I've been here a few times for breakfast on a Sunday and the food and service has always been great. Most recently we stopped in for lunch during the week and again experienced great food and service. I ordered the tuna mayo panini and a side of fries, which is my go-to order in most cafes for lunch. I would definitely come back and order it again. The fries were crispy, the panini wasn't greasy or too dry and the side salad and coleslaw was fresh. The staff are friendly, and the food arrived in good time even though the cafe was busy.

This is a lovely cafe that serves the best coffee I have tasted in some time. Also serve excellent bacon and sausage barm cakes.

The service was brilliant along with the breakfast we had. Slightly disappointed with the coffee (was not the best) and the cakes were dry. The dry cakes might have been due to them being gluten free so not being too harsh on that point.

It won't win any Michelin stars or serve an International cusine but if you want wholesome food at sensible prices served by a lovely young enthusiastic team then this is the place for you. We had a lovely fresh burger with cheese fries and a breakfast barm which was packed with sausage, bacon and egg. Just great and we will be back as soon as we can.

This is a nice little cafe set back off the main road. The ambience is nice and seems to have lots of local clientele , which is good. They have lots of home made looking cakes and the coffee was ok. Only 3 stars from me because the service was slow. I waited ages to be served and then another age to get my coffee. I didn’t feel like the place was particularly friendly to strangers but the locals seemed happy enough. I will try it again and see whether today was a “one off”.

I come here with my dog as coffee etc is dog friendly, the staff are always polite and I order omlettes regularly. I have never had one burnt or undercooked. On occasions when busy you may have to wait a little longer for food however, the staff will always make you aware of this, so you can make the decision should you wish to try elsewhere or happily wait. There is also outside seating available and the place has a nice atmosphere. The only way to know is to try this little gem for yourself.

This cafe has improved since it first opened some years ago. We enjoy calling in for coffee when walking in the area. We haven't eaten there in a while just had coffee but the food looks good. Today I was impressed with the hygiene and organisation under the current circumstances. Well done! The staff are cheerful and helpful. We prefer this place to the other by the canal. Keep it up.

Really Excellent Coffee, and cake!. This place is very clean, you can wash your hands on entry. They have worked hard to deal with Covid, and everything is thoroughly cleaned down each time the person leaves. Friendly staff, especially the owner who was lovely. You can see why Coffee Etc. is so popular with locals.

We moved to Parbold a year ago and have visited all the cafes in the village.A couple have since closed for business and now there are only two coffee shops left.Coffee Etc was always our favourite and the one we visited regularly. The food is good, the coffee excellent but without doubt the best bit is the staff. They make the place. We are hoping that the business survives the pandemic and re-opens once restrictions are lifted. As soon as it does, we'll be back.Written in June 2020.

My group visit the cafe after Tai Chi each Wednesday. There are normally 6-7 of us, and Molly who works there, kindly reserves the big table for us. We order tea or coffee and a light snack, maybe toasted teacake, or poached eggs on toast. It is a very busy little place, and the staff are friendly and smiley under pressure. Tea is presented in china cups, and with a pot of hot water for top ups. We are never rushed, and have a chance for a catch up and a natter. The really good thing is that it is a community cafe, and profits are used to make improvements in the local area.

On our way to Southport my gf, 10 month old son and I visited this great little cafe. We popped in for brekky and were greatly surprised by the coffee and food. The sausage barm and molly cake were very tasty. The cappuccino and americano had nice flavour. The staff and all the locals were so friendly and helpful. It is dog friendly too. If your driving down the road looking for it, be aware it is set back about 20m from the road. We will definitely be back again

I visit this small cafe regularly and can only say the quality of the food and service is excellent. Previous reviewers obviously haven't visited since it was taken over around 2 years ago but the difference is now startling! The prices are amazing also as are the choices available and the awareness of food-allergies and their attention to detail is just brilliant.Dog friendliness is included which is nice if you're walking your hound and want to rest while it enjoys a complimentary biscuit!

Coffee etc. provide good quality and reasonably priced breakfast. We have eaten here a number of times and the food is normally very good. On one occasion our fried eggs were slightly undercooked but the staff quickly remedied this when it was pointed out. Ion order to remain competitive I would recommend that they should introduce the policy of reduced-price drink refills which is the norm now with many establishments these days.

