Food was very Bad both had Food poisoning the next day will never come or go back again would not Recommend anyone eating this food good luck 👍

Maybe the fish and chips are different, but I had Chinese and sadly it was horrendous. Ribs in barbecue sauce which tasted of nothing resembling a rib or barbecue sauce and I couldn’t bring myself to eat more than one, then I had a king prawn curry with egg fried rice, this just tasted atrocious, a thick tasteless sauce, a few prawns which tastes of nothing and all in all extremely disappointing. Very poor quality and quite expensive too. I haven’t had this bad a Chinese for years.

Friendly & cheerful staff, great fish & chips, would go again if ever over that way. We all thoroughly enjoyed it

On a mangé des frites molles et pas fraîches, ensuite le "porc" était dur et pas savoureux. Seul le goût de l'huile est resté dans ma bouche

Limpy fries, sweet and sour "pork" is not even close to sweet, only my clothes got a taste of it

Very expensive? Food taste horrible and small portion. Never ever again . charge me £6 for very tiny portion of chips and a small tub of cury.

We moved to Willen almost 2 months ago and we have been here a good few times for the chip side and Chinese. The food is really good, service is fantastic and staff are very friendly. As you know we will be back.

Recently visited MK with work and sampled the Willen Fish Bar, fish and chips and was very impressed. Great taste, great portion size and great value.

I have used this place in the past with no problems, but sadly this last visit will be my last. Service was prompt and friendly, but the food was disappointing. The fish was covered in very thick and soggy batter. The portion of chips was small and the food was lukewarm.

Such a shame that we received such awful service today! we have been using this chinese for 2-3 years however we (for the second time) received the incorrect order, we called to ask for the two items which were missing and was told over the phone that they ‘wrote it down wrong’ and to go back to collect the correct items, once we were there we were told we had to pay for the dishes even though we had already paid and not received the items when we refused to pay extra for their mistake, we were met with rudeness and an aggressive shove of our food across the counter - if we didn’t catch it it would’ve ended up on the floor! will not be returning again- no apology for their mistake, we had already given them the benefit of doubt after it happened before - mistakes happen but there is no need for very rude behaviour towards regular customers

Absolutely terrible customer service. I was waiting to be be served and they were talking to each ither in their own language completely ignoring me. A man walks in to order food and gets served immediately. I thought how rude to completely ignore me and not serve me after standing there for 5 mins waiting. Will not be coming back to order here again. Ps i never got served as i decided to take my business else where.😡😡

Normally we like the fish and chips here , but unfortunately wasn’t good last night . Order large fish so had to wait 10 mins for it to be cooked which was fine . But when we got it home fish was over cooked and batter was full of grease , chips were really soggy . Won’t be going back for a while . ☹️

Long standing Fish N Chip shop that never fails to deliver good food. Chinese and standard fish and chips. Good polite team and good service

The fish was thin and quite dry. The batter was thicker than the fish itself. I had a large cod because they had one ready and it really wasn’t much larger than normal size from other fish & chip shops. The portion of chips was also quite small and not very tasty

Ordered just chips which I was told were just being fried. Had no problem waiting. Tiny portion and mostly Crackling and really small chips. It was if that was the end of a batch but the elderly Chinese lady said they were being fried fresh? I asked for open and she went ahead and wrapped them. When I asked again if I could have them open she said too late!! I pointed out I had already said so. She then felt it was acceptable to start rambling off in her own language no doubt insulting me. Rubbish chips and rubbish customer service. Never again!

best chips in MK, made from fresh potatoes. This You should try here, u won't be dissapointed. Staff is really friendly greets you from miles away. Old Asian woman working here is fantastic. Chinese food is good here but not top1. Prices also ok

I just bought 1 fish & chips with an extra fish on the side. £10.20 this cost us, the chip portion was smaller than a child's normal portion and the fish tasted ever so greasy, no seasoning whatsoever. It was disappointing to open my fish and chips to find that the portion size was tiny for the price that i paid. The member of staff was friendly however i will not be returning.

I have been a regular at Willen Take Away for some time and have always found the staff to be very friendly and polite. The Chinese food is always good and ready in no time at all. The place is very clean- spotless in fact, which gives me the confidence that what I am buying has been cooked in clean conditions. I would recommend this place to anyone in the local area.

Great Quality Chinese Food and the Fish and Chips are equally as good!

We got fish and chips here on 9th March.

Regular visitor to this establishment and never disappointed. Would also recommend the Fish and Chips as its always very fresh and portion sizes are spot on.

This has been my occasional local until today, purely for convenience and not because of the food quality or customer experience! I added an item to the order and you’d think I had insulted the woman’s family! She then shook her head as I asked for the cod that she had forgotten to put in the order.I then asked for the one piece of cod at the front of the cabinet that, out of 2 pieces, didn’t look like it had a huge batter protrusion on the side of it instead of fish! I was told stroppily that they were both the same and she reluctantly swapped it for the one already in her hand. When I do next fancy a chippy tea I will go somewhere that takes card payment, there is no legitimate reason for a static business premises like this to not have a card machine in this day and age! Overall poor service .....however I would recommend Pardis Meal next door, as a newcomer the food is good , portions are good and most importantly there is some respect for the people that line their pockets( and not just with cash! ).

Worst takeaway in the world. I ordered chips, no chips in the bag. Absolutely no flavour. The fortune cookie was soft, couldn’t believe it as they are meant to be crispy. I feel like they have had these sitting around for years. Never again!

Terrible food and bad service go to the takeaway nextdoor, best food in Milton Keynes by far. Burgers and Pizza is well recommended by me.

Travelling home, we stopped at Willen Fish Bar, which we have done before, the fish and chips are excellent, and are cooked to order, the batter is crispy, fish is lovely and the chips are also very good, the staff are very friendly, but it is also a Chinese takeaway, fully recommend coming here.

It's our local and always good. Skinless fish and crisp batter. A1 in the Chinese easily feeds 2. Lovely staff.

We order sweet and sour chicken balls and egg fried rice and the chicken balls was cold and very greasy and egg fried rice was cod and sauce was little red sauce and not happy with the food and it was cold and greasy and a waste of our money and won't be returning to this place

Been using this fish and chip shop for years staff are always friendly and helpful good range of the usual fish and chip shop food and a very good Chinese menu as well so plenty of choice

Have eaten fish and chips and the wonderful Chinese Food from here over the last 8 years.The food is always great- really tasty and fresh. The ladies and one gentlemen are always happy and chatty and welcoming.

I often treat myself to a small bag of chips and a large sausage- simple, aye, but just what you need some days. They also do all the classic chippie staples well, as well as being a Chinese takeaway at heart. Oh, and a small chops serves my wife as well as myself- very generous folks!

Willen Fish Bar is far and away the best chip shop in Milton Keynes that I've been to. The chips are always excellent and taste very nice, and the prices are reasonable! In addition the portions are always very generous and after probably going hundreds of times I've never been disappointed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes their Chip Shops, I cannot comment on the Chinese side of things as I have never purchased any Chinese food from the restaurant.

Did not enjoy the food from here at all, spent nearly £40 on family meal, will not go here again. Certainly would not recommend.

Had our first trip to this fish and chip shop today. Really horrible fish soooo much hard batter and a tiny piece of fish inside even though it cost us £13.20 for large portions. All of it was tasteless. Won't be going back there
