Wing Hing Chinese Restaurant in Gravesham

Food arrived after 70 mins of ordering all of it looked as if it was pre-cooked and reheated and not fresh, the ribs had thick congealed jelly all over them so were inedible, the prawn balls and chicken balls you couldn't cut as were so rubbery and inedible, the crispy beef was a solid clump in the tub no sauce on and tasted like rubber, overall waste of £70 nearly in food and couldn't eat it, very disappointing takeout and went in the bin, service over the phone was polite and good probably the only positive to it

Arrived late into town staying at local hotel and family were hungry. Popped in quick to order and gave us stuff to eat salt hotel with. Food tasted great too overall fab experience 😋

Unfortunately my experience doesn't seem to be in line with many of these reviews. This take away was recommended to me after the Miramar (best Chinese take away ever) closed, but it was a big disappointment. Food was either so bland it was dull, or so over seasoned all I could taste was salt. Could have repointed my house with the batter on the sweet & sour chicken balls. Oh well, you live and learn. Nasty.

The food from WingHing is always of a great quality. We always order takeout. The service over the phone is always very good, I get the impression they prefer cash payments but nonetheless they always offer card payments. I can heartily recommend the Pork Fried Rice, myself and my wife can't get enough. Chilli beef is good, also not as spicy as other places, which suits us. Pork/Chicken balls are sizable portions with a nice sticky sweet sauce and a crispy batter. Duck pancakes are tasty with plenty of pancakes and decent amounts of sauce and veg. The chow mein is flavoursome, we have tried both beef and chicken and found both tasty. The ribs are done a little differently here. So bare in mind that if you want ribs in a sauce you need to ask. The BBQ ribs are served flavoured but dry for example. A great takeaway option with it's own take on a few dishes. The prices are also really reasonable. Fully recommended.

This isn't a eat in restaurant , takeaway only l would say , the lady did make us feel welcome. The food was OK

Had a last minute Chinese , had duck , noodles and dumplings all to a very good standard, very tasty and fresh, will definitely be ordering again , as prices are the cheapest in Gravesend

We filled the whole restaurant with family and friends. Had a brilliant time. Food was amazing and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

We ordered dinner from here for the first time. It came on time, food was nice and hot. Everything was tasty, the rice needed more oriental flavour. apart from that everything was really good, especially the ribs. will definitely order from here again.

We have ordered takeaways for years from Wing Hing and the food has always been fresh and tasty. We had a take away 6 weeks ago that was horrible. The food was very bland, had no fresh vegetables or chillis etc and was far too salty. I even asked the lady who takes the orders if they had a different chef but she said no. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt hoping it was just a one off but our take away last night was awful. The noodles and rice did not taste of anything, no fresh vegetables and too salty and very bland. The meat curry was very watery. Sadly we will not be ordering again.

This is normally the top rated Chinese restaurant in Soho from my point of view but I guess COVID has taken it's toll: the prices are through the roof and the food is ok. Not many customers and few Chinese people. More like a tourist destination now. I hope normal service is soon restored.

Eat in for atmosphere with fast and great food/service. Intimate feel with only a few tables available.

One of the best places in Gravesend/Northfleet to get your Chinese takeaway, much more flavoursome than most others that are just bland.

Wing Hing were very accommodating and helpful, we ordered food the night before, for 9 adults and 6 children 6 and under. They cooked and delivered the food early so the children could join in the meal. The food arrived hot and was enjoyed by all.

If I could give this 0 star rating I would. Food took an hour to arrive (not informed of the wait when ordering). Spent over £40 and had a dish missing (that arrived half hour after calling up). Standard of the food is poor. Mixed starter asked for Satay sauce to be separate, it came on the chicken. The sauce was nothing like any other satay sauce I've seen or tasted before, terrible. The barbecue ribs don't come in sauce, bone dry and are poor quality. The mains...salt and pepper chicken...soggy batter and no taste. Chicken chow mein incredibly dry. Prawn balls were big but lacked any flavour. Chilli beef when it arrived an hour and a half after ordering lacked any actual chilli's just covered in sauce and shredded carrot. I should of known when ordering and the person on the end of the phone was talking to someone else whilst taking my order and had to get someone else to add up the cost that I should of not bothered. Lesson learnt, never again.

