Extremely dissapointed service poor food luke warm. Complaint not taken seriously service non existing. If the waiter had bothered to ask I would have told them food was luke warm, presentation poor. Extremely salty.

Party of 4 went to wildwood Birmingham and it was the worst experience I had the food microwaved dry tasteless turkey roast very tiny piece of undercooked veg 3 pieces of chip size carrot parsnip and beetroot all tough and dry chicken breast on top gravy like water absolutely disgusting food pizza soggy avoid this restaurant alfi charge £118 with a hidden added charge if £10 I wish I went to a fish n chip shop than wasted my money eating bad food Close it down because refused refund on mobile we have to travel 2 house to go back for a refund. Manager was joke no experience in restaurants or food quality

Having made a complaint about the appalling service and poor standard of food I am still awaiting a response to my complaint nearly a month later. Dishes served with key ingredients missing, when raised as a concern I was advise they weren’t missing, they simply didn’t have that ingredient available. When asked if they thought maybe they should be advising their customers, I was greeted with a shoulder shrug and told they would speak to their manager. Not sure where said manager is but again still waiting for them to get back to me. Totally ruined a family day out and won’t be going back.

Booked a table online where you have access to the view the menu this was reduced however still plenty of regular favourites on it , upon arrival we are great by a member of staff with a piece of paper approx A5 in size (tiny)to be told "we have a reduced menu we are not serving Pizza,Pasta or burgers " sorry where is this info when you book I asked ? It has been reported to management but we're the only branch that hasn't changed the menu online yet !!!! Very poor indeed you are getting beaten but smaller independent cafe/restaurants in Ludlow who are on top of their game , spent our money in The Bakehouse instead which was fantastic service and food selection you could learn from them .

Visited for Lunch, wife has had various operations on her digestive systems, and she chose a rissotto on the understanding it could be served witout chilli. Food arrived, first mouthful she exclaimed 'this has chili in', waitress was called back, said she had told kitchen 'no chili', took the meal away to be replaced. Same mussels came back, washed and lukewarm. No apology at any time. Debbie's mouth was swollen by the chilli, ruining our afternoon.

Dropped in for a late lunch when visiting ludlow with a friend this week, it was about 1.30pm and there were about another 3/4 tables taken. The staff were helpful and polite but the serice was sooooooooo slow a good half hour wait for starter (garlic bread) and a long pause for the mains. The food when it came was tasty and hot. Had to take home pudding or we wouldn't have had time to see the town.

The food was very nice, and we were thrilled to get the food half price as it was a Monday. However, hubby's prawn and chorizo was a bit bland (the chorizo should be chopped-up more and used to flavour the rice imho, to increase the depth of flavours) and my mushroom & chicken risotto needed a lot more seasoning. BUT - the biggest thing against our visit was that it was cold. I know it was quiet, but even so... I had to use my coat over my legs, it was that chilly - and the toilets were freeeeezzzing!!

We were staying for a few days in Ludlow and decided to eat here one evening. The restaurant goes back much further than you expect but was warm and pleasant. Service was good and friendly and the food was very enjoyable.

First of going to Wildwood. It was a Monday night and was very busy. Only 3 girls serving so service wasn’t very fast (not that it was the staff’s fault as they worked very hard and were very pleasant). The food was very nice and would go there again.

Lovely setting for restaurant, the Cobb Salad really delicious - possibly one of the most delicious, well presented meals I've ever tasted. Only let down by very slow service, luckily I was meeting a friend for lunch in our leisure time - had it been a work day we would have had to cancel our order & leave. I usually visit the Worcester Wildwood where service is prompt but now after two lengthy waits at Ludlow (both for lunch) I might think again before a repeat visit.

After a pleasant Christmas meal at Wildwood, we decided to visit again. There was a warm welcome and a varied menu with interesting choices. The service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the food we had chosen.

