Great place to chill with a friend/friends, eating gorgeous food. Excellent vibes because of the music and relaxed way the staff are. Staff members were so helpful made me and my friend feel welcome. Gave us the rundown of the menu and suggested the beef to me. I would defo recommend. And the Boa Tempura 🍤, I only got 1x, wished I got about 3-4×, so gorgeous. I would defo go back to this place next time in Manchester. Excellent food!!

The Chicken Katsu with half and half Donburi and Loaded Fries was to die for. I was unsure about it at first, but it was delicious. Would definitely go again

No £1 tacos!!! However the pretty reasonably priced baos and donburi are tasty and filled to the brim! Also, just Beavertown, no indy craft beer anymore

Horrible, I will never return, and I’ll never recommend it. First, I ordered a wine that was listed as sweet on the menu, but they served me a dry wine. There were only 2 bar staff on a very busy evening and the wait standing at the bar was around 20 minutes. I tried to change the wine, but they told me it was correct and gave me a new glass of the same supposedly sweet wine (which was dry!) - about two sips at almost £7. The food was terrible; burnt, salty, and cheap bar food posing as asian fusion. I don’t know if the people there have no palate or just don’t care. I complained and sent the food back, but I didn’t get an apology or my money back, because you’re required to pay upfront, and it isn’t really a restaurant so I suppose the food quality isn’t important to them. I can’t recommend it, neither for being cheap nor for being good. The music was horrendously loud—I had to shout just to have a conversation! Is it a nightclub, or a restaurant, or a place to grab a drink?? Because it’s trying to be all 3 and failing at all of them. Just another Northern Quarter place where the important thing is to keep looking cool and making money instead of offering good service...

Wow, what a gem of a place. Went in on happy hour. Amazing value and quality. Super nice staff. The barman full of energy and advice was spot on. Ordered a main meal and a side of bao buns. Just superb!

Expensive drinks. Aperol spritz came in a high ball glass with single measure. Espresso martini came half measure and no coffee beans. Bar bill full price. We came to eat food but left. Had better service and food in NQ. Doors wide open...cold atmosphere. No wonder the place is empty on a Saturday night.

This place is easily a 10/10. Great food, great atmosphere, had the lovely privilege of meeting the head chef and he was awesome. 100% would come back. And I can’t say it enough, the food was SO good!!! The bartender/server was attentive in asking about allergies as well!

Katsu Curry was absolutely brilliant and very good value. Great chillout spot in the sun. One of the best fast food meals I've ever had.

Every time we spoke to bartenders they were very rude. Ordered a drink and the bartender proceeded to speak to others and not pour our drinks for another 10 minutes. We then sat outside because the atmosphere was awful. Asked where the toilet was and the bartender looked my friend up and down before responding. Would not recommend to anyone looking to have a good time.

Such a shame they changed to menu. I have visited this venue multiple times always bringing friends and raving about the food and service. Unfortunately this time we were left very disappointed. The male bar tender was rude and confrontational, choosing to chat to his mates rather than those waiting at the bar. The £1/£2 menu has been downgraded to a few bao buns. Terrible decision as the affordable tacos and baos is what kept me coming back. We ordered 3 baos in total which took over half an hour to arrive and were mediocre at best. Shame this great place has let us down, although the female bar tender was great as always. It only takes one mistake to lose a loyal customer. Hope you guys wise up to this poor choice in menu change and wait times.

Came to visit friends in Manchester- visited this bar and omg the food was amazing!! Bite size snacks which are very reasonable in price that we keep going up getting more. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area- staff are also very lovely and accommodating.

I do not recommend this place at all. The customer service was atrocious. The white guy at the bar was extremely rude and passive. The food was underwhelming, I can see why their food is priced the way it is…

Amazing food, simple menu with very helpful staff! Peach beer was so fresh, char sui fries were incredible and tacos were so affordable! £17 and me and my husband were very full!

As a group we initially went to get tacos elsewhere, but unfortunately they didn’t offer many gluten free options. Props to the lady for recommending we tried here as this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Manchester! It was so nice to be able to order per taco, so we could all try them. Prices are pretty reasonable for city centre Manchester and I enjoyed every single taco. The fries were really good too, well seasoned and crispy. Would definitely return and it’s great that we could all eat here without worrying about dietary restrictions!

