I have recently moved to Westhead and decided to visit the pub for lunch while working from home. Quick service, very fresh food (the salad was great!) and a lovely relaxing atmosphere which allowed me to read while waiting for my food. All social distancing adhered to with table service for ordering and payment. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

I had fish and chips it was lovely, staff were helpful. We had a lovely day ,it was my 80 birth day I had a lovely day and my family said they had a lovely day and a nice meal.

A year since my first visit, and still coming here, still great staff are lovely and welcoming , I, told by my partner the beer is kept well and is a nice pint, it’s a country village pub with great food and a big welcome, food is superb especially the braised steak with real chips wow....

This is a pub which is an eating place. Not many places to just sit and drink. The first time I had fish and chips and my wife had soup and sandwich. Both were very good. The next time we were not as hungry so both had soup with bread. Again it was good. The place both times were full of locals eating. All appeared to having a good time. Service was good both times.

Arrived without pre booking and despite being very busy given a table straight away. We had lamb and beef and they were both very nice indeed with a Pint of real Ale, plenty to choose from, excellent value with a sweet at £8.95. A lovely old pub unspoilt from the developers. Very Friendly staff.

This is a real village pub, the only one I have seen in this quaint village. Didn't book and was lucky to get the last available table. Will definitely book next time. Lots of locals enjoying freshly cooked food at a very reasonable price. Had to have the gammon again...!!! very tasty...!!! Pleasant staff all round. Enjoy.

Love the Prince Albert food first class along with service. The homemade pie is well worth trying and the chips are proper homemade chunky not frozen

came here on Easter day, had a three course meal for less than 10 pound,the staff are friendly the meals are lovely.

We called in for a meal and were not disappointed. Between us we had omelette and chips, rump steak and chips and broccoli pasta bake. Everything was beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. Staff were all very friendly. Would definitely visit again

We never booked but staff found us a table as it was pretty busy. The three course Sunday dinner was exceptional good value £9.95 you get good helpings service was excellent by the young staff will definitely return

Sunday lunch so booked but not really necessary, though we had a great table. Fast service but need to order at the bar..!! Well priced and decent selection, I really enjoyed the gammon.

This is a cracking little olde worlde pub with pleasant staff and a fantastic chef who makes probably the best steak pie in Lancashire. There is also 4 or 5 real ales always on tap, all kept in tip top form, can't wait for my next visit which I shall try the fish & chips that are also well rated by past customers.

Went for tea last night, after driving past regularly, the homemade chips were great just as advertised on the sign outside (that’s what brought us in) the food was really really good. The fish chips and peas was good the steak pie was also good. My partner enjoyed the Pendleton witch drink. Very nice staff great village pub. I’ll come back just for the chips......

My partner and I came here for lunch he had a burger and I had the jacket potato.

My wife and I called in for lunch not having been there for a number of years and were very impressed. There was a welcoming atmosphere, staff friendly and efficient, food of good proportions, freshly cooked, reasonably priced and delicious. We will recommend to family and friends and definitely be back.

We have to admit the food here was a lot better than we thought it would be and we will definitely be going back.

We haven't called for a Long while but we revisited and was really happy with food that was served and the hospitality. Its a small pub but the food is traditional and very tasty. Will be calling again

we came across the prince albert today and our first visit to westhead,, we found the staff helpful and friendly, everywhere was spotlessly clean . my partner had sunday lunch roast beef with all the trimmings and i had battered haddock real chips and mushy peas followed by a trifle for both of us. of course washed down with the customary pint of bitter and a white wine and soda for my partner, we found this pub out of the blue, we were more than pleasantly surprised absolutely enjoyed our food and visit and will return

Its not a quaint country restaurant pub, but more a nice, but tired 1970's pub that serves food, even so the staff are friendly and prices are okay.

Real good well cooked food, done as we requested. Great service, attentive staff, they can’t do enough for you. Great guest beers, I tried Junction this time. We will be back in the near future.

Go here regularly and I am always impressed with the quality of food & value for money. Good old fashioned menu with an impressive selection of specials on offer. I really like this place because it is reasonably priced compared to many establishments in the area with a better level of food being served.

