Wild Cherry in Brighton and Hove

Absolutely wonderful place. Greeted by a really friendly owner who was very accommodating and helpful. And lovely staff. The cakes are divine and the vegan burger with slaw was one of the best things I'd eaten. Had amazing coffee too. Will return.

I so appreciate having the lovely Wild Cherry Delhi around the corner from us, with its top quality food , coffee & drinks, to have there, take away & have in nearby Queens park, or stock up on organic vegetables, drinks, cheese & different things for home. The owners are super nice people and an important part of Hanover & Queens park Community, during summer its especially nice to sit outside on the terrrace, to have your coffee and eat from their great selection of home made dishes. Cant recommend it highly enough!

Unique place , shop/cafe with fab food and products, lovely energy all around.

We had a delicious vegan lunch at Wild Cherry. We shared a vegan sausage roll, roasted pepper with chickpeas and bulghur and mushroom lasagna. We also picked up a few things from the deli. We really recommend this place!

What a Gem! Super friendly, delicious fresh food, ridiculously tasty sweet treats and so much more. I love their octopus salad 😋Highly recommend!

Wandered past today and stopped in for a couple of coffees, only to open the door to an Aladdin’s Cave of treasures. Beautiful freshly made organic salads and delicacies in the chiller (wish I’d gone before lunch), interesting deli items and freshly made cakes. I eventually left with 2x (excellent) coffees, a bag of freshly ground coffee and a generous portion of their amazing Tiramisu🤎 The staff were charming! They offered a bowl of water & a snack for my dog and passionately talked me through their produce. I’ll definitely take a detour to pop back in.

Quirky and cute. Warm and woody. Good selection of sweet and savoury. Vegan veggie and non veggie. Caters for all. Coffee good. Produce in shop very good. For a treat it’s worth popping by. Recommend the organic coffees and cakes. Only issue is there’s no seating inside. ☹️

Absolutely delicious food, every time. I've tried their meat, vegan and vegetarian options and they're all equally tasty. The desserts are great too. The owners are absolutely lovely people and you can see and taste the quality in everything in the shop!

It's a cozy little shop with a variety of fine (vegan) treats and dishes. We bought vegan ice cream and took it to the park just around the corner. It's the best vegan ice cream I know of, especially rasperry!

I had a stuffed aubergine with a deli salad and it came to almost £10, even though it was takeaway. May I reiterate that the food is great but I assume that they have to compensate for their lack of footfall due to non-central location by charging prices that are only just short of absurd.

Expect the unexpected in Brighton and this real food cafe and deli is just sitting there on the corner at the end of the terraced houses. Great driftwood outside and chunky wood seating inside. The food is good for you! clearly labelled with great advice if you are not sure. Salads, quiches, toasties with a difference, and really good strong coffee. It's chilled, it may take a while to get to the table, but it's worth just kicking back and enjoying the calm. the locals were popping in and the conversations suggested this is a warmly appreciated spot.

Had a delicious lunch here with my friend, friendly staff and a relaxed setting. I would have given 5 stars, but I have 2 minor complaints. I thought the sizes for the salad plates where small, they where piled high but I was still taken aback when showed the 2 different sized tiny plate options. Secondly, having to pay extra for soya milk is ridiculous, especially 50p extra. I would consider visiting again next time i'm in town, but only as a treat.

We had a yummy lunch here! Roasted red pepper stuffed with quinoa and Vegan lasagne. Weather was nice and we sat outside—lovely! Don’t come here, however, if you are in a hurry. Otherwise, it’s wonderful.

I've been visiting this place infrequently for a couple of years. They really do have the best tasting coffee in the area. They have a really good range of organic food both fresh and everyday items, as well as some more niche stuff. If you're in the area and want something but the organic version I advise you look here as you will probably find it.

The walrus gave me a £50 voucher, as an apology for a bad dinner a few months ago. I'm happy to say that this time the food was of much better quality, the starters were huge and delicious, the vegi roast was outstanding, however the sorbet selection was two scoops, which I'd say isn't a selection and definitely not value for money, but the cheese board was amazing. There's a great selection of food and drink here with an amazing roof top garden terrace. However the service is fairly disappointing, as it was very slow, Although this may be due to us eating on the terrace and not in the dining room. In conclusion I enjoyed our meal here and I would recommend you come here for food and Definitely recommend coming here for drinks.

