Visited only for Drinks with my Daughter, to watch the Live Entertainment. It can be quite busy on these Occasions and seems really popular... Drinks priced like most other places.. Although Meals are served here, I cannot comment on the Food having not eaten here... Otherwise a nice place to call for a Drink or a Singalong.

Just had a lovely Sunday lunch. Rang last minute and they found us a table. Two courses, both delicious. Highly recommended. Pogged!

What was once a great establishment appears seems to be sliding downhill. Paid for two cocktails and had someone accidentally spill one of our full cocktails. I was asked by the barstaff why I was waiting when trying to get another and was charged full price despite it not being my fault. It was Horbury craft fair day so busier than usual and the management seem to have employed temporary staff, who looked very young and inexperieced and one particular staff member had difficulty pulling a pint of draught beer. Not only this but my dad, having ordered a round and paid on his card was called back to say his card had been declined and had to insert it twice more before it was approved only to find that two payments had been taken from his account! When he challenged this another staff member shouted across that the duplicate payment would be automatically cancelled but, if not, we should come back in at some point and they would refund it.

Visited for a bottomless brunch. Excellent food, excellent service from Georgia and the team. Highly recommended! Probably the best bottomless in the Wakefield area. 👌🏻

We came for Sunday lunch to celebrate my sisters engagement and dad’s retirement. There were 8 of us, 7 adults and 1 child. The service was great, waitresses were polite and attentive even as the pub got busier. Drinks were great and made correctly, ordered a range of draft beer, cocktails and soft drinks all great, lovely fresh cocktails! We mostly opted for the 3 course Sunday meal. Between us we tried all the starters and all delicious. Mains we ordered chicken kebab, steak pie and the rest of us had the roast featuring a trio of slow roasted meats. The plates came with mash, meats, Yorkshire pudding and roasties. Then veg was brought over to the table sharer style with plenty of roasted carrot and parsnip, cabbage, cauliflower cheese and extra gravy! The meals were cooked lovely, the yorkshires at first glance I expected to be dry but perfect texture for me! Meat a tiny bit on the dry side for my taste however plenty of gravy so not a big issue. Everyone had clear plates! The kids sausage and mash was great, one giant great quality sausage with creamy mash. Would’ve been nice to see a kids Sunday style menu for three courses with a small portion roast - but she enjoyed the sausage and mash! Puddings were fabulous, massive portions I couldn’t believe it, the white chocolate and blueberry cheesecake was fab! Overall great meal, will definitely be back!

Spent a relaxing afternoon here with friends. Lovely friendly pub. Food was great value for money and good quality food. Service and atmosphere good.

Food in my opinion is reasonable priced. Come here often with my partner and has always been nothing short of spectacular. Food is fresh and taste amazing. Staff are very helpful and on hand when needed. Great atmosphere, I’d say this is probably my favourite pub in Horbury. Will return.

We popped into the Cherry Tree over the weekend to test out the new menu shown on Facebook. Tried the loaded fries. Great food to have with a beer. Loved the atmosphere and the staff were very polite and quick to set and clear the table. Looking forward to trying more of the food. Would definitely recommend if looking for a good place to visit in Wakefield.

Shocking service. We booked a table at half 3 and yes it was busy as it was Easter Sunday. The waitress wasn't ready to take our order so was waiting 10 minutes. Fair enough. We both ordered the 3 meats Sunday lunch. About 15 minutes later the food arrived and we were tucking in and it was nice but was half way through when I realised I didn't have any beef and my partner didn't have any turkey. No problem we swapped some around. We then heard another couple complaining about their meal and in turns out we had been given theirs. OK mistakes happen. They came and cleared the plates away and we explained you gave us the wrong meal but it was all OK. We sat there for 20 minutes hoping to order some pudding when a girl put a reserved at 5pm sign on our table. I said excuse me we've not been asked if we would like pudding yet. She went away and came back 2 seconds later to say we had been asked which was a latent lie. We were told if we wanted pudding we would have to move tables into the next room. I was starting to get annoyed by this point, and said I didn't want move tables and was told it's a private event coming in and I said I wasn't bothered by that either. We decided we had had enough paid the bill and left. No apologies and actually for the inconvenience caused by them we should at the least been offered a free pudding. No intention of going there again and they need to sort their staff out with proper training or stop overbooking when it's busy

Visited with friends Easter Weekend…what a lovely place. Atmosphere amazing, Staff Excellent and Beer Options better than most City Centre establishments. We will be back and look forward to drinking in their Beavertown Bar in the Summer 😀

Just spent 4 hours having a wonderful lunch here nothing was too much trouble for the staff, service and the food was great. Can't understand why people have bitched about it.

I was in saturday night. Two women sat opposite They had a dog with its paws sitting on the table. The manager sitting close by never said a word. People have to eat off them tables. Not very hygienic.

