I wasnt aware of this cafe until recently and thought we would try it out today. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and sat inside. There is an outside terrace which looked lovely but busy. I had the super green omelette and my husband had the full breakfast and a cappuccino each. We both really enjoyed our food. The salads looked great and the other food sounded good too. I was so relaxing for me knowing my husband wouldnt be worrying about what he could eat. We will definitely visit again when we come into southport.

We’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. Wd went in at weekend and were not disappointed. Good menu choices if fresh vegetables, grains and salads. The cake choices are also amazing. The staff are friendly and attentive with nothing too much trouble. The food was great and reasonably priced. We will definitely return. As a footnote check out the website as they do themed evenings and Sunday roasts

Unfortunately I don't come in here as much as I used to. And it seems to be a lot quieter than when I first started going. The idea of this place is great. But when I found out that I was paying such prices for non-organic food, it didn't make sense to me to continue going regularly. Today we went back, and haven't been for a few months. I have to say the portion sizes were so small. I ordered a foccacia which was literally half the size it used to be, and still the same cost at £8. I mention organic food above as I wouldn't mind paying £8 for an organic buttie. But the amount is a bit ridiculous and this sandwich given the size shouldn't have been anymore than around £5. There are other local cafes with just as nice food charging £4.50 for a buttie. Nice maybe now and again as a treat, but not to go regularly as it's just not worth it sorry. Staff all lovely.

Wow! What an amazing addition to the Halsall countryside. A 100% vegan cafe, deli and garden centre that offers customers the chance to feast on their delicious food from soups, sandwiches and quiche to their famous TLT's, superfood salads and of course nor forgetting cake! The staff are super friendly and accommodating and all furry friends are welcome too. The food is so tasty, filling and delicious and their selection of both hot and cold drinks is great too. Smoothies and Juices made fresh before your eyes and there is also a shop inside so you can pop in and top up on your groceries. A lot of time, effort and thought has evidently gone into making Wild Root what it is and as a frequent customer I can't recommend it highly enough. You also have the option of dining in or eating outside which is lovely when the weather permits. It's 5***** from me all round! Well done Wild Root, you've done a superb job and have already achieved major success - and long may it continue!

As a former vegetarian and recently converted vegan, I’m perpetually grappling with the fact that cheese is the best scran known to man. Cheese boards are my love language, and the prospect of a high-quality vegan equivalent piqued my interest. My sister got this for me and my girlfriend as a gift, and because we both adore cheese boards, we made a night of it. My favourite was the tangy blue with its marbled blue veins, which paired well with the chutney. My girlfriend was smitten with the smooth, powerful, aromatic taste of the truffle and charcoal, despite her usual aversion to earthy flavours. We eat with our eyes, and the appearance and arrangement of the cashew cheeses much outperform other options I've tried. It looked just like the photographs. There has been a lot of effort put into this, and it shows. These nuances are critical when working with basic, high-quality ingredients. Overall, I like all the cheeses and plan to purchase more as gifts for my vegan in-laws and another for myself. It saves you the time and effort of searching for, preparing, and precisely assembling each alternative cheese yourself, and it offers a plate full of rich and tasty food.

Wild Root is an amazing place. I love this place so much. The staff are genuine, kind, friendly and so attentive. The Chef Tania is just amazing with her creations. This has been my retreat a few times. When I’m having a bad day, I jump in the car and as soon as I arrive there’s Maddie, Tania or Charlie with Huge smiles on their faces and this will literally cheer me up. The food here is just second to non and I think this is because of the chefs attention to detail, understanding of food profiles and texture etc. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The place is so friendly with animals. There’s Pontypridd of tables inside and out and I’m always amazed by how full it is when I’m there. Listening to people talk about their lives and the food really warms my heart. Someone always wants to stroke my doggo lily and she’s great off lead too. She’s always welcomed in with a treat as other doggos are. The teas and coffee are great as are the smoothies. I recommend the world famous TLT and breakfast. Best you’re gonna get anywhere. The garden centre is great too. Inside there’s a fullly stocked shop with vegan items an dog treats. In house made cheese, kombucha and a deli that’s packed to the brim with take away cakes as well. ALL of the staf are lovely. This really does make me happier when I visit. I think because it reminds me of my little American cabin I used to visit in Nashua NH when I lived in the states. If you read this, please go and experience Wild Root. You’ll never be disappointed. You’ll be warmly welcomed and given a safe goodbye. I can’t wait to come back again. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏love Kelsang Vajra The photo I added is lily watching the chef Tania.

A lovely busy restaurant, with out side seating and a wonderful garden center attached to look around while you wait for your food! The service was quick, efficient and relaxed with our server Abbie! Who couldn't do enough for us, always walking around with a big smile on her face even with a full restaurant! The food was incredible, lots of variety and the freshest ingredients! A really lovely vibe. We'll done to Abbie and everyone for making it a brilliant place to eat and unwind!

My wife and I have eaten at Wild Root twice in the last fortnight and both times were excellent. The food and drink that we have had together with the meals were top notch. We were welcomed, seated and well served. This is a 'must visit' for all all plant-based fans in the area!

I went with my husband for lunch. The choice wasn’t huge but what we had was delicious and it was great not to have to scan the menu for things we could eat as it is 100% vegan. We had soup with salad and sour dough bread. We liked the bread so much we bought a loaf from the farm shop before leaving. I loved the healthy salads. This is just the sort of food I like to eat. The staff were lovely and friendly and the cafe was very clean. There was a good selection of whole food items for sale in the shop. We will definitely go back soon.

Great pub, we mostly go for drinks, but we have ate here too and everything is well priced and tasty. All staff are lovely but a special mention for Lana who always makes an effort to chat, and the young girl who worked this Saturday and was smashing it, especially at such a young age! Our favourite local, keep it up guys :)
