Delicious! Tasty! Filling! The Bloody Mary’s don’t hurt either. Opted for the goats cheese and hot honey Dutch baby (to die for) while my friend got a classic American (apparently wonderful). Service could’ve been a bit more attentive but it was absolutely pissing down with rain so I’ll let them off. Do think music and decor and general vibes could match the excellence of the food and area a bit more, but will happily return anyway.

We wanted to test the concept of a meal based on pancakes which I have not yet seen in France. The prices are correct! And the dishes are good and plentiful! For allergens they ask when ordering, something rare in France. Please note the restaurant closes early, 9 p.m. but opens at 8 a.m. If we have the opportunity we will test it again. And regarding the service, nothing to say. The staff is there to make sure you have a good time

This is Where London’s most abysmal Pancakes Are. The pancakes were insanely rubbery- i think they stirred the batter too much. Was the chef a 5 year old kid figuring out how to make pancakes for the first time? Wouldn’t be surprised. The pancakes tasted salty and served with maple syrup- it was very funky to eat. The waitress asked us for feedback and we said it was weird after which she asked us to pay the bill ourselves? Don’t waste your money or appetite here

I booked this because my daughter's love pancakes and I thought this would be a lovely treat but honestly they were the worst pancakes we've ever tasted and couldn't finish them. Presentation wise they looked very underwhelming. £91 for four pancakes and four drinks with a £10 service charge. We were disappointed and do not recommend 👎

Not suitable if your coeliac at all. In the London Bridge branch, while they tell you they will make the food separately, they want you to sign you’re happy with cross contamination. Even after explaining that I can see it’s a small kitchen, and as long as the food is made separately, I would be ok with that, they insisted I must sign which caused me to question if the food is made separately. It’s not safe to eat here if you’re coeliac. Additionally, the service is appalling

Absolutely amazing service and food. Went with my wife and 2 young boys. We were instantly greeted with an amazing smile and games/toys for the kids to play with whilst waiting for the food. The food itself was phenomenal- the Boulder, Honey and goats cheese and the kids pancakes all immaculately presented and tantalising to the tongue. Right up to when we left, the service was second to none. Thank you for a lovely evening! If only all restaurants were like this one.

Great pancakes and very good for individuals with allergies, e.g. gluten, wheat dairy. If you don’t book you may have a bit of a wait. Coffee and freshly squeezed juices are also excellent.

We waited for over 20 minutes for someone to take our order. The food took another 20 minutes to arrive. The staff not hands on and need more training. The pancakes are basic and nothing much to it. We paid 41 pounds for two plates of pancakes and a latte (English breakfast and American). Not coming back here- simply overrated !

2nd time we came the food is decent enough but I would love it if there were some sugar free drinks and carb nutritional guidance. We came yesterday for the 2nd time, and hankfully we reserved, but I didn't appreciate the flies especially when it got into my food 😞 I paid alot of money, and not to experience that. I think we waited about 30/45mins for the food, which is just about ok, I always get wary as im a type 1 diabetic (insulin dependent). But I didn't like the flies, I appreciate it's not always easy to control them but it wasn't great having them flying into my food.

A great breakfast / brunch spot with good selection of pancakes. Expect to queue 15-25mins if haven't booked, but once your in the service and food is a delight and good value for money.

Some staff were ok, our waiter was just appalling. 20 mins+ waiting for pancakes, when asked if they were coming out she said she will be checking but kept sweeping the floor for another 2mins and 25mins in I received my pancakes. I finished my pancakes and the order of orange juice was served. Staff on this place needs some training and customer first attitude. Not a busy time, staff were chatting and even dancing to whatever cringey music that came about throughout our stay. My girlfriend's Aperolspritz was OK

Second visit. It's very popular but unsure why. Have to queue for 1/2 hour and honestly it's not worth it. My guest likes it so put up with it. Cider was good but could have been colder

I had an excellent experience at this place! The food was expertly prepared, and the waiters were extremely friendly and quick. It's a perfect spot for brunch with friends. I ordered the caramel pancakes, which, despite being more savory than sweet and having slightly overdone caramel, were still enjoyable. Plus, the outdoor seating was absolutely picturesque and ideal for capturing some great photos.