Absolutely wonderful place. A friend who lives near says it was empty for a long while. It is now very, very nice with great atmosphere and a wide selection of drinks of all varieties at mostly reasonable prices. Great staff are very helpful. Off road car park to rear and on street parking. Lovely clean toilets

My first visit the the cherry tree,the food and service is outstanding,great selection of beers and lagers at very reasonable prices,will definitely be returning soon.

Had a Sunday roast dinner on 18 February. The food was spot on as was the service and its always a nice atmosphere. 👌

I would challenge anyone to find a better value and quality Sunday Lunch. Not the first time we have been and every bit as good as previous visits. The food is delicious and plentiful. The Steak and Guinness Pie is to die for and the 3 meat Sunday dinner is fabulous. The pub is a great place to be with brilliant staff and service. There were six if us and six empty plates at the end. The selection of beers is great with some local brewed Horbury Brewery Ales (Citra is brill) Thank you

Great Food, Team and atmosphere. Would recommend to all if you like a village Pub with excellent food, IPA Beers and In house Brewed Casks.

We went out for dinner and the experience was terrible.. For price l paid, I would expect vegetables to be freshly cooked and not sourced from a freezer shop. Meat as tough as the sole on my boot. Therefore, l would consider the meal was below standard. My partner meal did not fair much better with the salad garnish being limp and days old. Service was friendly..In future l will stick to having drinks

We’ve visited before just for drinks, but we came this time for their Wicked Night, it really was exceptionally good. Friendly staff, fantastic food, and really well run - great entertainment and a good price - just great! For £30 each on a Wednesday night, you got free unlimited drinks (anything on tap, red, white or rose wine, Prosecco or a themed cocktail) exceptional buffet food ( it was Mexican themed) fantastic desserts, and an exceptionally good themed couple of singers. It was so good we paid a deposit for the next night on the spot, which is an Andrew Lloyd Webber night. I have absolutely nothing negative to say - it was a lovely environment, everyone got a seat, great entertainment and extremely good food. We’ll be back for sure - save a space for us!

3 boutique bedrooms that have recently been refurbished to a high standard. Good coffee and tea facilities in room. Lots of nice touches in room and bathroom ( sleep kit in drawers). Meal in the evening was good me make sure you are hungry! Sharing platter huge. Steak delicious. Profiteroles to finish. Definitely will go back.

Lots of people in the place but loads of staff stood about doing nothing. When you needed a drink they were ready to serve you but it was just a bit strange. Singer really good and a bonus.

Had a xmas 'do' with friends last night. I had the xmas menu which was superb! So much food that I took home a doggy bag. Three courses & a glass of prosecco (the profiteroles were wonderful). My friends had various meals from the other menu & all were top notch. Staff were lovely, friendly & attentive. Nice xmas decor & atmosphere. Will visit again.

Visited our local pub ,been many times before and thoroughly enjoyed! Subdsy lunch and brekkie brilliant !! Heard meals had gone down hill ! But gave it a go and took friends , booked for 6.00 ,Saturday . Yes Saturday is busy, but couldn't talk for the way too loud music piped music ! , people were having to shout above the music to talk ! Meal arrived, the seasonal vegetables were tasteless frozen mixed veg, the beef brisket was a miniscule amount and absolutely tasteless, no seasoning at all! Had seen this arrive nxt to us but didn't notice the veg, the brisket sat on a mountain of mash , asked for mine reducing and extra veg to replace which they did and was a nicely cooked portion of fresh cabbage, The mixed grill , was accompanied by a very watery garlic and mushroom sauce, but tasty, how do you put this on a board ?? Asked for a plate, and steak, quite tough! Asked the choices for gluten free pudding for an adult !!! Ice cream !! That's just so lazy , so none of us had a dessert out of protest! . So many gluten free choices to buy in ! Can't blame cost of living crisis, as frozen veg is more expensive . Sadly very disappointing. The singer was flat , and wrecked every song he played and again way too loud while we were trying to have a meal. !! Left very early . Very expensive for what we had. Not value for money except the burger & chips which is why I gave a 2 rather than 1!!

Food was ok but no Gluten free sweet other than ice cream. Waitress was lovely. Veg with meal was also frozen. Atmosphere wasn't too bad until the tone deaf 'singer' also was so noisy talking was almost impossible.

5 star food and service. 6 of us visited for Sunday Lunch at 4pm. The pub was full with a great lively atmosphere. The pub has been refurbished and is a delight to be in. The food was ordered and brought to us in a timely fashion but never rushed. Bearing in mind the place was full of people eating, the food was served piping hot and cooked to perfection. It matched or beats any other Sunday Lunch/meal we have had. It was brilliant with lovely friendly staff. A brilliant array of beers and drinks are well priced as is the food. The Cherry Tree is now a firm favourite of ours and will not be long before we visit again

Wow, this has to be the best Sunday dinner i've had since i don't know when.Piping hot and plentiful. Trio of meat, which was Beef, Pork and Turkey. Yorkshire pudding on a bed of mashed potato, roasted carrots and parsnips, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, cabbage, sage and onion stuffing and a large jug of gravy. £15.95 Staff were very attentive too and the beers not bad as well. Real ale brewed on the premises. 10/10

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The rooms are 5* with everything you need. Food is beautiful and the staff are amazing. I would recommend this little stunner to anyone.

