seen this bakery on the corner opposite greggs, thought the cakes looked nice in the window. we bought 2 rock cakes, 2 apple slices & a loaf. well when we sat somewhere i had a rock cake, i took a bite, eww. it was stale! my partner tried his, that to was stale. we threw them in the bin. thinking we were just unlucky with them. later at home i was about to do custard fir the slices. eww again. yep, stale! so disappointing. so everything went in the bin. we didn't try the bread. we just threw it. why even sell stale food? such a shame

Only in town for a few days, I stumbled on this place walking through the centre when looking for lunch. It's a lovely little bakery with a whole host of goodies, and all beautifully presented. And the staff, friendly and accomodating. I visited a couple of times over my short stay so tried a number of items. Their quiche lorraine and sausage rolls. Lovely pastry, with great fillings. Their sandwich meal deal, a very tasty, and fresh, soft roll with ham and salad. Comes with crisps (posh ones), and a drink. And their Belgian millionaire slice, very indulgent. I thoroughly enjoyed all my choices, and there were a good few others i'd have loved to have tried had i been in the town longer. I'll definitely be back when next i'm there.

What more could you want? A lovely baker's shop as you walk in, then a cute little cafe at the rear! I had coffee and cake in the cafe, then bought a marmite and cheese loaf on my way out through the bakery! But you are spoilt for choice having to choose from the wide array of breads and cakes on display! Lovely!

“I couldn’t resist temptation at Winnies” And never can 🤤 When ever I’m on a visit to Weston Winnies is a must stop for a bag full of naughty treats! Been popping in here for years, staff don’t seem as friendly as they used to but as long as the cakes still delicious I will continue to visit!

Winnie's Parlour is so cute, olde worlde and popular, being situated right in the middle of the shopping centre near " the carrot". Now we're on lockdown again, the cafe part at the rear is closed but they are still serving bread, cakes, pastries and takeaway coffee and tea. My favourite item for noshing is the cheese & marmite "tear and share" bread, or rather, loaves. Go anywhere and you won't beat these! Highly recommended!

Went in for a cream tea advertised outside, ordered a cream tea at the till, the woman explained after rolling her eyes that this wasn’t her department, but she was going to do a cream tea for us anyway, however cream teas usually come with a tea, we had no tea and one tiny scone a very small pot of jam cream and butter, and then explained that she had run out of ramekins and the other couple would have to share, there jam, cream and butter, cost us in all approx £13 for 3 scones and no tea, definitely would never go back again and would recommend to anyone, the clotted cream was like poly filler.

No other words to describe this place other than to say it bakes simply the best loaves in the country. Popped in on Friday 23rd August as we were down from Coventry for the day for some sun, sand and sea with our lad. Brought home a delicious Marmite & Cheddar loaf, along with a Bacon and Cheddar loaf for me and the missus (I ate them - too nice to share, sorry ;oD !!!!!). My young son wanted the Garlic and Rosemary loaf and we also got a Cheddar, Chilli and Jalapeno loaf that my mum and dad wanted. £1.80 each for a small loaf but so much better than the stuff on supermarket shelves. Next visit I also plan to buy some of the myriad of fantastic cakes and pastries they bake. Who needs the Great British Bake Off when you have got Winnie's?

Called in yesterday afternoon for a cream tea. The scone was so tiny and the clotted cream inedible. Rock hard. Complained to the waitress who just said sorry! Tea was good, but served in a mug. A cream tea at £4.50 should at least include a pot. You do get a pot if there is two of you. Did complain again on the way out and said it was the worst cream tea I'd ever had to another member of staff. She said they had a problem with the dairy that supplies the clotted cream. No recompense, take it or leave it. Will not be frequenting winnies bakery any time in my next visit to Weston super mare.

An unexpected but great little find. This bakery has a really great selection of cakes and breads and you're mwt with very friendly staff. The apple and raspberry danish is to die for... the best filling ive ever had in a danish (and i dont really enjoy cakes ect - but could eat this everyday!)... my mum had a toffee cake / slice and couldn't fault it whatsoever. The breads also looked amazing... have my eye on a cheese, onion & bacon loaf! ...may have to buy one to take home! ...hadn't planned on photographing or reviewing this place - so had tucked into the danish before i took the pic! But once eating just had to leave a positive review :-) ...only one suggestion... really wish there was outside seating on a nice sunny day!

Really disappointed. A so called sourdough was dry and tasteless. It also cut really strange, dry and tough. Needless to say, we won't be back. Shame as we like to support local shops..

Great home made savouries and bread , support your local independent bakery , given the amount of chains close by its great to see a local store keeping standards high and offering something different.

The best Sourdough bread we have tasted in the area to date. Having tasted the best ever, in San Francisco USA, this is not bad for an English version. A must buy/taste!

Used to work here over a decade ago. Luckily it's improved since then. They offer a much more interesting selection than the larger bakery chains and their prices are very reasonable indeed. I'd highly recommend the Cheese and Marmite loaf.

Once you've sampled Winnie's bread you'll never be able to eat manufactured factory loaves again. Winnie's taste and texture are so much better. The fruit and veg shop next door is also worth a visit.
