Delicious Lebanese food in a casual family- run spot. The mezze sharing plate was great. Good value too! We will be back to Al Rouche when we visit Brighton again.

Great little restaurant. Very tasty food. I had fried kidneys as a starter, which might not sound very appetising but was delicious. The lamb Manda was great too. Lamb fell off the bone and was delicious. The place looks a bit tired and would be improved by a lick of paint but don't let that put you off. Also it was brilliant value!!! Recommend.

Very nice family business, the owner was very friendly and attentive. Food was spot on and delicious, I would certainly recommend. It is important to support small businesses like these as they are the most authentic and true to their culture.

Kleines, aber von außen unscheinbares Lokal. Die Speisekarte ist top. Ein Querschnitt der libanesischen Küche. Sehr gute libanesische Weine. Meine Vorspeisenplatte war delikat, die optisch top und super frisch. Halt ein Familienbetrieb. Zu den Waschräumen führt eine steile Treppe. Preislich noch akzeptabel. Ich komme gerne wieder.

As a Lebanese person living in Brighton, I can confidently say that this tasted like home. The falafel and kibbeh was cooked perfectly, the hommos authentic and creamy, tabbouleh was fresh with the right amount of lemon, and the shish taouk was seasoned the way it should be. Hard to find authentic Lebanese food in Brighton but this family-run restaurant remain true to the right recipes. 5 stars!

It was fairly quiet when we visited, perhaps due to the heavy rain outside. Shared a vegetarian mezze platter and a bottle of Lebanese wine. The food was excellent as was the wine. We will definitely visit again.

My personal experience was wonderful, food was cooked perfectly and a super peaceful environment. Family run business which was super nice to see and overall pretty good price wise. If you are looking for good Lebanese/ Mediterranean in Brighton then I would highly recommend.

I walked into Alroche as I wanted something authentic, independent and freshly prepared. Alrouche did not disappoint. The vine leaves starter was just right. The main course of salmon in a mushroom sauce was delicious. The portions were exceptionally generous. I couldn’t finish my lunch there was so much! Service was very friendly. I always like to visit independent restaurants when I have the choice and I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more at Alrouche.

Brilliant wholesome food at a reasonable price with a friendly atmosphere. I'd never had Lebanese food before, and I can certainly say this place has made me a fan of the cuisine, I'll definitely eat here again

During a summer Saturday evening, the desire to try Middle Eastern cuisine was within our reach in our eyes. We entered the "Al Rouche" establishment, a small Lebanese restaurant. Out of courtesy, we asked for availability for two seats (the restaurant was empty), and the waiter directed us to one of the many vacant tables. Looking at the menu, we noticed a good selection of dishes, although the sound of some meal names reminded us of those threatening messages from Bin Laden to the USA. The chosen dishes seemed to be made according to a traditional recipe (I believe)... Absolutely delicious and healthy. Excellent quality for the price. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a healthier alternative to wasting their precious coins on those sneaky fast food options or mysterious plant-based choices!

This is a brilliant Lebanese restaurant. The food is excellent, the prices good and the staff friendly. The fixed price menu at 16.95 is great value.

Delicious Food and kind personal!

Came for a lovely dinner yesterday and the food was delicious! The prices were great! The portions were soo large and had a large variety of items! The service was lovely. We were served by the manager I think, and he was so lovely and attentive. The tea we drank afterwards was so delicious as well! 10/10 on everything! I highly recommend!

Decently priced amazing Lebanese food

Was at a conference last week and ended up dining here 3 times with different groups and one friend thanked me for taking her there. I had previously eaten here 5 years ago. The food is delicious and the measures are generous. Some, but not all, dishes will seem familiar to anyone who has eaten Turkish or Greek food. Lebanese food has slight differences and nuances and needs to be experienced in its own right. The restaurant are very attentive to customers' needs when it comes to specific dietary requirements.

My go-to restaurant whenever I am in Brighton. Welcoming staff, delicious food and incredible value for money. Their version of Sawdat Djaj chicken livers is second to none.

So impressed with this place, great service, really fresh food and great value for money. Well worth a visit.

This is my second time at Al Rouche Brighton. I had dinner at Al Rouche with two friends. The waiter told us the vegetarian meze platter was enough for dinner without ordering mains. So, we each had a vegetarian meze platter which turned out to be more than enough food. The quality and service were excellent.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant, I went there with my wife my young daughter and my two sisters and the owners who were a family run business were so polite and kind. They gave us a larger area to sit and we're just so approachable and friendly. The food was delicious really really tasty and well seasoned comma on the portion sizes were really filling and your time I come to Brighton, I will definitely be returning to this restaurant . Absolute gem!

Started getting takeaways from Al Rouche in lockdown and have since been many times with many different friends and it always hits the spot. Most of the friends we’ve taken have said it’s one of their faves! Great portion sizes, excellent choice for both meat eaters and veggie. The house wine is also really lovely and amazing price. The waiter / owner is also always really efficient and kind. Looking forward to many more meals here!