We had breakfast this morning, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was fresh, well-cooked, and very tasty. It can get quite busy, but if you go early in the morning, you're likely to find a table. It's kid-friendly, with healthy options available on the menu for children. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back.

Staff were super nice and helpful! They also cater well to people who are vegetarian, vegan, or celiac as they have a separate vegan gluten free batter, which I had and it was delicious. Would also highly recommend the Spanish Latte!

Pancakes are not good! It seems like the menu is both savory and sweet, but the pancakes are just savory. I got a stack of 3 pancakes with blueberries and ate only 1 bite cause they tased like cheddar cheese. The wait staff clearly noticed I only took 1 bite never asked how it was or if we liked it. Also very expensive. There’s much better in London and if you’re questioning trying this place you’ll be better served somewhere else.

Went here for a birthday brunch. The pancakes were alright, not quite as flavourful as I'd hoped for and some of the ingredients were a bit sparse (barely any almonds on my berry pancakes). But the servers were so attentive and kind! Could be improved with more toilets in a different location (there was only 1 cubicle approx 1 metre off the indoor seating area).

Awesome sweet and savory pancakes

Terrible service, the pancakes were awful - the waiter asked us how the food was and we mentioned this to him. He apologized and said he would offer us a discount but presented a bill that had no discount at all. We did not complain but left as it was such a terrible experience.

Don't know what to say about this place to be honest... Came in, found a table, got some water and a menu and after that the service basically stopped. I was asked if I was ready to order after 15 minutes, which I was. But the server just left and never came back :p wasted 40 minutes there... and for the record, they had three guests when I was there.

I was at “ Where The Pancakes Are” last week when I was desperately looking for a place to charge my phone. When I walked in, I explained to Rohan if I could charge my phone while dining in, he kindly pointed me to a seat where I could charge my phone. The overall experience was delightful. I was able to calm down and enjoy a fluffy 3-1 pancake. Most of all, I am grateful for Rohan’s kindness which alleviated my anxiety due to the low battery on my phone - not something you can put a price tag on it, so I strongly recommend the place.

Pretty busy on weekends so it's better to book a table but even if you walk in, the waiting time is not critical, around 20-25mins, well, we expected way more tbh. We liked that the hostess offered us options upon seating inside or outside. Not a big deal but that was so nice of her so we accepted an offer to sit inside since it was chilly. We ordered cheese dutch baby and beef pastrami... I'm in love with both of them! My partner was happy to share both dishes and it was so sweet of the waitress to offer us extra plates for it! The way the staff is so caring is impressive, im telling ya, we barely had amy similar experience in other restaurants We really wanted the poached pear caramel but since it's a winter menu, it means that we're gonna visit you again later! This will be our traditional pĺace in England like pizza in Italy, hehe Anyway, great place, service and food! Even though it's so busy, staff gives you their stunning attention 💜

Great place to visit if you are in London.

We are traveling with our two teenage boys, who love breakfast food. I knew they would enjoy a lunch at this place. It was a tiny bit off the beaten path, but we walked there from The Tower of London. The staff were friendly, the ambiance was cute and clean, and the food was enjoyable. It hit the spot, and we enjoyed the meal.

Had the most amazing Vegan, Gluten Free pancakes this morning. With cinnamon glazed fresh pineapple, pomegranate and toasted almonds and coconut cream. I have never tested anything soooo good.

Great selection of sweet and savory American pancakes, friendly service and also dog friendly! My friend and I enjoyed sharing the boulder pancakes and shakshuka corn pancakes. I preferred the boulder pancakes as it was a bigger portion with lots of sides of smashed avo, roasted butternut squash and tomatoes and chickpea salad and they were all tasty. Only reason for the 4 starts was the shakshuka pancakes were quite a small portion and i felt too much tomato sauce to pancake and egg ratio, i also love a spicy shakshuka. The sweet Pancakes looked fab too but i didnt try! All the staff were super friendly to my dog which was so nice. Update: The staff are still super lovely and professional, with quick service. Tried the Royal pancakes and the Almond butter pancakes and I highly recommend the almond butter pancakes. I recommend booking as we did, other people were waiting 30 minutes for a table on a Sunday at 1pm.

