This is my favorite tea shop. I love the rose cake and the scones are my favorite. They are so delicious. I want to go there every day. I am happy every time I visit here with my husband and my dog. The atmosphere is comfortable and the cake is delicious. The taste of the tea is good.

Called in for coffee and cake after a walk to see the Long Man of Wilmington. A friendly welcome and a fantastic selection of cakes to choose from , a great place to visit if you enjoy trying interesting and delicious flavours . We opted for the spiced autumn berry cake, lovely and moist with just the right amount of spice. The sandwich menu looked very good too. Unfortunately we’re not local otherwise we would definitely be regulars. Do call in if you’re in the area.

Having searched for a long time for a pretty East Sussex tea room to celebrate our the birthday of a friend, we were disappinted in the outside seating area of this tea room. It was umkempt and unloved, with dirty tables, open sand bags on the floor, didty water bowls for dogs, straggly bushes and dead hanging baskets. I had to ask for our outside tables to be cleared. Went inside to order (originally booked for inside but there was someone seated inside with perfume on so strong it made our eyes water), ordered and paid (machine asked for auto tips ranging from £15% upwards for service, which we hadnt even had yet!). Declined this. Two sandwiches came with tea, nice bread but very wet with mayo so you couldn't pick up. Teapot and coffee 'pot' stained, small jug of milk for four, had to ask for sugar. Had to ask for teapot to be topped up, no extra water jug. Scones were dry, but cakes very nice. We won't be rushing back. It's a shame, this could be so nice.

This tearoom has always been a favourite of ours. Everything about it we have always found delightful. The food, the setting, the lovely garden the owners -always.We have walked over the beautiful countryside around there for years and finishing up at The Wishing Well for tea.Always excellent. We rely on public transport and live in Seaford. There is only one bus from Seaford to that area which runs hourly at weekends in the summer months. We haven't been able to do the walking lately and 2 weeks ago took the bus out arriving at the Wishing Well at 4pm only to be told that they were closing. This was disappointing and surprising.4pm is teatime.Surely far too early to close on summer weekends. We had to wait on a seat in the village for the hourly Seaford bus to come round. It's not something we will do again! This tearoom deserves 5 stars but I cannot award that when it's not open during teatime.

Stopped here for a mid long-journey meal break. First time we've visited the Wishing Well. Tempted to return for a post-diet celebration to sample the cakes, which will prompt a new diet! One of those 'tardis' like buildings - the tea-room is scarcely big enough to swing the proverbial cat, yet there is seating for 30 customers. The walls are covered with local art of 'nature', the 'Long Man' and coastal views. There is a delightful rendering of the sand-dunes at West Wittering (another good reason to return).I had, before our visit, thought that salad and crisps on the side of sandwich orders were a Kentish feature. Now, we know better. We'd earnestly wish a simple white-wine vinegar + olive oil dressing replaced the dressing currently being served.Discovered belatedly that the current Tea-Room is a re-incarnation of an older version, which suggests a nice line in continuity. The most appealing aspect other than the obvious sincerity when asked if the sandwiches were to our liking was the hand-written bill. A VERY WELCOME TOUCH!

Lovely little place, friendly staff, tasty treats and spotlessly clean. A lovely setting at the foot of the downs, suffers a little from noise from the A27 but not so seriously that this should stop anyone visiting there. Good car park but turning right back on to A27 can be dodgy at peak times, better to turn left then, a few yards on, first right do a u turn and come back in to the flow of traffic from the side road. Best to go when the traffic is light.

My husband and I visited Wishing Well Tearoom this afternoon. Met with a very warm and friendly welcome. A pot of tea scone/tea cake tasted lovely. Beautifully presented. We sat in the garden which was glorious being a hot sunny afternoon, with a stunning view of part of the South Downs. This tea room is a little gem. A must visit - if in the area.

Found The Wishing Well Tearoom on Trip Advisor and we're really glad we did!Lovely staff, excellent fresh food, wonderful-looking homemade cakes and a 5-star hygiene rating - the place was spotlessly clean. The tearoom itself is a modern building but the interior decor is country style and a very nice place to be. There's a lovey garden too with tables and chairs.I had a sandwich and my husband had a ploughmans. All local prodcue and very fresh. We didn't have time for cake or anything else but the homemade cakes looked wonderful, especially the Battenburg. We were told that Fri-Sun is very busy and it's best to book a table in advance. It's a terrific place and we'd definitely return.

Living just a few miles away, I was surprised to find this place on Trip Advisor with some excellent reviews across the board. We arrived with high hopes. Upon entering the tea room, we were welcomed by the most charming gentleman. Two pots of tea, a panini and jacket potatoe later I am delighted to confirm that the food was excellent. Unfortunately we did not have any room left for any of the delicious looking cakes, but then again I get the feeling that this is going to be the first of many return visits,so early days yet. Thank you Wishing Well for doing a tea room the right way, welcoming, clean, great food and tea in a proper tea-pot, perfect!

This little gem of a place is all too easy to pass by, but when you do decide to go down the lane off the main road - well what a find! We were recommended to this tea room by a friend and decided to go there for a Bank Holiday light lunch. The people are so friendly and the food delicious and beautifully presented. My toasted sandwich had lovely carved ham with a plentiful salad and my husband's soup was delicious.Everything is homebaked and my only regret is that I didn't sample one of the scrummy cakes. We are planning many return visits and I intend to make the Wishing Well my church outing venue in the summer.

It was my mums 90th birthday Birthday so we dropped into The Wishing Well Tea Gardens for lunch we was greeted with a very warm welcome that you do not see anymore. The tea is served in a individual tea pot on a saucer with a Doyle, we had jacket potatoes which were cooked just right and for cake the owner suggested there home made Easter egg cup cakes with a little chicken, when it was brought out they had put a candle on mums and sung happy birthday to her, she was so chuffed, they just could not do enough for her and Bernard the owner even helped her out to my car afterwards. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for making mums day so special.

We had a meal here on Saturday as they were advertising a new menu. I had the salmon and my husband had the stuffed pork chop. Both dishes were so so lovely. The flavours were so fresh and the portions were really good as well. My husband said he hasn’t had a pork joint like it before and was blown away. You won’t be disappointed with the food here and we are fussy. The staff are all so lovely and really attentive. We will def be back soon

Really disappointed. Arrived at 4ish on a Tuesday in half term with our 15 and 11 year old to a completely empty pub, just one patron sat at the bar. Really lovely cosy large area next to the fire that was empty but immediately told by bar staff we couldn't sit there with children due to licensing rules! We were allowed to sit in the drafty back lobby by the gents loos - not so great. Weird atmosphere, we clearly weren't welcome, shame as we'd planned a few rounds and dinner but we headed back to our local accommodation instead. Looked like a really quaint pub just wish we'd realised it wasn't somewhere for families.

The place is so Quaint and the food is delicious. I just wish servers would listen to what the customers say I had water with lime in it and I already had it mixed in the line was squeeze to perfection and the server came back by and I and he asked me if I wanted more water and I said yes, for halfway to the top of this ice.Keep gave me a full glass of water, or nearly. It would not be a big deal, but the fact is, I explicitly asked for him to fill it halfway again. These servers, these days, they're just giving you what they want to have, they're not understanding in our paying attention, but they want to get a great tip fortunate for them. We tip well my boyfriend and I. But I am really getting aggravated with this. So overall, the meal was fine. It's just at these people do not listen.

Fantastic food, very reasonably priced considering large portion sizes. I had the main recommended by the waiter and it didn’t disappoint. Will return.
