Haven't been to a wimpy bar for ages. Was always a Friday after school treat for me. The Dorking was my closest but that's shut. So off to Horsham I drive. This branch is clean, friendly efficient staff and the food was how I remember. Had the international grill with extra burger. Too full for dessert. Only thing that is stopping me giving 5 stars is because it is expensive for what you get. However will not stop me visiting again

We hadn't been to a wimpy in donkeys years and we were pleasantly surprised. I should first say that the staff in the Horsham restaurant are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was good and the chicken wrap I had was easily better than the equivalent from McDonald's or KFC. Friends had burgers and chips and food was lovely and hot and freshly cooked. I know the menu is kind of retro and some items are still on there from decades ago but I kind of liked that it wasn't only burgers or wraps. Would def visit the Horsham location again. Staff were far better than in most fast food locations. Table service a blast from the past as well. Excellent for what we were after.

I have not been to Wimpy since I was a child , decided to take my children and was very impressed ! Friendly , quick service . Children loved their food and commented it’s now fav restaurant ! We will be back .

Wow ! old fashioned service and amazing breakfast , the waiter couldn’t do enough for us , he was friendly just like I remember as a kid , the food was lovely , well priced and the decor retro and loveable , I think wimpy bars need to make a comeback and open up more branches ,

I haven’t been into a Wimpey in years. The service and staff were amazing. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table. Nothing was too much trouble and service always with a smile. The burgers were good and served quickly. A treat to have a sit down burger served by real people!

Light luncheon with a few friends. The restaurant was clean and welcoming and the service friendly and quick. Plenty of decent choices on the menu and the food was good.

This is a very welcome blast from the past, What fantastic men and all cooked to perfection. Don't change anything this was a fantastic treat to actually eat at a Wimpy. We drove 20 miles just to visit this amazing place

We hadn't been to a Wimpy in Thirty years. We saw this one and gave it a try. It was great. We had lunch. Wimpy burgers and Brown Derbys. Fantastic. The service was friendly too.

they know exactly what I like, how I like it, whether I eat in or take out - consistently great for me excellent service, friendly staff - great value for money reminds me when I was small and pre-macdonalds days, nostalgic eating on actual plates

I grew up with Wimpey and always had a soft spot for them. We went to the one in Horsham and the burgers we had were greasy and gristly, literally the same as you get out of a burger van. I had an upset stomach afterwards, but obviously can’t say for certain if the burger caused it. We won’t be back and Wimpey won’t command the same nostalgia now!

we go to the wimpy because I like the burgers as they taste good compared to the alternatives that are not in the town anymore. very overpriced for what it is but hey.

Popped in with my daughter for lunch. I haven't been in a Wimpy for about 10 years. My daughter and I enjoyed our meals, she having the wimpy cheese burger and me having the cheese and onion toastie. All food was hot and service was quick considering the amount of customers on a Sunday. Great choice of food to choose from, not only the burgers, but toasties, salads and Jackets. Will return to try out the deserts.

Mine was horrid. Burger thin and had lump gristle. Dry roll , limp lettuce and hardly any sauce. Husband preferred his but agreed would not return

Thoroughly enjoyed my burger and chips here. Food was lovely and hot and the chap in the kitchen moved at high speed so whilst it took a little while for our order to be taken, the food came out promptly and hot. Will def return!

Rude staff, toilets dirty - my cheesy onion ring exploded, and the manager just said “well it’s hot” yet i picked it up and it literally exploded in my hand- if my niece picked this up it could have caused more damage. Staff need more training.

We enyoyed an all day breakfast her with some good strong coffee ! The service is fast and the staff are friendly. Will be back again in the future.

If you like a wimpy you will love this place, first class food clean and friendly staff and polite. Well worth a visit..

I haven't been to the Wimpy in about 20 years but it has surely stood the test of time. The "all day breakfast" is the same, and I really enjoyed the sausage that is part of it. A coffee with an extra shot (making it really strong) was just what I needed. Testament to it's popularity is that it was fully packed out and we had to wait for a table (only about 5 mins, though).

