Wiwo in Cardiff

It’s a bit dim inside but the food and service are great. They’re not stingy with the toppings either. I’d recommend the duck.

Ordered duck in a rice box, didn't get the sauce we asked for and there were also bits of prawn that were definitely not asked for and it smelled very strongly of prawn too. It was not what we ordered at all and for the price you're paying it was extremely disappointing.

Delivery was late. Items were missing. Promised new meal would be sent out but received only the missing item an hour after calling. Disappointing.

Really disappointed! Ordered egg noodles & rice with chicken, brocolli and mushroom with katsu curry sauce. They 100% forgot about the sauce. It was the most flavourless Chinese I’ve ever had! It was so bland! It seemed to be reheated, as the rice and noodles were soggy and overly wet, only 2 pieces of brocolli and around 8 pieces of chicken.. for a massive box it was pointless! This place is so expensive too it was over £10 for my noodle box… never ever again! You’re better off going to a traditional Chinese and making your own noodle box from selected items on menu.

Ordered two boxes of noodles the other night for home delivery. Each box cost me around £10-11. Wow was I shocked when I opened these boxes, both of them were half full as you can see in the pictures. For £10 you get a half full box of noodles it’s crazy 😂. I’ve ordered from them numerous times before and their food is always really good so there was nothing wrong in terms of taste but the portion size was just disgusting and wrong. I called the restaurant and they told me that their boxes are bigger now that’s why they were both half full. The boxes were the exact same size as before disgusting…. Will be sticking to Wok To Walk going forward.

I ordered at 6pm 2 meals with no meat as we are vegetarian, the order came only to find meat in. I used the live chat on deliveroo and they arranged a new delivery. Once again we found meat in both meals, it’s now 21:30 and despite 2 deliveries still have not eaten. We haven’t eaten meat for years, thank you Wiwo for ruining that as we’d both taken a few mouthfuls of the first order before we realised. Managed to get the payment cancelled through deliveroo but that doesn’t make up for the fact we’ve now eaten meat. Do not order from here if you are vegetarian, disgusting service

The worst take away I experienced ordered food 2 hours ago , and the food arrived late by 2 hours burnt and tasteless and I found a hair , the driver couldn’t understand my directions despite my house being easily found by other delivery drivers , they charged me for drinks not included and cream 500 ml but only a small tap of 125 ml arrived absolutely horrible, avoid avoid avoid

Took over an hour to deliver (within half a mile.) Told me it would be there within ten minutes twice, it wasn't. When it did arrive, one of the noodle boxes was missing half the ingredients I paid for. What did arrive was ok, but not what I ordered and far too slow for a noodle bar.

Absolutely love this place and have now been enjoying a wiwo for over 5 years 😀 Katsu curry noodle box with duck and brocoli is my fave 😋

Avoid. Ordered food on-line over hour and half ago, monies been taken but no delivery and they're not answering calls. Update 27/6/23 - food never arrived and Wiwo never responded to messages, but refund was received.

Wiwo Noodle Bar in Cathays, Cardiff is a great place to go for a quick and delicious meal. The menu has a wide variety of pan-Asian dishes to choose from, and the food is always fresh and flavorful. I recently tried the noodles with beef and black bean and soy sauce, and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this dish to anyone who is looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. In addition to the great food, Wiwo Noodle Bar also has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Surprisingly big portion and very good food. The duck was tender; the vegetables soft but with a satisfying bite. Can’t fault it, you really do get good bang for your buck.

The worst experience I have ever had. I ordered online directly through their website and I've been waiting for my order for more than 2.5 hours and it's still nowhere. I have called them twice and they assured me my order will be with me soon. Avoid this place if you want to eat ANYTHING at all.

Not good at all 7 people of us eat in and non of them like the food. Non of us finished our food can't believe. Never again

Alright, so I just got back from Wiwo...and I don't often do this but the food tasted burned and almost sour... I had the same meal just two weeks ago and it tasted just fine but this time the difference was distinct. But the thing that really got to me, was the hair I found drenched in sauce in my food... ended up throwing the rest away due to the taste and the obvious disregard of hygiene.

Terrible service. Order did not arrive as delivery driver could not find my address. I phoned to check and the address I had put down was the correct one. I spoke to a lady called NAYA who was extremely rude and said I would not be having my order as it's on its way back now. At this point I didn't even want the order and was asking for a refund for this lady to over talk me and put the phone down on me without confirming I would receive my refund. It took me ages to get back through as my calls where then being ignored. I will not be ordering again from Wiwo as every time I have there has been countless of issues with the delivery. On top of the delivery issues the customer service is disgusting!

