Wear layers, lots of them! The eating area is freezing. Never took our coats off with our server wearing a heavy cardigan.

Food was good music from the speakers was a bit of a pain

staff are all really friendly, they go above and beyond and are all great with our 7 year old daughter. the food is very nice and reasonably priced

Absolutely delicious food. Three of us all had different things - starter and main each and every single dish was delicious, fresh and a joy to eat. And reasonably priced. Service was attentive and pretty fast. I liked the welcoming environment and easy parking behind the venue. Will be going back.

The 3 of us had a great meal out here today. The decor is recent with lovely watercolour style walls, with dark green contrast wall. Lovely wait staff. Menu just changed with flavours from around the world. We had the joren chicken bites to start in a lovely slightly spicy glaze with a lovely dressed salad. Absolutely delicious. Mains were Macaroni with garlic bread and side salad. Steak pie, mash & veg, and Peppercorn chicken, rice & veg. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Desserts next. We had chocolate fudge cake which you can ask for hot or cold and served with cream, ice cream or custard. The double noughat I had was amazing, just like from the ice cream van. Came on a plate with raspberry sauce, strawberries and blueberries it was all absolutely amazing. Good portion sizes and good prices. Haven't got a negative word to say. Staff were very attentive even though it was busy. Would thoroughly recommend.

5 star half chicken Sunday roast massive and delicious. Then met a couple we hadn't seen for a while and had a few drinks in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Staff are great too! Thanks

When standing at the bar having a beer, you are constantly being asked to move to allow the waitress room

Good pub but Management closes bar at 8pm during week not the way to run a business. Customers eventually will go elsewhere.

Highly recommend! Three friends and I had a great afternoon here. Food was delicious and well presented. We shared lots of different dishes and loved everyone of them. The salt and chilli tempura and the haggis parcel were my highlights! The cocktails were great to - all served in nice glasses and with a fresh garnish. Front of house staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon!

Visited the Whifflet Arms yesterday with friends. The food was delicious we shared a lot of starters, the haggis parcels were so tasty and I would also recommend the salt & chilli tempura chicken, infact everything was so tasty and very well presented, can’t comment on dessert (choice looked amazing) as the mains were so filling. The cocktail list is extensive and taste better than they look. A lovely modern place and the staff are very friendly I will definitely be returning to the Whifflet Arms. Compliments to the chef it’s so difficult to find a public house with good food nowadays.

Had the best meal tonight, lentil soup with ham 🥰 was amazing perfect portion with warm bread.. the steak pie was to die for proper done pastry and melty stew.. even managed dessert, caramel cake with custard and it was the best av had in a long time. Service was fabulous and it was really busy staff were very attentive will definitely be back.

We went here last for the first time and needless to say it will also be the last time we will ever go there food was absolutely terrible ordered the boneless chicken and it was completely over cooked the mains the steak pie couldn't have been anymore dry if they tried and the chilli con carne had no flavour or spice to it what so ever frankly it was so bad I believe they should have paid us to eat it avoid this place

Very inexperienced staff, beers run out, no food on a Sunday. Sunday should be busy in there. Have to ask for football to be on. Not great.

This was one of the worst meals we have ever had got soup and salt and chilli tempura chicken to start with the chicken just had raw chillies cut and put all over the top of it ...the soup was so thick that the bread stood up in it ....then we got onion rings and fish and chips plus chicken and peppercorn sauce ....the fish and onion rings where so greasy there was really no fish in it ...it was just a big plate of greasy batter plus the chicken was tasteless ....apart from the food the staff where nice about it and gave us money off our bill as we could not eat it ...but to be honest we would not go back

So pleased to see the Whifflet Arms open and serving food again. We were seated in a lovely booth for our family meal. The waiting staff member was attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Nachos, haggis bites and cheese bites for starters were all lovely. The mains are big portions so make sure you have an appetite and it's great value for two courses for £11.95. We had steak pie, fish and chicken goujons and don't think any of us managed to finish off our meals and had no room for desserts. If there was any negative feedback fish could've had a slightly more crispier batter and same for the chips. We also had cocktails which we highly recommend. Overall, lovely staff,surroundings and atmosphere - on nice days there is also a beer garden outside perfect for summer nights

Oh Dear! The Whifflet Arms used to be a great place to eat and socialise. The restaurant has just reopened after a long spell of just being a pub. My Wife and I went today for lunch. And I have to say We we’re sorely disappointed. We ordered starters which came out relatively quickly and were ok! However the mains, that was another story! My wife ordered lasagna and I ordered a cheeseburger .After 45 mins I asked the waiter if our food was coming to which he replied It would be out soon , after another 15 mins I was approached by the waiter to inform me that our food was being plated but the “Chef” had cooked a chicken burger instead of what I ordered. By this time We we’re starving and I accepted his apology and took the Chicken burger! Another 10 mins and the food finally arrived! The Chicken in the burger was over cooked and dry, my wife’s lasagna was dry and hard. All in all terrible! The table next to us had been in and still hadn’t received their mains after 1hr. Another table returned their food shortly after receiving it! When paying the bill the waiter apologised profusely and said that they had a new “Chef” and it wasn’t working out (understatement). The waiter didn’t charge us for drinks and only charged us for one meal. Over all very, very disappointed!

