Family of four adults, mixed starter was extremely good. And everyone was more than satisfied with their main course. Waiter maintained a sense of humour whilst being efficient. Some may feel it’s a little expensive, believe me it’s good value!

Well I wanted to thank you for the food poisoning 🙏🏼 well done,.. will order again whenever I need to get this sick again:) thanks a million! Tbf, I knew something was wrong with the food the moment I opened the bag! The mushiest fish I’ve ever seen, not even exaggerating… it was like eating cereal than a battered fish:) should’ve thrown it in the garbage .. my own fault!

I came here on the 11th November and I say it was the best visit. The gentleman was very friendly and very welcoming. The fish and chips was sooooooo delicious 😋. I will definitely come back in the future. ☺️

Wow, great food especially the chips. I tried the cheeseburger and hubby had the steak and ale pie. Best chip shop food I have had for a long time. Great table service. We had a very nice gent waiting the tables, very helpful. Also made a nice cup of tea which we really needed today as it was so cold. Really glad we stopped.

Mixed grill of seafood recommended, make sure you are hungry first, as it's a lot of well prepared/presented (large) fish. I had the salad rather than chips and that was a good choice.. The vanilla ice cream is also made with vanilla pods. The bar is licensed so a bottle of pino goes down well with all this...

The fish was cooked to perfection and was nice and light, the batter was delicious. The chips were also great and overall the quality and presentation of the food was impressive. Brilliant service from staff, would definitely recommend and will try again.

What a brilliant fish & chip shop and you can also sit down and enjoy the fresh food. 5 star service and friendly staff. This is a hidden gem in West Wickham and just what the area needs.

Had a regular box of chips at lunchtime yesterday. The guys in the shop were v friendly and the chips were the best fish & chip shop chips I've had in ages. Superb and highly recommended.

Hard to find a fish and chips shop that it's nice to sit-in for a meal. Beautiful atmosphere and attentive staff. Portions are quite big which is great if you love food 😋 Place is great for kids/club get togethers as if offers range of traditional meals youngster's enjoy.

Purchased fried cod and chips and also grilled cod and chips. Both were dishes were absolutely horrible! The grilled cod was hardly grilled and was very mushy with no taste at all. The fired fish was also mushy and again had absolutely no taste at all. I never thouhht that you could get chips so wrong but the chips were also rehaleated and not cooked fresh as they tastesld like reheated cardboard.I could tell that the fish was not fresh and ended up throwing away 3 meals totalling over £30. 0 stars would be too kind a rating for this place.

I have used this fish and chip shop since it opened the day, 7 years ago. Never have I had a bad meal. Great value, the best fish and the best chips.

Small places like this, trying hard and serving good tasting food deserve more credit for their efforts than the typical chain restaurants nearby. As a visitor to the area, this feels inviting to come back one day.

Best chips in Bromley. Crispy and not soggy. Keep it up. They only do one fish size - wish they had different sizes.

Took my son there for lunch today. Friendly service and the whole grilled sea bream was sublime. Clearly a cut above an average fish and chip restaurant. Highly recommended

Very good fish and chips fresh fish light batter not dripping in oil.

Went on a very busy Friday night. Service was friendly and fast. Sausage and chips were perfect.

Never had a bad meal here! We love the grilled no batter option for the fish and large number if aide dishes available. Chef always very accomodating to our requests. We always eat in here!

Takeaway fish and chips and calimari were both pretty good

I went into the shop and was the only one In there and still managed to get my order wrong. I won't ever set foot in the place again!!!!!!!. Not even an apology when I called to complain.......

We thoroughly found the dining experience absolutely great. Feti and Serhan were fantastic! Feti made a special lemon and herb sauce for my mixed fish dish. Superb food everything fresh. My lady enjoyed the apple juice too! Music excellent with our meal. Please come and enjoy this 'plaice' (get it..?😁) Your taste buds will thank you! 😋

This is no ordinary fish & chip shop - eating in was a very pleasant experience. The fish (rock salmon & haddock) was cooked to perfection, plenty of chips and tartare sauce. The restaurant is licensed so we had a nice glass of wine with our fish. The service was great too. Couldn’t fault a thing.

