Wings 'n' Dat in Shepway

Rubbish, it was stated on Google that they were opened, we drove 30mimutes to get there, and it was closed. Very disappointing

Ordered ackee and saltfish but received warm tuna with white rice absolutely dreadful. Do not recommend at all.

Had a delivery of jerk chicken and rice, curry goat and rice and peas allso chef sent extra portion this was the best caribbean food I've ever tasted meat was done well melt in your mouth food my compliments to the chef loved every bite will for sure order again love and respect.

First time we went, the food was great. The time after, the curry goat roti was mostly a potato roti. We gave them another go, ordering online from their website, only to find after waiting for 2 hours that they were closed for the day. Now, after a long time away, we thought we'd give them one last try, only to give that they were closed 15mins after their advertised opening hours on Google (which were confirmed only 4 weeks ago). Unprofessional.

We love Wings ‘n’ Dat, the guys are super friendly, food tastes soooo good, nice big portions as well. We only wish they could open a branch in Hampshire as we only get this food when we’re down in Kent. So come on guys, branch out to Hampshire! 🙂

Absolutely love the food here and the atmosphere is good and friendly. Recommend highly for tasty carribean food at a good price.

Awful diabolical food find a real jams to cook food not a wannabe 2.5 hors to serve a jerk chicken 1/2 portion jerk sauce ketchup and barbecue sauce mix together absolute rubbish that’s for the U.K. not people that know proper food if you want to eat proper food Brixton turtle bay amazing food cooked by real Jamaicans

Waited two and a half hours for food what are they buying chicken live killing it cooking it before you get food

Wings 'n' day food was the icing on the cake for my retirement party. Good cook out soul food. Macaroni cheese, hottie patties, jerk chicken and peas 'n' rice like I remember from growing up in the Carribbean. And in true Carribbean style more than enough to go round! Thanks all. N Condie

Iree food.......drove 22 miles one way for some good authentic food, and it was worth the drive, especially the welcome form friendly staff. Goat was spiced just right for me , it was tender and all good cuts of meat, no fat or gristle like some. Next time gonna try the dumplings and ox tail. Deffinately worth a visit if you wanna try something different. 9/10

ordered Akee and salt gish with rice and peas, very disappointed, no akee and very little fish far too watery. rice came with kidney beans and not peas. Goat curry was shredded meat although taste was nice. chicken wings where acceptable. Will not go back again but glad we finally tried it.

Ordered takeaway. Everything was fantastic, really good value too. Annoyed with myself for not trying it sooner. Will be back.

Astonishing! our wings turned up wrapped in wet paper and wrapped in clingfilm could not believe it 😂 and being called wings n dat I thought the wings would be key, they are cheap crispy fried wings like from super pizza and the bbq wings are the same with a drop of bbq sauce over the top, the jerk chicken has to be the worst I’ve tasted and zero chilli it’s as if someone cooked up some chicken a poured a cheap jerk sauce on, worst meal for a very long time wish someone could cook some decent jerk around here ….I won’t even mention the coleslaw, gutted I wasted my money as this will be going in the bin!

Oh.My.Goodness!!! Got my first takeaway from this hidden gem a few nights ago and forgot to leave a review as I was too fat and happy. Curry Goat - Peng! Wings - Peng! Service - Peng! Food is amazing and the staff are super friendly. If you order a large then prepare to be eating your leftovers for lunch the next day as the portions are serious (tbf the goat was just as good next day too so I'll be doing the same next time!)

Food just to insane to comprehend

Ordered a delivery at 19:30 pm - estimated delivery time 20:15 - 20:35. By 20:45 we requested an update and we were told it would be with us by 21:00 - one and a half hours after ordering. During this time the restaurant was completely unreachable and eventually turned their phones off. Just before 22:00 (two and a half hours from ordering) we managed to get ahold of the restaurant. No apology or explanation was given whatsoever - we just did not receive our food. We've been left disappointed and hungry. - Edit - Just Eat offer a percentage off your order if is over 30 minutes late as standard procedure. Your restaurant gave us an updated delivery time of 21:00 instead of cancelling our order. When we finally got a hold of you after you had closed (at 21:40) you then agreed to cancel the order. The shop closed with our order pending on just eat making it impossible to receive a full refund on food we did not receive. Please feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss this further.

Really tasty, really nice people, atmosphere and music. I wasn't sure what to expect as I don't think I've really had Jamaican food before. Tried the ackee and saltfish which was better than I could have hoped. Wasn't expecting the spicyness as I don't really eat spicy food, but I still enjoyed it. It wasn't overly spicy. The rice and peas were nice too, as was the plantain. Shall have to try something else next time. It kept well hot on my walk back home of about 5 minutes. Good prices and good portions too.

Was expecting good things however the items we ordered were not good. Firstly the mac n cheese was microwaved right in front of me after ordering, any establishment microwaving food does not deserve customers. You're one and only role is to supply great food to customers and you are using a microwave, come on?! Anyway the mac n cheese contained a hair embedded into the hard microwaved crust, happy to provide photos. The sides we ordered were the fried dumpling which was undercooked/slightly doughy in the middle and the lamb pattie was a dry pasty type side. I believe It's a new business so they may sort some issues out, and I've heard mixed reviews about the curries and chicken but I'm sure they are the main attraction. I am just warning that I wouldn't have high hopes, given the standard I received for my items.

Just recently tried the new dat burger hands down one of the best chicken burgers ive ever had in my life staff are always freindly and delivery time was basically minutes hands down best new spot to get a munch in town !!

My husband had the curried goat tonight, first visit from us and he was very impressed. Lovely people, very friendly service and spotless inside. He said it was the best curried goat he had ever had, good sizes portion, really spicy and no bones. Thank you We will definitely be back soon

We ordered jerk chicken, goat curry and mac and cheese last night. I have to say unfortunately we were not impressed at all. The chicken was nice, the goat curry was dry and had tiny tiny 1mm fragments of bone though the whole dish so I could not give the kids any. We didn't eat it to be honest, too many tiny bones made it inedible. The mac and cheese was basically penne pasta with melted cheese on top. And we have woken up this morning with very bad tummies (not going into details) such a shame as we were looking forward to a good Caribbean takeaway around here, unfortunately doesn't seem like this is the place.

I had the jerk chicken, rice and peas, Mac and cheese, dumpings, and the scotch bonnet chicken wings. I couldn't fault any of it! I'll be trying the goat curry next time!

Walked past and ordered a takeout! Fabulous, really tasty I will definitely go back. I nearly didn’t go in Don’t let the decor put you off! It needs some love but the food is great. .

Food was amazing, curried goat was so well cooked, very tasty. Plantain and the fried dumplings I'd 1000% recommend! Will definitely be back. Try it you wont be dissapointed!

After working all day I am happy to say I was blessed with a good meal. Oxtail stew was full of flavour and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Will defo be eating there again.

The staff are so pleasant and welcoming. The food is delicious. It's well priced and portions are great too. It's definitely the best in this area. I highly recommend, excellent variety of dishes caters for all. And if you like spice you won't be disappointed.
