From the minute we entered the restaurant to a totally lacklustre welcome we could tell it wasn’t going to be the special night out we had envisaged. The waitress really made us feel like we were a total inconvenience. She didn’t smile once during our visit. Without being personal one other member of staff was a very strange individual and very hard to understand. One main course was really disappointing and tasteless but we were afraid to say anything. If it wasn’t for the fact we were using a voucher that was near the expiry we would have left. Sadly we don’t get to meet up very often and left feeling really deflated. Safe to say we won’t be returning.

I must have been to 50 Hilton’s round the world and had a reasonable expectation of this place especially based on the hotels website . We went to the restaurant for lunch and after checking in the morning before we turned up but the restaurant was closed and we had to eat in the bar . Firstly we had to spell Rioja to the bar person ….. then we attempted to order lunch and more wine . The food was terrible , my clients food was served cold , they said they would replace it , but only zapped and sent it back. Awful experience avoid at all costs , this place is not suitable for client lunches . Try a good pub lunch nearby. I would never go back and be wary of all Hilton products moving forward.

Recently reopened restaurant at the Hilton Euston, this lovey place was sadly empty of guests so we were hesitant to try it but glad we did. Jet lagged we decided to eat at the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised to get an outstanding meal. Buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad was excellent as was the warm smoked mackerel and potato first course. Fish and chips very good and so was the grilled chicken. Delicious cocktails. Hope this nice restaurant gets busier.

I took my daughter for afternoon tea at Woburn Place on a Saturday afternoon and the first surprise was that the restaurant was completely empty. Sadly it made what should be either an elegant or cosy occasion a little soulless. The afternoon tea itself was ok except that for the two of us there were three “finger” sandwiches with three different fillings (9 “fingers” in all). The fillings were fairly standard but all the bread was white and didn’t seem to be particularly good quality. The cakes were rather nice and unusual with small triangles of cheesecake. The scones were lovely and crumbly. Good choice of coffees and teas. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I think if they had seated us in the lounge bar area, which we saw other people directed to, it would have been a nicer experience.

Came here for a quick bite before attending a nearby Xmas Carol concert and was pleasantly surprised by the cosy, festive ambience and varied menu choices. Whilst seated on a comfy sofa, we tucked in to tasty fish and chips followed by a chocolate mousse pudding, all washed down with a fairly decent glass of house red, £30 ish for two with a gourmet card offer of 50% on food only. Not bad! Would definitely come again.

This restaurant is in a beautiful room, but they aren't always open. My colleague and i went for dinner at 6 pm and told they did not open until 7 pm (odd). We were let into the restaurant at 7 pm, and 15 minutes later we were told that they were not open that night. No reason given. If you can't trust that a restaurant will be open when they say they will be open, why go there? Skip this, you just don't know if they will be open.

Excellent place. Outstanding staff. All this reflects on fantastic work of managers in this place in particular Bogan or Bogdan can't remember well. My wife wants us to go back asap. Many thanks

An afternoon celebration which ticked more than a few boxes! Fantastic set up, service and the food was delicious. 5 star treatment! The staff were approachable and extremely accommodating. I am gluten free and it was the best afternoon tea I have ever had and the rest of our guests thoroughly enjoyed theirs too. The table setting was beautiful. I posted decorations in advance and the staff did a fantastic job in creating the wow factor when we walked into our reserved area. Nothing was too much trouble and I couldn't have wished for a better place to host my sisters baby shower. Thank you.

We had a meal here on our 1 night stay before going to paris the next morning and we're glad we did. The food was divine and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. We were really impressed by the aesthetic of the restaurant and very impressed with the polite staff. The only thing i could fault them on was the very long wait for the food even though there was only one other group of people dining at the restaurant. But it happens so no worries! We would definitely come again.

I booked afternoon tea back in March for my parents upcoming trip to London for their 40th anniversary in June. We arrived at the hotel on the day only to be told that our booking had been cancelled and that we couldn't have our afternoon tea due to a meeting booking out the room. We were extremely disappointed as there were 3 months prior to this that we could have been contacted to which this had not been done. We left disappointed and I shared these thoughts with the general manager via email. She swiftly fixed the issue and apologised profusely. She invited us for an evening meal at the Woburn which was delightful. The food flavour and presentation was of a high calibre as was our young canadian waiter that night. I had the mushroom and asparagus mille foille, and pork 3 ways which were probably the best dishes I ate on my trip to London. I'm very grateful that a negative turned into such a great positive and will happily given them another go if I get to return to London. Thanks again.

I was looking for a pleasant hotel Tea experience and I saw this place advertised on afternoontea.co.uk at a reasonable price so I thought I'd give it a try.On arriving there was only one other person in the dining room (a rather pleasant Victorian conservatory) so it was a bit quiet. I was given the choice of tables and handed a menu. I asked for a glass of tap water and the waiter asked if I wanted ice and lemon in it (I didn't but it was a nice touch). When my water was brought my order was taken and my crockery and cutlery changed and rearranged for Tea (all done fairly unobtrusively). The tea selection is somewhat limited so I chose green tea. Unusually, each diner can choose only two varieties of sandwich from a list and I chose smoked salmon and cream cheese and pastrami and horseradish. My waiter asked if I wanted my tea brought now or served with my food. Again, a thoughtful touch. The sandwiches were generously filled and very tasty. The scones were warm, the cream firm and the raspberry jam Wilkin and Sons. The chocolate brownie was very rich, the éclair filled with chocolate flavoured cream, there was something that was mostly cream and a little flan with tangerine(?) segments. My teapot was happily topped up with hot water. There was a lot to like about this Tea - very pleasant setting, impeccable service and reasonably priced (£15 for one, £25 for two (plus 10% service)) and I think it would suit many people. I found it a little too sweet, a little too heavy on cream and a little too unchallenging. Having said that, that probably makes it ideal for those nervous about dipping their toes in to the world of Afternoon Tea and would be an ideal place to start.

We often find that we can find a more leisurely lunch in a hotel than in a restaurant, and this was no exception. We were well looked after from the start and the food was excellent value - a 2 course lunch for £16.95 in central London! The ambience of the restaurant was super.

My Mum and I visited the Woburn Place Restaurant at the Euston Hilton Hotel in early December 2014 for afternoon tea with champagne. It cost just £32 for the two of us and included a choice of sandwiches, we had smoked salmon and cream cheese, pastrami and ham and mustard. It included a selection of petits fours and also some beautiful small scones, served with cream and jam, which we had trouble fitting in after eating all of the other things. We enjoyed two pots of tea, and then a glass of champagne each. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and Mia was very warm and cheerful as well as making sure we had everything we needed. We came off a train at Euston and in just 3 minutes we were seated in the beautiful dining room. This was a special treat for my Mum and I and it was a great addition to our couple of days in London. We booked this through afternoontea.co.uk . Highly recommended.

Overall the food was excellent that the service was very good. I will say that the fish and chips with mushy peas was a terrible disappointment. Very soggy fish and about 5 chips. The other food was all excellent.

We were looking forward to nice weekend away in London and to start it all off with a nice meal...... We visited on a Friday evening and the restaurant was very quiet, only 3 tables were in use. The service to begin with was ok. Food was well cooked but the proportions were terrible i.e. a decent portion of lamb with a couple of vegetables and a smear of mash potato. Service was non-exisitant after the main course even though there were 3 waiters on duty and only 3 tables to serve. The desert, bakewell tart, was served with custard in a pot that had just come out of the fridge. After 10 minutes of trying to gain a waiters attention to complain about this we decided to leave. We certainly will not be returning and will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. Although our weekend started on a bad note the rest of the time made up for this poor experience.
