1/. Staff at Windmill Inn, Werrington are 5* = very welcoming, friendly & really attentive. 2/. Signature BBQ Burger was 5* but Southern Fried Chicken Burger was only 3* = SFC was just a small piece of chicken in a bun = visually unappealing & rather tasteless. 3/. They have a fabulous selection of Bitters & the Rosé was wonderful & chilled = 5* 4/. Venue has good parking. Inside is very clean, lovely décor & seating and is well lit.

The wife and myself stopped at the windmill for dinner. The food was fabulous and plentiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit the windmill again and recommend to friends and family.

Friend suggested we meet here for lunch. Hadn't been in a few years and wasn't sure what to expect. Food was great. Piping hot and delicious. Was recommended to have a dessert special of Victoria sandwich cheesecake. Wow! Loved it! Staff were warm and friendly. We will most definitely be back!

Great local pub with lovely staff, good food and atmosphere. All staff willing to go above and beyond for their customers. Could not recommend it enough!

Such a great place, never disappointed when visiting the Windmill. Staff are great, friendly and ready to help with anything. The food is great also though we didn't eat in this occasion. We just celebrated a friend's birthday with drinks. The atmosphere was really good to celebrate the occasion with friends.

Drive past here every Sunday when taking my grandson back to his mother's, this is third time lucky where we managed to get a table. Ordered the beef bourguignon, beef burgers arrived at the table, must of been my pronunciation, the staff were very apologetic and brought the correct meal which was well presented and tasted delicious, the staff would not accept the price difference that I owed or a drink . Would definitely recommend and will revisit

Booked for afternoon tea with 3 friends. Table set with nice China and everything we needed. The 3 tier stand had the most delicious sandwiches and cakes. The teapot was filled several times. Excellent value for money and the staff happy to help. Most enjoyable afternoon. Will be back and would recommend.

The Windmill managed the impossible! A party of 25… all orders correct, food arrived quickly and was absolutely lovely. As if this wasn’t enough, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere perfect. We weren’t rushed and had a lovely time catching up. We go somewhere different every year for our Christmas meal and everyone agreed this was the best by far! Thank you Zoe and your fabulous team!

Popped in for a pre Christmas lunch & had a great meal today. We are working our way through the menu on each visit & we both opted for fish & chips today with mushy peas & tartar sauce. It was great! Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. We will be back soon!😁

I took my mother to lunch here today & we had a great meal very reasonably priced. The food was lovely, we had Hunters chicken & Gammon with a couple of drinks. My mum & I really enjoyed it & the food was nice & hot. All the staff were very nice & welcoming & it shows sports on TVs as well. A friendly, welcoming pub with a huge car park. Family visit for Sunday lunch. Booked a wheelchair accessible table by phoning in advance. There is a ramp to the front entrance and numerous tables suitable for wheelchair users. We ordered from the Sunday menu and the main menu. All meals were piping hot and well presented. Generous portions and tasty food. All the staff we came into contact with were really pleasant and helpful. Will definetly return and recommend to others!

Hadn't been here in a while and pleased to say the place is as good as it was when I last visited. The food was excellent (the burgers, omg, delicious!) and the staff were very friendly. Definitely going to be a regular place I visit now! A+ on everything 😁

I've visited this pub several times over the past few years. The staff have always been friendly and the service excellent. The food is very good value for money, but the main thing for me is that it's clean.

Have not visited for a while (work, lack of car, pandemics to blame). Have been for my birthday in January and again today each time with family. Really highly recommend. Staff are friendly, drinks are always spot on and the food just seems to get better every time I go. The salt beef and beer cheese sandwich is really nice and the All Day English Brunch is one of the nicest I've ever had. The sausages are delicious, the eggs are cooked perfectly and taste great, the beans are lovely and the bacon is perfect. Not a spot of grease anywhere to be seen. Very impressed, very tasty. Lovely cosy atmosphere as well.

