Pre dinner drinks which were made extra special by our superb, friendly waiter Alex from Romania. Very knowledgeable on his wines and recommendations - super ambiance and great way to kick start the evening.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, nice views of Borough market from the terrace. Small plates could be better for the price you pay.

Came here with my friend on Friday evening and had an amazing night. The wine was delicious and the small plates were so tasty, smoked burrata is a wonderful thing! As well as the food and drink being delicious, I found the service to be some of the best I’ve had in London. Our server Bee was absolutely brilliant; kind, caring and attentive. Bee made sure our glasses were topped up and helped with food recommendations as well as being chatty and engaged. Would definitely visit again and hopefully Bee will be there to look after us again!

Walked in searching for respite from a heaving Borough Market- wow what a great find. Just had a glass of wine and two small plates. Staff treated us as if we’d ordered a five course meal. Absolutely delicious wine and food. Perfect for a quick lunch on a busy Friday especially when greeted by such lovely staff.

The food, wine, and service were all excellent. We had a really great time here!

Dope spot tucked away in the corner of Borough Market; had a nice bottle of house white and a cheese board that kept us for 2 hours while we chilled in the market. Alex the server gave us great recommendations and made us feel at home, coming all the way from NYC that really made the experience more familiar

Amazing place near the market, Alex was the server he is simply amazing, he was really responsive fast, attention to details and charismatic. I would definitely come back.

Saturday afternoon visit, called in for a drink and a light snack. Understaffed and misleading in terms of how long the food wait is. If you walk in to this place and the market is busy you are canon fodder. They are happy to serve you over priced wine promptly however. We paid our drinks bill and walked out.

Lovely wine here! And a nice, outdoorsy seating area for summer...but you will hear the sound of the trains passing 🙂

Everything very tasty and fresh. The cold cuts with warm bread and rosso wine was fantastic. Ayoub and Mattia's service made the difference. I recommend.

Service was great, unfortunately we picked incorrectly for the seating; outside whilst they were cleaning down borough market - smelly, noisy dusty. Wine was recommended and lovely, glasses were dusty unfortunately. Probably wouldn’t rush back.

The place looks beautiful, the staff is extremely kind and the churros were absoluteley ASTONISHING! I had'nt had better churros when i was in Spain. 10/10 would recommend.

We arrived without a booking and were seated at the back in the market. They were cleaning the market, so it was very loud with trucks, workers and rubbish bins moving around - not the nicest vibe. I asked if we could have a table inside but there weren't any available, which is fine. The waiter then came over and said something to us - which we could barely understand because it was so noisy. I thought he was asking about our dietaries, I said "no dietaries for us two but we are waiting on one more person" to which he replied "well yes obviously that's why I said 3 people." ????????? No need to be rude when we can barely hear you due to the fact you've set your wine bar's courtyard up in what appears to be a trash yard from 5pm. The combo of rude service + not being able to hear each other was enough to make us leave before we ordered anything.

Absolutely fabulous!! I arrived at Bedales on my own. I asked for a table on the terrace, which is great for watching the bustle of the market below. This was no trouble, even they were yet to open it. I was even asked if they could assist me up the stairs, as I had my walking stick (very considerate). This was the first time in a while I was child free, so I wanted to sit with a glass of wine and decided upon pairing it with a cheese board. Alex suggested a fine pairing and I was not disappointed. My water glass was filled as I drank it. The service was accessible but not interfering. A splendid afternoon with fabulous food, drinks and service. My husband and I always come here if we are in London and today did not disappoint!!! Thank you Alex and the team.

Have been to Bedales a couple of times now and always have a wonderful experience. Great wine & food, fantastic atmosphere, and if you can get a table on the balcony overlooking the market it's even better.

Food was lovely and arrived quickly. The service was fantastic. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive and advised well. All in all, a great afternoon out.

Alex was exceptional!! Such good advice on wines, really nice balance between lovely bottles and cost!

Alex is a legend what a great night recommended an unbelievable Barolo and what a Marcillac was unreal value. Cannot recommend enough.

A drinks-only visit: cocktails and wine. Lovely place and will look for an opportunity to eat there.

Firstly, the food and the wine is superb. We had a sharing platter and added som bruschetta and tacos which were all exquisite. The wine list is extensive and opted for a 2018 Sirus Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot at £43. The wine was delicious and so, ordered a second bottle. So, why only 3 stars? The second bottle wasn’t available so on advice we ordered a 2014 Chateau La Tour De By at £78. Sadly, not realising until I was home, I was charged for a £43 bottle of wine we didn’t have and had a service charge of £33.63 added to bill that the serving staff calculated wrong. I’ve since tried to call and get hold of any to speak to. Disappointing end to what was initially a lovely afternoon.

Nice place for a bite and a drink. The terrace over the borough market is nice the only issue are the trains noise since it's next to the rail trace ...all in all nice but would try to stay inside for uninterrupted chat

Ayoub was a fantastic waiter …so knowledgeable and friendly. He had to serve the entire main floor and did it with a smile on his face and was flawless. The tapas were all tasty we tried 80 % of them. Jamon Croquttes and the Padron Peppers were my top 2 out of 10. Great vibe and the Pecorino win was a great accompaniment. Cheers from Canada

Whilst in the market we saw two tables free upstairs. When we went to them we were declined and told there would be a 20 minute wait to be seated there due to shortage of staff - even though there was no one queuing or whatever. Spoiled the moment. Left it and won’t return. All seemed messy and disorganised.

Slow service, had to ask twice for someone to take my order after waiting a considerable amount of time. When a waiter finally took the order they didnt acknowledge us, which I found a bit rude. My bill also contained a service charge, which I paid, but wish I hadn't had to.

Visited here for my birthday and it truly was a special experience. Our waiter Ayoub was superb and looked after us!

A friend of mine and I stumbled upon this place whilst looking for somewhere to eat in Borough Market We liked the location despite being very noisy due to being so close to the station. The service was good but the food selection was limited. More importantly, the markup on the wine is absolutely ludicrous. We selected the first bottle of rose on the list, usually the top item is the cheapest. The price was on the fold of the menu and we didn't pay enough attention to the price. Our fault. However when we got the bill, we were shocked at the price which was £62!!! It's quite disproportionate against the cost of the food. We checked other bottles of rose and they were also expensive. We felt totally ripped off and we won't go there again. It was our fault for not checking properly but the bottle of rose was a run of the mill bottle, certainly not worth that price.