Visited with wife and son for a bite on a Saturday night. The service was friendly and efficient. No fancy menu's, just a nice simple choice with a very good daily specials board. The landlord and the girls working there were very friendly and the food arrived promptly. It was tasty and hot and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We have been coming here for only 6 months or so,and to be honest if it wasn't for a 30 minute drive would be here every week,this place has everything that is lacking in most pubs, warmth, service, excellent food, value for money,great beer,we really cannot fault this pub,non pretentious!!! If you going to eat out for décor maybe its not for you, but everything else super.

We regularly travel 12 miles to visit this pub. Food is higher than average quality and very reasonably priced. I would challenge anyone to find better fish and chips and the Pendle Witch is always perfect.

Went with friends foe a 60th b.day. Loverly little pub food great price and meals were worth every penny , big meals on plates , struggled to Finnish every single meal was hot and proper homemade chips , staff are a credit to this pub , very friendly and helpful, would certainly go back again and recommend.

What lovely little pub! Really busy for a Tuesday evening. The staff coped really well with the full bar. There was short wait at the bar to order our food. It was well worth the wait, the sirloin I ordered was cooked exactly as I like and was so tender no steak knife was needed. I ordered salad instead of chips, when it arrived it was on a plate of it’s own, the steak was on a hot plate while the salad was on a cold one, nice touch! My wife ordered the steak baguette, it was served with side salad, pasta salad , Cole slaw and home made chips. A huge portion which she could not finish. We really enjoyed the visit, thank you.

Not the largest choice on the menu, but what they do have is absolutely top quality. All chips are hand prepared proper chips. Amazing fish,chips and mushy peas. Top quality slow cooked braising steak that melts in your mouth. Fantastic sandwiches that come with chips and salad. I could go on, but just try it for yourself. Old fashioned interior with real fires in the winter. Great beers with a really good selection of real ales.

Me and my husband went here for Sunday lunch. They do a 3 course sunday lunch offer for £9.50 which is fantastic. All the food was freshly made, and delicious. The menu had plenty of choice and all at very good prices. The service was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back!

This is an 'old mans pub', spotlessly clean, great happy staff.

We (four of us, two couples), went to the 'the Albert' for lunch, our friends had the fish and chips, hubby had the veggie curry and I had the sandwich with chips. We all enjoyed our lunch. The chips are 'home made'. The pub is old fashioned and quaint inside. It has recently changed hands but the quality of food and service has not been affected.

I'd been on a Korean ship for three weeks and hadn't seen a potato for the duration. A pint of Pendle Witch, fish chips and peas followed by ice cream in a pancake was just sheer heaven. The fish was really nice, chips too and I enjoyed the dessert. It was all served promptly and once again thanks to the staff in my favourite pub. If it's a Northern no-nonsense pub you're after, the Prince fits like an old shoe.

Meals first class never vary, always quick service visit with business partner. Fish and Chips favourite along with home made meat pie and gammon and egg. Price is keen to and extremely good value.

As always, friendly staff and good home cooked food, it never disappoints, you are always sure of a warm friendly welcome, good ale and great food ! Try the steak pie or the fish & chips and if its on the specials menu the lamb curry is to die for!

Used to live next door to this pub and was so happy I did! Cas' hand cut chips are to die for! Thoroughly enjoy the quality of the service and food and never leave the disappointed.

Highly recommend had lots of fantastic visits to here with and with out my kids and nothing is to much trouble. Food fantastic and defo when u have 4 fussy kids. Never had a bad meal yet. This pub has some of the best home made food!! The chips are great the curry's especially the lamb curry is amazing!! The Sunday dinner is one that is definitely to be a must!!

Chose to have dinner here as we were staying 50 yards away at a B&B.; Unprepocessing from the outside, fantastic food, quality, quantity and value were enjoyed by all. Managed to please 3 different generations and me who picked up the bill. I thoroughly recommend the Prince Albert.

A local that makes you feel welcome with brownie points for fresh cooked local produce and some decent beers. Decor just a little bit tired.

The Prince Albert is a friendly local pub that serves good hearty homemade food.

Nipped in here with friend lives local to watch a big football game on a Sunday afternoon. Was impressed with big TV and the fact that it's pretty much seperate from the rest of the pub and those that may not wish to watch sport on a HD 50" TV.

Superb home cooked food an exelelent value for money, try the mushrooms, 10 outof 10, very friendly staff and good atmospere .
