Went in for dinner twice plus drinks and one breakfast. Was not disappointed. You know Wetherspoons is doing something right when you go in at 6pm for dinner and the place is packed. Lovely food, amazing drinks menu and all excellent value.

Before starting a week's holiday in the beautiful Spanish city of Seville my twin brother and I decided to have a day out in Liverpool City Centre visiting some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for, the first pub we visited was The Welkin Pub. This is a great Wetherspoon pub, its set over two floors, great looking serving bar's on both floors, typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets that make up the Cavern Quarter of Liverpool. We got here about 9am, even at this time the pub was busy with a good atmosphere, we opted for the unlimited tea and coffee option, we luckily managed to get an alcove table upstairs were we enjoyed tea's,coffee's and hot chocolate's ,it was really good planning out the day ahead while enjoying our hot drinks, couldn't fault anything about our visit here, can't wait to go again next time we're in Liverpool City Centre after our week's holiday in Seville. The Welkin Pub is easy to locate along Whitechapel in the famous Cavern Quarter district of Liverpool. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 8am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Popped into The Welkin for a drink before going to the Cavern club whilst on a weekend break. It’s situated around the corner from the Cabern club and in the centre of the shopping area of Liverpool. In a way it’s much like many other spoons I’ve been in but the difference is the staff. The place was spotless and as soon as someone left the table was cleared and cleaned. No big piles on one table like you see in many. Food seemed to be being served in a good timeframe. Would be a good place to have a few drinks before a show or gig.

Good Wetherspoons, food was served quickly although the burger was on the small side. Plenty of seating and a good choice of food and drinks.

Up,out and about on a beautiful sunny July morning, my twin brother and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre to visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for, one of the first pubs we visited was The Welkin Pub. This is a big city centre Wetherspoon pub,interior is superb, set over two floors, a serving bar on both floors,typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside, its just a great pub to unwind in. We ordered a breakfast each and the unlimited tea and coffee offer ,coffee was superb and quite a big choice,cappuccinos was delicious ,after a short wait and breakfasts arrived and what a treat,eggs,bacon ,sausage, hash browns,beans ,tomato and mushroom served with toast ,a perfect start to our day out . We really enjoyed our breakfasts and coffee's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to The Welkin Pub we had a great time. The Welkin Pub is easy to locate along Whitechapel. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 8am till 11.30pm. Friday & Saturday, 8am till 1am. Sunday, 8am till 11.30pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The pub is good but there is one staff member In particular that was quite rude. Running round pushing past people not even saying excuse me. Served my food to me and was even more rude. Was not a happy customer to say the least.

This wetherspoons is in an ideal location, central to all the shops and on the door to the cavern club and various bars.

Recently visited The Welkin (been literally dozens of times) and I really don't know what people expect. It was the night of the Liverpool v Arsenal game so the place was a bit busier than normal, but I waited no longer that 2-3 minutes to be served. The staff are always on the ball with their service. As for the food, you are in a cheap eatery! If you want 5 star gourmet food go around the Albert Dock, don't come to a pub, pay pub prices and expect a Michelin star dish. Champagne taste, lemonade pockets some of them posting on here!

We used the wetherspoons app to order. Food took a long time to arrive but was worth the wait. Hot and delicious. Busy inside but we found a table ok. Staff were nice and friendly.

It's in a good location with easy access from the street, it's a long room with an upstairs. The staff even though very busy where pleasant and helpful and seemed to cope well.wevhad the chicken special which was good for the money, and we did not have to wait long to be served.

We each decided on a pizza, two of us ordered Hawaiian and one a meat feast. When the woman server brought our pizzas I noticed there was only a few pieces of pineapple on each of the two Hawaiian pizzas, so the server took them back. I expected to be given different freshly cooked pizzas which had ham on this time, but no, they just sent it back to the kitchen where they obviously just threw a few pieces of cold ham then sent it back to us, so by the time it came back it was cold. No-one cared they were serving cold pizzas or that they couldnt even put the correct toppings on a pizza. Would not recommend whatsoever.

We spent an amazing few days in Liverpool. Unfortunately went to weatherspoons for a late breakfast unaware of the nationwide reputation of horrendous food. unfriendly staff and food was worse than poor, I know it’s cheap but when you both become ill afterwards I’d rather pay extra for decent food that doesn’t make you sick. Avoid at all costs and if it’s cheap & cheerful you want go to McDonald’s.

Great place for a well deserved break from big city shopping, a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, great range of food and drink at affordable prices, friendly service and great pub style food .

The whole country knows Wetherspoons. Cheap, high calorie food. The venues are all pretty similar, no music, just full of people looking to consume at cheap prices. I ordered 3 small plates for £10.25. First up "Nachos", should be called crisps, cheese and Doritos dip. Second, BBQ Pizza, it was burnt and rather sad looking. Third, Chicken Strips. They were nice but out of a freezer and into a fryer. The best part about my meal was the refillable coffee though. I rate that. I only go to Spoons when I can't decide what I want and tend to always regret it, but the damage to your pocket is minimal.