My wife and I went to the Windmill Werrington Saturday evening with a couple of friends. I have never had a burger in a pub before but all four of us plumped for burgers. I can definitely say that I have been missing out for years, they were delicious. Supplemented by a good beer and followed by a nice coffee.

Superb place. Great friendly and welcoming staff. The food was superb, the lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended and will most certainly visit again.

Called in for a quick lunch and ordered ham. egg and chips. Huge piece of ham, two eggs perfectly presented and "home made" chips, a splendid meal at a very reasonable price. Then had apple and blackcurrant pudding with custard, plenty of custard not a miserable drop. Enjoyed the meal very much and at a very reasonable cost. The acid test.. would I go there again? I most certainly will. Full marks to all involved.

What a fantastic night. A ticket only event that was not over sold like many other pubs on New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere was excellent and the evening was celebrated with a lovely crowd of people. Ive been going to The Windmill regularly for the past 4-5 years and last night was not up to its usual standard by a long way. I'd invited 2 friends to join me and while one of their main courses exceeded expectation (Beef & Ale pie) the other 2 were less so. I reccommended the sharing platter and I was surprised by how quickly it was served, which should have warned me. It was forgetgable go say the least and when I told my server there was little reaction and at £9+ it was pretty bad.The mains, again, were poor apart from the B&A pie. The staff were pleasant but something has changed, maybe the chef? On last nights performance I wouldn't reccommend it and that's the first time. Sorry guys, I'll praise you when you deserve it but not on this occasion.

Been going here for years, the last few visits made to feel very unwelcome, all the staff are family of the landlady, food chucked at you and not allowed to comment!! Restaurant manager is landlady’s mum !! Such a shame this pub is the talk of Werrington now and not for good reasons!! Change the landlady and bring back our nice family local !!

We arrived at lunchtime having not booked a table, but we were promptly allocated a table.Lovely friendly staff, very efficient and accommodating.Ordered the sirloin, and also the hunters chicken with gammon. The sirloin was a lovely generously thick chunk of steak, but unfortunately this may have led to it coming out more rare than medium rare as ordered. The hunters chicken was devine, but the gammon appeared to be under cooked at one end. The garlic bread is only toasted on one side, therefore is not as crisp as expected.The cake and pot of tea is an absolute bargain, the carrot cake being enough to share.

We visited The Windmill to celebrate our daughters birthday, the table was pre booked in advance and as soon as we arrived we were shown straight to our table. We were greeted by a very warm welcome from a young lady called Thea. Beautiful pub with a nice atmosphere. The meals didn’t take long to arrive at our table, we had starters and a main course for 7 of us. All the food was delicious and the service was of a very high standard. The staff were run off there feet and they all did a great job to look after everyone. No doubt we will be visiting this pub/restaurant again as the prices are also very good, food plentiful and tasty to say the least.

Lovely welcoming staff on arrival. Table service too so no need to walk around the pub which was nice with the current situation. One of us had the signature hunter chicken which was massive! Well presented and very tasty. Partner had the mixed grill, and being very fussy about meat we asked for it to be cremated. After eating half of his steak he found the other half quite pink inside. The waitress kindly asked the kitchen to make another steak, which came out perfectly cooked. He did say after she had left the table it was a shame as the well cooked part was delicious. Happy with how the issue was dealt with and thanks to the kitchen he was able to enjoy a full steak on his grill. Just a shame we didn’t have room for dessert as looking round the pub they looked just as yummy as our mains. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Due to personal reasons we were so apprehensive about going out, But I have to say our first night out since logdown, our first time back at the Mill was the best. Zoe and the team were just so great, so organised and safe, we will definitely be back again soon, thank you so much to the everyone at the Windmill.