Sadly, once it gets busy, expect your food to take upwards of an hour! The staff are generally unhelpful and when asked to ‘find out where the food is’ end end up appearing with plates of food in their hands like the hero’s!

Stopped here for a bottle of wine. No signs up saying they didn't take cash. Rude staff. Rude Manager. Under the principles of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the general obligations of the Licensing Act 2003, pubs should display a notice if they do not accept cash. This is to ensure that customers are not misled and can make informed decisions before attempting to make a purchase. Which I had already started. My wine was already decanted, glasses at the ready and just payment needed. While there isn't a specific mandate within these acts requiring the display of such notices, it falls under a broader duty to avoid misleading customers and ensure transparency in business practices. Displaying a clear notice about payment methods is considered good practice to comply with these legal and ethical standards. Very poor service!

Food is relatively inexpensive so can't really complain for the quality. It's good enough for the price. Be vary wary of the drinks prices - whatever you save on food, you'll lose paying £7 or £8 for a pint which you'll find for £5 in most other places locally.

Food was very average, looks the part didn't taste all that, other than the chips they are banging, I don't get why people rave about it. Service spot on though

Excellent place, with some decent outdoor seating and quirky inside decor. here several times last summer and this spring! Love sitting outside watching the hustle and bustle. Staff are hit or miss depending on whom is at the bar and how their day is faring. The extra cheap taco's are so novel and rather tasty for the cheap price and make for a great reason to come. We often come for beers and tacos. Only downside is some of the prices for beer and cider and more expensive than some competitors in the local area. For example, Somersby costs £6.22 here, where as others in the vicinity offer it at £5.60. Guessing they're making up for their cheap food menu. Overall, doesn't bother me as it's not outrageous pricing. The tacos are delicious for their price and it's a solid place to come!

Brilliant meal and great vibe. Got two tacos and a bao with loaded fries 🍟 Really good food. The tacos being mini 1 each and the bao for one, very nice. The aloe cocktail I got was small for the £10 it cost but the food over delivered on quality so I wasn't too upset 🤣. Great venue

Sunny day? Get some cheap (but really amazing tasting) tacos and baos with a nice cold pint. I’ve been to WATD a couple of times and I am always impressed, particularly, with the tacos. I would highly recommend: - Pork Pibil taco: succulent, juicy, the perfect balance of all flavours with super soft meat! - Thai Green tostada: not your regular taco, kind of reminds me of a poppadum but it’s better! You get a nice crispy base with a really savoury and cooling Thai green topping. In terms of the baos, I’ve only ever tried the Cajun Prawn Po’bao which was solid! One thing to note is that you’ll need to buy a drink when ordering food, but that’s no issue given they have a wide selection of drinks to try!

Great atmosphere here, friendly and comfy place to sit and have a pint and food. Ordered the parmasan truffle fries, notdog and beef fries. Have some great beers on draft to try.

Service Charge?! Been here several time over the years and always enjoyed the vibe and food until the confusion on our recent experience. During the evening the pints price changed for me from £6.60 to £6.93 and for my friend £5.60 to £5.88. At first we thought there was a happy hour deal we may have got lucky with, (it does not have drink price next to the draught pumps) but then as it went on I queried the changing price with the bar staff. Apparently the occasional increase was due to some staff members adding a 5% service charge to the bill when paying for a pint (that you physically ordered from the bar). I asked why this was and apparently it was due to putting the order on a table number, even though you do not provide a table number at the bar. I asked why some bar staff did this and why some hadn't that evening and the staff member could not answer. I also asked why a sign was not up next to the bar saying a 5% charge was put on when ordering pints, once again no explanation offered, although they said that it states it on the menu 5% charge added to every order . Although for me, not everyone checks a menu on arrival ordering a drink, and reviewing the menu after, this was said underneath 'everyone must order a drink. With food' suggesting this applied to food orders. Liked the place but this to me gave rip off merchant vibes by not stating you literally were being charged 5% more simply to pay for a drink at the bar?!! Will not return for that reason.

The tacos and boa buns were very tasty with some very interesting combinations like chip shop buns or pizza tacos. Good for those who like to mix up flavours and pay for how much they want.

