What a superb experience - came for Easter Sunday roast - with family and my teenage son said it was one of the best he’s ever had (a rare expression of satisfaction 😆) to which we all agreed. Staff really welcoming - friendly and efficient - and premises really nice: well presented. Easily Recommended!!

Was working in the area so called in for my T Went for the steak 🥩 served with mushrooms tomato chunky chips and garlic sauce. It was delicious 😋 Staff very polite and friendly

Food is fantastic freshly made and hot . You do have to wait slightly longer for it but worth the wait and the staff are lovely

First time here in a while. Seemed to of changed food very good value for what you got. Rang up and got accomodated quickly. Seemed busy, efficiency of staff was ok had better. Would consider going back though as food was delicious x

Charlie and myself have been to the plough numerous times, with our family and on our own. The service and the food are first class. We had the special Valentines menu " Just delicious " marks out of 10.. 10

Just took my family here for a nice Christmas meal , my mum never goes out but loved it. Staff were amazing and food was outstanding, and to top it off there was a lovely singer on doing Christmas songs from all years. A brilliant afternoon thanks 😃😃

Had the duck katsu, it was absolutely delicious. The garlic bread was very tasty and the salt and pepper chunky chips are the best I've had. We will be returning and would highly recommend to anyone to go and try it out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable

Great pub, we mostly go for drinks, but we have ate here too and everything is well priced and tasty. All staff are lovely but a special mention for Lana who always makes an effort to chat, and the young girl who worked this Saturday and was smashing it, especially at such a young age! Our favourite local, keep it up guys :)

My family had a fabulous Sunday roast yesterday, there was 9 of us and all agreed how excellent the food and service was, Alana and Aaron and all the staff made us feel special. I can’t wait to return this week with my family to experience some more of their menu. Thanks for your hospitality.

Called for Sunday lunch (after I couldn’t get in at Eden tearooms). Roast beef was delicious- like a thick braising steak. Unfortunately gravy was a little too salty for me. Had honeycomb cheesecake for dessert, but it didn’t last long enough for a photo 😁😋 Called last week (August 2024). Had roast gammon and turkey Sunday lunch. Excellent. Followed with eton mess - deconstructed. Not as good as i had hoped, but still nice. Service was super fast and staff attentive and helpful.

3 of us had the roast turkey dinner and all agreed it's the best roast turkey dinner we have ever had in a pub or restaurant in this country-ever. 4th person had mushroom and chicken pasta which she enjoyed but mentioned that she would have preferred a thicker sauce. 4 meals, 2 desserts, 1 latte, 2 beers and 2 soft drinks less than £79. Superb value.

Just moved into the area and decided to go for tea after a long weekend of trying to sort the new house out. Beef Sunday dinner was awesome. The pizzas looked good to. Decent pint of Guinness also. The girls who were working were also very friendly and nice to speak to. Best pub in a country mile around here! Updated 11 Feb 23. New owners. Still as good. Food and service even better! Updated 22 August 24. Dont bother with the rest. The Plough and Harrow is the best! Dan is the MAN.

Decent pub, limited selection of real ales, mostly lagers, but that's just my personal preference for real ales.

Lovely place to eat and drink but the random/early closing / last order times is disappointing.

What can I say😳 Absolutely Quality 👌 from the plough and harrow the food was immense🤤 everybody enjoy what the ordered and the staff was always on hand if you required anything else absolutely be coming back with the family and THANK YOU !! Spot on ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went with the hubby, kids and granddaughter. I had the steak with garlic sauce, the most amazing home cooked chips, onion rings, peas, tomato and mushrooms. All the food was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. The daughter had the mushroom pasta which again was delicious and a huge portion. Son in law had garlic bread with cheese which was basically a pizza without the tomato sauce and he polished off the lot. 3 year old granddaughter had the kids creamy pasta with garlic bread and ate the majority of it again it was a large portion and then had the strawberry ice cream for afters. Would definitely recommend the food to anyone who asks and to top it off there was entertainment in the form of an acoustic singer which made for a really relaxed atmosphere in the place.

I never recommend much. On Sunday 24 March we decided to visit our local; brilliant pub and restaurant, The Plough and Harrow, Up Holland. Lancashire. I need to give credit we’re it is due.: Just found this to be brilliant value for money, fantastic ambience and excellent service. The food was better, Sunday lunch and off menue for me was great. I will not recommend. But, rather praise all in the Venue. It was such good value and it went to the spot: ❤️

Visited here with little boy and husband recently for evening meal, the food was delicious all home made and so tasty, the staff was friendly and very welcoming, nice atmosphere and cosy pub would visit again

The staff and booked buffet was excellent!! They managed to do exactly what was on my menu list plus extras. At no extra cost. Plus so many vegan options, all clearly marked. This was a special day at such a sad time. Great price and drinks not expensive too. Thank you so much !! Your staff were amazing attentive. Highly recommend!!

