My husband and I go here every time we go down to our caravan for lunch we always have the same lovely lady serve us and this year we threw her off by taking my niece with us but she still remembered us all the same ❤️

I don't know where they get all these excellent reviews from. I must of gone in during a bad day. Full English the egg was overcooked, beans looked cheap and breakfast was bland. Waitress was polite.

Went for a roast But it was poor for the money only had two potatoes and veg was hard couldn't get knife though the green beans Been lots before and food was lovely but yesterday they must of been having a bad day were the roast was concerned

We went there specifically for a roast lunch and it certainly didn't disappoint. Only disappointment was the toilets were up steep stairs

Have used this cafe on previous occasions but today Steak & Kidney Pie was horrible the meat was tough and hard. Not offered anything to offset this

The most amazing homemade cake and tea for £5.95 Bargain. Sally and staff always friendly. The mega breakfast before 11am is £8.00 which consists of 2 toast 2 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausages2 hash browns and beans. You can also swop out items for mushrooms or grilled tomatoes. Plus tea or coffee. Lovely soya hot chocolate made in the steamer nice n frothy. Now serving vegan hot chocolate for those like me who are milk intolerant and can't have hot chocolate powder which contains milk powder. Nice Americano coffee.

Had a lovely hot lunch,then went for a pudding cheesecake, cherry compote and topped off with clotted cream. Claire is lovely went above and beyond. If you haven't tried this place you must homemade delicious food. Will be back.

Really like this place. Always pop in when down in Exmouth. Very friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Still great food as always 🙂

There was a table available when we went in, and we sat at a window seat, so it was great for people watching. Good choice of food at good prices . The food was good, home cooked food, very tasty no complaints. Worth a visit

A hidden gem, wide selection of freshly cooked food. Liver was delicious as was the Tuna Bake. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble.

Always was a great value place to eat and great home cooked food but unfortunately not like it was a few yrs ago quality and quantity has dropped

Best place in Exmouth for a cooked breakfast

DOG EXPERIENCE 0/10 Food and coffee ok but general atmosphere was poor. Table needed cleaning. A customer nearby having lunch, OPENLY fed his dog by hand throughout the meal. The DOG was on the floor and his lap and at the end encouraged to the lick the plate clean underneath his table. Disgusting. Ruined our experience. Told the owner and staff and it obviously happens all the time. Never Again.

Wonderful Service .Only complaint was my roast potatoes and very soft carrots personal taste..Lovely assistants ....

The menu board outside had some tasty looking choices and looking through the window it seemed to be a busy bistro style cafe. As it was a bit crowded we sat in the empty upstairs which had been painted grey over wood chip wallpaper were bare so felt very dull, depressing and run down so different from downstairs. Dirty and broken lighting. Freezers and piled up furniture did not help. Staff very friendly but got order wrong. Food was very cheap and all microwaved.

This was a lovely place to stop for our lunch, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was perfect, cooked to perfection, Thank you, when in Exmouth next we will be returning.

Recommend by a family member and it didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was excellent staff friendly and efficient, waiting time minimal even though it was busy will definitely visit again if in the area.

We visited the 'Wine of Araby' on a recommendation. The name implied in our mind that it may be quite an upmarket restaurant. To our surprise it was like walking into a 'truckers cafe' but the staff were welcoming and it seemed nice & friendly so we stayed. The menu is basic, good value nosh. Our food was served in very good time, was very nice and well cooked, the portions were good too. Everything was spotlessly clean & hygienic. A minor aggravation was that my friend did have to leave her seat to get some service from the staff who were deep in conversation amongst themselves and unaware of us trying to get their attention. But with everything considered, we had a pleasant visit. We have been told that they also do the best breakfasts in town, so we look forward to returning and trying them.

Nice little restaurant, good food and helpful staff. Lovely homemade fish pie and roast lamb dinner. Would definitely use again.