Really awful, concerned about food poisoning, rice not even warm and smelt like old eggs, the patatas bravas which is just fried potato pieces was somehow undercooked...not worth the pricetag

Me and my partner ordered for the first time, we got the platter for two to share and then we each got an okra stew, I had veggie and my partner had lamb. He said the lamb was chewy, the sauce was bland and most of the starters he didn’t enjoy. I was pretty appalled with my stew, i had looked like the chef had poured in a frozen bag of mixed veg and the sauce was bland. The salad and hummous was nice but that’s about it unfortunately. We spent £60 and really feel cheated. I won’t be returning.

My first real introduction to Lebanese food and it was pleasant surprise. So fresh and flavoursome. The gentleman that served us was nice and helpful too. Definite value for money! I had enough food to get another meal out of it the following day. I will definitely come back to eat here when I visit Brighton again.

Average Lebanese food, overcharged, lots left over, so quantity wiae it was ok. Asked for take away and told they don't do it. He did, but with a grumpy face Family business, man was over run and also was not friendly when taking order or when i asked for help with dishes. Overall dissatisfied, as i went with the family.

Very delicious food specially the falafel so good 😋 Little disappointed he didn't have shawarma sandwich. 5/5 highly recommend coming here if u haven't already

Im afraid the food is not good .had the mixed grill and was so overcooked as if they reheated it from the night before so dry and not plesent at all and to sum it up had a very grumpy waiter and was feeling very uneasy if you asked him for anything

Wow - what delicious food! My family and I stopped here for an early dinner, some of us meat eaters and some vegans and stopped here. So many incredible flavours with every bite. Pictured is the vegan meze. Everything was very reasonably priced and such brilliant service -will definitely be back!!!

Al Rouche is by far the best Lebanese restaurant in Brighton. The staff are wonderful, the food is always excellent and the restaurant has a classic atmosphere that you can’t find in most modern day restaurants in Brighton. We’ve been coming here for over two years now and whenever we think of going somewhere else, we always come back here and have the best time. Reasonably priced and delicious, it really can’t be beaten.

My friend and I had the vegetarian options at Al Rouche. The food was good and prices were cheap. As someone who lived in the Middle East for five years 2010 to 2015, I am quite familiar with Lebanese food.

The set menu is remarkable value for money- masses of food for £12. Has to be amongst the best value restaurants in Brighton. The stairs to the toilet are very steep! They have some good Lebanese wines on the menu and beer etc. not sure why another reviewer says that they don’t serve alcohol because they do! We come here every couple of weeks because the food is great and it’s exceptional value. Highly recommended - don’t be put off by the somewhat tired decor - it adds to the charm…

Best middle Eastern dinner in Brighton! Can't recommend this hidden gem enough. Had the set menu for two, HUGE mezze platter starter, delicious mains, and Lebanese mint tea after. Super affordable, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious and wholesome food. Vegan options available. We'll be back!

Chanced upon this little place but so glad we did. Lovely food - two vegetarians shared a mezze platter (the kibbeh and moutabel were delicious) while the two meat eaters each had the three course set menu. All was delicious and great value. The owner was lovely and the complimentary coffee and mint tea a nice touch. Would readily recommend.

An old and reliable favourite. The meze is their signature, so don't miss out. It is part of their (now standard) set menu. This menu is both inexpensive and when accompanied with the meze, hard to eat all of it. 😄

I’ve lived in Lebanon for a long time and my partner is Lebanese. This is probably the closest we’ve come to eating Lebanese food that feels like something we’d have in Beirut. It’s also very decently priced. Our best Brighton find so far. Spectacular.

We were just for a few days in Brighton and walking around foudn this Street full of middle Eastern restaurants, we try several but Al Rouche leads the pack with a consistently variety of flavours in the mezze. They is love being that 5 hot and 6 cold plates in that platter.

Called in last night for dinner. We were the only ones in the restaurant so there was a lack of atmosphere, but it was late on a Sunday evening so it's too be expected. Anyway, we went for the set menu. Had the Mezze to start with, plenty to choose from and it was like a meal on its own, and that was 2 of us sharing. For mains we both went for the mixed grill. All pretty tasty, and again big plate of food. Although they could do with serving it with a few dipping sauces as it was all a bit dry, but this wasn't a massive issue. Finished off with a selection of Backlawa and a Lebanese coffee. All this and a bottle of wine came to less than £40 for 2 of us, so very reasonable. Both of us left happily full and will definitely be back again.

Acabo de tomar una cena temprano con amigos: elegí el mezze mixto para dos (como lo recomendó el camarero aunque éramos 3) que ofrece una gran selección de entrantes tradicionales (hay fotos en AT): caliente y fresco. Teníamos el shish tawouk como plato principal (pollo) que viene con arroz y ensalada, era una porción sustancial. Toda la comida estaba recién preparada, recién preparada, era una comida encantadora. Teníamos la casa vino tinto (español) que tenía una buena relación calidad-precio. Otros vinos estaban disponibles. Lo pasamos bien.

La verdad que estábamos dando una vuelta y decidimos entrar en el restaurante pk habia buena decoración. La camarera que nos atendió estuba sola, y aún asi todo lo k pedimos salió rápido y estaba bueno. Buen servicio en general y la comida muy buena. Precios acorde a la buena calidad de comida. Música diferente (en vivo), que eso siempre triunfa y da mucho ambiente.Local en el puerto con shishas, muy bien todo.