An enjoyable night with good food. First time visit to Wildwood in Ludlow for our friends. We were able to choose our table at the far end of the retaurant which was good. Service was a bit slow when we had finished the maln course. We had to call the waitress over to the table. Not a big issue at all.

Waited 10 minutes to be served, not even acknowledged by staff even though the premises were nearly empty. Got up and left.

Slow service tonight. Food was just fine and consistent with previous visits. All customers seemed to be redeeming their 50% discount vouchers. Main concern was the toilets - both gents and ladies were partly out of order and messy, with lots of hazard tape used to signify 'out of order', which didn't seem to deter some gents.

Staff appeared inexperienced and lacking knowledge of the products. The beer I ordered was unavailable but replaced with a similar product. We were asked by at least two different staff members if we'd like to order and I wasn't asked how I wanted a steak cooking. When I pointed this out I was informed that the till didn't offer this request! Another staff member then arrived and asked me how I'd like it cooking! The food was decidedly average and overpriced for what it was. Luckily I had a discount voucher which made it more tolerable

This is a lovely restaurant, the staff are friendly the food was delicious. Went in a couple of times during our stay, service is a little slow for food. On the breakfast menu I felt the portions were a little small for what we paid. Would return, the pizzas look very good.

Firstly I have to say I was impressed by the vegan options, we had two dairy free requirements in our group and to have so many options was refreshing, children’s meals included. That’s about where it ends for positivity...the service was painfully slow, staff not really trained in any kind of “customer service” though the waitress who served us wasn’t unpleasant, she seemed out of her depth. We had to leave without the children having their puddings, when I mentioned this to the staff member as I requested the bill (having had to wander around the restaurant to find someone as the waitress seemed to be ignoring our dirty plates), they shrugged....a missed opportunity to see what had disgruntled me but didn’t even ask the basic “how was your food”, “is every ok with your meal”. No desert menu offered. Cleared our own plates up. Also note to management, a deep clean is desperately needed: the heaters and light fittings thick with dust and cobwebs, the chairs need hoovering, I put my hand in the edge of the chair and they were full of bits of crusts etc. My daughter dropped a toy under one of the “benches”, it was so filthy under there with dirt, food debris and goodness knows what else, I left the toy!

Early January and not many customers. Took over an hour to get our meals and one round of drinks. A table that came in after us was served first. Didn't bother with puds as we may have been drawing a pension by the time they came.

We popped in for a second time here and once again waited over 15min to see a menu then longer to have our order taken. Others commented that service is always slow. Seems a shame as a nice spot in the town. Service needs an overhaul.

Called in for just a coffee but ended up with eggs Benedict and friend had poached eggs perfect with coffee to start the day.

Really disappointed in this restaurant, two of the four meals we ordered were dreadful and we sent them back which was a shame as we were out with friends to celebrate NYE , no atmosphere, disinterested staff .... wont go again .

We decided to have lunch in Ludlow, a nearby town that we know well, but at a restaurant we had not visited before.

Even though we visit Ludlow quite regularly this is the first time we had eaten here. Our son had told us that it was worth a visit.The meals we ordered arrived quickly, even before our drinks were served. Will certainly eat here again

Very abrupt staff at the door. We had booked online and they had a big party in so said they could seat us but only for hour and half,not really our problem. Dirty cutlery and toilets disgusting. Food ok but with so much competition I wouldn’t return.

Having visited this eatery under the former De Grey's ownership (we're not locals), we thought we would give it a try. Staff pleasant enough, but drinks (coffee and tea) took longer than average to arrive, and the food (two straightforward breakfast dishes) even longer. We were about to question where our orders were, when they arrived. The food was tasty but lukewarm, and the portion size a little on the small side. De Grey's is a tricky act to follow, but Wildwood should be capable of it. However, we left feeling that somehow or other, someone is not quite trying hard enough. The place is popular with customers, but sadly, there are severalpoor reviews ...

