Bank Street Cafe in Wakefield

First visit for a quick tea and won’t be last: gorgeous food. Very friendly professional gentleman greeted us and explained menu etc. Had the chicken burger and Parmesan/Truffle fries: delicious. Hubby enjoyed his beef pattie and fries too. We will be back to try other dishes on menu soon. Can highly recommend

Terrible service, ordered via phone was told to collect in 20 minutes, arrived and was waiting an additional 40 minutes for our food. This isn’t the first time this has happened to us and others! When asked how much longer we would have to wait we received attitude from the staff. Very badly organised!!!! Won’t be returning

We visited for the 1st time tonight. The food tasted awesome. The portion sizes were great and the price was fantastic value. We can’t wait to return and try more of the menu.

Been on 2 consecutive days (I know, i know) lunch menu was fab but today I tried something off the main menu. Brilliant food, fantastic service and very good price.

We called in for lunch and the food was amazing, we got 2 lunch bowls and shared the mains from them. The staff were kind and helpful and made sure we enjoyed our meals We will deffinitly be back to try the regular menu!

Ordered 2 chicken burgers, wings & steak fries. Waiting 45mins, the chicken for the burgers were cooked after 5 mins and left under the lamps for 40 mins before the burgers were eventually made! Chicken dry and lacking flavour batter burnt, wings ok but batter again burnt, Steak on chips was like rubber!

The dirt fries were a personal favourite but that does not take away from the delicious burgers and mouth-watering chicken! Everybody loved the food - will definitely be back when next in town. The telephone ordering process was very quick - just 15 minutes from ordering to collect! 🍗🍟

I went to this cafe last night around 6pm with my wife after leaving Prop'ur Bar. The layout is attractive and clean and it's a pleasant room to be in and the two guys behind the counter were very friendly. I had a burger with chilli fries and it was lovely - a good-sized portion. Nice to have another choice in Ossett town centre.

Visited last night for the first time. Will definitely be going back again. The place itself is very nice and the staff are lovely. The guys cooking/serving were really pleasant and helpful. I had the hopsburger and dirt fries, both of which were absolutely delicious. So glad we gave it a chance - will be back again.

Just moved to the area so was having a walk round amd found this little gem. Super friendly & cosy little place! Amazing food at good prices! Will return!

The family were looking forward to try this place. Tried to order 3 times in 1 hour and was told "we are taking phone orders yet, ring back in 20mins" this carried on for 1 hour. Then when they were taking phone orders it was "1.5 hours waiting time!" What is the point! Food looks good but won't be trying out of principle.

The New Bank Street Kitchen is amazing. Burgers done just how they should be. Polite staff, great food and the salt & pepper fries are something else.

If you want a full English then this is the place. Esp if you can handle the beast lashing of bacon, sausage, eggs, spam, toast, mushrooms, toms and you can add more like hash browns and black pud. Staff are friendly Newspapers available to read.

Another visit to this fantastic, family run cafe. Early saturday morning before a day out. Wonderful breakfast again at a very reasonable price. It was free with my full loyalty card! Bonus. Friendly staff always willing to have a natter. Well recommended. Try it folks

Unbeatable value. Food freshly cooked and well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. They will prepare pretty much any variety of food requested if given notice. Loyal diners and new customers appreciate the effort.
