My son and I have popped in a couple of times when walking through town to watch the saints. The chap serving is friendly and helpful when choosing what to have. The food is freshly prepared and cooked. The chicken is lovely and tender and the sauces are tasty. You get loads of nice crispy chips which you can dip in your sauce.

Awful, no contact number for restaurant, missed out key items and ended up paying £16 for three “jumbo churros sticks” which are tiny. And they forget to send the main chicken loaded fries ??? Absolutely disgusting

We took the opportunity to visit on a quiet Sunday evening for a family birthday. I’ve wanted to visit for many years but have not found the opportunity. I’m really pleased to have visited as the food was excellent! A big thanks to the team who patiently waited on us despite there being no other guests and likely had to cook a lot from scratch too! We really enjoyed our visit and it was worth the wait!

Talavera WayOur go-to restaurant for steak. We went with family after Christmas and had excellent meals. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. There are plenty of parking spaces. This was an evening visit, but their lunchtime fixed price menu is great value also.

19 Bailiff StThe greatest pub in the world in my opinion. An incredibly biased review, because I love the place, but for good reason. The food is excellent, it’s rare to find quality Mexican food in England, let alone in a pub. The selection of beers is always superb, from Dutch and Belgian well renowned beers like Vedett and Duvel to equally exceptional beverages from local breweries like Phipps NBC, or just a Red Stripe if you fancy. Every day they have something different to offer, be it half price Tacos every Tuesday, retro video games on a Wednesday, live bands from around the country Friday & Saturday or the prestigious Garibaldi Pub Quiz hosted every week on a Thursday.

6 Kent RoadWas looking to trying the sister restaurant of The Smokehouse. Booked a table for 2 at 7pm. There was no one in at all. Food was ok. Cheese burger I had, had no real taste and the burger was too crispy. Partner had the vegetable skewer and the mushrooms were overcooked. Chips were bang on. I’d like to come back to sample a big piece of meat and a beer. (Dry January in progress) The drinks list was extensive. Really friendly staff. Service was great. Really looked after. Good vibes inside. Again, want to go back to see if it was a one off. Out of town, but easy to find and plenty of parking.