Excellent coffee (asked for short macchiato, double) Excellent food. You can taste the herbs. Perfect seasoning.

Quite and lighted space. Unfortunately had to wait about 25 minutes for two dishes with no apologies nor eye contact from the staff whatsoever, and the place wasn't crowded at all. Had the vegan sweet option with the granola and it tasted meh.

Great place for b-fast. The entire team is super attentive and friendly. We have visited over the weekend, and we are truly happy with the choice we've made. Pastrami and BBQ chicken were absolutely delicious. Keep it up, as we will definitely return soon.

Found this gem by chance,and it didn't disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by a host and promptly taken to our table. The team seems to be enjoying working here as they were all chatty and attentive. They even brought a bowl of water for my dog ! We chose to have strawberry pancakes with chocolate and one of the royals with becon. Wow,both are just perfect. It's totally worth coming back again:)

It was a bit distasteful how when we asked to pay thhey asked by qr code acanning on table which didnt work, so then had to go up in person. The QR code payment also doesnt have option to remove the optional service charge. Also not accepting cash payment isnt legal as a debt can always be settled by legal tender. Pancakes were alright, but my egg has black/green underneath not sure what it was. Staff were nice & polite so i hope the service charge goes to them. Probably wouldnt go again as service charge that is already on bill should always be easily removable + you should get full service (eg not having to input all your data on a smart phone to pay and no one serving us a bill)

Delicious pancakes, sweet and savory, not to be missed!

We waited over 45 minutes before the food was served after complaining about the wait both times take the order and to deliver it. The cups smell like stale water from an unclean dish washer. The pancakes were just “okay” and the white chocolate was more like custard. We were surrounded most of the time by a queue for the single toilet.

Quite busy location, expect some waiting time. While the service was great and friendly the food wasn’t the best. Savoury vegan options often lack the same quality and look of non-vegan dishes! (As seen in picture - blueberry one) Go for the sweet ones! Ps: avoid matcha with oat here, could not feel any matcha there. Oat took over the flavour profile. Still a nice place to chill!

We were staying nearby and decided to take our three children for pancakes. We could not believe how busy this restaurant was when we arrived. A lovely waitress said there would be a twenty minute wait for a table so we went for a coffee and popped back. It took a long while for our drinks to arrive but the very friendly waiter had made sure we had water on our table. Our pancakes arrived soon after our drink and they were really good. I had savoury with avocado and tomatoes my family had the strawberry and banana pancakes. I am told the banana was the best and the caramel sauce was fantastic. Yes prices are a little higher than you would expect for pancakes but the quality here is exceptional. It’s clear they use high quality ingredients and the staff are wonderful.

I recently visited Where the Pancakes Are and ordered the full English breakfast, substituting the roasted tomatoes with an extra sausage. Here’s my detailed review: Booking and Seating: If you don't reserve in advance, you'll have to sit outside. This isn't bad if the weather is good, as the outdoor seating area has a roof and blankets, which is quite resourceful. The Meal: My English breakfast included 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, bacon, baked beans, 1 fried egg, and syrup. Although I appreciate that everything was handmade, including the baked beans and pancakes, I found the dish underwhelming. The bacon was overly crispy, shriveled, and looked tiny. A different type of bacon that doesn’t burn easily and looks more appealing might be better. The pancakes were unremarkable and didn't stand out. On the positive side, the sausages were crisp and the beans were fresh, which were the highlights of the meal. Service and Value: The service was fast despite the restaurant being busy, which is good for business. However, I felt that the value was not worth the price. It seems that part of the cost is for the location and surroundings, which were one of the best aspects of the place. Overall Impression: The location is a hidden gem, but overall, I was quite underwhelmed with the meal. In summary, while Where the Pancakes Are has a charming location and efficient service, the food did not live up to my expectations in terms of value and quality.

Lovely little place. The pancakes were absolutely delicious, and the meal was generously portioned. The Green juice I got was also amazing and tasted healthy.