Table of four - sat down at 3pm didn’t get to order until 3.20 and coffee arrived at 3,30pm. There were four tables in the restaurant , all with people eating. Appalling service.

I don’t think catering for a large number is something that they are used to here, the service was appalling even though we pre-ordered weeks ago, waited ages for drinks on arrival. Turkey dinner was not up to standard and they used very cheap breast and there was a very poor selection and f veg. Nothing like a roast dinner! I have been here previously and had a lovely Lasagne, but would never pick this venue for a Christmas party again!

Booked in advance & pre ordered for Christmas family meal of 12 as previous had nice meal there.

Meal was absolutely terrible. Service was appalling. No Christmas spirit there at all. Complained about how hot the tagliatelle was, as I couldent eat it. There was no response from the waitress what so ever.

We’re went in to the restaurant with my son for pudding after our dinner at the pub.

Saturday evening, we arrived around 9 o'clock. Ordered 2 pizzas, a starter and a couple of drinks, and waited. And waited. Forty-five minutes later we left - after being assured that our order would arrive in fifteen minutes. Staff problems, we were told (and a riotous group upstairs). Also, our perception was that the staff lacked experience and were probably underpaid.

We ate here on fri/sat nights, and were not disappointed on either night. The staff were a littled hassled with a couple of Xmas groups on the Friday (who seemed more interesting in how much they could drink, and kept changing their mind over food!) But all that didn't stop good service on our table for two oldies. Both our dishes were fine on that night. Saturday we went for two different risottos. As lovers of Italy and that countries food we were not dissaponted again.

We had pre booked for a family Christmas get together.

This was my second visit of the week for a Christmas party both times equally disappointed ☹️ very slow food even though both times had been pre booked- we had to tell them what we had ordered as they hadn’t got the order even though I had checked on Monday. Food quality wasn’t great. On both occasions the bill was incorrect the first time overcharged by £70 the 2nd time by £50. Definitely won’t be returning for a party evening they can’t cope with numbers the young staff are doing their best but need some guidance from a manager

We had pre booked all our food, total confusion as to what had been booked, Slow service,slow service on drinks, average food. The staff are very friendly, but if you want to spend an entire evening waiting for your food and drinks to arrive, this is the place for you. Oh, and check your bill,pretty good at overcharging!!!

I would advise anybody who is silly enough to book here to check their bill . Had Christmas party on Thursday of this week and was over charged £70 . Went for another Xmas dinner and was over charged by £60. .

Went here Saturday , Medieval market day . Was given a breakfast menu even though we asked for lunch . Ordered coffee which took ages , still no lunch menu . My wife helped herself to the lunch menu . We eventually ordered peri peri chicken . One breast fillet with soggy skin and a boneless thigh with even soggier ski , obviously microwaved and really poor quality . We didn’t complain as we just wanted to leave . Very disappointing.

my friend and I visited Ludlow for the medieval markets it was packed we found Wildwood and went for breakfast,the presentation was great but food was just LUKE warm when the bill came there had been a slight mix up and another table had actually paid our bill so we paid slightly less than expected but the server pointed this out.Anyway a little later in the day we returned for lunch I ordered buttermilk chicken burger which at the cost of nearly £12 was definitely not worth the money and chips although hot to touch were raw in the middle to be fair the server adjusted the bill accordingly. At no point were we offered any condiments- there were none on the table and the staff were running round like headless chickens but tables were being left uncleared. I appreciate they were having an unexpectedly busy day but think they need to get their act together .

Visited wildwood today. Nothing was too much trouble. Dietary requirements were met. They delayed service until we all arrived. So obliging and we even had a voucher for money off in January and we will definitely be going back. Highly recommended

Very friendly staff and good service and food. Used promotional offer which gave good value for money.

