Poor service, poor food, wait time was absolutely ridiculous and prices were extortionate. Terrible.

We walk here one Sunday a month at least for breakfast and the service is always super friendly. We recommend coming earlier in the morning before the rush of the kids finishing football but we have always managed to get a table. Highly recommend the milkshakes and waffles. Always welcoming and its great to see a local cafe so busy.

We came for a spot of lunch last week myself, my sister and her partner. The staff were super friendly and welcoming too. The cafe itself is very quaint with sweet decor inside. We ordered tea, an iced coffee and a smoothie. The lovely staff brought an extra pot of hot water for the tea. The iced coffee was delicious perfect amount of vanilla too, and my sister said the smoothie was really lovely. To eat we had two of the sausage paninis and I had the bacon goats cheese and onion chutney panini which was really delicious and generously filled. Served with a lovely creamy coleslaw and crisps. Had a lovely time at whisk and I am really looking forward to returning with my partner and little girl to try the delicious looking cakes! The afternoon tea looked great too!

Popped in for breakfast whilst visiting our daughter in the village - the food was very tasty and friendly, warm customer service. Felt covid safe as the tables were well spaced. Look forward to a return visit.

Came here on Sunday morning and had coffee and their Pancake stack with bacon maple syrup and blueberries - everything absolutely delicious and plentiful - my other half sharing as the lovely waitress offered to bring extra plate and cutlery . Such great service from really super friendly staff who were cleaning and sanitising tables and chairs when people left. An absolute treat to be there and we will most definitely be back Thank you Whisk!

I like this cafe for its excellent bacon sandwiches and good quality coffee and really pleasant service. However It is by comparison with cafes in the Town centre a lot more expensive with take away charges more appropriate to dining on the premises than take away. Dont know whether they are responsible for dressing the post box outside but if so keep up the entertainment

I visited on my own for two lattes. Found myself waiting outside the door as two women and a child ordered Inside and had a nice long chat to the staff. The waiting outside for 15 mins became a little annoying as usually they ask you to wait outside once ordered, yet these two women seemed to have ordered and waited inside chatting to staff until there order was ready. Seemed double standards really as when I made my order “2lattes please” I was asked to wait outside straight away. I suppose I was not important enough to wait inside or perhaps I just didn’t know the staff personally? Who knows but it was a little frustrating. I won’t be going again.

I have been to this lovely little cafe 3 times now and can not fault their yummy breakfasts. I love the perfectly cooked poached eggs on thick granary toast with a well made latte. Take out of a cheese panini comes with a side of coleslaw and some crisps too. Its a family friendly , independent cafe in Walton and I will definitely be returning soon. Lovely staff too .

Love the positive environment created in the caffe, clearly a lot of time and effort has been put into the baking as I can’t fault a thing. Chocolate orange brownies are to die for! I would definitely recommend trying the new “cake nuts” as they are so delicious at such a good deal, 3 for £5. Extremely original ideas with many cakes and drinks on the menu, keep up the good work!!

Admittedly, I’m usually very picky about where I choose to go to eat. I am VERY specific about cleanliness, food quality and staff too. I had heard about whisk from a few of my friends so thought I would try it and I was blown away. I was welcomed with a wave of warmth from the staff which created such a lovely atmosphere around the cafe. It was obvious by the taste of the food that it is all freshly produce and brought straight from the oven to your plate (this was confirmed by staff too). If food isn’t enough for you, the treats will be! From brownie, to cheesecake, to scones, to cake, the list goes on. Long story short there’s something for everyone. HAVE TO TRY!!!

First visit for a quick tea and won’t be last: gorgeous food. Very friendly professional gentleman greeted us and explained menu etc. Had the chicken burger and Parmesan/Truffle fries: delicious. Hubby enjoyed his beef pattie and fries too. We will be back to try other dishes on menu soon. Can highly recommend

A great little cafe with a cheery, friendly crew and an owner/barista producing consistently excellent coffee that stands up in any good international coffee culture.

Monday night pie nights are top drawer. Lovely staff, good selection of real ales, dog friendly & the best bit, excellent pies (plenty different flavours to choose from), mushy peas & proper chips. Great excuse for us to walk the dog !! Not many pubs left offering real ale & good pub food in Wakefield, The Star has got it spot on. Well done.
