Great food,lovely people,highly recommend this Chinese takeaway

Ordered alot of food for 5 people as a takeaway treat.....our usual Chinese is shut till the 31st, so thought give these a go......delivered on Time....food good to start with.....then the incredible taste of salt and dehydration came on. Everything laced with salt....but so much of it.....I literally felt like a slug with someone pouring salt onto me. A reduction in salt would make this food fantastic as all the flavours are there.....sticking to my usual Chinese from the 31st as a heart attack would be imminent with wokulike food......

Beef curry ( luke warm ) Fried rice ( luke warm ) Special chow mein ( luke warm ) and really not much in it apart from noodles . Chicken balls ( hot ) Pancake rolls x 4 ( hot ) had a crunch but very greasy . Bbq sauce and sweet n sour sauce were quite glutinous in texture . I cudnt heat it up which was a shame. The food itself was ok, if it was hot I would of given an extra star . I advise using the sauces as dips , don't pour them all over your food . Complimentary prawn crackers .

Disgusting place. Do not order from here. Ordered a plain chow mein, coke and crispy shredded beef. Beef was way too vinegary and hardly any meat. Chow mein was not plan either! Came with vegetables which we did not order. Called to ask if they would take it back and was very rude on the phone. Would not allow us to take it back and wouldn’t give a refund as they assumed that the chow mein was correct rather than asking for any photos or even willing to be bloody polite on the phone!! Do not bother with this place!!😡

Absolutely disgraceful, I wouldn't give any stars... tried to overcharge me 3 times, then I was astounded when the food arrived... I had paid £7 for fried rice which was in one of the small plastic tubs, usually for that money you At least get a large portion. Also no egg in it , why is it years ago egg fried rice had egg in it and was Fried... not now because they all use MICROWAVES ... they deny it but we're not idiots we know when it's fresh or not!!! The pot of curry sauce was so small not enough for rice. King prawns were soggy. I would never allow myself to get ripped off like this again... disgraceful!!! Wok u like is nothing like it was 20 years ago which is a shame.

Ive had deliveries, but stopped off on my way home for a change....so glad I did. Theyre such lovely people, accommodated by chilli addiction but generously adding it to everything. Portions are big, and quality is great. Thank you.

The best Chinese in Hastings! My family have been using Wok You Like for years and years at most family get togethers. I have tried other Chinese in the area but none compare. Thank you for hot, fresh and very tasty food every time

Great Chinese food. Reasonably priced, fast, hot and really tasty. Been ordering from here for a couple of years now and can say these guys are really good.

Waited almost an hour and a half for delivery and when the food came the portions were really small compared to when I've ordered previously and not very nice. Also, the price they charged was over £5 to the prices on their menu. When I queried this i was told it was an old menu however they delivered it this week. Rip off.

HAS THERE BEEN A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP. The portions have shrunk dramatically being a customer for many years. No mention of this when you visit or order gone also are the fortune cookies. Maybe time to try the local opposition to see if they offer better value for money as some posts are so small you might be tempted to order more portions real shame was a real gem over the years.

One star is too much. Waited almost 2 hours for delivery. The food was not worth the wait. Lukewarm, greasy and disgusting. Threw the food straight into the bin. Please don't waste your time or money.

An excellent small 'Mom & Pop' Chinese takeaway. My wife and I were passing and we decided to purchase a take-away from here. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long, even though there was a constant stream of delivery guys coming in and out! When we got home we found that food was really very good, and the price we paid was very reasonable. Subsequently, we have the delivery service is very good too. The parking on Norman Road is not easy so unless you can get there on foot it is best you go for a delivery.

Worst food ever I ordered from here and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I see the food that arrived the chicken in the Chow main was actually slimy me and my family we didn’t eat it I gave it to the dog and the Chow main didn’t have no beansprouts in the chicken in black bean sauce had about four pieces of what is meant to be chicken in it be aware this shop is disgusting I did speak with the owner and she did refund me for 3 items because they knew how bad it was really I should’ve have got a full refundThey did ask if I wanted my order again and there is no way I would ever eat out of this place

Not the best Chinese locally however it's all cooked from fresh and sits at a reasonable price. Would recommend collecting rather than getting delivery!

We have a takeaway from here every 2 weeks, never again. Last time we were I'll after our meal but said try once more. We ordered at opening time , my curry was cold and just tasted of powder,spices not cooked out.prawn crackers had no taste and other halves chicken was pork

We normally order from here 3 to 4 times a month with no problems. Today was totally different. They took 15 mins to answer phone,I put in an order and was told we are very busy is 90 minutes ok. Said yes as like their food. Well never again. Part of order missing and when I phoned to tell them was told it will be 2 hours. I said no and was offered a free portion of chips next time I ordered! My normal spicy food was soo cold and bland. Sorry but you have lost our custom, will be trying one in Queens Road tomorrow

Very good Chinese although the ribs are pretty awful. Mostly knuckle ends . Very good hot and sour soup !

Not bad, not great either. There are better Chinese takeaways locally. I ordered the king prawn chow-mein, which included the sum of 3 or 4 prawns, some sliced onion and a mass of fried noodles. A few additional prawns and some vegetables would have improved the otherwise OK dish.