It was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had, and by far, the best pancakes we've tried! Everything else...the bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, and eggs were all cooked to perfection as well! The pancake toppings on the "recovery" were perfection! I was impressed with the amount of toppings; there was a generous layer of bananas on top of my pancakes as well as on the second pancake underneath, which I was not expecting! But really, these pancakes are so good you don't even need the toppings! Oh, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a delicious and refreshing touch to our mimosas. We hope to go back before we leave London!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We made the mistake to come here without doing our research and look attentively at the reviews (read them closely!) otherwise we would probably stayed away because what happened to us was apparently nothing new... Not only was the food completely tasteless and the service subpar, but at the end they had the nerve to overcharge us an almost 15% "special service fee"! They didn't warn us before we paid, nor did they give us a receipt beforehand: we asked for the bill, we paid, and only then did we saw the overcharge. When asked politely for clarification as for the meaning of that "special fee" the waiter immediately called what I supposed to be the manager, who proceeded to give us a sermon in a patronising manner, saying "it is a common practice in the UK"... Let me tell you, folks, we had been in London for almost a week and we were never charged such a fee! When confronted with this the manager started to become even more aggressive and started saying we didn't know what we were talking about and that it was just a "couple more pounds". Unfortunately we had a train to catch and I didn't want to end my vacation with a idiotic brawl over some stupid pancakes and so we decided to leave and leave them be with their "couple more pounds", but I've got to say that for a moment, and after the way we were insulted, I felt inclined to just get the next train, stay there and call the police as this felt like a complete SCAM! Also folks, please bear in mind, the pancakes were really not that good and already quite overpriced, which really started this whole thing off and made matters much worse. PS (answering the restaurant): That is a lie, you did not present us the bill before we payed, you did not ask us if we wanted to tip (which, considering the quality of the food, we wouldn't want to) nor did you offer a refund. In fact, the manager reacted almost as if we had insulted him by asking what the fee meant! You only have to look at a couple of reviews in Google and TripAdvisor to realise this was not the first time this sort of thing happened and it's a shame you nevertheless continue with this sort of dishonest practices.

Not safe for allergies - especially if you have coeliac or a gluten allergy. The staff did not know enough about coeliac or preventing cross contamination, even though I tried to explain my requirements to the waiter at the start of my meal. Getting an even vaguely gluten free meal was hard work. I nearly ordered the Australian style pancakes, marked as “gluten friendly” (whatever that means), when I realised it used oat creme fraiche. After asking the waiter to check with the chef, they confirmed this was not GF. I’m not sure why they even bother marking it as GF on the menu. I then ordered the ‘boulder breakfast’, but asked for the corn fritters and halloumi to be included on the side too. My meal arrived, and a different waiter came over to ask me more about why I couldn’t eat gluten (which should have been asked at the start of the meal if they were unsure). After I explained again that I’m coeliac, and can’t eat anything that has come into contact with gluten, he told me the corn fritters and the halloumi are not gluten free. I then asked for the menu and said I would like to choose another form of protein as an alternative side, to which the waiter responded to say that the chickpeas on my plate should be protein enough. I insisted on being given the menu, and then requested bacon and poached eggs. I was not provided with cutlery in the interim period, and had to ask again for cutlery so that I could actually start eating in the meantime. I finally ate my meal and felt sick shortly after. Clearly there were traces of gluten in the ‘boulder breakfast’ that hadn’t been accounted for. Separately, their bathroom (a single unisex cubicle) did not have any toilet paper. I had to leave pretty swiftly and find a better bathroom elsewhere once I realised I had eaten gluten. Clearly not the place to go if you want safely prepared gluten free pancakes. I will not be returning.

I really wanted to love this place but sadly 2 of our group of 5 had very overcooked pancakes. We didn't complain as celebrating two birthdays and had to wait a decent amount of time for the pancakes. We loved the atmosphere of the place but I really wanted to be able to enjoy my pancakes.

One of the nicest places we've been in London for brunch! We recommend this place, which serves really good pancakes.

Pleasant brunch place with tasty pancakes (including gluten-free options) with a focus on local produce. While there's bench seating outside, the interior is a bit cramped, but still pretty cozy. It gets busy on weekends - make sure to arrive early if you want to snag a table without having to queue.

The staff are trying their best and are very friendly, but we waited 45 minutes for some pancakes.