Been going here for years now and it’s still the same classic wimpy feeling from 20 years ago

Very busy at lunch time but the waitress found us a table straight away and service was good very tasty burgers (1/4 pounders with chips ) and quickly served

Can't really understand why people knock the Wimpy. You know what they serve. It's not top quality, but it's always reliable and the food hot. Personallly I love the quarter pounder with cheese ,it's the sauce. Much better than McD's.

Visited this wimpy today and it was awful experience. The place was not busy on a Monday afternoon but the waitress took a while to notice us sitting at a table. We had to get up and get our own menu and slowly she came and took our order. She firstly gave hot pot of tea to our 4 year old grandson.. Then she didn't even bother to get our grandchildren milkshakes for another 10 minutes, then she walked around with them on a tray serving other customers before giving our children their drinks. Then our burgers arrived!? Mind was smothered in so much mustard inside I had to scrape it off. My boyfriends bacon and cheese burger had no cheese inside. Our grandchildren had to wait another 15 minutes before they bothered to bring over some chicken nuggets. Lucky our grandchildren children are good because they had to wait for everything.

visited the restaurant on Saturday and had the wimpy grill with an extra burger. now I like the Wimpy burgers as they taste , unlike the obvious rivals which have no taste. the grill in my opinion has too many fries bur serving a fried egg that hard is disgraceful. when I challenged this I was told by the young girl that I should have requested the egg cooked soft. so I asked why the menu shows a soft egg and was bluntly told that is only and example not what you get. I can confirm that under the trade descriptions act they are totally wrong!!!! the picture depicts what the customer should expect on the meal delivered and then duly pay for. HORSHAM WIMPY you suck for your attitude and lack of respect for the customer. so my review is based on the attitude of the Girl taking my money and flippant attitude and the egg that was not edible. My wife can cook hard eggs that's why we do not let her cook.

Best big breakfast in town, friendly service by Mo and his team. Would recommend and would definitely go again.

Fuimos a comer y estaba muy lleno. El personal nos encontró un asiento rápidamente y nos sirvieron rápidamente. Yo vivo en Horsham y pop en aquí para un bocado para comer un par de veces al año. Mis padres me llevó a la original en el Carfax en Wimpy Horsham cuando era un niño y cuando éste abrió sus puertas a finales de los 70 empezamos a venir aquí. El menú no ha cambiado mucho en años y su agradable tener una hamburguesa y patatas fritas fresco cada vez.

Ambiente acogedor, te hace sentir muy bienvenido. La comida es buena y el personal es excelente. Es un excelente lugar si solo quieres sentarte fuera del camino y leer el periódico mientras come o incluso disfrutar de un momento de tranquilidad, o sentarse en la parte delantera con su familia.

I took my 5 year old to Wimpy yesterday. I told her we could go out for lunch and it was her immediate suggestion. My review today is not about the food. Anyone who has been there knows you get good, fresh food fast. My review today is about your customer service and how it helped me teach my little girl a life lesson.One of your customers was putting on her coat. Without hesitation one of the lovely ladies who works at wimpy went over to her made sure her scarf was on correctly and that her coat was zipped up and ready to go out in the cold weather. I heard her say 'see you tomorrow' to the customer. The customer must have needed a little extra help and the waitress was only too happy to help. She didn't see her customer as an inconvenience and didn't try to rush her. Thank you Wimpy for hiring staff that are this helpful. It made my day and I hoped my little girl learned something from a simple kind gesture.

It was early in Horsham walking down West Street, and Wimpy was open. I ordered the standard breakfast with a Cappuccino, both arrived very quick and where excellent value for money. The staff where attentive and knowledgeable, the whole place was clean and bright and cheery. I will certainly visit again.