Always happy to visit the Grange! Friendly staff and atmosphere who never hesitate to go the extra mile whenever they can required. The Grange offers a very decent, reasonably priced menu (I’m relatively local but residents often cite this as a deciding factor over generic local hotel chains) which is complemented by an excellent range of beers...I can confirm that they do the best pint of St Mungos anywhere! It’s also a great venue for an introduction to gin/whisky tasting due to their varied selection. All aspects considered I find it difficult to argue against a top rating.

Great food at reasonable prices. You are always made to feel welcome. Very clean. Good car parking at rear.

30 family members were here on 13th May for lunch and there wasn’t a complaint from any one of us. Meal was really lovely, staff were very pleasant and obliging and couldn’t do enough for us. Would certainly recommend this place

I visited with 2 adults and 5 children ranging from 13 to 2, the menu catered for all and no two people had the same. I had the scallops to start which were cooked to perfection (although I was a bit dubious about ordering this from a “pub”) the lamb curry was amazing and had just the right amount of hotness that you would expect, We had clean plates all round which doesn’t happen very often.

Visited the Whifflet Arms on mon 12th march with a few friends,it was quite busy but the excellent staff got us a table for after a ten minute wait.For starters we had the tempura chicken and haggis parcels was 1st class.For mains my wife and i had the macaroni cheese which was fantastic with garlic bread, our friends had breaded haddock and balmoral chicken which was also excellent the prices are also 1st class for the quality of food.Keep up the good work compliments to the chefs and the front of house.

I visited here on a snowy Saturday afternoon with two other ladies. We were warmly greeted and sat at a table overlooking the rear of the restaurant.

This was one of our ultimate favourite places in Coatbridge. My partner's family love it and come here quite often, at least once a months.

Mi marido dijo que su torta de carne era la mejor que había probado nunca, las porciones son grandes y sus hortalizas realmente fresco. Mi hermana tenía una lasaña que ella lo disfrutamos. Tuve chickenbreast cubiertas con haggis y salsa de whisky, que estaba riquísimo. El personal es muy agradable y su decoración se ha modernizado recientemente, parece que el hombre en el pub fuera, pero bien vale la pena una visita. Intento ir allí cuando estoy en la zona.

Tienes que reservar para el almuerzo/cena especialmente en el fin de semana, ya que es tan popular. El menú es variado y la comida siempre está bien presentada y perfectamente cocinada. (Nos encanta la tempura plato de pollo). Si usted tiene niños con usted, usted no es apresurada por la puerta. Hay un gran jardín en la parte trasera, que recibe un montón de sol y es muy concurrida en los días buenos. Gran jukebox también! Fin de DJ/Karaoke satisface a todos los gustos musicales y no se sorprenda si hay un montón de gente bailando.

Nunca con la comida y el ambiente aquí. Precios razonables para comida de buena calidad y bebidas. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Got off to a bad start when the waitress brought the wrong drinks. Okay, anyone can make a mistake, but after changing the drinks, she billed us for the wrong drinks at the end. She needs to pay attention, after all it was a Sunday afternoon and NOT busy. I had the Chicken Tempura to start with and it was delicious. My companion had Breaded Mushrooms, which though tasty, was a rather stingy portion. I had Chicken Balmoral for my main course and it was average, nice enough, but the chips were a wee bit hard and chewy. My companion had steak pie, and again a rather stingy portion for the money. We won't be rushing back.

Visited the whifflet arms yesterday 8th may was quite busy especially for a monday. Got a table though and kelly couldn't do enough for us.The meal was superb had king prawn bruschetta and chicken tempura which was fantastic.Our mains were arribiata and pepperoni pizza and a medium sirloin steak that was melt in the mouth with a pepper sauce.The place was also spotless and the price for what we had was exceptional.Will be back soon.Compliments to the chefs.