I visited here with my husband for the first time since lockdown. I can’t rate them highly enough for their really friendly staff, good choice of wine, beers, spirits and soft drinks but more importantly their efforts to make the pub so safe from the dreaded virus without losing the welcoming atmosphere. Everything has been really well thought out and although I was a bit nervous before I went in I was immediately put at ease. Friends had visited previously and also said that the food was really good so we’ll be trying a meal there soon. I hope you enjoy your visit, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Booked a table on line here for Thursday 6.30pm,09/07/2020 first date night since lock down.So well organised you can order and pay from your table or someone will take your order.Tables spaced out didn't once feel anyone was to close.One way system to enter ,exit the restaurant.Toilets are strictly one in one out.Staff clean tables and chairs as people leave. Limited menu at the moment but still lots of choice, will definitely be back for Sunday lunch. X

Before the country comes to a complete standstill we thought we would go out for lunch while we still could.There was hand sanitizer at the door n a note asking all customers to use it,the pub was spotless n the service was brilliant,all the menus and salts n peppers etc we clean (my pet hate) and the manager sat everyone at a distance and the food was lovely,well done manager and brilliant staff,we felt completely relaxed and enjoyed an hour out amongst the madness

Came here for a family meal. The food was served cold and one order came wrong! I ordered a cider which came flat and dirty. When questioning the land lady she was very rude and unfriendly. Will not be coming here again!

Family meal out for a birthday. Placed on a table that would have been fine if the football match wasn’t on the tv in the restaurant area and there was rowdy fans sitting next to us...Ordered 3 mixed grills...one was ordered without peas, came with peas. Chicken was dry, steak was mainly fat. And no mushrooms on any of them. Chicken and mushroom pie was bland and the mash was hard. Chickpea curry was microwaved, with tasteless rice. ‘Minted Lamb shank’ (they say minted but it comes with a pot of mint sauce you have to apply yourself) it was chewy and had to be cut off the bone. It was in a giant Yorkshire pudding with mash, gravy, peas and carrots. The Yorkshire was soggy underneath and rock hard around the edges. (Definitely not fresh!!) Any of the meals that came with gravy had a shots worth of the thickest gravy ever and the mash potatoes were hard and heavy. Nobody came over to check the meals were okay, which is when we would have asked for some mustard for a mixed grill and complained there was things missing/weren’t right. We came here for my younger sisters birthday meal treat and she wanted pizza, ended up with bangers and hard mash because they had no pizza whatsoever. Will not be returning.

We visited The Windmill, Werrington this evening for a surprise birthday bash, looked a really nice pub from the outside and we weren’t disappointed when we went inside. Very nice comfy cosey with a good atmosphere. The staff were really pleasant and polite and was nice to see Thea who works there. They staff were constantly on the go and didn’t stop. The buffet that was put on was really nice and tasty. We will visit this establishment again. :-)

Popped in for some lunch with my mother in law and kids on the off chance service was brilliant the gentleman that served me was very polite and helped me to the table with my drinks. Food was cooked to order and great value. I will definitely be visiting again.

Attended Werrington Wasps FC Christmas do. Lovely buffet provided for the Wasps, excellent selection food. Nice atmosphere with excellent staff and entertainment.

Attended with friends and family, including my two children. The staff couldn’t of been more helpful. They fetched colouring books and crayons to keep them good, which was great. There was a great selection of drinks on offer, including Christmas selections of mulled wine, mulberry gin and gingerbread rum. The food came and was a good portion and tasted delicious. Really good value for the money. My husband doubled up his sirloin which was well worth the deal, although very filling. The meals were cooked to perfection. Great range of desserts for afters as well. All in all I was really impressed and will definitely be returning.

Visited this pub and there was the most fantastic atmosphere and a children's Christmas Party in full swing everyone enjoying themselves but not to the detriment of the other customers food lovely and hot service very good other places take a leaf out of the windmills book a fabulous community spirit will definitely return again. keep it up the windmill.

Just been for lunch just a sandwich and a few drinks, it was shocking, and we have been going to the windmill past few years and it has always been brill, what a let down.