Haven't been here for a while, thought I'd try tonight. I shouldn't have, asked specifically for no veg (cabbage, onion, beansprouts etc..) came with all that, tried picking it out but gave up after 2 mins as the noodle box didn't even taste worth it..

My daughter carry out noodles and spring rolls but the noodles very salty, gone straight to bin and what a waste of money , not impress

I’m giving one star because I can’t give any lower. I ate here on Saturday night and a few hours later had diarrhoea and was throwing up and still feel ill today. Don’t eat here unless you want to chance getting food poisoning. Should be shut down.

This place is amazing! The food is incredible, we’ve just left there and wow, we can’t wait to come back. The staff are really lovely and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough :)

A very reward dismissive counter staff with beard and pony tail ,wouldn’t explain the menu made me feel uncomfortable and tried to over charger me , when the food was being prepared he kept touching his nose then the food it was all very disgusting to watch and unhygienic the kitchen was a mess looking throw the clear screen , I didn’t eat the food ,FOOD Poisoning

Probably the best meal iv had from wiwo tonight. I usually get takeaway but this time ordered via just justeat. The driver was quick & friendly. The Food was spectacular, especially the sides - we had duck spring rolls, katsu coated veg & panko prawns.

Ordered a few weeks ago the two girls on the counter seemed really disorganised and there was an argument taking place, the guy seemed to just be telling the staff how to do the job properly but they then were just rude and dismissive towards me. Massive red flag for me was the one girl serving the food had long black hair and it wasn't tied back it was just hanging over all the food.

Absolutely flabbergasted by the service, almost an hour late and the women on the phone was so unhelpful. When asked for a refund, was told it was only possible if she cancelled the very late order! This was meant to be a family evening but completely ruined by the wait and rudeness of the company! Would definitely not recommend unless your happy to be in for a long wait!

Absolutely horrendous. Ordered at 5,30 for a 7.15-45 delivery- arrived 8.25. Called at 7.55 told 9 mins away. Told the delivery left 14mins ago even though I received a notification 25mins before that saying it was on the way. Called back, to cancel and was met with woman on the phone. Told by manager "it's not us, we get 7 mins to prepare when the driver arrives" the driver told me that "I am just the driver". Can't get over the lies and the disgustingly dismissive and rude European woman I spoke to on the poisons. Kept huffing at me! I kept calling and they ignored my call but when I called from my partners phone they answered immediately! Not the first time I've had a situation like this with this horrendous takeaway!

Portions very small ,curry sauce more like a dip, all very salty and smaller than a happy meal. Disgusting service and price

I went here on my lunch break, It tasted decent. I thought the price was very reasonable for the portion size. 2 hours later I was profusely throwing up. The sickness passed pretty quickly and I’m fine now but am concerned about the hygiene of this place.

I've had some issues in the past with online orders, but I think the problem is is there is not the proper options on delivery websites that is not their own. I wish they would correct this. But whenever I have called for clarification or allergies, they have been amazing.

Order never arrived at 21:25. Called and they said the order was out. Two hours later and still no food. Now they are closed.

Amazing as ever.......you must try the chilli and Peper chips.......proper fast food, choose. Watch it cook. Eat it from the box........fantastic, ultimately customizable........and trust me on the chips.

Scheduled order at 5:50pm via uber eats for 7-7:30 delivery, had notification to say food should arrive 7:10-7:30, I called them at 8:02 as food hadn't arrived to be told they would call the driver to check and call me back. WIWO called at 8:16 to say it seems the order was 'lost as the driver didn't have it and they would re send it as a priority with a complimentary side'. At 9:01 I called as it had been 45mins to be told he would check with his manager, at this point I overheard the conversation only to hear it was still waiting to be delivered and it would be sent out now as they had a driver. At 21:37 I called again as it should only take 15mins journey time and it had been 45mins, during the call a second member of staff called the driver to check where he was and he said they were two minutes away. The food finally arrived at 21:43, the driver was evasive at how long he had the food for, it seems they had far too many orders and not enough drivers and lied about it being on the way when it was sat waiting to be sent out. The food was ok, but some of it wasn't particularly warm and the spring rolls had gone soft. It had been 45mins after speaking to them so I'm not sure how long it had actually been sat for before reaching us.

A surprisingly bad experience from somewhere that week in/Week out has usually been pretty good!. Usually order via UberEATS but lastnight decided to try via the website. Ordered our usual £33 worth at 19:54 to be delivered at 20:32. Didnt arrive so called at 20:54 and was told the food had left and that complimentary drinks had been added for the inconvenience - Wicked! We are understanding people!... 21:15 food still had not arrived so we called again - Was then told food was only now just leaving?.. but it had supposed to have left at 20:54???... Anyway food eventually arrived at 21:30, luke warm with no drinks :/ ...... Never the less the bin enjoyed half of it and I settled for 2 rounds of toast! Driver confirmed he hadn't been given any drinks for us......