Four of us called in here for dinner. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. It was a Friday night and was very busy however we had rang a few days earlier and booked a table. We all ate different things and everyone agreed it was a great meal. We would go back

We called in on Friday for lunch. We had a lovely meal, really nice size portions. Staff were all really nice. It was really busy but we were well cared for. Excellent price, wont be long and we will return. Well worth a visit

Having had good recommendations we found this a bit disappointing. It was basically a big room off a workman's pub which served food, and was crowded and noisy. The menu had the standard favourites, steak pie, fish and chips, mac and cheese etc, but nothing out of the ordinary. although the portions were substantial. Not impressed by the fact that they hadn't recorded our booking, and when two of us ordered scampi, we were told it was off the menu . The visit was saved by the friendly and helpful staff, although I m not sure I would rush back.

I visited here on Monday lunchtime with a friend. We were given a warm welcome when we first arrived and shown to our seats.We ordered 2 courses each both of which were lovely. Staff were very attentive and the restaurant was continuously busy the full time we were there. It is reasonably priced for both food and drinks.I would recommend the haggis parcel or garlic mushrooms for starters, very tasty.For main we both had the chicken goujons which were large portions and we could not finish these. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Called in yesterday for a meal. Staff very nice. Went with my elderly mum who uses a wheelchair a member of staff thoughtfully came out and opened the back door for us. The food we beautiful, we hand the tempura haddock which the made into a smaller portion for my mum. I have eaten here many times before but I cannot thank the staff enough for their friendly and efficient service. The quality of food is excellent and fantastic value. Thank you.

From the outside it looks like a typical West of Scotland pub! Inside it is a cosy bar and restaurant, well presented and decorated. Very good menu and friendly staff to assist!! This is a good spot for lunch and a few drinks. If you are looking for good pub food at a reasonable cost, and a good atmosphere, then look no further!!!

Wow unbelievable, amazing food ,staff and atmosphere. Eat here most weeks sometimes even twice, find if I go anywhere else will say yeah food was fine but it just isn't the whifflet arms. You'll feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. Nothing to much for staff will go above and beyond.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I had heard mixed reviews. I was going to cancel as I was going there for my birthday dinner. I am glad I didn't. We had a lovely meal and I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of food all 6 of us had a great night. The bar area was extremely busy but once in the restaurant area it was okThe only thing I would say is that the service could've been a wee bit better. The girls were all lovely but I think they could've had more presence in the restaurant. Also it would be good to offer the sauces which come with some meals to be separate to pour over as I felt there was too much on the plate.Will definitely return.

I eat here often and the food is always good. The food and drink are really good value for money The downside is the place is just too noisy as the bar area is next to the restaurant and does not have a door to block out the sound

I have visited a few times, couples and family celebrations. It's always flawless! The food is to die for, the service can be a little slow sometimes, and a couple of time we have ended up with lots of empty glasses on the table that where not collected when new drinks where brought out. Still worth it.

My husband and l were looking for somewhere different to go as it was our 27th wedding anniversary and we came across this little pub when we were out for a drive. The food was amazing and the prices are brilliant as was the menu. I am in a wheelchair and there is access from the carpark which is at the rear of the property.I would definitely recommend this restaurant for all occasions and we are definitely going back to try their Sunday roasts.

Went to the whifflet arms tonight for dinner with family from England, we had a fantastic night food was amazing and so was the service. The only downside was it's very noisy so if you are wanting a quiet place to talk then I would think twice but if you don't mind the noise then I would definitely recommend this place, the food is all homemade and fresh also the portion sizes are definitely not skimpy even my husband was struggling and he has a good appetite

Advertising live sport, in for a meal and watch the golf and it's like a disco, asked for one of the speakers to be turned off at one of the TVs only to be told the bar staff are not allowed to turn it down, oh well 5 off us will be spending our money elsewhere today, shame.

I much preferred the two course deal option as it seemed better value for money. Main meals at £8.95+ albeit big servings isnt my preference, Id rather a smaller portion and choice of two course for this price, like it used to be. Its a shame places seem to do this, they do well then up their prices....Staff are friendly and attentive and being newly refurbished the place does look lovely. Food is nice too, though for prices now being charged think the chicken goujons should be served with handcut chips (same as the fish) and not the greasy cheap fries (which on our visit filled half the plate!).

My husband and I, along with our 6 year old, went for an evening meal last month. We frequent occasionally and the food is always enjoyable, and reasonably priced. The service, and attitude of some staff members, is less than pleasant. I find on the whole they are dismissive, blunt and at times downright rude. As much as I've enjoyed meals in the past I'm sorry to say I won't be returning.

With first class food and first class service everyone enjoyed the time with friends.I am sure people said they will return for a social event ,be it birthday party ,or works party or even another funeral
