Lovely place to eat. Can get busy at times so take this in to account when visiting.

The steak and kidney pudding was just awful. There was just meat and pastry in it with no gravy in the pudding at all. I tried to give the meat to my dogs, neither would eat it. The mashed potato and carrots were very nice, but it was spoilt by the pie. We did complain and the staff were very nice and gave us £5 refund.

We hadn't booked for Sunday lunch and were put in the second bar. Asking for two diet cokes, they only had one in stock and offered to get one from Tesco over the road...The whole place gave the impression that new staff had just arrived. A party of 6 and 4 came in for lunch and were turned away. The food was ok, plenty and hot.

Stopped off at this lovely little village pub on the drive down to Camberley. The White Hart was the perfect country pub for lunch. We all chose different items off the menu from the Philly steak sandwich, a beef burger and a chicken gyros with a side Greek salad, each dish was tasty and filling.

Superb Sunday dinner , four different vegetables and potatoes , lovely Yorkshire. Apple crumble was delicious.

I would be ashamed if i had dished this up to guests as sunday lunch! Hardly any veg, burnt yorkshires and no stuffing.

Very average in many ways. Sunday roast now has 2 cheap vegetables and cauliflower cheese (good) Gone are the days of a good plate full of food, shame as it was way better in past.

I’m not sure why this pub is on trip advisor other than the quaint atmosphere. Nice place to grab a quick pint.

Been having breakfast here for the last 4 months, most weeks . Good value and friendly efficient staff. Normal breakfast today . Bill should have been £17.85. Charged £22.80 as had one tea pot extra , no milk which gave 2 extra cups . Have not been charged this in the past when we have had an extra pot of 1 tea bag and hot water . £5.95 extra . With spoons across the road not sure this extra cost is worth it . Will stop me going back ..

The All day breakfast was amazing, we all had difference selection of 10 items and all plates were correct..

Very well priced spot for lunch. Me and the wife both had the lasagne as it looked amazing on another person's table. It didn't dissapoint and the chips were amazing. I also had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, wow. Staff and atmosphere was great also.

What a little gem of a place! Very welcoming, the selection of Ales and spirits is very good! Clean, tidy and well looked after in my opinion! I've not tried the food! But it looked amazing as it was coming out of the kitchen!

First time in five years . Will definitely return. Lovely lunch. Homemade lasagne etc for me. The staff are helpful and full of fun. They now only do lunches so I am returning with a different set of friends.

This pub is so underrated and has to face Wetherspoons across the road as competition but lovely people & service.

Had breakfast there today and it was absolutely delicious. The size of the breakfast was big and it filled me up for the whole day. Will be defenetly visiting again. Best thing about is that you can choose items you want in your breakfast and size. 5 items, 7 items 8 or 9

One star is generous. Walked in this afternoon (30th april) and walked straight back out again. Horrible attitude from the woman behind the bar. She was rude to two other customers then made an unnecessary comment as I was walking out. Said she was stressed as she was on her own but the bar wasn’t busy. Don’t think she should be in a customer facing role. A real shame on the place as I have been in there previously for breakfast which was lovely but I won’t be returning again.

We used to visit regularly pre-pandemic and really enjoyed it but today we went and were not impressed so will not be visiting again 🤔

We had breakfast today (April 2nd) - all four of us. The pub was clean, cosy and welcoming. The bar staff pleasant and attentive. The full breakfasts were quite excellent, especially the two veggie ones. Probably the best full-English breakfast we have had in years. Highly recommended

Great staff who knew the menu and gave helpful advice. Thursday night was Thai food. It was delicious!

Went for Sunday roast pork with crackling… unfortunately the chef was unable to provide! So had beef instead, swimming in way too much gravy. Didn’t like the blaring tv on. The ladies bathroom had NO hot water. Probably won’t return.

The London pride wasn't good although being told it was a new barrel I didn't finish the replacement. And went elsewhere. It is normally OK

Food OK, but surrounded with Tv's all showing football with no alternative place to sit and eat lunch. We shall not be returning. Might as well use Wetherspoons on the other side of the street.

A lovely place, with a great outdoor space, which is covered and heated with a TV to watch sports.