You enter the place “hellooo, wok u like” brings a smile to my face every time. This takeaway is by far the best Chinese takeaway in the whole of Hastings and bexhill. The fact someone has claimed they over season their food and has given bad review because of it just shows how good it is and it’s not for beginners. Me and my dad are qualified fat people so we know what are talking about. My favourite is kungpo chicken and egg fried rice while my dad gets sweet and sour chicken balls and a portion of chips highly recommend both. The chow mien includes little or even no bean sprouts a testament to other takeaways in the area that makes them look, for lack of a better phase, piss poor as they all just fill up everything with bean sprouts and vegetables. You’ll never find this from wok u like if you ask for a dish with meat or fish that’s what you’ll get sweet and salty a fat persons dream. You know I genuinely feel bad for people who think this is a bad takeaway because they are left with the others and that’s not acceptable so if you have read a bad review I want you to think over-wise. I’ve ordered from here for years I tried others when they are shut for holidays and it left me questioning why I didn’t just walk around to the co op instead. My recommendation is you go pick it up yourself as they prefer you’d do that if you do them a favour they’ll do you one. All staff are friendly if you are, genuine people not blanketed by this country’s customer service bs. And for that I love them. As long as they are in business I’ll order from here. Love you guys xx

Celebrating with a few beers over Christmas, this place was right by the pub so ordered a meal for 2. Food was very good, leftovers for breakfast too, and we went back again later in the week. Good Chinese.

Used to love this takeaway but for 3rd time wrong order and overcharged at door. Tried to phone but no answer. Lost our trade. Reply would be nice plus money back from over charging

Very very disappointing take away! Egg fried rice bland, chicken chow mein anaemic looking, with no bean sprouts, king prawn balls, batter not cooked, basically just stodge, even the sweet and sour sauce was cold! The only decent thing was the prawn crackers!

Usually good but tonight's was awful. Sweet and sour sauce was disgusting like watered down gravy, chow mein was sloppy. Really changed since last time I ordered.

This is one of the best Chinese take aways in the area. Generous portions, really tasty food and friendly service. The banana and pineapple fritters are delicious if you have room for a sweet.

I thought a Chinese meal for valentine's day would be just the ticket. I ordered beef chow mein(the noodles were slimy and the beef looked synthetic) Chicken curry(had king prawns,pork, and beef) Mixed starter(looked like someone had sh#t in the tub) Sweet and sour chicken(which had prawns in it and pork) All in all i will never eat there again. And i left my dinner It was £10 more expensive for total cr#p DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL

Very ordinary food, usual greasy and over seasoned stuff. Ordered a takeaway once that never even turned up, phoned them a couple of times and they couldn’t find the address despite giving directions and just abandoned the order without even telling us. I only use it as it’s handy location if in central St Leonards.

I only go to this place because they sell the BEST spring rolls on earth. Everything else is average, and most dishes are very sugary and salty.

We've used this take away many times over the last 5 years and have always been happy with the food. Great customer service, as we often request for our dishes to be slightly adapted, and this has always been done without any problems. Most recent visit was with friends and all of our dishes tasted excellent and were piping hot.

Brilliant Chinese and reasonably priced. Delivery took over an hour-and-an-half - when I rang I was told "your order said not before 8pm"? Not to the best of my knowledge.

Good food at reasonable prices and cooked fast. Has been the only chinese take away we have used since 2010. Was sad when they had a fire which devastated the shop but it's all rebuilt and back in business now. Portions are big so be careful not to order too much set meals for 1 feed 2 of us over 2 days

We order from this take away at least once a month and find the food very well cooked and tasty. It is certainly the best take-away Chinese meal we have had locally & they deliver too.

I love this place. One of my favourite Chinese takeaways in town. Christy Chilly beef and Singapore hot noodles are delicious. They cook and deliver very quickly. The portions were large and great value for money. There have an extensive menu. I have always found very thing I ordered hot and delicious. I have only very had take away delivered from them. They are great value for money. One word from me, Excellent.

Order came in a reasonable time, but was cold when it arrived and the salted battered prawns were soggy and underwhelming, and the other meal was wrong, it was meant to be chicken in mushrooms, and contained no mushrooms..

used this place for over 8years all ways been nice all ways got orders right .but this time was not happy we had about 3 itams missing ,we told them they arranged bring rest stuff by time rung us said stuff on its way we felt didnt want no more told them forget about it tell delivery man not bother and all so wok u blamed us said we didnt order this that and we did we all ready had spent nearly 50 pound ,think right thing they should admitted they was in wronge delived the rest food missed out not charged us anymore ,i will still use the place as food is nice there but like say lisen get orders right in future plus not blame other customers say they are wronge

I've been using Wok u Like for nearly 30 years, IMO its one of the best Chinese takeaways in this area. Food is excellent quality and service is very good. If you're ordering on a weekend be prepared for a wait. They get very busy.

Oh dear! So unhappy with the chinese l ordered tonight. Batter way too thick on prawn balls...special rice stodgy and honey spare ribs so chewy. Only edible thing was the seaweed! Ordered here before and it was fine...won't be risking it again

Salt and pepper squid tasted sweet. Half a crispy duck was just a small tub of dry chewy cardboard like substance. I really wouldn't bother if your thinking about going here.

We came across this Chinese whilst out walking and placed an order for delivery. The best thing was how hot it was. The food itself was not the best, the egg fried rice & noodles tasted cheap and all the chicken options were fried.

We decided to order in as there were four of us...we ordered fifty pounds worth and we were very disappointed to say the least, after waiting for an hour the food was finally delivered...everything was cold, the seaweed was disgusting, the chicken curry had hardly any chicken....I could say something about every dish to be honest ...I rang them and all they said was sorry! Not good enough I'm afraid, never again!