The first time going there, they have live bands and groups, plenty of room for people, and dogs 🐕 can go in nice and friendly staff and people. Well worth going for a night out thanks

Birthday family meal - Home cooked style food in nice surroundings. Choice of 1/2/3 courses , reasonably priced. Lovely gin glass! Steak pie was gorgeous but would have liked extra gravy and my cheesy mash could have been slightly more cheesy!

my wife and I visited The Cherry Tree today, it's the first time we have eaten there and my first time going there. The pub is very nicely decorated but the food was exceptional. We ordered The Cherry Tree Table Topper sharing platter. It was the best pub food I've ever had and I've had quite a bit. 100% on the food and service. I went to the bar to pay the food and was asked by a young man behind the bar, "would I be paying for it all together?", "do you mean the food and drinks?"......an odd question I thought. he said, "are you splitting the bill ?" Bearing in mind I'm 53 and my wife is not quite 50 I thought what a weird and question which only served to make me wonder why ask such a question and how odd. Fab food, we will definitely go there again.

What a night! ABBA Greece evening. We loved it drinks were absolutely free flowing and the food was beautiful. Well Done chef who was serving the food x ABBA you even got my husband dancing who never dances! Thank you everyone xx

Five stars from our party of five. A Turkish themed bottomless meal with drinks, alcoholic or otherwise. I was the designated driver, so a small drink for me. Nonetheless, the evening was very enjoyable. A lovely crowd of people, creating a warm and friendly ambiance. Food excellent, beer excellent, and I'm told the cocktails and free flowing wines also top drawer. Staff very attentive, and eager to pour as many glasses of drink as required, with a smile. And finally, the pub itself is testament to the owners pride and foresight to create a very modern , warm setting for all to enjoy. Great night thankyou. Would I go again, yes we've already booked for two weeks from tonight. Would I recommend to family and friends, Absolutely. Enjoy guys. 😀👍🍺🍺

Stayed in their B&B in early June. It catered for our every need and was extremely comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was top class. Friendly owners who made us feel very welcome. Super gastro pub as well. Highly recommend The Cherry 🍒 Tree, we will be back.

We have just had Sunday lunch here for the first time. What a fantastic meal. 2 of us had the leek and cheese pie( veggie option), 2 had the meat meal and our granddaughter had teddy bear pizza. All the meals were imaginatively served on platters, piping hot,lashings of gravy and so so tasty. Deserts were delicious as well. Staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere relaxed and very family oriented. An amazing experience. We shall return!!

Typical old style northern boozer circa 1970s/80's but updated & redecorated to give it a more contemporary style & feel with lots of choices of flavoured spirits & ales.. Lovely place with friendly staff.

Have been going to the Cherry Tree for a while now. Good beers and food. However I sometimes feel that the welcome you get is a bit hit and miss. You can go in some nights and the staff are really warm and welcoming and on other occasions you feel very insignificant. Still a lovely pub though.

The most lovely evening. Wonderful ambience with Spanish flamenco guitar and fabulous food. Great service from all the staff. I highly recommend the theme evenings at the Cherry. High quality food and drinks. Loved every moment. Thank you The Cherry Tree xxxxxx

A lovely pub with a good selection of real ales. The Cherry Tree is also very popular with diners for the lovely food.

We went here for the first time today, for lunch. My partner gave his homemade steak and Guinness pie an easy 10/10 and my gluten free chicken and bacon sandwich was very nice. The staff were very pleasant and they were accommodating of my gluten free requirements and offered plenty of options. The decor was modern but also homely. I usually judge establishments by the quality and cleanliness of the toilets and I wasn’t disappointed today (I want those same wall tiles)!

Had an evening in the Cherry Tree on a recent Saturday. Great pub, great management, great staff, great beer/drinks, great atmosphere. GREAT !

We stayed here when visiting Horbury for a friend’s birthday. The room was amazing…very stylish with great attention to detail. Lots of lovely touches like dental/shaving/sleep kits and a fridge in the room stocked with water and fresh milk…a rare treat in a hotel room!...

The cherry tree is one of our locals and we have seen the pictures of food online and decided to give it a try. I had the lasagna and my partner had the beavertown special. We both only just managed to finish it the portions...

We tried here after a pub elsewhere in Horbury wasnt serving food. We had a lovely meal, very friendly, efficient staff and my Husband was spoilt for choice with the beers! We will be back

What a gem of a find !! Big on service , spotlessly clean , so many places to sit have a chat and enjoy the ambiance of the establishment. Food looked amazing , it's on my list to come back and enjoy some of the dishes on offer. Definitely a place to come and check out

My wife and I stopped in the Morello Suite above the lovely Cherry Tree pub. The staff are so friendly, we had a great meal and listened to a live band, as it was their 1st Anniversary of opening. The room was so much better...