One of the first Names to appear in England - I really thought most of these burger bars had faded into History! - pleased to report its all go in Sussex and this particular one in Horsham provided a group of us with a very nice lunch at a reasonable price and the service was pretty good too.

Whenever I'm in Horsham its always a pleasure to visit Wimpy. The restaurant is comfortable, has lots of character and the menu offers simple and delicious diner food.It is more expensive than the average diner / café however Horsham has very limited lunchtime dining options. Also I feel that the prices are reasonable compared to local competitors. This place is one of the few places in Horsham I would say is good to bring children too. However suggested improvements could include considering adding customer Wifi.The décor and menu can be seen as a little bit dated, but this sort of adds to its uniqueness. Also Horsham has many chain restaurant competitors that offer their very routine, similar and generic menus. whereas the food here is simple but tasty, especially their burgers.The main thing that I like about this Wimpy is the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. They are always smiling and very welcoming. They are also super efficient and the wait for food is always very short, even at busy times. Finally, whenever I visit here, I pick up the sense of how popular this Diner is in the local community. There seem to be many regular customers who are on friendly terms with the staff. This is always a good sign in a restaurant.

We came to Horsham for some shopping and a quick bite to eat. Service is good, tables clean. Prices are fair but they could do with it being a bit better value. Whether that be a meal deal which includes a drink or some side salad with the burger and chips perhaps.Portions are average but £25 for 3 fairly small meals with a drink each I felt did not represent good value for money.

I generally order "Mo's" breakfast but all the usual items are available. Aside from the cramped seating, it is a good experience. Food and drink are top notch for this sort of place. Tends to attract the less stylish sort of clientele but you can't have everything.

My Grandparents used to take me here when I was a little girl and now I'm taking my children! Wimpy still has the same smiley face running it as I remember from when I was young and the staff are always incredibly friendly.It's refreshing to still have somewhere in town where you can go for simple, good food. None of this fancy drizzle on your plate or a rocket salad. This is a great place for a proper burger and chips, a cooked brekkie or a naughty pudding topped with Whippy ice cream.

Since the local McDonald's closed this place has had less competition and now only the local Wetherspoon establishment competes on price and quality.It seems amazing that the Wimpy brand and concept has endured so well.Although the offerings are fairly basic and the tables and chairs are a little cramped, it's always good here and no-one can grumble about the prices. You don't expect 'haute cuisine' in a Wimpy!Service, in my opinion, is also very good.

Myself and my fiancée visited wimped last week and we had a great meal in a clean and well run restaurant , the food was freshly cooked and served very efficiently ,the price was just right great experience as always .well done Mo

Very unhappy with the service, slow and ignored. Personally overpriced for what it is. Food was tasteless and not very appetising.

We had 2 burger meals for £10 I wasn't expecting a big burger than what we got also the portion size chips were good will be visiting again in future.

at 7am on a Saturday morning there ain't many places open for business,but wimpy was.I hadn't been in a wimpy for probably close on 20 years and what immediately struck me was how clean and stylish the place looked,then I ordered the food and was wowed by the excellent charming host ,anyway I ordered the mid priced breakfast which taste wise was good but size wise was more like a child size meal,my immediate thought was with brilliant well placed premises fantastic workforce and nice ingredients, what a lost opportunity,with a bit of good salesmanship a decent deal or two and a few promotional offers wimpy could rise again and be the place to go on the high street,I feel like getting in touch with the owners as they have it there to be big I only hope they don't miss out as I feel they probably will.

A really nice dinner we both had half pounder chips and beans, a beautiful apple pie and ice cream, very nice. But I can't help thinking £25 for two is a little on the expensive side for what is is.

As someone who liked to go to a Wimpy in my teenage years (quite some time ago now...) and would never fail to finish my meal with a 'knickerbocker glory' I think it's great that this brand has endured.This one in Horsham is one of the best ones. It's kept very clean, the staff are friendly and efficient and it's always a pleasure when I have the occasional breakfast here.I know some folk think of Wimpy as a dated and old-fashioned concept but I like it and so do many others, judging by its continued popularity.