Family of four quiet afternoon our table was prebooked. It wasn't busy only 4,5 other tables were allocated. Still after being shown our table we waited good 10 minutes for waitress to take drink orders and another 10 minutes for food order. Food was great, fresh and very tasty. However nobody showed any interest if we would like more drinks my wife had to go to the counter to place an order. Kids had preordered pudding from a children's menu. After we finished our main we have told passing waitress that we are ready for pudding. But nothing happened, table wasn't cleaned and puddings weren't served. So once again trip back to the counter... another 10 minutes and nothing. After third try puddings were finally served and table cleared. I counted 4 very young waitresses so it wasn't lack of staff rather lack of training. Poor management... whoever is in charge should know that happy customer and a good experience will make people come back.

We always visit Wildwood for a coffee, lunch or afternoon tea whenever we visit Ludlow and this visit did not disappoint. Excellent food and service as always. Thank you.

Wildwood are now serving breakfast daily, so we thought we'd give it a try. Not great, not terrible - just okay. It's a long way from the kitchen to the dining area, and my husband said his food was lukewarm at best.

Recently needed to eat whilst travelling back from Hereford at about 5.00pm. Suddenly thought of Wildwood and was pleasantly surprised. It was better than your average pizza chain. Staff were pleasant and helpful and Food good. I managed to get a deal on the Internet. So all in all a worthwhile visit.

We are here whilst on holiday and really enjoyed it. We didn't book but managed to get a table. We had a shared starter of garlic bread and arrancini. Both were very tasty. I had the chorizo special carbonara and my other half had pizza. Good portion sizes and were glad we ate here. Additional bonus us that you can get half price meals on Mon and Tues.

Called in on a wet windy friday lunchtime. Three others in there.

The place was absolutely lovely, the staff were very curtiouse to say the least. The food came out well prepared and i would like to say a big thank you to our servers today. i will be returning as i just couldn't get enough !!!

Bumped in to friends on a rainy Friday lunch time.....

We visited while on holiday, saw the restaurant while in Ludlow and thought the menu looked nice so booked to return the following evening. When checking the menu online later we noticed an offer section - do check before you visit! It made our visit on a Tuesday evening excellent value for money! The food itself was very nice, with plenty of choice, good service & polite waitresses. Would visit if ever in the area again

From the dirty beer glass, to the poor service from the miserable staff and the tough poor quality, over cooked steak, I'd say there are definitely better places to spend your money in Ludlow.

Our visit was to celebrate a 16th birthday from start to finish the service was excellent the staff were very accommodating even putting a candle on dessert for the birthday girl lovely personal touch ,all 7 meals were as expected of good fresh quality on a busy Tuesday evening. Keep up the good work Ludlow your a credit to the Wildwood name .

Service wasn’t up to scratch. Restaurant wasn’t busy, service was extremely slow. Few special food requests weren’t adhered to.

I came here for some lunch with a friend, it was a busy Friday afternoon so we waited quite a while for door but as stated it was a busy day for the staff. Once the food came it was delicious, I had the duck pizza which was fantastic and my friend had the burger which looked lovely. Would happily come again.

Visit to Ludlow for the day and passed this place and the menu's were outside. We decided to go for the set lunch at £9.95 for 2 courses. We both had the baked brie with honey, hazelnuts and garlic, served with sourdough bread. It was delicious and a generous serving. For mains we had the spaghetti Bolognese and Tagliatelle with Aubergine and tomatoes. Again very generous portions, cooked to perfection. You can add your first drink for£2 if you have this menu. There is a dessert too but we couldn't manage it. The place doesn't look very big from the entrance but goes back over 100ft to an outside seating area. The service was quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

We were struggling to find an early tea in Ludlow when we literally stumbled upon Wildwood. It wasn’t showing up as a family friendly place on Tripadvisor, while all the places that were weren’t serving food until well after 6pm. The patrons of one of those (a pub near the church) like they’d rather we’d bring a flock of seagulls into the bar than two well behaved kids, but not so in Wildwood!