Our go to place for an eat in Chinese. Always fresh quality ingredients beautifully cooked. The prawns especially are amazing. Friendly service

We had been busy doing DIY and needed a meal Called Wing Hing (just around the corner) and they had a table available. When we arrived Diane was very welcoming and gave us a choice of tables. Our drinks quickly arrived and shortly after we had our starters. Satay Chicken and Spring rolls to share. Delicious! After a short wait our Mains arrived. We both enjoyed the beautifully cooked dishes. Diane was very attentive but not intrusive. When we had finished, we finished our drinks and paid. We went home relaxed and full of food. Thanks for the chill out Diane and the kitchen staff.

Waited 1 and a half hours for a delivery very poor show.

We were invited out by friends to help celebrate their birthday and were not disappointed with the food here. Good sized portions and great tasting food. Would recommend. The staff worked hard and went out of their way to make our visit go well. Thank you

Best Chinese in Gravesend. Food is always great, tasty, not greasy and piping hot.

Love this place the food is fantastic. Even the little things like chips and curry sauce are fabulous. The best thing they do is if I phone my order through and give a rough time to pick it up, it is All ways ready and hot.

Terrible quality, too heavy on the salt (and I like salt), sweet and sour chicken questionably squishy, satay sauce just melted peanut butter (no flavour, kick or spice like youd expect literally tastes like warm peanut butter scooped straight out the jar), chow mein alright but too much salt

Ordered from here for the first time last weekend. The food was absolutely spot on. The lemon chicken melting in the mouth. It was terrific and I will not hesitate to order from here again

use to come here all the time - few months ago decided to give it a go again - so glad we did! best takeaway hands down in gravesend would have given 5 stars but the kung po chicken not as good as it use to be - use to be lovely and spicy with lots of green peppers and pecan nuts in it - this time it was too sweet and none of the previously mentioned ingredient - if you read this please please change back! husband loves the sweet and sour pork just one negative - no pineapple in it. quality of the meet is great - doesnt take boiled like some places!

This takeaway & restaurant is not permently closed .I work here & are open 7 days a week ..it is the same owners ..food is just as good & staff are very friendly ..

Deny hearing what's been ordered when placed and unwilling too change or help customer with a sulotion will def not order from this place again food also cold on arriving which is not exceptable.

The food here is always top notch, ok the restaurant is small & not the best decor, but the people are nice & the service is good. We often walk there for an evening meal, nice to look out on the bustle of Echo Square, chilling out & watching the world go by, enjoying good food & drink. We also use The Wing Hing for our takeaway, they deliver & the food is always good.

Just had a takeaway delivered and it was lovely. We had prawn ball, black bean with prawns and prawn chow mein. We don't eat meat and there is never much choice for us pescatarians at chinese restaurants which is why it's always prawns!!! But I'm not moaning. The food is so fresh with the balls lovely and soft. I'd recommend any time.

Food has always been lovely here but ordered a takeaway and it was awful! The Manager was not interested and did not offer a full refund.

The food is cooked to a decent standard and tastes really good I've ordered here several times now and I've never had a problem with the food the only problem I've had is delivery when they're really busy but otherwise 10/10! :)

Decepcionados. Entré en el restaurante para pedir mi comida. No estaba todo preparado a pedido las bolas de pollo eran asquerosas después intenté una sentencia en contra de mi mejor no lucir bien. Les ofrecí a mi perro (él no comer! Los rollos de primavera) eran buenos, pero que era el único poco aparte de la algas (que no puedes conseguir mal tbh) el resto no es bueno. Estoy sorprendido como el teléfono no dejan de sonar mientras yo estaba allí. Haber llamado el jardín de china antes de la mano de encontrar había 2 horas sólo puedo asumir que otras personas hagan lo mismo. El personal es encantador y están ocupados haciendo su trabajo haciendo que las personas felices, una pena que la comida no hace justicia a los empleados.

Hemos estado utilizando el Ala Hing durante muchos años para las entregas y recogidas.Nunca tuvimos un problema. Cuando algo faltaba, enviaron el conductor a lo largo de inmediato a reemplazar.En recogidas, siempre tenemos una buena charla con la señora detrás del mostrador y el conductor.Hasta ahora, nunca he hecho comido en el restaurante.