My boyfriend managed to book an igloo to celebrate our anniversary. The location was beautiful even tho they don’t tell you when you book that you will be sharing the igloo with other people and tables which makes it impossible to have a romantic/private dinner. The starters were amazing and then we got a plate of pasta which was alright but nothing special. The stuff was nice and polite. It was a beautiful location and so grateful to have experience it but I would probably never go back again.

Went for Sunday roast. The staff were great and very friendly even though busy and rushing about. Drinks arrived super fast, however we waited nearly 40 mins for our roast even though they needed the table back. Ok is about as best as I can give. Luke warm except the volcanic twice cooked or warmed up spuds. The Lamb was very fatty. Cauliflower cheese was strange and not very cheesy. Even with 3 vegan choices doubt we’ll be back - average at best.

Really handy shop. Great and friendly owner with a wide array of food, drink and fresh food. A bit expensive but the cakes, organic food, helpful staff make it a great corner shop. Also has coffee but I have not been here.

Great homemade food, also works like shop and take away

By chance as we waited for our flat to be ready, we stumbled upon Wild Cherry. We were blown away by the effusive owner's welcome and followed his recommendation for organic Wild thing prosecco. That was a good choice and required a second bottle just to be sure! The wine, of course, required corresponding nibblies and wow - were they so good! I am a highly expereinced vegetarian cook - I am delighted when I discover someone who surpasses my skills there. The owner could not do enough for us! I am only sad that we did not have the opportunity to go back and thank him again in person. Highly recommended and not to be missed by anyone who has an interest in fabulous tasting organic healthy food and corresponding excellent organic wine!

Great selection of dairy free cheeses and butters. As well as other fresh products. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable

Had a few hours to kill before checking into Air BnB and was a little peckish. Found this place on Trip Advisor and went to check out. Staff were obviously passionate about their products. Had the Halloumi and Aubergine each and a salad box to share. lovely sweet Aubergine with no bitter tones and the salad box was divine. Hit the spot!

Whenever in Queens Park, this is my goto for decaf (Swiss water) coffee later in the day and a snack or two. Everything in the shop is of top quality and the advice is always spot on. Really looking forward to them reopening fully.

Very nice spot and tasty food, shame the owner is rather rude. Maybe it's just his manner, but it doesn't feel like a nice experience. He also speaks in an unpleasant manner to his staff. Very nice black coffee though, to be fair. Always consistently good

To shop safely during lockdown for organic groceries, wine and home-made cakes and dips , you could not do better than to shop at Wild Cherry. You stand outside to be served, so no customer has touched your purchases. There is a table's width between the staff and you and of course you pay by contactless. Costly but worth it. Why not combine your visit with a walk round Queen's Park? Perfect.

Very safe during distancing as you are served without having to go inside and the staff keep a table's width away from you.

We got lost on our way back from the park, day 3 of our trip to Brighton. We stumbled upon this cafe deli and had a glass of organic red, absolutely delicious. We decided to buy the rest of the bottle to take away. When the man serving us realised we were taking it home, he gave us a huge wedge of the best cheese to partner the wine! Oh my word it was delicious. And as promised, no hangover! ;) really charming place.

I regularly travel to Brighton from London mainly for the Wild Cherry cafe. There’s not a place like it that I’ve come across and cafe culture is a big passion for me. All organic ingredients, great coffee, incredible guilt free cake (pictured). Great organic wines, sulphite free and beer too. Organic smoothies and juices. I buy what he recommends and I’m very happy with his suggestions. Riad is vastly knowledgeable. His food makes me feel great and he has positive energy in abundance. Thank you

I have lived just in front of this vegan bar and shop. It looks so nice that I had to try it. Unfortunately the food was quite disappointing, above all the staffed aubergine, a kind of tasteless. You might want to go there for a smoothie or a cup of coffee or to buy vegan food, rather than to eat.

The owner is rude and abrupt and very unwelcoming. Rude to customers and staff. The food is extremely overpriced and poor quality. Would not recommend this place.

Came here and got a vegan thing which was vile and i had to throw away after 2 bites - it tasted off my girlfriend also ate here and got ill recently however they do sell nice vegan ice cream and lots of other vegan products which are great

Bar extraordinaire,on y mange des plats végétariens fait maison excellents. On peut boire un thé et choisir son gâteau maison. On peut par la même occasion faire ses courses bio. Un large choix de produits. L’accueil est vraiment très chaleureux. J’y retournerai bientôt. Je recommande.