We had coffee here today might of even had a light bite apart from having to badger the girl at the till for menues, perhaps I am just being old fashioned but I thought if you want to sell you good you produce a menue to help that cause! Silly me.

Went for brunch and ordered coffee and food. Coffee appreared in about 15 minutes but food took 50 minutes after reminding the front of house staff 3 times. Meals didn't contain half the advertised content but no apology from the 'manager' just an explanation that it was after bank holiday and ingredients were not yet delivered "you know what its like". There was profuse apologies from the mortified waitress. She told us we weren't paying anything so we left after eating our partial brunch. Couldn't recommend.

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Wildwood in Ludlow yesterday. Great service, superb food, what else needs to be said?

A large place so a pity they don’t have a small dog friendly area inside! Anyway we sat outside even though it was windy & cold. We stayed at the Travelodge in Wooferton so needed breakfast! They do a really great bowl of granola here, with Greek yoghurt & summer fruits drizzled with honey! Can’t comment on the cooked food but the coffee was great too!

We were visiting Ludlow and looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled upon this fabulous restaurant. We ate off the fixed price menu and were impressed with the range of choices, quality of the food and portion sizes. Great attentive service and would definitely visit again.

This is bigger than you expect, with a long back room. Wild boar meatballs, garlic chilli prawns, baked carbonara and Haddock risotto all very good

Tempted by the 2-for-1 offer, we had a splendid lunch. the food was excellent, the restaurant was busy so service was a little slow but we definitely return.

We visited Ludlow this weekend - an ancient town resembling a living museum - I mean that in a good way, its a great place to visit. We popped into the Wildwood restaurant for a quick bite. The food is simple and good value and the restaurant relaxed and friendly, The waitresses were exceptionally good - polite, friendly and efficient. The food was tasty and served its purpose as we were refueled and ready to hit the ancient streets of Ludlow once more. It's a good restaurant made great by the very good wait staff. I recommend you try it.

Tried this as our favourite lunch spot in Ludlow was closed. A very pleasant surprise, food was good and service excellent. We chose from the set lunch menu which was very good value for money. The portions were very generous for set menu fare. Will definitely visit again.

This is a relaxing and informal place to eat. Italian type food. Reasonably priced and relaxed - we just walked in one evening.

On our last night in Ludlow we went for a pasta meal and this place did not disappoint.

Has an odd feeling when entering this long and narrow building passing a café style area that was empty. Also the way the tables are lined up on either wall has an old fashioned look probably reminiscent of the Lyons restaurants of the 1940s and 50s. Having said that my mushroom risotto and partners pasta ragu were pretty good considering there was unlikely to be an Italian chef this far north. Bread at £1 for two good slices was surprisingly cheap. Certainly a lot better than the strangely unworldly branch in Camberley (see review a few years back)

Atmosphere and staff very good. However, service was unacceptably slow and when the food eventually arrived, it was cold. The bill was reduced and the staff were very apologetic. Have eaten here several times with friends and occasionally the service has been good. Unfortunately the majority of times, it has been woefully slow. There are so many good things going for the restaurant but until the service and temperature of the food improves we will not be returning.

Lovely meal on a Monday night. We managed to get an on-line offer of 50% off our food bill which made it even better value for money!

Went in for dinner, and the chicken salad came with no chicken, the service was very slow and we waited a while for food. It’s a shame the food was nice, but they have things that they need to work on, when they fix those things, it should be a perfect restaurant.

While wandering around Ludlow we were at a loss to find somewhere to eat that suited all in our party (2 - 70 years). I spotted Wildwood and confidently suggested we eat there as our local branch always gives us excellent service.

We visited on a Thursday night, arriving just after 7pm. We were greeted pleasantly and invited to find ourselves a table.