Passed two other chippies to get to this one as it is fat the best in this immediate area. Strongly recommend you try it.

Always highly rated Wickham Bay, and recommended it to friends. Ordered cod & chips last Friday and was quite disappointed. The fish had a slight smell of omonia which tells me the fish was on the turn I have always had really lovely fish from here, but this experience has put me off using Wickham Bay in future. I don't know whether the shop had changed hands , I didn't see any of the staff that usually work in the shop and normally you have to wait for it to be cooked but it was already in the hot plate. Will go back to buying from the Big Catch in Beckenham which is always very, very good.

Very clean well presented resturant freshly cooked food helpful friendly staff will definitely go again and recommend you do try this place.. every time I go it's always the same good quality and consistency of good food.

I've been going here recently as recommend by someone else, very large potions, good quailty of cod and chips - and there steak and ale pie is delish

Visited with my daughter and grandchildren for a eat in fish & chip dinner and we were so happy we chose Wickham Bay. Great food, super service and super value. The staff were super friendly and so good with the children. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We went to this restaurant on a whim as we were meeting friends locally a little later. It was clearly very popular for take away and the orders were flying out of the door but we had a lovely meal and were made to feel very welcome as we arrived. We both had the very generous avocado and prawn cocktail which was delicious (king prawns!). My husband had the scampi tails and I had the grilled salmon. Both were cooked perfectly (I judge how good a restaurant is by how the salmon is cooked in fish restaurants as it’s so easy to overdo it). The garlic and lemon sauce was perfect with the salmon and the accompanying salad was delicious. Our server could not have been more helpful and we really enjoyed the meal. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back.

Nothing really beats a great fish and chips on a cold evening. So it's nothing short of spectacular when you find such great food right on your proverbial doorstep. The owner is a local, and takes pride in the fact. The shop offers great food from a competitive menu and great prices. Recently they added fresh pies to the menu. These can be seen at the front where you usually place your order. Cannot go wrong when eating here. You'll be fed well and treated great.

Best I've had, and I've had fish and chips in Scotland, Ireland and all over England. Nothing as good as this place. The batter is unbelievable, so light, clean and delicious. I ordered the seafood platter, against my girlfriend's wishes, as she didn't think it would be enough food for us, and it was the perfect amount. The chips were perfectly cooked, a little crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Service was lovely. Absolutely love the décor of this place. The tiles on the tables. The brick walls. The flooring. I will return for more.

We ate in here, midweek for dinner. We were originally heading to Pizza Express but changed our minds as we walked past. We ordered Cod & Chips and I had the seafood platter, which I underestimated as it was huge! The selection of fish on the platter was great, but definitely suited to share over 2 smaller eaters. I took so enough for another meal home! The seafood platter consisting of battered and un-battered calamari, cod bites, prawns, scampi and a few other bits. We ordered chips, curry sauce etc. All were lovely and tasted great. Food took a little while to arrive, which we liked as we knew it was being cooked fresh! 2 drinks, 2 mains and the sides (chips, curry sauce) etc all came to just over £30 which we thought was reasonable.

I went to Wickham Bay and ordered Chicken and Mushroom pie and Cod. The fish tasted very nice and fresh but the pie was not nice. It tasted a little off, would not recommend. Although, our kind server took it back and we was not charged for it. We ordered another cod instead. Unfortunately they were out of mash so we ordered chips with our cod. The chips were alright, quite tasty. We also ordered curry sauce and tartar sauce. The curry sauce was alright and the tartar sauce was nice and creamy. The service was quite good. Would definitely recommend you visit Wickham Bay, kids loved it!

Used to love their fish and chips recommended to friends and we all had a takeaway after the football. The batter on the cod was soggy and the three portions of rock/huss were overcooked and rubbery. We were very disappointed as in the past it has been very good. Hope this restaurant soon returns to previous standards.

