Small car park. Good food. Plesent atmosphere. Will be happy to go again.

The meat we had pork was absolutely incredible and came with crackling !!! Fresh cooked vegetables were lovely but there wasn’t a lot of but just purely down to the whole meal being so tasty I wouldn’t even mark it down for it !!!

Delicious home cooked roast dinner... beef and pork especially delicious....!!! Good portion size....

A community owned pub that needs more support, Carolyn runs the kitchen serving a selection of pub foodfrom 12 till 8 Wednesday thru Saturday. On Sundays 12 till 3.30 roast dinners and a limited menu are available. takeaways and collections are available also. The garden is beautiful, and the outside covered hub is always available, plus free parking. The pub serves real ales cider and lagers and wines and spirits. Prices are very reasonable, and all staff serving you are not paid employees. They are all volunteers.

Great community owned pub, food very good. Just visited with a group of 21 people for a Friday meal at lunch time, all the food served very quickly considering the number of us there. All the meals were excellent with a very large selection to choose from, and also a great selection of desserts. All in all, a great place to visit. Revisited several times now, always good food and service.

I didn't eat here however have seen others meals which do look hearty and nice. I went on a Sunday afternoon where they were hosting Bingo. Rare prices to play and lots of laughs to be had. Drinks were reasonably priced and the pub has a welcoming feeling. Parking available right next to the pub

It's absolutely lovely in there, the atmosphere, the food and of course the service, its so friendly, I go in whenever I stay at my sons house

Burger and chips was nice but the roast pork and lasagna were so bland

Lunch after a walk with the dogs. We choose this venue after a phone call because of the need for a strictly gluten free meal for a Coeliac. Nothing was too much trouble and the chef was very aware about gluten having a family member with the same problem. Food was good, fresh, wholesome and swift. Dog friendly and, most importantly, people friendly. We'll be back!

First time visiting today. Grandad enjoyed the "proper fire" Service with a friendly smile. Food was perfectly hot and tasty...Clean plates all round! Very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back 😋

Great disappointment not to be able to fish stoke cannon culm😢. Early lunch. Warm welcome by all present, especially bar person who turned out to be match secretary for our fishing club! Very good range of prices from under £10 to £15-20. Very generous chill & baked spud with separate salad & slaw. Really good. My fishing buddy had ham, egg, &chips. Again very generous portion.

Don't ask for a coffee in here, I asked for one and a very strange lady looked at me as if I was asking for the devil himself. Went once wouldn't go again, didn't feel comfortable 😕

A clean and welcoming village pub run by the community. Camra guide, so you know ale is good! Surprisingly good menu: Food delicious. Children's play area with sheltered BBQ backs onto fields.

Friendly pub with occasional music nights. Had a really good dinner with local cider 😋

With regards to reply from my review, the total cost of the meal was £89, it wasn't per head, there were 4 of us.

What a miserable barmaid, (short grey curly hair). Not an ounce of personality, it has put us off going back, she was so rude! Food ok but not a lot of it, don't think this pub will be here in 12 months the way it is being run tbh..3/10

Lovely hot roast , loads of meat will definitely order again

Food was incredible and the pork and beef was done to perfection !!! Despite the order being 15 minuets late it was totally worth it and piping hot !! Maybe stuffing as a side would have topped it but overall tasty hot and cooked to perfection !

Lovely food,but not very big portions at all for the price,I did order near to the closing time,but that should not make a difference to be honest,so for that reason,I don't think I would order again.

My Dad and I visited this pub purely by chance after being in the area on our way to Exeter City FC to watch Blackpool. How lucky were we? A real lovely style pub, such a friendly warm welcome and a great pint! Great to have a friendly chat with the barman, who seemed genuinely interested in us as customers. The toilets were also clean and tidy, often a good sign. This is somewhere we’d both come back to again in the future. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend this pub. Five stars!

Literally the best roast ever and the fact they deliver to the airport is even better. Thankyou guys so much for making work alot more enjoyable.

Very friendly community run staff, great food

Visited with our Morris dancing side. Limited car parking at the pub itself but there is a big carpark next doors. Decent beer, decent prices, nice community feel and they were kind enough to put on a spread for us afterwards. What is not to like?

Food was okay but not very warm when arrived!

Popped in here for Sunday lunch, as we were staying 5 mins away. We are both glad we did pop in. Very welcoming and friendly. Had not booked a table but that was no problem. Sunday lunch was superb, could not fault it l, and same for pudding. 5 stars all the way. 👌👌👌👌👌

Excellent quality. Food was hot on delivery. (Often not the case with other burger delivery restaurants).

I think perhaps our expectations were too high. But we were disappointed, Yorkshires & Potato's soggy, peas were a little too hard. Meal was however hot & delivery quick. Probably wouldn't order again sadly

First time in ordering from them absolutely delicious food two adults and two children’s pork roast price was reasonable the amount of food was excellent will definitely be ordering from them again

Very welcoming community pub, first time we went there felt so welcomed become regulars now, food is amazing and the choice is great children menu is great and Carolyn happily made changes for our fussy eater now he eats loads, go and try 😀

Didn't read notes on no veg so the person it was ordered from couldn't eat the roast due to issues with certain foods

The roast was AMAZING!! I shall never order a tobys carvery again. Good portions, superbly cooked, all fresh,hot and a right proper roast! Definitely be ordering again.

First time ordering from here, and so glad we did. Received a call saying our food was delayed as they were very busy which was no problem. They also double checked our address to make sure they found us quickly. The food was delivered still very hot by a lovely delivery man and absolutely delicious. First time ordering from Stoke Canon Inn and will be the last. Ordered a burger, lasagne and chips. Burger contained gone off onion, was really dry, chips tasted frozen / stale and the texture was almost soggy. Lasagne was basically a meat mix with cheese topping and some pasta sheets (lasagne has layers, this did not), and tasted as if it had been cooked, frozen then defrosted. Not sure how it took nearly hour to cook it all (it was dispatched at 8:45), but the food was barely hot by the time it arrived so probably a slow microwave! Lasagne contained salad which was also brown , and the coleslaw was THAT disgusting I actually gagged. 2 measly pieces of hard, cold garlic bread. Not sure how this has a 5 star rating unless most people have still lost their sense of taste since Covid. Not one to usually complain but this was a waste of £23/24 (plus £4 delivery charge).

Wow! I have to say it was the best roast I’ve had apart from my mums! It tasted home cooked and everything was perfect, piping hot and very obviously cooked with love. The raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was the perfect finish. First time ordering. Will definitely be ordering again. Great delivery man as well. Delivered with a smile.

Absolutely amazing food, was so tasty, proper homemade food and just what we needed after a long day at work.

Really good Sunday roast at a very reasonable price

The food was mostly hot and tasty but the salad and coleslaw REALLY need to be boxed up separately instead of in with the hot food. Such a simple thing would really improve the meal (and make us much more likely to order again).

Great pub, great staff, just not sure about the food, it's good pub food, but it is a tad repetitive, items stay on the specials board for an unreasonable amount of time. It would be nice if things were shaken up a bit.

Called in on the off chance of to see if we could get a roast with very limited time on sunday...... Ladys we're very accommodating and polite, Roast beef and pork was amazing and just enough. Will definitely use again.

Ordered a beef roast … came hot , a large portion that I’ve split into lunch and dinner , everything perfectly cooked and rich , homemade flavours , honestly couldn’t be happier !

Great little local ownened by the community

Great food, arrived hot and really good value for money. This is the second time we have ordered and both times we have been really impressed. Would definitely recommend.