First time visiting this place most certainly won't be the last, we had home cooked food absolutely delicious the pie to die for and the trifle well if you never been here then you must try it you won't be disappointed 😋

First time here and what lovely home made food it is the pie was so delicious & hot the trifle was lovely too everything was absolutely delicious we will be back. Even though it was nearly closing time they still accommodated us thank you promise we will be earlier next time.

Popped in as the menu in the window looked OK. 3 young waitresses watched us sit down then look at the menu. The place is tired, lacklustre and depressing. Still being ignored a waitress walked past, returned then walked past again. The other two were still stood at the back of the cafe looking bored. We stood up, walked out. Why give such an awful place any business?

Nice food, gluten-free options available. Lovely staff and fair priced. Will go again.

It was a really nice place to go to ,I took myself and 3 of my resident's there for hot drinks before we carried on shopping due to coming from Torquay,the staff was so friendly and helpful we all went back there after doing the shopping for our lunchtime meal .I just want to say well done to all the staff and thank you all xx

Very rarely ever give bad reviews to anything. I was feeling flat, so to cheer myself up, thought I'd venture to this cafe for the 1st time, and treat myself to perhaps a cafe & coffee. I walked in young girl was filling up milk. I waited to be seated. Just table for yourself? Yes I replied. I was asked to take a seat. Few minutes later the attitude of the waitress was don't know who was 1st as no one waited to be seated. I said I was told by young lady to take a seat. The look I got made me feel uncomfortable so I left. Not what I needed today

Stopped off at this little caff for a bite to eat - very popular & busy. I opted for a vegetarian breakfast with an add on of bubble & squeak with a pot of tea. Staff were very polite and meal was lovely!

Very good value for money and friendly service from the staff. Located in the magnolia centre it's excellently situated for a quick drink and cake whilst shopping (Gluten free options also offered). Main meals via the set menu and a specials board makes it difficult to choose but all have very good portion sizes. Whilst not obvious from the outside, the Wine of Araby has 2 floors with plenty of seating on each. Definitely worth a visit.

Used to love this place but sadly with the cost of living etc the quality is slipping which is to be expected these days. Had a breakfast. It was ok. But not a patch on what it was a few years ago. Not really worth what they are charging now sadly. Came out quickly and the scrambled eggs were good.

Was ok, but a bit grubby needs new floor covering

Didn't get what we ordered so had to ask for the rest of the order. Scones for the Devonshire tea were microwaved and served piping hot! Victoria sponge bore similarities to a £1 frozen cream sponge from Iceland. Definitely not a Victoria sponge. Mince pies in the display cabinet were the 6 for £1 from the co-op. Expected something far better and some home baked delights. Won't be visiting again.

Best value Cafe in Exmouth. Full English breakfast including tea and toast for £6.50 before 11.00. Friendly staff and quick service. Never been too crowded when I've visited. Highly recommended. Still the best breakfast in town.

We feel the café standards has gone down since our last visit. Quality of breakfast items has got worse and price has gone up. There was a very long wait for our breakfast, when it did come the beans was cold and when they microwaved them they at best were Luke warm also the bacon was more fat then bacon we won't return.

Don't be put off by the outside appearance go in and enjoy the best full English breakfast in Exmouth. Staff very friendly and helpful food cooked to order but well worth the wait and the price is just unbeatable

I don't normally put negative reviews however was rather surprised save disappointed with our visit here today. An abrupt and unfriendly "greeting"when we walked in. Very patronising when telling me the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. I make (and drink) enough of them, I think I know the difference. The food and coffee were both mediocre. Wouldn't recommend or return here.

Our favourite place for breakfast or lunch in Exmouth. The staff are amazing nothing is too much, excellent friendly service. The portions sizes are well above the average for a cafe and great value for money. We eat here every week and they have never let us down!

This place has gone down rapidly under new owner,after 15 years won't be coming back. Meals taking forever to come out, my sisters meal was cold. Another occasion we popped in for toasties before cinema, took so long we nearly cancelled and when toasties finally arrived, was white bread instead of the brown ordered. Original staff, can't fault but newer one's not up to scratch, just hope they wash their hands on arrival after stubbing out cigarettes outside.