Waited over an hour on a Sunday for a delivery what a waste the sweet and sour chicken was very sour with no sweet tasted awful the vegetarian spring rolls were over fried with hardly any filling the satay chicken was dry with a congealed pale supposedly satay sauce!and the ribs were over cooked and very very dry with hardly any meat on chicken balls were disappointing but chips were ok too much salt though

I love the wing hing, they are my local Chinese, the food is never greasy, generous in portion size and very tasty, they are extra careful with my orders as I have a shellfish allergy, the service is always quick and pleasant, the ladies on the counter taking the orders are both a credit to the business, service with a smile always and very friendly

Normalmente uso ala hing como mi típico chino. Pedí un llevar hoy y mi orden de £9.50. La persona en el teléfono se convirtió en tan grosero cuando me dijo que yo no voy a pedir algo más para 50 p para conseguir la entrega gratuita. Entonces ella mintió y dijo que el precio mínimo de entrega es de 10 libras y luego te cobran 1 libras. Nunca me han cobrado £1 entrega antes, así que no no lo que esta mujer era muy grosero en. Entonces ella paró a mitad de camino a través de nuestra llamada a responder otro teléfono que estaba sonando de fondo, que es increíblemente mal servicio al cliente. Most of the food there seems to be in one colored sause --- orange...it is often bland and to be honest the place looks as if it could do w a good cleaning...

hing ala era nuestra comida para llevar china de elección durante años, entregaría buena comida sabrosa cocinados a su pedido. Siempre nos pasamos más de £20 en nuestra orden y nos dio el conductor una propina. Pero ahora no usan su comida es uno de los mejores de la zona, pero los precios han aumentado y ahora se le entrega en cualquier orden, para mí el paso de lejos y han perdido un cliente.

The Food.The food here is very nice. No complaints about taste and portions. Lovely all round.The Service.Very good, polite and helpful all round. The Restaurant I didn't like the restaurant itself. It's like an add on to the takeaway service and the layout is dated. It needs refurbishing and making more inviting. There's no air conditioning here and it's very confined in a little drop down room off of the entrance. It didn't feel like a proper restaurant, more like a cafe I suppose.The PriceQuite expensive considering the lack of atmosphere. If it was a nicer restaurant you wouldn't notice the price because of the lovely food and service.

First visit here, and not thinking of returning. The food was ok, the sauces tasted like they came straight out of bottles, and I've had better at The Peking and China Garden. They do most of their business through take away and the decor in the place reflects this. Felt a bit like eating in the foyer of a seedy hotel or social club. The staff were attentive and very friendly.

How nice to find a good local Chinese. They offer collection and delivery (there's a decent pub opposite to sit and wait).The menu is classic takeaway but the class and quality is top notch. Ribs are good, seaweed is crispy but the pork balls were a bit chewy. This is a good takeaway and it tasted even better the next day for lunch

We ordered a mix of dishes, all were tasty and the portion size was generous. We had it delivered, it arrived in the specified 40 minutes and it was all piping hot. This was the first time we have used this particular takeaway and probably will again.

Our regular chinese was closed so we thought we would try here. So glad we did the curry is gorgeous and the deep fried beef with chilli is out of this world best iv had. The large rice is plenty for two and the price is good. Seriously give this place a try you won't regret it

Very cosy , only small sitting area. But food was good and plenty of it.Plus served hot. Drinks were normal price with small selection.

We got a takeaway from here and were very disappointed. My husband had beef with ginger and spring onion nice beef just missing the ginger! I had chicken in a spiced satay sauce bland sauce more like. Vegetable rice what vegetables!

We eat at Wing Hing on a fairly regular basis with friends, also order their take-aways. Cannot fault the food or service, delicious, hot and tasty. If eating in the restaurant customer service always excellent, friendly and attentive.Highly recommend.

Never has a motto been more adapt when choosing this restaurant! I've only ever had a takeaway from here, but I wouldn't have a Chinese from anywhere else! Prices are very good, portion size and quality is brilliant. Outside really could do with sprucing up, but it is no way reflective of the high quality good that it serves up! :)

Every time this has been incredible! Couldn't recommend it more. Whether it's a delivery, take away or a visit the staff are pleasant, the food is hot and fresh... Plus always delicious. Brilliant!

What would I do without this place? Good food and prompt service. Highly recommended!
