I've gone out of my way just to come here- brilliant customer service and great food. Such a quality delicious food I cannot fault it. Took my friend with me one time and have spread the word since word of mouth is best advertiment. It's little things like gentleman holding the door open or helping with highchair when he saw me scanning the room looking for one, the ladies spent time talking to me about the surrounding since I'm new to the area. This is the true standard of what it should be like- this small business is perfect example and I'm so happy to go back and make a regular visit. They notice you and your needs, happy to help and ALL are super friendly. I'm all about supporting small business.. over the years few has lost me over rudeness because either they couldn't handle how busy they were and lack of staff or they forgot to remain humbled. I never went back to those. This one is shining example and please keep up!! Xx

Nice atmosphere, polite staff. Unfortunately the coffee was a disaster. Too much milk and less coffee in the latte, overflown into the saucer. Maybe they had inexperienced staff today. We are tempted to go back as some lovely coffee pictures can be seen in previous reviews. Better luck next time.

I visited Woodbridge with a friend for lunch. As I had been to The Tea Hut several times with family I thought I would introduce it to my friend. It was a lovely day, therefore we were able to sit on the terrace which was quite busy. Menu was given promptly and our order was taken quite quickly, very pleasant gentleman taking the order with a nice personality. We ordered a jacket potato with chilli and dirty chips, which basically was the same, chips with chilli. drinks came quickly. People watching whilst chatting, not a lot of food was appearing. After 45 minutes we asked a waitress where our food was, she went and checked and returned with it about 5 minutes later. As I said before not a lot of food was being served, what was, was mostly sandwiches, therefore why did it take 50 minutes? The chilli would have been made, the jacket potato would have been cooked (we know this because we were told it was the last one!) and if it just meant the chips needed cooking, this would only have taken 15 minutes maximum. I must say, the food was outstanding and deserving of a 5 star rating. The chips were crunchy and the chilli had masses of flavour and just the right amount of heat. The upshot was, we missed 2 buses, the next one was cancelled, so instead of arriving home at about 3.30 as we had hoped, it was gone 6pm which; put a real dampener on our little jaunt into Woodbridge. I expect I shall return because it is a lovely place and a great setting and delightful people, but they do need to deal with their timings. There was a degree of disgruntlement on the terrace as others were waiting an inordinate amount of time as well.

Went to order inside as only wanted a couple of coffees to takeaway and a icecream. It felt very awkward as asked for two coffees and a icecream and got ignored. I Had to explain to my son that they were busy as to maybe the reason as to not acknowledging we were there right in front of them and we spoke to them to receive no reply. A Simple hello or please bear with us would have been polite especially when young children are about. The coffee was lovely and the icecream but politeness and acknowledgement costs nothing. Unfortunately we won't be back

Unfortunately this cafe is not making the most of it's lovely position by the river in Woodbridge. Nice place to sit and service was fast and polite, however the tea was just a teabag in a mug. They had run out of most cakes and scones which left a very limited choice. Both myself and my husband opted for the victoria sponge as we aren't brownie fans. The cake was dry and obviously not made freshly. For the price I would expect at least a teapot and fresh cake. What a shame.

Limited menu, not helped by lack of jacket potatoes. The food was wholesum, and drinks were good. The kids' meals were ideal for our grandchildren. The sun was shining, and the small band playing made for a great atmosphere. After a short walk by the river, we went back for ice creams. Next visit, we just had coffees and a chat with the owners. We will be going back again soon as I forgot to pay. I'm very sorry, B & S, but you do know me!

Took visiting friends here as we've usually had a good experience. We were told there was a 20.minute wait for food but it actually took 45 minutes for our sandwiches to arrive. By that time we'd finished our drinks so ordered more drinks (cold ones, they only had to grab bottles from.the fridge) but they forgot to bring them. It's a great spot but they didn't have enough staff on. If they'd had more staff then they could have fitted two tables into the time it took for us to be served - we were only having a (supposedly) quick sandwich lunch but were there for over an hour. They did apologise for the long wait when they finally brought our food, but no apology for forgetting the drinks. Hopefully this us a one off so I will give them another chance

Very disappointing indeed….. We were told the kitchen was closed for lunch when we arrived at 2.20pm and so we could only have a sausage roll or cake… We were then told to pay up even though we were clearly in the middle of eating as the cafe closes at 3pm?? It appears that this establishment clearly doesn’t want to make any money on a busy August bank holiday weekend?? Come on if you want your business to survive please be more user friendly customer led and flexible…..

A great location for a tea hut / cafe that was really popular for people grabbing drinks, cake and food. They're open 9am-3pm, but stop serving food at 2pm, so it's breakfast and lunch - the breakfast is served all day. We are new to the area and recently discovered the Angel. They offer a very good selection of ales and lager beers from draught, but their specialty must be their gin & tonics. The lady who served us was very enthusiastic about the selection of gins and tonics, and made some excellent recommendations based on our taste. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the week after. We were welcomed back and the staff remembered what drinks we had during our previous visit. That is a level of service that I do not experience often. Recommended!

If you want smashed avocado on sourdough with pea shoots and other unnecessary greenery then this cafe is not for you. But if you want the best quality full English, fresh unfussy honestly presented British and local food then you’re in the right place. Always a warm welcome, seriously tasty local food, simply cooked and unpretentiously presented. Today’s special were some seriously big juicy scallops which I had with my full English and they were an inspired combination and very popular. Thanks Sean for another outstanding breakfast. Keeping consistent standards like this is a real labour of love but it shines through in the food. Lovely breakfast and not an avocado in sight. PS a ‘greasy spoon’ this is not!