At late notice we were child free so we decided to go out. We went to wildwood Ludlow and although it’s was very busy we were offered a table. This was in the main hallway where all the foot traffic was coming into the restaurant. We didn’t mind as we were pleased to be offered a table. However being sat here meant we were forgot about. We waited 40 mins for our drinks order to be taken by which time we also placed our food order. We waited a further 20 mins for our drinks to arrive and then a further 20 mins for our starters. Our mains came 30 mins after with our starter plates still on the table. It took 25 mins for our plates to be cleared and our desert order to be taken. Then deserts took 15 mins to come. I understand it was busy but we were completely forgotten about and it was a poor experience even though the food was good.

Great service very friendly food delicious. Had a very pleasant evening enjoying the end of the day's sun shine in the courtyard garden. Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed free prosecco with a birthday voucher

Visit wildwood ludlow as a group When arriving while walking to our table which was all the way at the back of the restaurant we noticed tables with dirty plates that had just been left there and not cleaned up.

We visited on a Monday lunchtime and my partner and I shared a couple of starters and a pizza. The food itself was all high quality and top notch for the price point.

Had a lovely lunch with my friend. The service was great and the food too. Good size portions really enjoyed.

Sadly due to a mix up with our order one of our party didn t get her meal until we had all finished ours , this was a special party , when the meal came , it was as much as thrown on the table , and not even a sorry .

Atmosphere and food you can not fault, the only negative is the service, maybe it’s lack of staff, but we had to ask to order, ask for the dessert menu, ask again to order dessert, ask to order drinks and yes we had to ask for coffees and for the bill, but the staff were polite and friendly!!

Ok, there are several lovingly restored restaurants and pubs, and this is one of the best. Service was excellent. Manager and her staff are delightful. Meal was perfectly prepared.

Despite ordering a starter of olives and some table water. Neither arrived! Our main meals were bought swiftly after ordering and were delicious. Found the staff generally to be curt in their manner.

We were after lunch in Ludlow and went to a pizza restaurant that had been recommended - but it was eyewateringly expensive...so we had a walk and found the Wildwood.

This was our first visit to Ludlow and we were looking forward to enjoying a nice Sunday Brunch of Eggs Benedict. The service was good and the surroundings were very comfortable. Sadly the Eggs Benedict was the worst we have ever had.

We ate here on Tuesday evening and although it was fairly busy we were able to get a table straight away. Service was quite slow especially for refills of drinks as there only seemed to be 2 or 3 waiting staff. The food was very good particularly the pizza and definitely good value for money. A friendly, lively atmosphere and would recommend.

What a lovely evening,from moment we arrived . Firstly walked through to a lovely open fire burning. Greated with a friendly smile. Nothing was too much trouble for a group of fussy peeps. An A+ for our waitress Alice who never seemed to stop, when asked about ingredients in food spot on server.

Fantastic food, wonderful service and quirky environment. The baked brie was wonderful and the kids are for £1 each with a voucher from the website.

I expected a typical, pre-made crust one tends to find in a small town, but the crust that came out was very good. The rest of the pizza was just ok. We had pizza and side salads. Both tasted fine. The service was adequate, but not great. The one main negative is, we were seated just beside the restroom door. with all the people going n and coming out of it, that detracted from the experience.

Visited here again, last time about twelve months ago. Food was good and very tasty. The main problem is the service, waited over ten minutes after being seated for someone to ask if we would like a drink.

We had a fantastic three course meal with cocktails and it was all absolutely wonderful. The waitresses Alice and Hattie were both so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.

It was our first visit to this restaurant. Plenty to choose from on the menu and enjoyed the two for one cocktails during the early evening happy hour. Friendly and efficient service.

Good food, but, when it came to waiting for dessert orders, we had been totally forgotten. Went to pay the bill and told the Manager we were leaving before dessert as we had been abandioned/forgotten, zero response, took our money and that was it. Will be a while before we return, and we are in Ludlow !

Good selection of Italian dishes, Friendly staff and good service. The home made lemonades are delicious and a welcome change from fizzy soft drinks