My husband and I often go to the wimpy for breakfast on a weekend morning. Mo and his team always welcome us and make sure we have everything we want including tailoring or order if necessary. Always hot, consistently good. Good value for money and a nice atmosphere. Thanks Mo.

This is a good place for lunch can get busy and a little hot when packed. Eaten here many times over the years always consisitant.

We managed to get the last table on a busy, sunny Saturday. However, the service was quick and staff were courteous. Wimpy food hasn't really moved on since I was a child but you could look at it as nostalgic! I find it reasonably priced. We visit this restaurant once every couple of months usually only for tea and a tea cake but they never mind how much or how little you order and always remember us and ask how we are. They appear to have regulars who seem equally as happy. Today may have taken a little longer than normal but it wasn't too long and we still received an apology as it wasn't as quick as usual. For fast food with a friendly attitude you won't go far wrong in visiting this branch in Horsham.

I feel stingy for only awarding 3 stars (dots?) in my earlier review.This Wimpy can be quiet when other places are busy, service is fast, efficient and friendly and the food is good and cooked properly. What more could you want?The Wimpy brand has endured for many years and is older than the other fast-food 'restaurant' chains. And, it's still better than them if slightly more expensive. But it's worth it because you don't have to queue at the counter to order.

We popped into here as neither of us have been to a wimpy in years. The cheeseburger meal was ok and the value isn't bad but I was a little concerned behind the scenes. I visited the toilets and in my opinion they could do with a deep clean and a lick of paint! I am surprised that the extractor fan works with the amount of dust in it! Attention to detail is required!

Good staple food and nicely cooked often use when in town. Can be noisy as popular with young mothers and there off spring.

My other half and I went into wimpy on the bank holiday weekend, everywhere was rammed full of people and wimpy was surprisingly quiet, we went in there, got greeted and handed a menu instantly and asked for our drinks. We ordered and our food arrived no longer than 10 minutes after we ordered. Amazing, the cooks were cooking a good 10+ other orders but ours still arrived well cooked, and definitely tasty. Definitely recommend going to Wimpy! The waitresses are friendly too!

Wimpy in Horsham is a great place to stop for a quick cuppa' or a builders breakfast. The prices are recession-friendly, the service is spectacular and the environment is archetypal of a good old-fashioned diner. Horsham is bursting with coffee shops and posh restaurants with Wimpy providing something unique and brilliant!

Although a local resident I have only been in this place about 3 or 4 times in the last few years. Popped in with a friend for a mid-morning breakfast each just before Christmas. It was a very cheap deal and fine, I also ordered a milkshake which was tasty. The service was swift and friendly from a delightful young waitress who well deserved her tip. The place was fairly busy with a nice enough atmosphere.I used to frequent Wimpys as a youth in the 70's, and things seem the same as they were then, from the type of tables to the menu choices.I wouldn't want to put anyone off coming here as this place is o k.

Been going here since the 1970's when the restaurant was located in the Carfax and now being in the pedestrianised West Street. The atmosphere is great and the food was as good as always. The menu was changed a few months ago but still provides a good selection if not even better. If you go on a Saturday be aware that it is likely to be fairly full between 12 - 2pm but it always was. Generally you only have to await a few minutes for a table to become vacant. On this particular occasion the service was very fast despite being almost full up. The prices have gone up over the years and some items on the menu are a bit on the expensive side but overall I think it is good value for menu. See you there!

It looked just the same, felt the same and smelt the same. Prices have gone up though.I only ever have the mo's breakfast special (mixed cooked breakfast), it's not on the menu its on an A board outside the shop it's good value, but the official wimpy menu....it belongs to a time we are trying to forget. If only the family that run it could open a independent cafe.