The food here was amazing. The vibe was also pretty good. Something that I wasn't aware of is you have to buy drink with food. Only thing I didn't like about the place is staff is too quick to judge people. I was going to pay by card which is only option available. However, as I was looking in my wallet the staff saw a note. Just based on that, they thought I was going to pay in cash without realising card was in my other hand already ready for the payment. Would definitely recommend Margarita Taco and Notdog Bao.

I came here with my partner when visiting Manchester at the end of March 2023. It’s a great quirky place with a great atmosphere and staff. The small menu of tacos and bao buns an are really nice and so so cheap, drinks are a little more on the expensive side however but we really liked the place.

Love this place, the Baos, usually the service but returning today I was served by a not so friendly barmaid. She barely looked at me, spoke to me or smiled back! Somehow we managed to do the order. I was so chilled, therefore I am sure I haven't acted wrong. Hope the nice customer service is retrieved...

Fab! - we stumbled across this place on Sunday & then realised our friends had already mentioned it to us before! What great spot, the food is AMAZING. £1 boa buns which are delicious & the vegan Mac fries are to die for (im not vegan) - we had one drink here - it was delightful. Lovely & warm on a cold winters evenings and gorgeous atmosphere- Overall really great!

If you come for food and drinks is a very good deal as the food is quite cheap. You need to find your table note down the number and order at the bar. There are also spaces upstairs. The cocktails were small but tasty

I was recommended this place as a one with super tasty cheap food and well… it was cheap but small so you have to order more. Anyway, now understand the idea. It’s great for having a beer snacks. Regarding the taste some are better than others so you have to try which suits you. In general food is good but I liked the most friendly staff, the vibe and beers/drinks selection. Will be back :)

Such a nice bar and atmosphere food is also amazing, only thing is the stinky attitude from some of the staff memebers so unwelcoming, rude and condescending, if you dont like your job just go to a call centre, only one asian lady was very nice helpful and had exceptional customer service skills, such a shame as it is indeed a nice quirky little spot.

Called for the first time yesterday Simple menu but packs a flavour punch. We ordered a selection of tacos boa buns, enchiladas and chips all really tasty My only criticism would be the buns/ tacos can go cold quickly

I visited Wolf on the Wall in Manchester and had a fantastic experience. I dined solo and was pleasantly surprised by the quick service. I ordered the Black Pepper Beef Bao and House Fries, which were both delicious and served super fast. The staff was friendly and easy to chat with. What amazed me the most was the affordability of the food. The only catch is that you have to order drinks if you want food, but it's well worth it. Overall, a great spot for a quick and tasty meal. Highly recommended!

Great spot! Delicious tacos and bao, great drinks selection. The pakora were excellent! It was very busy when we were there (there was a big concert on at ao) so food took quite a while, but it was worth the wait.

What a fantastic place! £1 tacos and baos should be enough to get you through the door straight away! But as well as that there's more to the menu, we had 1 of each of the tacos and baos plus a portion of buffalo, all of which were absolutely delicious! Fantastic beer line up too. Don't miss out on this place!

A hidden gem in Manchester! The baos and tacos are delicious and some for only £1 - cannot complain! What really impressed me is the little touch in the bathroom - pads and tampons were provided. What a thoughtful gesture. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Great find. Food is amazingly cheap and mean cheap, bao buns start at a £1 and the rest is not much more expensive. At that kind of price you would think it's rubbish, but no it's great, the bao buns are small but full of flavour. There's a good selection of food and it's also good for vegans. But heres the rub, alcohol is a little pricey, you have to order a drink to have food. The place itself is buzzing and the staff are friendly and good. Pace yourself with a drink and you can have a cheap meal out. Would definitely recommend.

Fab food & drinks at great prices! We tried lots off the menu and loved everything we had. We had the salt and pepper shrimp, spicy pakoras, garlic butter fries, pork/chicken Caesar/Margherita pizza tacos and the chippy tea & pepper beef bao buns. I got to try peach lager and hazy cider which I’d never had before and liked them both 🍺Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Manchester 😊

Amazing food and the quality is consistently excellent however the staff kill the vibes and they’re so uninterested and miserable and they’re just not happy to be there at all, this place would be a hit if they had different staff.

Great bar/restaurant! Superb choice of drinks and the food is really well priced to allow you to build your own plate. Very friendly and quick service even when it got busier. Good amount of indoor seating and more outside as well