Went yesterday at 4.10pm to get a sandwich and read my paper. On arrival was told that they’d stopped doing food at 3.45, and when I asked when they closed that they closed at 5pm.I asked why they stopped doing food so early and was told ‘because we want to go home’ by the lad behind the counter. After the smart remark I mentioned that surely it doesn’t take that long to clean down, to which the girl working said ‘our kitchen does’.Now apart from the absolute lack of service, I’m sure there are Michelin star kitchens that don’t take 75 minutes to clean down, let alone a very small kitchen in a village cafe. There seemed to be 3 staff working and only 4 customers, so surely the hours of food can be longer and they can clean as they go to ensure they get as much business as possible. You can always tell a place which is not run by an owner as all sometimes staff care about is ‘going home’.

The menu covers everything you would hope from a café, with a few additions such as milkshakes (standard flavours and mixed with various sweets). The food comes quickly and is prepared well, and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. We go regularly for lunch and cake. The café is set back from the main road which I think it may have suffered for, as it's difficult to notice if you aren't local. I have been frequently before and after the café changed hands, and besides the decor (both were very nice in my view but it is now much more conventional, probably with broader appeal than the old one) it doesn't feel too different so customers familiar with the old one shouldn't be discouraged.

We went originally to the cafe on the canal out of habit. We were told around a 40 minute wait for a bowl of soup and a sandwich after also being given a list of things not available on the menu, so decided to go into Parbold village and came across this lovely cafe. The young girl on the till was very chatty and friendly. We ordered soup and bagels, arrived in half the time and were well presented and very tasty. Well worth a slight detour from the canal. Will now make this our regular.

After a long walk along the canal, we decided to look for somewhere for breakfast in the village and the first place we came to was Coffee. We took our seats before being presented with a menu that was quite simple but contained many of the items one could wish for in a ho breakfast. Service was prompt and polite and the food was good too. We will be happy to return to Coffee after our next canalside walk.

We treat ourselves to breakfast out and try to go to different places BUT this is by far the best in our opinion. Hot breakfast and hot plates. Menu selection is small but that is not a bad thing as everything is very nice. Small breakfast is consistently good along with coffee. I am surprised its not as busy as it should be Staff attentive and friendly. Good takeaway service and the cakes always look lovely. Cloakrooms on the ground floor and a TV showing the next trains if going by public transport. Ample car parking.

What used to be a dark, dismal and none atmospheric place has, with new owners, been transformed into a warm and cosy cafe, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. That, coupled with very good, helpful and friendly staff, together with much improved food and drink, makes for an excellent location to enjoy a moment and meet people. Since the new owners have arrived they have promised a gazebo outside so us dog walkers can sit in inclement weathers.

Visited here during a Arts Festival Event and sat outside for lunch, which was reasonably priced. The cafe is tucked away off the road but is small yet quite tastefully designed. The staff are all young and keen. Food is freshly made and not expensive, coffee was good. They sell a very small variety of goods including handbags, jewellery, paintings, books, toys and wool. There are a couple of parking spaces available.

Visited Coffee etc. for a light lunch after being unimpressed by the prices at nearby cafe, Yours Is The Earth. Coffee etc. was a much nicer environment to relax in as it is a small, cosy cafe with friendly, attentive staff. I ordered a green tea and the hummus platter which was delicious and my boyfriend had a cheese salad panini which he really enjoyed. I asked about the ingredients in the hummus platter and the waitress even checked that the biscuit which came with my tea was vegan, without me having to ask. This small touch really meant a lot to me. I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who wants a nice quiet lunch or coffee in Parbold.

Popped in here for a drink whilst having a peak of what Parbold had to offer. We were moored up on the canal for the evening and fancied a drink. We went for coffee but ended up with a milkshake which I have to say was very good indeed. They will make a milkshake using any of the chocolate bars they have in stock and they were very good. Inside there are also lots of interesting items to buy from bags and purses to paintings and cards. The team were very friendly and its a cozy place for a quick stop or to meet friends. We found out that it is not for profit coffee shop for the youth community. We did not have food as such but as we were there close to the end of the day we were given some cake for free as it was going to be thrown away. That says something about the service.Well worth popping into and there is free wifi too.