Been 3 times for Thai food in the evening. Excellent quality each time. Recommend the massaman curry.

Walked in at 12 to book a table for Sunday dinner at 2pm. Returned at 1:30 just to be told that they forgot to carry out a simple request. Rather than apologising proceeded to blame us for their incompetence.

This is a lovely old pub we had Sunday lunch unfortunately we're weren't impressed, we decided to have a small portion which was chicken but not slices a wing and leg personally I prefer actual meat not pieces no flavour in the meal overall, our friends had beef which was pretty rare, the best bit the potatoes!

I found the Staff rude. There was hardly any beer available. We ordered food and then half hour later was told they had run out of two of the meals. Won't be coming back.

OK for lunch. Not a fan of TV in the pub always on for no reason. Lacks character inside.

Nice staff, attentive and helpful. Food was unremarkable; I ordered mussels and chips, I got a lot of chips and a few mussels on a plate, not what I expected. The covered area did allow smokers, a big issue for my asthmatic wife and unpleasant to have around food.

So I visited this place for a quick bite to eat, as it looks quite nice in the pictures online. But when I got seated the staff took ages to come and take an order. I must have waited around 15/20 mins before I was seen. Also the table i were sent to wasn’t clean!!!! I had wiped in my bag so I tried to wipe it down myself but it wasn’t very good, as it was one of them Rattan tables but the glass wasn’t on it. So when a members staff finally came over to take an order I asked if the table could be sanitised (AS WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC!) and she said ... The table has been sanitised this morning, and it’s had to keep doing! So she didn’t do what I had asked and get the cleaning things. Also after i had ordered my (Sandwich and drink) I had to wait around an hour or slightly longer before the food came out to me! There were also other table around me that said to me that they had been waiting over an hour for their food too! And the place wasn’t even busy! I don’t recommend this place!

The beers on offer were well kept and served well. Outside areas spacious and importantly warm. Only down side was after ordering drinkinks at 9.30 we were told that everyone needed to be out by 9.45 which spoilt the evening slightly as felt rushed and probably would not have ordered more drinks if we had known we had slightly less time. Still worth a visit.

Since the pub has been taken over, and re openened after closure, we visited for a lunch. The meals are terrible compared to th e previous cooks . menu is nothing compared to the old one, and frankly just a copy of the one in the Oliver Cromwell where the new so called cook has come from. The chips were disgusting, I could not get rid of the taste for hours. Will not return.This used to be a good family pub with excellent food, al be a pit pricey but good grub

Popped in to the pub with a friend for a couple of drinks yesterday and was really pleased with the whole place. The beers were great and the food looked amazing and the staff were tip top. Evidently the place has been taken over by new people and they certainly have done a great job in a very short time. There’s rumours that they may be opening a steak bar opening in the future which would be fantastic. Looks as if some of the staff have joined from other local pubs and they are a great addition to the venue. Nice outdoor area at the rear and tables and chairs on the pavement outside. Well done everybody. Hope you are very successful.

Due to there being no customers in, I asked if they had served any of the real ale that evening, was assured that they had and that it was cooled.Unfortunately the Timothy Taylor's Landlord was not only warm it was cloudy and tasted disgusting.Ended up having a pint of what was meant to be extra cold lager, well it was cooler than the real ale, but certainly not extra cold and it also had a strange taste.Hopefully new owners will turn this place around as it could be a really good place.

Classic Pub, getting revamped soon should be better

My colleagues and I were working at an event at the Burgess Hall so we pre-booked our table and meals for a large party after working for a long day. The service was 100% amazing - they remembered us from the year before and were super friendly and helpful to us. The food came in big homely portions (a bit of dressing on the salad would be nice for next time though) and was really delicious. I had a veggie nutroast topped with goats cheese (and they gave me an extra yorkie too ❤️). Will 100% be going back later this year if they'll have us!

This has now taken over as the best pub in St Ives. Excellent food and clear fresh beer - the quality maintained through barrel changes, which can be tricky.

We go here all the time as the food is so homemade and nice. Very cosy small pub but rarely gets full so usually can get seated. The staff are always lovely and even when they get new people in, they are still just as nice! Great pub
