Whistle Stop Cafe in Suffolk Coastal

An absolutely lovely place for food and drink. Lovely, friendly efficient staff and interesting interior. There is an extensive menu of snacks, meals and drinks, hot and cold. The cheese and ham ciabatta and ham roll we had were delicious! There's a selection of cakes as well. It does get busy understandably but we'll worth trying to get a table. I believe you can book .

Fabulous brunch! The chips perfectly crispy, and everything else was of the highest quality. The staff are so cheerful and helpful too. A must visit!

I love coming here for their brunch. My family and I used to come a lot when I lived in Woodbridge and whenever I bring my university friends home this is always the first stop! Lovely location, easily accessible and always amazing food!

We were visiting Woodbridge as part of a long weekend holiday exploring Suffolk. The Whistlestop Cafe was recommended by two helpful ladies in the free museum. We enjoyed an amazing cooked breakfast!! The best we’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious, great quality food, served quickly and in a friendly manner. I will definitely go there again and would highly recommend it. Most importantly, the cafe is all railway themed throughout. So much to look at - even in the toilets😄. Wonderful!!

This was our first visit and we thought this cafe would make a change from the usual coffee shop. We arrived about midday and it was quite busy. We saw two free tables although they had ‘Reserved 12.30’ on them. We asked if could sit at one of them and one of the waitresses said we could but only if we were having tea or coffee but we could not have anything to eat. My husband said that was alright as we still had about half an hour. The same waitress said we only had 20 minutes because she needed 10 minutes to clear the table! As we were deciding whether to stay or not she interrupted and almost demanded to know our decision. Despite her negative attitude, we stayed for a quick coffee but felt uncomfortable as the same waitress was very obviously talking about us to a colleague on two occasions. I tend to vote it’s my feet and will not tolerate rudeness so our first visit was also our last visit.

Perfect for a pre-cinema matinee lunch. Friendly staff and atmosphere, good selection of simple and delicious savouries/ light meals, as well as cakes and pastries. Very treasonable priced. We liked it a lot.

Staff really helpful and welcoming very kind to are dog with treats and moved us to a quieter table as our dog was nervous where we were sitting with other dogs going passed. Food was excellent and so nice to see lots of different choices than from a standard menu good value for money

We were able to park our large motorhome in the adjoining car park and have breakfast in this attractive cafe with our Border Collie. Breakfasts were excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Look forward to a return visit next time we are in the area.

I had the crispy duck salad from the specials and the wife had the cheeseburger and chips from the standard menu. The duck salad was amazing and if I had been given that as a starter in a michelin restaurant I would have been quite happy . It was only £8 and that is now a common price for a starter and this is lunchtime so quantity wise I was quite happy The wifes cheeseburger , was a decent burger, nice melted cheese, maybe not everyones favorite roll as soft white, plenty of very nice chips, I would guess triple cooked handcut from taste and presentation and about £10 so with an adnams for me , wine for the wife still under £30 for lunch which I am finding harder to find nowadays

Ate what I could with my fingers and tried spreading near liquid butter on my toast straight from the foil wrapping but gave up on the whole thing and melted butter over me. What a perfect place to start a day. Nothing was too much trouble for the young ladies working in there. You need to book a table in advance as it gets very busy. Epic sausage and fried bread.

Former railway waiting room at Woodbridge station with lots of railway memorabilia. We were made very welcome and there were a number of lunch options on a specials board as well as the main menu. Pulled pork and cheese panini was delicious and filling and my husband enjoyed his good-value soup and a sandwich. I really didn't like the coffee for some reason, but he had the same cappuccino and insisted it was me! They were restocking with delicious looking cakes and they seem to get a bit of a rush at about 3pm for afternoon tea; space is limited so its worth bearing this in mind.

Although extremely busy we were given a reserved table which was wiped clean and our order taken straight away. Only waited about 20 minutes for an awesome brunch. Loved the sure potatoes, not a lover of Cumberland sausage but my husband thought they were great. Cappuccino piping hot so very pleased as they can get cool rather quickly. Very good value. We frequently visit for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It's always busy but the staff are warm and friendly, and the food is cooked to perfection. We highly recommend the all day brunch! The staff always make a fuss of the children and the activity sheets with colouring pencils are a welcome distraction. We would go every Sunday if we could!

Part of the B&B;, so you pay extra for breakfast. Absolutely awful fried breakfast, I'm sure if they could the baked beans would be fried. Don't bother paying the extra for the B&B; breakfast, there are plenty of places, that are cheaper too, in Woodbridge for you to have a tasty breakfast.

We’ve been popping into this cafe for years now so it’s time I left a review. Today we were lucky enough to arrive early for brunch and get a table in the sunshine. It can get very busy as it’s a popular place but always worth the wait. My husband had the all day breakfast and I had a bacon and brie panini. Both were absolutely delicious, served to us quickly and efficiently. The staff are always friendly. Dogs are also welcome. The prices are very good too, real value for money. All in all this place is a little gem.

We had to wait a little while for a table but were able to have coffees.while waiting which were very good...staff were really personable and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed cheese scone, bbq pork sarnie and hot smoked salmon sarnie. Followed up with some yummy cakes. Regular visitors ro the lovely Woodbridge so confident we'll be back..thank you!