Under new management I think prices have gone up understandable but portion sizes have reduced and cheap instant coffee with froth on the top that didn’t taste like coffee it needs work considering it’s in the centre of town . While I was there 14 people walked in then out again . think you need to take note of your customers

Went into the cafe today after not been in since pre-covid. Very friendly and accomodating. Had cooked breakfasts of which both were delicious. The food was piping hot, freshly cooked. Not many places like this where it's fresh. Heard lots of people chatting how lovely it was and great value. Well definately be going back and sample their Sunday roast again as they were always beautifully cooked too and the homemade rice pudding.

Not sure what's happened (new ownership??) but this once reliable outlet now seems chaotic. Also decor/furniture hasn't changed in about 20 years! If under new management then an upgrade would be welcome along with a return to previous standard of service

On this visit 3 of us enjoyed our meals, but a visit to the gents' toilet up 2 flights of stairs was a disappointment as it appeared to be in the same state that it was on my last review in 2013! In covid times...

Eat here and enjoyed an excellent sunday roast lunch - but other options available. We popped in to book a table before stroll along sea front. Good idea as became busy at lunctime 12.30 ish

Had a few meals here in June/July 2021, food always good, large portions and very reasonable price, won’t hesitate to use the next time we are in Exmouth

Staff really helpful, quickly and without fuss, accomodated me and my wheelchair. Our meals was huge portions and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed itvso much we went back for breakfast the next day. They have a very good range of Gluten Free cakes, which are not...

Thanks for a lovely lunch. The food was excellent, and the staff are certainly very welcoming and the service is first class. My wife and I can't thank you enough. Lovely lamb roast was a nice treat

Table service and really nice food. Even made the portion of my meal smaller in exchange for a portion or chips alongside it for the same price. Friendly staff and well priced.

Had a lovely breakfast all cooked nicely and quickly with a large range to choose from, would highly recommend a stop in here for lunch.

Very rude experience, without knowledge of how to deal with clients with exemption for not wearing a mask, causing anguish and distress. When presented the facts to which they are actually unaware the "Manager/ waitress " Claire Baker obviously needs to have training on how to deal with customers. I will definitely not spend my money here ever again ... whose damage is it ?? Well, think about it when creating policies without knowing what is on the gov.com.uk equality act 2010 website and still want to keep the business open.

Been coming here for the last four years while on holiday. Starting to look old and tired. A good refurb of the decor would be great. Food and friendliness top notch still!

Despite passing this many times on previous visits to Exmouth, this was our first visit. Good coffee ensured a second visit the following day!

My wife and I call in for a meal at least twice a week at different times and we have NEVER EVER had a problem with anything the food has never let us down it’s a lovely place for food or just a coffee so...

4 of us popped in and were told upstairs is closed.....we walked out as did 3 other people. Not happy.....we love this place but have had to go elsewhere

Really love Wine of Araby, such good, well cooked honest food. Love the restaurant, brilliant staff who all work really hard. Wouldn't eat anywhere else when in Exmouth.

The Wine Of Araby has a fair range of food and drink. The meals are not too expensive, and they are particularly delicious, if you want to fill your stomach with a meal and a dessert, with a drink to go with them. Of course, if you're just hungry for a snack, you can ask for some beans and chips, plus a juice or herbal tea. Just don't forget to pay all of your (meal) courses before you make for the exit.

Seriously the worst food I’ve ever been served , if I could give it no stars I would, apparently this place has changed hands , which explains why there are some good reviews , avoid

Never disappointed when we visit (weekly). Quite easily the best breakfast in Exmouth and the service is second to none. Can't reccomend this place highly enough

Sister's meal sent back cold, they forgot to microwave it. Roast spuds on mine inedible,tasted like they had been walmed up from day before, couldn't even cut through one. Been going here for many years, but last two Sunday visits - disgusting.

Always love my meals here great food

We have visited here many times. Food generally very good especially the cream teas and various desserts. Lots of stairs to go up for the toilets unfortunately but there are public toilets in a nearby car park. Staff here very friendly and efficient. Prices very reasonable.