The main courses and salads are so tasty and beautifully presented. The staff are very knowledgable about nutrition and always offer good advice.

Lovely day visiting the Deli and had a small bite of a hamburger. It was served on a cork based platter. Bought some vegetarian jelly and Jasmine Ball tea. I enjoyed my tea this morning which is good for lowering my cholerstrol and heart etc.,

A really lovely and actually quite accessible cafe. Seriously delicious salads! There is a step on the inside to get to see the other foods available. Apart from that there is a wide variety of organic food and really yummy desserts! They also sell CBD balm here ♡ Staff are super lovely :)

Siempre comida buena, variada, culpa gratis y generoso. El personal es amable, el ambiente es relajado y la decoración es rústica, con arty/florece interesada. También una buena relación calidad-precio. Que vengan a Brighton, al menos una vez al año con un grupo de amigos y regular deli/restaurante es siempre nuestra elección unánime para el almuerzo. La crítica negativa que he leído no guarda ningún parecido con el Wild Cherry sé, de hecho es muy muy lejos de la marca que me pregunto si estamos hablando del mismo lugar.

What a sweet place! Wiggly wooden seats outside (sun trap), the strangest ingredients making delicious cakes, beautiful range of drinks, and lovely people. Wild cherry is at the top of a huge hill so once you are here you might as well enjoy it

Me alojé en el airbnb en la zona con mi novia, y nos despertamos con hambre y una búsqueda de Google nos trajo hasta el mas cercano café, wild cherry. Cuando entramos en el lugar entero estaba lleno de cursilerías, bajando al desinteresado/personal de resaca tras el 1830. Un vistazo al menú excesivamente caro significaba que terrible nuestra para un café y un aperitivo para ir. Compré una especie de 'biscuit de limón', sin duda hecho con montañas de harina de quinoa sin gluten gratis. Como caminamos de regreso tomé mi primer bocado de lo que me pareció la comida tenía naievly, pero estaba en cartón hecho con sabor a moho de cítricos. Sé que esto es una opinión puramente subjetiva, pero yo dudo mucho que vuelva.

Salads tasted like they were made the day before. Cucumber salad was limp and soggy. Beetroot and red cabbage salad was tasteless and chewy. Hummous had no flavour, and watery. One good thing was the gluten free bread with the salad. Expensive, considering.

Friendly people, generous food helpings, stock too large to take in during a single visit so I shall return. The passing bus service turned out to run all the way to my home on the other side of town, so this will be easy.

One of my favourite discoveries in Brighton which has gone from strength to strength over the years.The Quality and freshness of all the produce is exceptional and if you are lucky enough to try their famous baklava you certainly are in for a treat. Many foods are sourced from round the world and this was the very place I tried my first Golden Kiwi fruit brought over from New Zealand. Fancy a detox? Why not try one of the best salads you can find in the city and wash it down with one of the many organic fresh smoothies on offer. Salad I hear you say... Fear not the fresh salad comes with a variety of exciting little dishes including some of the best humus I have ever tasted and is definitely up there with the best health food in the city. The energy balls are also delight to give you an extra kick or if you just need an afternoon pick me up.There is plenty of fresh produce available to buy and take home so you can always attempt to create some of the amazing dishes you have discovered or you can just go there to get your fresh fruit, veg coffee etc.If you fancy a picnic why not grab some take away foods and head over to Queens park (3minutes away) which is perfect for families due to the vast children’s play area and of course suitable for dogs.See you soon  :)

This is a lovely local organic café. Great coffee and healthy tasty food. You can sit outside in the driftwood constructed decking, or inside, surrounded by all the beautifully presented deli goodies!

We've been to this deli a few times now and alway we are astonished at the quality, presentation and love that goes into the dishes. Ryiad, the owner is very knowledgeable and always happy to discuss whats available and where he has sourced it from.Definately a must to visit and not overly expensive....

The food is great, gluten free and vegan option available. Anything organic you can imagine is there. The shop is amazing and they have a lot of products from Sardinia the amazing Italian island. The staff is professional and helpful.I have got a lot of allergies and intolerances and they were happy and able to help me with that. It's very close to were I live so I go there often and it is a gem in the Hanover area and very Britonian kind of daily. Not to be missed if you're looking for a relaxed healthy lunch.