Visited tonight with hubby and both had the Sunday roast, it was absolutely delicious. We both had the turkey which came with an assortment of different veg, the tastiest mashed potatoes, delicious roast potatoes and the best gravy i think i have ever tasted. Lovely clean pub with a roaring fire, lovely staff too. Well done to you all 👏👏👏

What an amazing evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Popped in last week for lunch, was so good, my hubby booked for this eve. Firstly, the service was beyond exceptional, Lina is an incredible host and a huge asset to the place. Truly a people person. She was super attentive, really went above and beyond, even playing our fav song after a small conversation. (The Script). Thank you Lina. As for the food, wow!! Beautiful and super tasty. Huge portions and worth every penny, infact the prices are low for what you get. Pork belly ribs to die for! Was sceptical about getting them as never they're always small and crispy but theirs, melt in mouth and fell off the bone, bravo chef. Main, chicken & chorizo skewers...so much i brought some home 👍 Overall, well done to the new owners for employing such wonderful staff. This goes to all of you, thank you for making our anniversary so special. See you Sunday 😁

Went the Plough and Harrow this afternoon. Absolutely outstanding, Dan the barman was great, very friendly welcoming and well mannered. We only went for a quick lunch so both ordered a baguette (one tuna, one steak) both tremendous and excellent value for money. Also had a chat with the owner Aaron who was also friendly and welcoming! Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be returning very soon.

First time here for us, meeting some friends staying locally with their dogs. The food and service was excellent. We would definitely visit again.

Brilliant food is great staff great and the owner Aarron is very amendable. I went with a party of 12, we all had thee course and everybody was happy with all they had. We did not have a single complaint amongst us all. Aaron rounded off an excellant evening by giving everybody a complimentary lemon cello a very nice touch. This was my second visit here will be back😀

From the minute I walked in I was impressed beautiful decor spotlessly clean . Warm friendly welcome from staff . And as for the food absolutely top quality I was even impressed by the plates it was served on. So happy to have a place to eat of this quality close to home. First time there, with the wife, daughter, grandson and mother in law for Sunday afternoon meal, got to say we all loved it, friendly host , really nice staff we all enjoyed it, my wife and daughter have been before for afternoon tea ,said it was good and they were right ,will deffo be going back 😁

I have been back to the Plough twice this week, it is that good! First visit I had garlic mushrooms to start and lasagne. Portions were big and the food was amazing! Last night I had the steak and chips with peppercorn sauce. Steak cooked perfect and the meal was beautiful. Staff are great too!

Just been here today.. 13th August. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had. We we're a party of 11. They had no problems getting the food out . And all the staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely recommend 💯

I've never been here before but needed something to eat on our way home. The reviews were good, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. Staff were lovely, and the food was excellent. I have to say the salt and pepper chips are the best I've had!

Nice quiet pub, sat in the beer garden on bank holiday monday, staff were freindly, food took a bit long to come as there was only one chef working it was delicious when it came, no complaints at all will be going there again

Five of us, 3 generations visited yesterday evening, WOW the food was exceptional, beautifully presented, decent portions, and none of us could fault anything, which for my gang is very rare. Staff were informative and welcoming, The pub decoration is very tasteful land comfortable, bathrooms very clean, this pub has improved 100 fold from the last time I visited. I am local so it’s so nice to have such a wonderful place to eat, drink and relax. Dogs welcome is another plus point.

Just had a meal in there. Absolutely lovely food. Lovely service. But its always the little things that make it special. Went in with my granddaughter who is under 2 first time ever we were given Childers dinosaur cuttlery. A high chair with cushions on for extra comfort. They had an open fire going. Such a lovely lunch will definitely be going again. .

We held a funeral tea here, the catering service and venue were really good . It exceeded expectations and was good value. I was very impressed.

This place has become our local after moving to the area last year. We were sad after it’s closures for a couple of weeks. However it’s reopened and just as good if not better with better opening times. Today we ate in here for the first time under the new owners and were very impressed. My husband had the chicken kebab skewers, myself the fish and chips and my son got to make his own pizza. The food was hot and tasty….. as a result we booked there and then for mother day. Great little pub to have on our doorstep.

Dropped in for food and drinks knowing this is in new hands. The food was superb, garlic mushrooms to start and the chicken schnitzel for main. Food was piping hot and plentiful. There was a female singer on for two hours during our time there, she was so good and it added to our boss time. Definitely return for a meal in the restaurant. They also allow dogs in the bar area where you can eat and drink too. About time Skem had a proper place to chill out to eat , drink and be entertained. Nice one Plough and Harrow

It's great to see this pub open again, with a few tweaks and changes. Familiar faces behind the bar and a new menu, offering favourites from the previous menu and the option of a Sunday lunch. It's a welcoming pub with a relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely stunning pub... still has the good old rustic feel to it, with log burning fires. Friendly staff and a really good selection of beers, larger, cider, and spirits. They also have a few events throughout the year, as well as it being somewhere to enjoy watching your favourite sport. See you all again soon
