Moonlight (Crosby) in Sefton

Tried to call the restaurant and they answered then buttoned the call and when I tried to redial it’s now engaged. Ordered £30 of food and it’s nearly half an hour late and I have no way to check to see what is going on.

Food was late food come cold and they forgot the loaded fries which had to wait a further 20 mins for it to come and it was very cold when arrived. The man on the phone was rude did not even apologise

this is our favourite take away and we are regulars, but unfortunately we will be ordering elsewhere from now on. our last order arrived an hour an 20 mins late, and cold. it's the 3rd order we've been unhappy with due to really late delivery and cold food. we love the food, but the service has slipped.

Would have given 5* but fries were cold when delivered , had to reheat in microwave. My burger was amazing as usual and desert’s delicious.

AWFUL AGAIN 😖 cold, not cooked right , loads missing and really light... never again was bad last time was promised better service and I think it was worse this time ... very disappointed 😞 will not recommend and will be spreading the word that this place is vile and for the price you pay its a joke!!!

Delivery expected 20:40 - 21:00. At around 21:00 notification said ‘enjoy your food’ however it hadn’t turned up. Requested a text update never received. Phoned a couple of times -no response. Food finally arrived around 21:30 - no apology, delivery driver just handed to me and scurried off.

My visit to Moonlight Dessert Shop was a mixed experience. While the modern, self-service setup via the kiosk felt convenient, the lack of visible staff at the counter made the process feel impersonal. I ordered the baklava, but waited *12 minutes* for a small 4-inch roll—longer than expected for a single portion. To add to the confusion, the kiosk’s display showed *two pieces* included, but I received only one. The shop itself has a lovely, cool ambience with a welcoming vibe, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the baklava didn’t meet my expectations in terms of flavor—it lacked the rich, balanced sweetness and texture I was hoping for. While the concept is modern and the space is inviting, the inconsistency in service speed, portion clarity, and quality of the dessert left me disappointed. Some tweaks to efficiency and recipe could make a big difference!

We had the loaded fries and they were awesome we also had a waffle and donuts delicious

Moonlight’s estimated delivery times are always incorrect. You need to double the estimated delivery.

I have tried to call rather than leave this review but there was no answer. We have used Moonlight on many occasions and always been pleased with our order. Tonight I ordered two meals and fries. We live about a five minute drive away but after a busy day we ordered online for delivery. The food arrived about 40 minutes later, which is fine. However, all of it was cold and the burgers were extremely thin, grey and very poor quality. What a total waste of money. Very disappointing

Took quite a long time to arrive, food was ok but few problems such as the pizza was freezing and there was no buffalo sauce on it, curly fries freezing and the crumble cup had hardly any Nutella or aero in, and hardly any white chocolate sauce on the popcorn compared to normal. so not the best tonight, very inconsistent in here which is a shame because it can be really nice.

1 hour and 45 minute wait for a freezing cold pizza. Luke warm chicken wrap with freezing cold chips. £32.02 for what feels like was taken straight out of the fridge.

Items cold on delivery. Wrong ice cream flavour arrived with the order, luckily my son liked the flavour upon tasting. Delivery was 25 minutes later than the latest time given. Poor all round for the expensive price paid for a birthday dessert for my son. Much better when we collect.

Original delivery time never met always late but never update app to let you know what’s going on or to give you the heads up it’s running late .

Stood at the counter waiting to be served.......waited and waited and waited. Gave up, went somewhere else up the road and got a wave from one of the staff, to say, I've acknowledged you, and 30 seconds later, I was being served......that's how it should be !!

Food never showed and it was ordered over an hour and a half ago delivery was expected over an hour ago from the times given by the shop. Unable to contact the store and apparently they are closed now this is the second time it’s just not showed up.

Arrived cold. Was late the last time we ordered from there too. Will not be ordering from there again. They tell you it has been delivered on the app when it blatantly hasn’t.

Took ages for the staff to come out and serve us, the food was sooo average like the burger sauce was bland n the chips weren’t nice, however, the brioche bun was good. Wouldn’t go again though.

The order arrived just before estimated time however upon delivery food was stone cold and had to be reheated in the microwave this is totally unacceptable the distance from the restaurant to the address does not warrant the temp of the food

milkshakes where really nice. I got the burger with fries burger was really nice but a fair bit on the cold side of things same with the fries really otherwise would've been a perfect order. but milkshakes where top tear 🙂

Made up these deliver to the lake district because that burger was scrambunctious. the chips were fried to go, i ate a whole pineapple before the meal and then couldn't fit much in but i gave it a good go and now im just singing their praises you get

I am severely downhearted about the level of service this establishment has displayed after many weeks of ordering today has been by far the most dissopointing order I have received off this application fist off all the food turned up to my humble abode cold the food was shivering in there boxes suffering from hypothermia. Second one of my orders were absent after nearly having to send a search party to retrieve this food after 2 hours it had also arrived with hypothermia. NOT A HAPPY CHAPPY.

Order from here often, normally good but the last two times i have orded cheese curly fries and received without cheese. Once is a mistake twice is not acceptable. A shame because the food is nice but i probably won't ordef again now.

Ordered here a few times and has been great every time ! Cheese missing from cheeseburger tonight and no spring onions on loaded fries which was a bit disappointing but mistakes happen and it’s always really tasty
