Windy's Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I visited a few days ago and safe to say i’m very disappointed and will never be returning. The place is overpriced, i paid £5 for ONE scone with a tiny bit of cream and jam which didn’t even taste nice, my daughters waffle was bland and cold by the time it came out, which defeats the whole point of it being called a warm waffle! I got given a broken cone, which snapped shortly after we received the ice cream, and they were then hesitant to give me a pot to put my child’s ice cream into. An angry man, who i presumed is the boss barged his way in and started shouting at the staff, which left a very awkward atmosphere. The staff were very quiet and weren’t very chatty at all, almost making it look like they didn’t want to be there and wanted to get us out of there as soon as possible which was very rude, they also kept there masks on to say hi n then took them off shortly after while still taking our order - what’s happened to coronavirus?! Very disappointed and won’t be returning

The views and variety of ice cream are spot on friendly staff its definately worth a visit. Its in an ideal location on the way to Towan beach which has the Sea life centre and infamous bungalow .

Visited today and it was a terrible experience to say the least. Staff stood around behind the counter with no masks on - what happened to COVID rules?! Ordered a waffle which was bland, cold and from a packet. No cutlery was given with the food so had to ask several times. Really disappointed definitely won’t be back and wish I could of had a refund!

Dropped all the scones on the floor ! Cream tea with only one scone for £4.50 Dry Microwaved Scone, small portion of jam and cream Served with no cutlery, no tea spoon, no napkin. No masks work and friends at the counter and chatting .

Popped in with the lilun after Nursery for an ice cream, super friendly staff and ice cream to match! Lived here since Feb, but for one reason or another haven't visited before...... But will definitely be coming back!

Happened upon this place by chance as we were wandering. I've wanted to try a bubble waffle for a while so it was a great excuse. Good choice of ice cream flavours and the waffles are made to order. Service was great and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice little seating area outside and upstairs too. Also serve doggy ice cream if you have a four legged friend with you

Had a lovely cream tea. Kids loved the choices of ice cream Would definately use again and highly recommend. Staff were lovely and friendly. Reasonably priced. Great view from the seating area.

Brilliant! Just polished off a vanilla latte and honeycomb ice cream. Now enjoying a lovely coffee on the balcony. Great staff, very friendly, and Catherine makes the ice cream herself. It's phenomenal. You can even have it in a real bowl with a proper spoon to save the whales! Would come again.

Best service in Newquay, reasonable prices and delicious food and drinks! My little boy was made to feel like a superhero with the attention he got by the lovely girls working there

Beautiful creamy and flavoursome ice cream made on site. Loved that they do a dog friendly ice cream and that dogs are welcome. We all said that we would return during our time in Newquay.

The best place in Newquay for super smoothies and fabulous icecreams. Great choice for Grand daughter who is dairy free. Friendly and quick service, just perfect on a warm summer day.

It was a rainy day in Newquay, we’d done the cinema & aquarium and needed a pick-me-up. Windy’s was perfect. Lots of choice of flavours & toppings. You must try the bubble waffles.

I recommend sitting upstairs, It is a lovely homely relaxing place. They have nice music. The staff are lovely and friendly. They make their own ice cream here! If you have heard about and are looking to taste Cornish-ice cream it couldnt get any more Cornish than that! They do nice coffee. It is dog-friendly, and they even do ice-cream for dogs!

My wife and I stopped here for an Ice Cream. I had the Cinnamon and my wife had the Berry crumble. Both were delicious. Cinnamon isn’t a flavour of ice cream that you see very often, it’s super tasty. Great location to look down to the beach and watch the many surfers.

My wife ordered from here a vegetarian meal (good options) however staff were slow at making it, the cafe wasn’t busy and they staff were chatting amongst themselves rather than concentrating on serving us. Food was ok.

I don’t write many reviews but I thought this cafe was absolutely wonderful. The staff were super friendly and the coffee was divine! What a brilliant stop over-looking the beach. Thank you- we’ll be back!