Went shoping down West Wickham and delighted to see Wickham Bay fish and chips shop open and we could have a table. Ordered a Lunch menu for £7. 50 each with plus a glass of wine and apple tizer. bill come to £21. It was the best I have eaten in a long time with mushy [eas and slice tom. with cucumber hamemade tartar sauce. service was excellent and very clean. see they do deliveries. I would rather this meal delivered to me then a Chinese

I have just had 5 fish bites with a portion of chips.... absolutely delicious and the fish bites were more than generous! I will certainly go back there.

1st time we have ordered from Wickham Bay, was disappointed with the meal, Fish and Chips were warm, Not Hot, the batter was very light in colour and soggy, batter was not crispy at all. Was very much less than expected especially for the price. On the good side was delivered on time.

Wow, so been ordering here on Deliveroo for a little while and thought we would try the lemon sole and a desert too. Just wow, this has to be one of nicest puddings I have had in…. well I can’t remember. Loved the lemon sole too. Great grub guys thank you.

Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Lovely light batter and the chips are so good! Definitely try the homemade tartare sauce too. Can't wait for lockdown to be over so I can go and eat in the restaurant. Highly recommend this plaice 😉

One of the best fish and chip shop restaurants around in my opinion! You can also have things like giant prawns in a think crispy batter! Eaten at this place about 4 times now.

The food was lovely! It was all so fresh and really tasted amazing! I actually don’t eat fish but every now and then fancy Cod and chips and it really didn’t disappoint... The cod was literally perfect! The restaurant was very clean and tidy and Covid safety taken seriously. Staff were really friendly too...Really happy we tried Wickham Bay today!

We had dinner in their in a nice, clean and friendly environment. Service was great. The chips were very nice and the cod ok although the batter and fish were a little dry. Beer choice good and value for money compared to many. Not sure that I'd go again

100% the best fish and chip shop I have ever been to (and I've tried a few!). The chips are crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside and the fish is always cooked beautifully. Love it here

Wonderfully fresh fish, generous servings and their home-made tartare sauce is to die for! Also impressed that they don’t use any plastics or polystyrene in their takeaway packaging which was all paper and cardboard.

Very good quality fish and chips, have been back twice as so impressed with the quality.

Due to Covid 19, we had a delivery to our home through Just Eat. Part of the order was a veggie burger- unfortunately, they have a new chef who cannot tell the difference between a fish-cake and a veggie burger, I phoned them and the chef apologised but would deliver a VEGGIE BURGER replacement - refund offered. Not happy.

Ordered on just eat for the family it was delicious such big portions and soo fresh definitely will be ordering again! Would highly recommend this place

We went to Wickham Bay for the first time recently for lunch. I can honestly say that it was the best fish and chips I have ever had! The 2 ladies who were serving us were excellent, very friendly, not only to us but the whole restaurant. Please visit you will not be disappointed!

Cod was very odd as it flaked As though it was a very large fish And not the smaller variety we are used to

A typical fish and chip shop appearance from the outside, and clearly doing a lot of take-away business, but to miss the sit-in restaurant experience would be a shame.We tried the prawn cocktail, fried king prawns and pan-seared scallops for starters and all were well cooked, very tasty and nicely presented. The main courses (catch of the day, and the traditional "cod 'n chips") were also a delight. The cod was perfectly cooked in a very light batter, and the chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Perfect.A small selection of decent wines and beer also on the menu. All in all, highly recommended.

We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions, fish and chips are always a good standard. Not greasy and good sized portions. Service is friendly and efficient.

Been here a few times for takeaway fish and chips. Certainly not the cheapest, for the three of us a good £5 more than another local chippie for same order, but the quality of fish is good and well cooked. Good portion of chips also. Got busier as we waited for our order and then unfortunately on gettig home found two portions of cod and chips in the bag but not the rock and chips ordered and paid for so another trip to get that. Staff lady thought perhaps another customer had been given our order. Nuisance for extra trip but enjoyable meal when we got it.

Disappointed with fish served in restaurant on Friday 10 Jan. Perhaps it was my choice of small cod with chips and peas that led to the disappointing piece of cod that was served up. I am a regular customer of takeaway service which I have found to be very good but should I return to restaurant side I will not be ordering a small cod. The service however was excellent.