Extremely rude man behind the service desk speaking at a barely audible level, I would understand if he was wearing a facemask as per guidelines but he wasnt, he told me to 'wait' when trying to order (there was no one else in the store) after putting my order in he then tried to overcharge me and when I pointed this out he made no attempt to apologise and just said 'oh yeah' at this point I left, some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced

It was my first time at Wiwo and it will be my last. The menu looked really enticing but everything I ordered was really bad. Enough said.

Server finished his break, didnt sanitise his hands at all and kept wiping his nose with his hands then touching our food and the phones. We ordered 3 meals and only got 2, only realised after we got home. They also got one of those orders wrong too.

I ordered Rice noodles with Chicken, Cashews, peppers and Peanut satay sauce with a side of Panku prawns. Thought it was a bit expensive to start at £12+... but when i tasted them they were worth every penny. I called the shop first to check the noodle type (i only like thin) and was advised to try the Rice (like a pad thai - think and wide white). Placed my order online and it was delivered very quickly.... they even gave an extra dish of noodles (I think this was a mistake but yay for me). My Noodles and prawns were super fresh and tasty ! will definitely order again.

I was told I’d receive my order at 5:45 and the food didn’t arrive till 6:45 ... I waited nearly 2 hours after placing my order. The food arrived and was terrible and very expensive. You’d assume that paying £8 for a katsu curry takeaway the food would be relatively nice ... think wrong. The chicken was under cooked an the breadcrumbs on the chicken were soggy, the rice tasted of fish and the chips were undercooked and soggy. Really disappointed and won’t be ordering again.

Found multiple hairs in my food. This was during the Covid pandemic too; irresponsible, disgusting and unacceptable.

The food is okay if it ever gets delivered. TWICE out of the three times i ordered they didn't deliver the food. This is disgusting. I had waited nearly two hours and they didnt call me or try even once. I could have cancelled and ordered different food if they gave me notice.

Ordered food at 1pm and expected delivery time was 1.44pm and phoned at 2 and they said food will be 2mins so phoned back 10 mins later wland was told 30 more mins. Attitude on phone was not great, had to work rest of the day with no lunch

First time trying Wiwo. Price is reasonable, however it was bland and the half of the box was full of oil/liquid. It was only until I drained it out I was able to actually eat the noodles. First and last time!!!

Mi médico estuvo de acuerdo después de que me diagnosticaron una enfermedad y fiebre durante 3 a 4 días, seguido de un latigazo cervical distinto. El restaurante no se responsabilizó y no pude más que pedir perdón y "en 7 años no hemos tenido ningún problema". Los errores suceden y lo hicieron esta vez. Ciertamente no volveré a comer allí y haré todo lo posible para asegurar que nadie más sufra el mismo destino. La falta de educación con respecto a garantizar que los hongos se cocinen adecuadamente para evitar esta reacción, recojo hongos silvestres forrajeados durante todo el año y he comido más de 50 especies sin efectos nocivos, incluido el shiitake de cosecha propia. Necesitan mirar sus prácticas y aceptar la responsabilidad de su error.

This is my usual Chinese takeaway, food is always hot, great range of gluten free and vegan dishes available as well.

Absolutely loved this. Usually do this as a takeaway due to parking. Food still hot when I got home. Worth planning what you want before you go in as its overwhelming the number of combinations. Great for gluten free, diary free and vegan as you can adapt the options to suit. Reasonably priced. Large portion. Fast service. Been there several times since.

Tasted like cat food. Dreadful. Expensive. Don't bother. Instant noodles are better.

Great lunch deal available here if you haven’t tried it is a must you will not be disappointed. My fav is Udon duck teriyaki

Service was outstanding. John went out his way to give us great service, gave us tasters to try before we buy, had plenty of light banter to make it an enjoyable service and even gave us spring rolls on the house. Best service I've had from this restaurant and will definitely come back!

Los tres caballeros detrás del mostrador parecían desaliñados, y un cuarto empleado estaba cenando ruidosamente junto a los clientes. La comida en sí no es tan mala, pero no es particularmente buena relación calidad-precio. El lugar se ve en mal estado y sucio. No lo recomendaría a otros.

The noodles tasted really good and it was nice and hot I enjoyed it. All the sauces and chickens we too tasty this could be a favourite of mine.

Aunque mi hija tiene una intolerancia / alergia a los hongos, identificamos en el almuerzo de error los hongos cocidos.

Waited an hour and 40 minutes and food was cold!! Gave me £4 off, how ridiculous!! Never again! Also 2/3 of us were ill the next day
