not worth the experience. I regret not checking reviews beforehand. That was my first—and definitely last—visit to Wazir.🫡

Wazir is a superb restaurant, conveniently located just a stone’s throw from Ilford station. There is ample parking at the rear of the establishment, which is a definite bonus. Interestingly, the rear of the restaurant is far more visually appealing than the frontage on Cranbrook Road. It certainly adds to the overall charm of the place…

Went with family for Iftaar and I was as disappointed as I could get! It was the first Saturday of Ramadhan and they were a house full with maybe around 15 staff! Food arrived late and they missed items off the platter we ordered, we had to remind them multiple times to multiple staff that they missed our ribs platter, chips, salad and chicken shish which hadn’t been delivered even after Iftaar. The staff kept repeating ‘we are understaffed loudly to each other and when prompted with the missing items on the order we were told ‘I gave your full order to kitchen on tablet I don’t know why they missed’ and the waiters just moved onto other tables without completing our order. I saw the disaapointment on peoples faces on most tables. We had what was delivered and just before leaving reminded the waiter of the food we ordered which hadn’t yet been delivered to be cancelled and they happily said OK! We ordered kawa and were told it’s now charged to which I said No problems and ordered 4 kawas and was told it’ll take 20-25 mins as kitchen is very busy. Obviously we left! Disappointed never to return again.

I booked a table for 5 for the restaurant, they sat us down in the ‘VIP’ section because they only wanted to seat larger groups in the restaurant as they were busy. They charge different prices for drinks in the ‘VIP’ section and my point was I booked to sit in the restaurant but due to them prioritising seating for bigger groups I was moved, so I shouldn’t have to pay the higher prices for the drinks as I booked online to be seated in the restaurant, so the waiter spoke to the manager who then said we have to pay the price according to where we sit and it doesn’t matter if you booked for the restaurant. Never been to a place with such a money hungry manager.

We booked in advance online for 4 whilst waiting to be seated they sat us down in the "VIP" area of the restaurant (not that we wanted to) they wanted to sit larger groups within the main restaurant. They charge different prices in the vip section which is really ANNOYING as we did not choose to be in the VIP area. we asked the staff to talk to manager as why should we pay more since they put us in the VIP as table within the restaurant was available. Manager said this is the price because we are sitting in the VIP area again (we did not ask to be seated there avoid the restaurant / "VIP section" at all costs unless you enjoy being financially penalized for sitting in a slightly different chair. There are far better restaurants in the area that offer genuine value and treat their customers with respect. Pioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, and I won't be returning. We left the restaurant not ordering food they did not care.

AVOID FOR IFTAR!!! Booked a reservation for table for 5 for iftar. When we arrived we was taken into the back room next to the shisha lounge and seated there when there was still plenty of space inside the main restaurant. We was given the shisha lounge menus not the restaurant menus the manager said it is the same menu but it is not. The drinks are double the price on the lounge menu. When we questioned the manager he didn’t care and said nothing he can do. It’s not about the money we booked a reservation for the restaurant but we was told to sit in the lounge even though there was space, we have been here multiple times and eaten inside the restaurant even when it’s busy without problems. This ruined our iftar and we did not feel comfortable eating here so we walked out without breaking our fast properly. Won’t be returning back ever again.

After breaking our fast, we called again at 6:10, only to be told the driver had another stop before ours. The food finally arrived at 6:30, yet they still insisted we pay the £3 delivery fee. To make things worse, when my dad called several times, the manager not only lied about the driver having left (which the driver himself denied) but also hung up on him. This entire experience left my dad with high blood pressure and a migraine. The food wasn’t worth the hassle.

Visited this restaurant for iftar, and what an utter disaster it was. Despite requesting our food before iftar time, it arrived cold. No bread was served, and the salad was missing. I understand peak iftar can be a busy period, but the level of disorganization was shocking. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed, and the chaos was beyond belief. What stood out most was the blatant preferential treatment given to certain white customers while Muslim diners, who had specifically come for iftar, were disregarded. Watching how the staff operated was genuinely frustrating. To make things worse, the portion sizes were disappointing for the price. This place used to be a great Turkish spot when it first opened, but it’s a shame to see it decline to this state. Honestly, I just had to laugh afterward at how bad the experience was. Definitely not worth it—avoid if you’re expecting good food or decent service

Absolute horrible ordering experience. We placed an online order for £140 as it was a large family meal. We called 15 minutes after placing the order to confirm that the order had been received in which they had confirmed it had. After an hour and 15 mins, we called asking for an update on the food and they said it was on its way. We then called another 20 minutes later and they had told us that the order actually didn't go through? So, we ordered, called to confirm, was told that the food is coming, only to find our order didn't go through 2 hours after... great stuff! Never ordering from there again, better off going sultans which is down the road!