If you want to revisit the 70s, this is the place for you, from the Formica and plastic seating to the frozen fish, chips and peas, even the payment via a docket with your order paid in person at the till will remind you why we are so keen to forget the 70s.

The Wimpy brand and this particular restaurant has not changed since my childhood and in today's market it really is quite dated. You often hear of new McDonald's or Burger King restaurants opening, but when was the last time you heard of the opening of a new Wimpy? I cannot help but think that unless Wimpy changes with the times it will go the same sad way as famous names such as Happy Eater and Little Chef. The food is not too bad but not too good either. It is expensive compared with the likes of McDonald's. Yes you get to eat it off a china plate but it is not worth paying extra for the privilege. Sorry Wimpy but times have changed. A bender in a bun was no doubt acceptable in the 1980s but this is now 2014.

This Wimpy is clean, the staff are well-trained and thoughtful, the food is very good and the price surprised us. We were staying at the Travelodge which frankly does not provide breakfast - unless you like muffins and fruit juice!

Popped into wimpy for lunch today and its just like being taken back through my childhood, the chap behind the counter is the same bloke only a little greyer and older as I am.The food order was taken quickly and my food was freshly cooked and brought over to me I love the cheese sauce on the 1/2 pounder. I would recommend getting there before 12 pm as they get busy.Love having lunch here and will hopefully continue to have many more here.

Me and my friend fancied a change from McDonalds so I suggested wimpy we quickly got served and we got are food shortly after it was good quality and very nice I would recommend here if you are looking for a cheap good value lunch

Went to Wimpy for a quick lunch and was disappointed overall. The service was good and the food came out fairly quickly. The burger was a low quality value style burger in a poor quality bun, although the chips weren't terrible. Overall the service was good but the food wasn't great value for money and I won't be going back.

Me and my partner visited the Horsham wimpy a little while ago for lunch as i have often been partial to a bender burger in the past at other wimpy stores. Unfortunately this wimpy was just lame, the atmosphere was so depressing n there was a woman near us who had some sort of white cream(possibly mayonnaise) escaping the clutches of her mouth and resting on her chin. As if that wasn't a sorry enough scene she was later accused of not paying even though she had. Also the bender burgers now seem alot smaller than they used to be.

I visit Wimpy in Horsham quite regularly when working in Horsham. Always been served very quickly food has always been excellent and hotThe staff are very friendly and the owner (Mo) is a lovely guy who pays attention to every customer ensuring that you get the best possible serviceI would recommend Wimpy Horsham to anyone and would highly recommend the Mo's Breakfast

The Wimpy chain seem to have been around as long as I can remember, and more than that, apart from the prices are exactly the ame - like stepping back in a time warp - although having said that, service was Ok and food served good and hot. Very good value meal.

Always a treat! Fast affordable delicious food always delivered with a smile. Even when busy the staff never appear flustered and I have never seen any of the lovely staff appear rushed, bored or in a bad mood. If only I could visit everyday! A real credit to the Wimpy franchise.

really enjoy coming here regularly. My daughter and i often pop in for veggie burger which is always delicious and the staff are very welcoming and the service excellent. Want a burger and fries? This will give it to you. Not great, but the burgers were a lot like the 99 cent burgers at McDonald's, only five times as expensive. Tasted okay.

Went for lunch with my mother that came to visit from South Africa. She wanted to go because the Wimpy in SA is outstanding with both food and service. We waited for about 10 mins before our order was taken with only 5 other tables in the shop. Got the bill before we even got any drinks. I ordered the Steak pannini with cheese, but if you can find any steak on there you would be very good, 6 small slivers of something they call steak. My mom ordered the mushroom burger and was the driest burger I have ever seen in my 38 years on this planet.In short Wimpy will never ever see me or any of my friends or family again. if you are use to good fast food Wimpy Horsham is not the place to go to rather go to Mcdonalds I am sure the food is better there.

We are always given a nice welcome and enjoy the simple cafe food. Mo's special is the best ;)