Beware they will charge you 10% fee of the order value to give Waiter tips service without telling you if you pay buy card. Keep your eye out when they try to avoid giving you a receipts. The food was really tasty. I went in with a friend and we took the Persian Combo Platter with a Meat Feast Pizza of 12 inches. From looking at the menu, it felt like it would not be enough for portion but we were so wrong! It was so filling that we felt so full and we had to take the rest at home with a lot of left over. The only downside is that, they charge for a water or The service was good

Wazir is my favourite place for breakfast. I 110% recommend the Wazir tradition breakfast. It’s the best breakfast in the whole of the planet. The staff is super nice and the food is just top quality! Portion size is amazing for the value.

Absolutely discussed with the service and food quality. We normally go to sultans and thought we try wazir. Please avoid this place. High prices and on top of that they want a service charge. We told them to take it off and they would not I guess that is illegal. Anyways avoid this place.

This is the worst Turkish restaurant my wife and I have ever been to. - our falafel and hummus starter took a long time to arrive. This is fair enough - sometimes you have to wait longer for your food than you'd like. However, the restaurant wasn't at all busy. - the Sama Chicken Beyti Wrap tasted so disgusting we couldn't eat it. It tasted very dry, greasy and very salty. In terms of presentation - looking at the plate - the meal looked like a Tesco meal deal wrap chopped up. It was gross. - no tap water. I noticed other reviews on her highlighting the lack of tap water. I asked to speak to the manager about this and they said "as a non- licensed premises (i.e. don't sell alcohol) we are not obliged to provide free water (tap water)". I accepted this (a quick Google proved they were correct), however I told the manager that although you don't "have" to provide free water legally, you could provide if you chose, but instead you're choosing to maximise profit. I told them I've never been to a restaurant that doesn't provide tap water when asked - and the fact they don't provide tap water shows how money-grabbing the manager is. They told me "it's not about the money, it's about the quality of water. We don't have a water filter and the water is very hard here". I asked where they mean by "here" and they said "Ilford". I told the manager that this is a complete nonsense reason. I told.lntuek I grew up in Ilford and drank the "hard" rainwater everyday and it's absolutely fine. Most people in the restaurant are probably local and used to drinking the hard tap water. The manager continued to push the point and even offered me a glass of tap water so I could taste how poor quality it was. I accepted and drank the water. It tasted absolutely normal, just like regular water. The manager is a liar and a money grabber. The food is awful. DO NOT EAT HERE

Dined here during lunch time with family. The food was delicious but the waitresses were incredibly miserable. Despite several attempts to engage with them as they were standing there idly, I was met with an attitude and a burdened sense of presence. Nobody greeted us as the door or showed us to our table nor any acknowledgement when we left. Terrible service.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my 50th surprise birthday at this wonderful restaurant, lovingly arranged by my wife and daughters. From the moment we arrived, the food and service were absolutely brilliant. Every dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor, and the staff went above and beyond to make the experience truly memorable. Very nice and flavoursome food. But the service let it down. Grumpy and moody staff. No smile. They just leave drinks at the end of the table. At least put it in front of the person who ordered it. I asked for tap water also, they said they dont give tap water. They instead want you to purchase a 500ml bottle worth 20p for £2! I had to pay £7 service charge for bad service!

I can write my whole experience but it's to much so I am writing the basic point about this place WAZIR Customer is the worst you can get Food is tasteless and cold Bread is burnt and hard Salad is a joke Waitress are moody and unwelcoming I was made to pay the 10% service charge even though I refused to pay as I believe its optional but she showed me on the manu that I have to pay which I did. Little water bottles £2 each is a joke. It's the fastest £100 i sepnt and didnt even finish quarter of the biggest platter they have on the menu. Seriously, my people avoid this place.

I ordered from this restaurant twice. The first time, the samarle was tasty, though the cabbage was undercooked. I gave it another try, but the second time, the samarle had a strange sour taste, and the cabbage was still too hard. Unfortunately, the inconsistency and quality were disappointing.

It’s been 6,7 years we used to go there but last night I had the bad experience ever, nothing was same as we used to eat there portion was too small and price goes quite up now. If they put the price up then they supposed to do the platers like that but the plater wasn’t that good ,will never go there again. According to me I think the food taste is not like they were used to be 😔😔😔 I got embarrassed 😞 in front of my friends who were invited for a dinner there .

I don't normally leave reviews but i I was reading some bad ones and wanted to share my experience. Me and my 2 children went into eat dinner last minute at wood oven we live local, the staff where polite and attentive the food came out fast waiters took time to talk to my children and joke around with them it was really nice food me and my son got lamb and chicken shish and my younger fries the food was 10/10 and i thought it was reasonable prices and the atmosphere was buzzy.
